The linen is good, with minor staining and tears 8/10. Towels OK 7/10 due to some staining. A/C 10/10. The in-room multimedia offerings are good. A perfectly sized large flat screen smart tv linking all media platforms. Slippers, shaving and dental kits are also available in room, with additional available on request. Every member of staff I met with has been 100% committed to their job and excellently represent the hotel in their attitude and effort. The staff can’t be faulted at all, apart from the very limited English spoken and understood by some staff.

In the room folder it says that if you want service related information and to know about hotel policies, you’re supposed to read the fact sheet on the following page. Well this mentions that “outside food is not allowed”. Now critically this isn’t mentioned on Booking.com or any other marketing site I searched, so this is an important policy that you’re not aware of until you get here. The kitchen opens at 7am and closes at 10:30pm. If you want something to eat outside of those times then you can’t have anything, because essentially the kitchen is closed, there is no room service and neither can you order take away food to be delivered to the hotel. Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 10am and there’s a specific section on the menu for things that are only served in the morning, for example grilled chicken sandwich, grilled veg sandwich, egg sandwich, chicken cutlet, french fries which are all things a Westerner might opt for on a menu because they’re more familiar items to eat “at any time of day”, but also less likely to be spicy. But you can’t order any of these things after 10am. Why? The great majority of the menu is all Indian food, which is understandable, it is India after all and I imagine Westerners form a small part of the customer demographic. In this regard Indian guests are very well catered for in terms of menu choices. The starters are mainly all Indian, and a large section of the menu is oriental, i.e Chinese. Indian veg accompaniments. Indian veg and non-veg. Indian breads. Indian rices. “Combo meals” which are all Indo-Chinese. And that’s it. There is no consideration of anyone who might have certain dietary requirements and yet at the same time the policy is basically saying “you eat here or you don’t eat at all!” Well that’s just wrong! I put an order in for snacks like croissants, crisps, flavoured water, to be delivered because I’d walked around the shops in the local area and there aren’t any of these things available.

The breakfast was wholesome and very good. The location was slightly out of the way.

Electric kept going off. Ac kept going off. Weather is 43 degrees outside. Still had to pay full price for the room even though we had problems. Mattress was so hard, very uncomfortable.

This hotel blew my expectations away with how nice it was for the price point. At this price point I expect a hotel to be suitable, but this one actually felt luxurious! I highly recommend. It was very close to a major road for convenience but off a side path that was very quiet and safe!

Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean.

Unfortunately the card machine did not work:- had to draw cash to make payment which was an inconvenience when checking out. Location isn’t ideal, even though the hotel is great

Shahnawaz, Rahul and Anikit were extremely welcoming and the stay was very pleasant. They helped me when I asked for help. Also I asked where was good to eat and Shahnawaz suggested eating in the hotel because the chef is very good. He was not wrong. The food was probably the best I have tasted. Thanks and compliments to the chef.

The staff were honestly amazing. I accidentally left my camera charging at the reception desk, and after I’d already been in a taxi for about five minutes on the way to Patna Sahib, the driver got a call and the hotel staff came out personally to return it to me. Really honest people, and I appreciated how carefully they check IDs and print documents when needed. Their service felt genuinely caring and reliable.

The location feels a bit sketchy at first, especially late at night, and the room was slightly dusty - nothing major, but noticeable.

Locatiin of the hotel is very central, railway stn is 2kms, aurport 8 kms, markets are around the corner, the Bihar museum is next door, the staff are very polite, concerned about our comfort, the hotel has very elaborate buffet breakfast & very good dining facility too

Neugebautes, komfortables Hotel mit schönen Zimmern. Angenehme Größe, sehr ordentlich ausgestattet. Fenster geht zwar nur in einen Lichtschacht ab, störte aber nicht, da das Umfeld ohnehin wenig zu sehen bietet. Zimmer dadurch sehr ruhig. Preiswertes und gutes Restaurant für Dinner. Frühstück indisch, reichlich und gut. Personal sehr freundlich.

Unfortunately on arrival my husband and I were suffering from food poisoning. Shahnawaz, the manager could not have done enough for us. He arranged a video call with a doctor and arranged our treatment. He was incredibly kind and kept checking on us. Thanks also to Rahul who kindly arranged our onward transport.

Our room was too small. The location was quiet and secluded, which is good. But the roads leading to and from the premises were poor. Access needs to be improved.

Their cafe served delicious food, and the staff from the reception to the waiters went above and beyond the call of duty to be helpful. Would recommend this hotel highly, no need to waste money on corporate hotels when you have a friendly, locally owned hotel with all amenities

Clean comfortable rooms with friendly and helpful staff. You would not regret. Breakfast was excellent and staff were professional. Check in and check out was smooth and they accepted our request of late check out. Visa card was accepted and it made payment easy. Hotel staff also helped us to arrange taxi service to Bodhgaya.

Good I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel sharda residency and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The hotel's cleanliness and maintenance were top-notch, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable

I did have some issues with the bathroom layout in my room.(Front facing) The design and configuration of the bathroom made it somewhat uncomfortable to use. Specifically, the Western toilet seat was poorly placed, with the sink positioned directly in front of it. This made it difficult to maneuver and use the facilities comfortably. While the hotel's cleanliness and maintenance were up to the mark, the bathroom layout was a letdown. I hope the hotel will consider renovating or reconfiguring the bathrooms to make them more user-friendly. Overall, I would still recommend this Hotel for its comfortable rooms and excellent staff, but with the caveat that the bathroom layout needs improvement.

requested for additional bed and paid for it too, however the mattress provided was of horrible quality. Hard as a log of wood! Couldn't sleep the whole night.

The hotel restaurant is very good. Which is quite fortunate, because there are not many good options in the neighbourhood. The room was comfortable.

The location, while not too far from the train station, is not near anything of interest, and taxi and rickshaw drivers did not know where this place was and had a lot of trouble finding it ... even when I showed them on a map.

Rahul the manager was exceptional. He took great care of us, arranging taxis, settling us in and checking in often to make sure our stay was great. The hotel is very clean and the food is very tasty, some of the best we had in our entire 3 week stay in India. The hotel rooms and public areas are maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness. I would not hesitate to stay again!

The Hotel Sharda Residency was a great place to stay in Patna. The hotel manger could not do enough to make sure our stay was memorable. He helped arrange a taxi tour of the attractions in Patna and allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel after check out prior to our overnight train. The restaurant has great food at reasonable prices and the butter chicken and Rogan Josh we had were great. The hotel is very clean, close to the train station and I highly recommend any tourists to stay here.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel particularly the hospitality, great food, cold air conditioning and the excellent wifi.
