We loved staying here! Located close to many restaurants, cafes, and bars. Easy to get anywhere in CDMX via Uber. Beautiful tree lined street, taco stands close by. Highly rated cafe across the street. Room was clean, comfortable bed, and they accommodated a late night check in. Daily cleaning. Balcony was a bonus. Would stay here again.
This property is nothing like they described it; this is a place without any carbon monoxide alarm which can be extremely dangerous with recent tragedies of people passing away in their sleep because of carbon monoxide poisoning. If you care about your personal safety, you can either avoid this place or bring your own alarm to prevent unnecessary tragedy while on vacation. Now, to be honest the area is great and quiet with a lot of restaurants around and nice boutiques/cafe and museums. The hotel is very small more like a house turned into hotel type. We had a 3 nights but left after the first day and abandoned the other 2 nights for our sleep safety. We haven’t got a refunds but better be safe than sorry.
The location is fantastic and the restaurant downstairs seems incredibly popular (hence high noise levels), and we tried the food one night and it was pretty good. The lift to the room is separate to any kind of "front desk" so it feels more like an Airbnb in that you don't really see any faces and so it's hard to comment on service. The room was smaller than appeared in the photo but clean and tidy. Shower worked well but note the hot water takes quite a while to kick in! Location is the main draw here.
Great stay and would recommend for a comfortable, central location
Nancy was a great host and responded to all our questions in a timely manner. The area is convenient and walkable with many famous restaurants and convenience stores nearby. There were mosquitoes in our room every night so be careful and it does get loud on the weekends due to a popular restaurant being on the first floor. Overall, we would stay here again!
Aside from the two good options at the hotel there are plenty option nearby within walking distance. The bed was comfortable, however, around the hotel can be very nosey during the evening and early mornings.
I took a solo trip to CDMX and as a female traveler I felt extremely safe in this area. It is very walkable, near metro, bars and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and my experience was great. It is important to download Whatsapp as that is the way of communicating with staff. Room was great, clean and spacious. At night it does get loud as there are bars near by & traffic in the AM. Can't wait to revisit.
Our stay at Durango 219 was perfect! The location is incredibly convenient and safe, and having two on-site restaurants with good food and service was a major plus. The room was clean and well-equipped with comfy beds and good air conditioning. I also loved having a private balcony! The staff was very helpful and communicative. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City.
Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and easy to communicate with. The room exceeded my expectations and the location is perfect for walking to various parts of the city. Restaurants on the roof and ground floor were also great.
Great Location Friendly staff Very Clean 24hr Reception
Overall good experience. As others point out you will not have solitude and quiet here. The corner is bustling and busy especially Friday and Saturday. There is loud music from competing businesses. The room is comfortable: has a little Nespresso machine and 2 pods replaced daily. A pitcher of clean water is also provided. Room is serviced daily. The sliding balcony door did not lock. The mechanism is broken. We used the room safe constantly.
Super comfortable beds. Spacious room with 2 queen beds and a nice bathroom. Would recommend staying here!
Amazing as a solo traveler
Very flexible and nice rooms
Not all rooms have a/c so I was surprised when it was adverstised as such and my room had a fan. It was early April so not too hot yet but during the daytime it sure was hot and stuffy. At night I opened the bathroom window. So, I would not stay here over summer or hot periods, in case the room assigned has zero aircon.
Walls were very thing but was very clean, and in a perfect area!
We had an amazing experience at Hotel Durango 219 in Mexico City. This boutique hotel is a true gem—beautifully designed, incredibly chic, and offering top-notch service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything effortless. Whether it was a request or just general assistance, they were always friendly, accommodating, and quick to help—no hassle, just seamless service. The hotel itself is in a fantastic, trendy neighborhood that feels very safe and is conveniently close to many attractions, making it an ideal location for exploring the city. Our room was modern, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day out. It has 2 restaurants on location and the restaurant downtown stairs, Babero is a 5 star restaurant. It has amazing food & great service! If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with a great atmosphere, outstanding service, and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend Hotel Durango 219. I would absolutely stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay. The room was large and airy, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The location is in the heart of Roma Norte with fantastic dining and shopping at the door step. We will stay at this hotel again for our next visit to Mexico City !
Outstanding hotel in a wonderful area. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here for 6 nights and will be back again. 10/10 stay.
Location is top notch in Roma Norte. Room is good, with great bed and great shower also. Quite loud in the room on a Saturday night, but once the restaurant below closed at midnight it quickly quietened down, and absolutely no noise (other than standard road noise) on Sunday. Worth noting the hotel does not have a proper reception - the reception is a desk next to the restaurant Babero, and the hotel shares its lift with the public going up to Margot. No problems with this for us but it means there is not always a concierge to speak to, at night there is only a security guard.
Great all around -location, staff, room, restaurants & bar!!! Note that not all rooms have air conditioning. Not a problem in January, but would be most other times of the year. A bit noisy at night, from the bar music. Which didn’t bother me as I was out late. Lighting in the bathroom could be a lot better (hard to put on makeup) and the rainfall shower although pleasant, isn’t very good for getting shampoo out of long, curly hair (more pressure is a must). Very comfortable beds & bedding, well appointed rooms, mini fridge and Nespresso machine in suite! Staff were friendly and helpful, Nancy in particular. Would recommend staying here.👍👍👍
Nice hotel. Central and good location. I quickly realised that the ear plugs provided in the room is not a service but a necessity. I was in a room just upstairs from the ground floor restaurant, and the music meant that it was close to impossible to sleep.
Got this room for my parent who told me they really enjoyed the room, service, and had no complaints. Location was great and it has a restaurant both on its rooftop and downstairs.
Loud and busy area, beautiful hotel
I had a fantastic stay! My room was so stylish and comfortable and the hotel's location is extremely convenient. Additionally, all the staff I interacted with were so lovely and helpful especially Nancy. Thank you Nancy!
If you like noise then this is your place. I booked 2 rooms months in advance. When we arrived they asked us who wants to be on the 1st floor and who wands to be on the 3rd. Never did it occur to them to honor our original request of rooms on the same floor. The first floor room is directly above a restaurant. You will hear music and loud talking all night long. if you don't want sleep, then this is your spot. The do provide you with complimentary earplugs. just absolutely the worst experience ever.
I love this hotel, Ive decided to stay twice here and I would definitely stay again. Super comfortable and beautiful
Hotel was in the perfect location and was a large and well designed room. Nancy on front desk was excellent help. Only downside is temperature. It's a mobile AC unit which is quite noisy for sleeping, and the bathroom doesn't have AC so is very warm. Otherwise we do recommend this place highly and would stay again.
Would stay here again!
Really wonderful location with ample opportunities for dining out in the immediate vicinity. Albeit a little loud at night, it’s a small trade off for the views and great room. Would highly recommend for the morning coffee on the balcony alone.
The view from the balcony was sweet, definitely made a wise choice by staying here.
great location. Staff was superb
This hotel is in a great area. There’s a nice mall across the street & nice restaurants nearby. This is my 1st time in Mexico City& I felt very safe at this hotel. My friend stayed at the hotel also & we both like it. Although we never tried the downstairs restaurant we did go to the rooftop restaurant/bar& we like it. The only thing I’d like in the room is a small fridge. I like cold water & maybe a bottle of cold wine.
Xx
Todo está excelente sólo creo que CDMX no está preparado para altas temperaturas y no tiene aire acondicionado
Great spot for the neighbourhood!
This is a city centre hotel and so the area is bustling around it. That is what we were looking for. It is in a lovely suburb of Mexico with lots of things to see and do just by walking. The room itself was clean and modern, and although the hotel is not large, the rooms were of ample space. They have a very lovely little rooftop bar and restaurant where we had breakfast the first morning. The standout reason that I recommend the hotel is the service. It is a modern way of communicating and so you will be contacted via Whatsapp. Throughout the stay, if you need anything, you just send a Whatsapp message and every time it was replied to with efficiency, friendliness and a general 'can-do' attitude. It is ideal for a couple of nights in the city and we had a lovely stay, thank you.
Hotel Durango 219 is a lovely little gem in the vibrant Roma Norte neighborhood, close to MANY bars, restaurants, and transport options. The rooms are adorable, with private balconies, comfy beds, and great amenities (Nespresso machine, wine glasses, fresh water pitchers daily, daily housekeeping, and 2 onsite restaurants). From the moment we arrived, Fernanda and the rest of the staff at the desk offered amazing guest service. Know that the hotel has a boutique nature and you will not find a traditional lobby/front desk. Despite this, excellent guest service shines through. You can easily communicate with the front desk via WhatsApp for anything you need during your stay, including coordinating offsite private tours. They even check in on you throughout the week via WhatsApp, making sure your stay is wonderful. While we didn’t get the chance to dine at the Babero restaurant downstairs, it looked wonderful. However, we thoroughly enjoyed Cafe Margot on the roof, which is a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or cocktails during the day. The location of this hotel is truly unmatched. We explored many neighborhoods during our time here, and this one stood out as the best. It's within walking distance of countless bars, cafes, and restaurants, and picking up an Uber from the hotel is extremely easy and affordable. Most places we wanted to visit were within a 15-20 minute walk, but when we needed to go further, an Uber was always available. The hotel has daily housekeeping, which was a nice touch. Our room did not have an air conditioner, but we understand some other rooms do. We visited in May and had no problem keeping the room cool at night by leaving the door open and using the rotating fan provided by the hotel. Thank you, Hotel Durango 219, for making our first visit to CDMX wonderful. We can’t wait to return!
Lovely little hotel in a great location in Roma Norte, close to lots of bars, restaurants, and transport options. Cosy rooms, comfy bed, good amenities. However, the best thing about the Durango is the customer service ; from the moment we arrived, Adriana and Fernanda on the desk did absolutely everything to help make our stay perfect, with grace and charm. When one of our party got sick and had to leave Mexico, they helped us find and arrange flights, and dealt with dreadful airline customer service rapidly and efficiently, making it possible for us to get back home. Truly wonderful service from these two ladies.
Beautifully designed interior and exterior, very comfortable beds, restaurants in the hotel are amazing!
My recent stay at Hotel Durango provided a mix of positives and drawbacks. The staff was exceptional, demonstrating great hospitality and accommodation throughout my visit. The room's decor was elegantly designed with chic furnishings and expansive bay windows that offered picturesque views. However, a notable downside was the room's tendency to become uncomfortably hot during the day, despite the provision of a small, albeit noisy, air conditioning unit. Another challenge was the noise level, particularly as our room was situated above the restaurant on the bottom floor. The vibrant nightlife resulted in significant noise, which could be disruptive for those seeking a tranquil stay. Additionally, the building exhibited some movement when large vehicles passed by, which might disturb light sleepers. Overall, Hotel Durango offers a charming ambiance and attentive staff, but guests should be prepared for potential noise disturbances and temperature fluctuations. If you don't mind the lively atmosphere and occasional inconveniences, you'll likely enjoy your stay at this establishment.
Very nice place in a very ‘happening’ part of Roma Norte. The room was very nice and relaxing, excellent bathroom and the deck opened everything up. The restaurant on the ground floor is very popular, always filled up with what I would call a ‘smart’ set of patrons. There’s a small bar/restaurant on the top floor also, very popular. I was there for two weeks, was very comfortable and always felt safe. When I return to Mexico City I’ll stay here.
Loved our stay here, everything was clean and comfortable. Fernanda was also attentive and checked in with us a few times during our one week trip. We checked in after midnight and there was someone at the desk who showed us how to take the elevator and get into our room. There were sheer and blackout curtains which were nice to have for the early mornings. There was no AC in our room so make sure to book the right room type if you’re looking for AC. We didn’t have too much of a problem because Fernanda sent a really strong tower fan to us immediately after asking about it. Ventilation could be a bit better but wasn’t an issue at all when you open the bathroom window or balcony. Housekeeping was great and bed was comfortable. Sometimes it got a bit loud outside but nothing bothered us. Would love to stay here again next time!
Great location. Very clean room. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Excellent location!
Fernanda and the rest of the staff were attentive, personable, and provided great recommendations in the area. The location of this hotel is superb! Easily walkable to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and bakeries. We did a lot of walking throughout Roma Norte and La Condesa neighborhoods, but Uber was also our friend when we wanted to explore Chapultepec park and Centro Histórico. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor which we could hear from our room at night, but it wasn't bad at all. The room was very clean and had newer finishes and fixtures. The staff cleaned our room and made our bed every day. We loved our time here and would definitely stay at this hotel again!
Fijne kamers en omgeving. Fernanda was heel behulpzaam. De airco maakt een hoop geluid.
Front desk was so nice and helpful. Great location, felt safe. Near cool neighborhood and restaurants. Would stay again.
Excelente servicio
My fiancé and I came here for a quick weekend, and we will definitely be back. Fernanda, the main hostess, was incredibly accommodating and our room was beautiful and clean. Although in a busy area with lots of restaurants and bars, we never felt like it was too noisy in the room. We felt safe walking, biking, and using the bus around town. Highly recommend!
Lækkert værelse, småt men fint. Super god bruser! Man skulle lige finde ud af systemet med at komme ind gennem elevatoren, men det fungerede. Ligger oven på en travl restaurant, men er godt lydisoleret så der var ikke et problem. Fantastisk trygt og roligt område!
Staff was amazing, will be staying here in the near future.front desk personnel was amazing and knowledgeable about the area.
My stay at Durango 219 was very pleasant, Fernanda my host went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable! Thanks so much! Will definitely come back and recommend to friends.
El lugar es muy bonito a pesar de ser habitaciones pequeñas son muy cómodas y lindas, aunado de que está en una de las mejores zonas con diversos establecimientos y lugares para visitar
Loved the property, newly remodled, very clean, very comfortable, great location to museums and restaurants. Staff very friendly and super easy checkin. Only downside was room sitting right next to a nightcub, it was super noisy. Bring good ear plugs or you'll not get any sleep. Luckily, I had some. I think you'll experience this anywhere in centro.
Muy agusto limpio
I moved into Durango 219 from a 3 day stay at the St Regis which is close by and almost $1,000 a night. I like this hotel better. My room is on the 3rd floor facing Durango but has plenty of windows into greenery and is quiet with the doors closed. The sheets are better than those at the St Regis. The bathroom is lovely and huge with nice towels . It is the first hotel I have stayed in in Mexico that has wash clothes. Unlike other hotels I have stayed, in the shower is very simple to use and provides great water pressure. They have thought through every plug and every light fixture. I always wish there was a night light in bathrooms. Bam. They thought of this too. Getting into your room requires three codes…two for the elevator and one for your room so be sure to write them down since I learned the hard way when my phone ran out of battery. A nice chef provides breakfast on the rooftop. (You have to go to the lobby to have them let you up). The TV is huge but getting English on it has been a challenge. I just use my ipad for everything. There is a small mall across the street with upscale shopping. I love this tree lined street with restaurants around every corner. Ubers have never cost more than $12. Usually are about $5 to get to most of the attractions. The restaurant downstairs is expensive and quite loud but i have had some great wine at the bar. If you need help from the hotel you just message them on What’sApp. So happy I found this hotel. My room had two queens on the 3rd floor. Room 300,
A beautiful and stylish hotel in a great location! It’s a short walk to the very delicious and popular Contramar and other restaurants and bars in Roma Norte. Thank you to Fernanda the receptionist who was great to communicate with and assisted us throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again!
This unassuming little hotel (there’s not even a sign on the front) was a nice find after we couldn’t find anything in Condesa. We stayed in the two 2 bed suites on the 3rd and 4th floors. They were roomy, comfortable and chic. Nice bed and pillows, with a sitting area and large bathrooms. The suite on the third floor also has a balcony that unfortunately attracted mosquitoes. I can’t vouch for the one bedroom suites, which are off a different elevator/entrance. Keep this in mind if you need more than one room. Our concierge, Fernanda, was wonderful and even scored us reservations at Contramar (half a block away) after my efforts failed. The restaurant downstairs, Babero, is also terrific, as were the taco vendors a couple of doors down. The wonderful little Museo Guillermo Tovar de Theresa is a half block away. Panaderia Rosetta is a pleasant two block stroll. If you want a traditional hotel with the big lobby, pool, etc., this isn’t the place for you. However, if you want a nice room, centrally located in the heart of Roma Norte, this is a great option.
We had a great time. Rooms are clean and modern. The staff is friendly The area felt very safe, there are convenience stores and restaurants in the area at walking distance. Over all a great stay!
Amazing space in a great location! Also, very walkable with a nice restaurant downstairs
The property was in a great location, but it was noisy. The property does not have air conditioning so I have to open the window, but it was too noisy. The staff were super nice.
Beautiful boutique hotel with incredibly attentive staff
Very accommodating staff
