Excelente opción. El personal muy amable las instalaciones muy bonitas modernas y limpias. además de la ubicación está cerca de todo lo interesante en el centro de la ciudad.

SPIRA HOTEL es una grandiosa opción para conocer el centro de Oaxaca ya que los mejores restaurantes están ubicados a no más de 15 minutos a pie. El lugar es increíble para hospedarse ya que cada habitación cuenta con una decoración única por diferentes artistas, el personal esta siempre atento para cualquier imprevisto con una gran actitud de servicio a los huéspedes. Definitivamente me volveré a hospedar en SPIRA HOTEL 😀

First of all, Spira Hotel is absolutely stunning. The central courtyard and artworks throughout the hotel are really lovely as is the roof terrace where breakfast is served. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - they booked taxis and tours and even rushed to get me breakfast before I had to leave. Guests should be aware that rooms are a bit dark and windows open onto the inner courtyard (not outside). However, this was actually better for keeping out street noise and the bed was incredibly comfortable.. The shower too was one of the best I've had in a hotel in terms of water pressure and quality. My only constructive feedback was that the front desk staff was a little disorganized and didn't communicate super clearly - but they got the job done and were eager to help.

Everyone was so friendly. I had left my cell phone in a taxi and the guys at the hotel tracked it down for me and got it back. I have no idea how they managed that. Very peaceful hotel despite being so close to a big busy street.

Oasis in Oaxaca. Clean and modern. The street is a little strange, but very walkable to the city center.

The hotel is very well appointed, bed was great and the room itself was very comfortable with attractive art and design. Roof top patio is serene, the service on the patio is exceptional. Staff were frindly and very suppportive, they took the time to get to know me and why I was visiting. I will definitely return.

Spira Hotel is a nicely designed property with relatively comfortable and fairly spacious beds and rooms. While the location is not the most central in Oaxaca, it is still walking distance to the most interesting parts of the city centre. The reception staff were responsive and helpful with most needs though the property is staffed by security at night time which doesn't communicate in English. In fact, this would be a five star review if not for one critical incident. A bluetooth speaker placed in the bedroom started beeping loudly at 4am during my second night here robbing me of a night's sleep. It's a shame the hotel did not think this through when placing the item in rooms.

SPIRA is a very nice, small, boutique hotel on the edge of a bustling old town center. Easy walk to all the goodness that Oaxaca city provides.

Nice and cozy little hotel. The bed was great and the hotel was good. Looks a bit more high end on the pictures than in real life + the price is also a bit high compared to what you get.

Each Room is different with beautiful art pieces on the walls. Very Clean and Tastefully Decorated with attention to details. The staff was very attentive to all our needs. Walking distance to the Mercado and restaurants. Would deifinitely recommend this hotel.

Para ser un hotel con menos de 2 años de inaugurado, ya se observa descuido en muros externos e internos, desgaste no atendido en pisos y maderas. Aunque el personal es atento, le falta el toque de distinción en el trato y quizá el uso de uniformes. P.D. El guardia utilizando uno de los sillones de la entrada se ve muy mal, e incluso a veces dormitando.

Great stay and location!

Beautiful hotel located in the City Downtonw area with a walkable distance to mayor atractions. This hotel has an art theme and has some beautiful pieces from some of Oaxaca´s most important artists. It is set in a historic building which was renewed with a very nice architectural style. The room we had had a private patio on the side, which was a great feature as my Wife likes to meditate or read early in the morning before going to breakfast. The room is not big enough and has limited space to place clothing. It could also have a couch to place things.

El hotel tiene una gran ubicación, puedes caminar a cualquier lugar del centro en menos de 15 minutos. Los cuartos están muy acogedores y todo el personal es muy amable. Una gran opción para conocer Oaxaca...

Belen at the front desk was lovely. She helped with arranging taxi service and points of interest in the area. And she made the effort to give me change to buy delicious quesadillas from the lady outside their door!

Wonderful property with very comfortable rooms. We had a security at the front hotel entrance which helped load our taxi and kept us without any worries. The rooms were beautiful and clean.

SPIRA was in a perfect location for Dia de los Muertos. The staff was friendly and the property was beautiful.

El arte me gustó y el personal es muy amable.

La habitación está limpia, buena cama con buena ropa, pero sin el espacio necesario para poner tus pertenencias, ropa y zapatos, tiene un Micro clóset y 2 cajones. No hay en donde guardar o poner maletas, falta un banco porta maletas y perchero. No tienen servicio de Room Service, no hay cafeteria o restaurante. Tiene un pequeño patio central que cuando alguien se sienta a platicar en esa área, todo se escucha en las habitaciones y es imposible descansar. Habitación bastante ruidosa, y por lo que se ofrece me pareció muy caro, con lo que cuesta se puede hospedar en un mejor hotel y en mejor y más céntrica área. No regresaría, ni recomendaría esta opción.

Okay, this is an honest review, we just checked out today! I was a little skeptical because of reviews, but let me say this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in anywhere that I’ve traveled. Pros: - extremely close to the center of the city where everything is happening, our longest walk was maybe 9 minutes to the mercado - the staff is very friendly and ready to help with anything and everything. They are truly accommodating - the rooms are beautiful, just as you see in the photos - very clean which is a ++ for me! And every time we came back to our room the room was very thoroughly cleaned, not just a little “makeup”. The bed spread was the only thing that seemed a little gross as there were some stains on it. - great water pressure and shower - great tv, if you are coming back to rest with smart options - very serene, we loved it overall A few cons, which I will say will not keep me from coming back. If I visit Oaxaca again (this was our first time) I will stay here if I am able to, so take these with a grain of salt. - we didn’t realize there was breakfast for a while because we arrived late one night, but we wanted to try it. It’s only available 8-12 so we finally went our last day. The coffee was delicious, and so was the loaf of bread. We ordered chilaquiles and they were cold - both of plates. Not a lot of options either. - the mini fridge had many options but every time we opened it, it was warm. Not a huge deal as we didn’t grab a lot, but the fe

Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating all throughout our stay. I can't thank them enough for all their recommendations. The hotel has the perfect location everything you need to see in Oaxaca Centro is literally walking distance. The only 2 things I'd comment on that weren't great was the parking situation which ironic enough our car broke down during our stay and the car was at the shop during our stay but you do need to let them know in advance you are coming for them to save you a spot and also it is street parking. All in all, amazing little hotel and great staff!

Muy bonita experiencia, el hotel tiene muy padre decoración del cuarto que escogimos y el personal es muy atento.

Era un viaje se aniversario y nos recibieron con unas botellitas de vino tinto y flores, eso sin contar que nos entregaron la habitación antes de la hora establecida. La ubicaciones perfecta, a 10 m8n caminando del centro.

La Spira is a small, chic and art filled boutique hotel in the Centro of Oaxaca. The hotel has a super cool, classy, artful interior design. Each room has original art and modern design. The location is great; it's within a few blocks of the Zocolo, mercados, and cathedrals. The neighborhood felt very safe, but there is somone on staff 24/7. The room we had is well designed but small. It had one window to the courtyard so if you want privacy, the shade must be down so the room takes on a bit of a cave feeling. Because the room was small, it would have been great if the platform bed were high even to slide a suitcase under, like they make on cruise ships. The other issue with the bed was the sharp wood corners which are shin height, guaranteeing a smashed and bruise leg when trying to navigate around the room. The other design vs function issue is the round shelf under the sink. While I understand it is forward to hide the plumbing, it means there is no space for your feet when you stand in front of the vanity, so the tendency is to smash your toes into the metal shelf repeatedly. The other issue is a safety one. We had a very early start one day and had to wake up the security person. He had to unlock the front gate/door with a key. These means in the case of a fire, everyone would be trapped in the building. I would suggest a knob deadbolt or another type of lock that could be operated by anyone in the case of an emergency.

Unique artist inspired hotel. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. Parking was a breeze. Great location.

Wonderfully designed hotel. It feels an oasis in a different part of town. The thought that goes into each room is really wonderful, and hands down we had one of the best showers we’ve ever had. We had a car, and they were very kind to always facilitate parking outside. Our only small gripes were that the room does open right onto the courtyard, so we always had the blind down for privacy. The also wasn’t that much space for storage. Finally, the breakfast didn’t feel up to the standard that the rest of the hotel has set.

Beautiful small hotel in historic district, conveniently located less than 10 minutes away (walking distance) from the towns main square. Rooms are very nicely set, as well as the bathrooms. Staff is friendly and there’s a terrace where you can have breakfast. Definitely would return.

Great stay! They were so accommodating

I truly picked a great hotel - Spira Hotel - for my stay. Each room pictured on this site is exactly as you will find it and more. The upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel reflects the pride the owners have in their property. I walked everywhere in Oaxaca City. And there are plenty of shopping, site seeing, and restaurants within minutes of the front door. I would highly recommend this hotel to people who aren't shy about walking around and who appreciate a more personalized hotel. At the end of the day, being back in my room was just amazing. (I was in the Monochromatica room.) I really can't say enough about the uniqueness and the upkeep of this hotel. Oh..and the bed...wonderful!

Conveniently located near thd metcado de noviembre and most place of interest. They provide potable water and nepresso capsules. However, the bed is shorter than normal.

We loved this hotel. I think it's brand new -- there were almost no reviews when we booked it. The room (9) was spacious, with a huge leather sofa and a nook off to the side for clothes and luggage storage. There was an outdoor patio between the outer door and the room and that patio has a lounge chair and bathtub. They got the shade design just right so we actually used both in the heat of the afternoon. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff noticed when we put out the little cleaning card and tidied up invisibly, even in the late afternoon. The location is about two blocks west of the city center area. There are slightly more convenient hotels in town, but I had no complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property and rooms were beautiful, the bed was super comfy and the rain shower was incredible. The staff were super friendly and accommodating - helping us with cabs, tours and dining recommendations. We would stay again for sure!
