Hôtel Les Lumières - Relais & Châteaux

The hotel was fabulous, our room was lovely, the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. We only had one evening meal in the restaurant but it was really nice. We did not have breakfast. This is quite an expensive hotel but worth every penny.

The hotel has beautiful, high-quality rooms with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is also presented very nicely, and the location is excellent. Arriving by car is surprisingly easy: access to the hotel is straightforward, the valet parking works very well, and when leaving, you can get back onto the motorway relatively quickly without having to deal too much with Paris city traffic.

The main area for improvement is the F&B service. At breakfast, the team seems to become overwhelmed relatively quickly when it gets busy. A simple coffee machine and self-service tea station could already help a lot, allowing the staff to focus on welcoming and seating guests rather than creating unnecessary bottlenecks. Already seen in other high class hotels and worked very well. At the bar and during dinner, the head waiter (again thank you very much!) had everything very well under control. However, he seemed somewhat on his own and had to give the rest of the team quite a lot of direction to keep things running smoothly (what caused some smaller problems at other tables). These are only suggestions for improvement. We very much enjoyed our stay regardless and would absolutely recommend the hotel.

Big cheers to staff, all of them were super nice, helpful and responsive: during the welcome, waiters and gentlemen who took care of our luggage and car. Beds and pillows very comfy, very nice design of the hotel and rooms. Location spectacular: vis a vis Palace, close to fine restos and 10 min from the old town and market Amazing surrounding during breakfast which had enough choice of very fresh fruits, cheese and meats. Great choice of tea and freshly pressed juices. If you are seated by the window, you can have great view of a Palace.

At the night of our stay there was a wedding so part of the hotel was closed for hotel guest which is a pity because we wanted to try the menu in the restaurant. However, the other things mentioned above made up for it.

. Nous avons vraiment apprécié être à l'écoute et obtenue des réponses et solutions douces et respectueuses (peu importe la réponse). . La bienveillance des équipes. . La disposition et accessibilité des occupations (petits salons, jeux, livres). . L'hygiène, propreté était vraiment très stricte et agréable.

L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Versailles. Les réceptionnistes sont très professionnels. Chambre agréable et hôtel confortable. Le service du bar de l'hôtel efficace.

Un gros bémol pour le petit déjeuner, très limité en terme de choix. Plus de croissant, de pains aux chocolats ( apparemment 40 minutes de cuissons), fruits restreint ( a part des pommes ) à 10h10 alors qu'il ferme a 10h30. Une longue attente pour une omelette en jaunes d'œufs lyophilisé ?? Serveurs nonchalant et peu arrangeant. Dommage quand vous êtes a Versailles, un peu plus de générosité aurait été apprécié dans cet hôtel 5 étoiles.

Perfect location if you are in town to see Versailles, enabling you to tour the palace, take a break and spend the afternoon touring the gardens.

The staff were very forthcoming and kind, the hotel looked beautiful with a lot of character. They took care to bring out luggage up to the room and also back inside the car which was parked inside a private parking.

To get to our suite we had to go through a narrow staircase, but that was a minor inconvenience. The room itself was wonderful.

We loved the reception staff, the location, the quality of the suite (with reservations), having both a bathroom and a quality shower plus two toilets...in Paris, even though Versailles not St Germain, that is true luxury. We loved the communication on line and on site and found only enthusiastic, gentle and well informed staff at reception. The lebanese lady was also wonderful as concierge and directed me to a fantastic nail tech that was not found via google or chatgpt :)) The suite we were upgraded to was gorgeous but absolutely no view of anything. I thought I had booked a room with a view but I had not, so staff were very lovely to upgrade us. We booked at the restaurant on site but it was an extremely hot period and we did not feel like eating inside (the sofas in the courtyard were hardly ever occupied so the management may consider putting some outside tables for the restaurant there). We will definitely return and recommend but only if the stuff we did not like is taken into consideration.

There is no communication between housekeeping and other front-facing staff. A request for a latex pillow meant the night receptionist spent ages trying to find one, not managing, and me waking up with a cricked neck, when I had been assured it would be available. There are no fridges in the rooms, which is a bit cray cray - Paris gets extremely hot when the weather turns. Staff at reception keep everything for you but sometimes I just feel like a glass of my own champagne without having to ask anybody for it. Mug-gate: the housekeeper decided to take my mug AND my Yorkshire Tea teabags (if you know, you know), yet leave a dirty teapot in the room. The only thing I ask for in my hotel is a decent cuppa in the morning: this is impossible in France (our home), so this entire thing made my extremely grumpy and spoiled an otherwise lovely stay. She also took the slice of gateau the staff had left (delicious but also weird - why one piece when there were going to be two of us celebrating our anniversary?) because we did not eat it immediately. The mug was found just before we left after a massive hunt. 'Extra' coffee pods reception staff had given us were also taken away. It felt like being constantly scolded for some perceived wrongdoing. Housekeeping seem untrained and inexperienced. The blackout curtains are heavy but do not meet. For light sleepers: prepare to wake at 6am. For this incident and many other small ones that contribute, our night of parking and something else very small was comped; it would have been nicer if we were offered breakfast or a free night on another occasion.

This is an outstanding hotel in a perfect location near the palace of Versailles. The staff are wonderful and super helpful. The dinner we had was exceptional, andthry have a lovely garden where you can sit outside. Very kind to dogs too.

Eco forward branding which we are okay with, though maybe not for others - which meant no mini ref etc. Comfortable and beautiful room. Very good location if you plan on visiting the palace. Books added a homey touch and was nice to learn whom the room was named after.

We walked in to drop off our shopping and one of the staff questioned me on our way out, which felt like they didn't know I was a guest at one of their suites. Housekeeping took away our hotel slippers and did not replenish until the following day. Towel heating rack doesn't heat much?

The people, the location, & the absolute attention to every detail. I felt safe, cared for & honoured to be there. Excellent dining, kitchen superb. Best coffee & fresh baked goods every day. Across from the gardens & palace, beautiful white & brown horses prancing by our breakfasting window one morning! Kings stables, Queens stables, right across the street! Amazing, such an easy walk for this Young at Heart Elder…

Las instalaciones son espectaculares. El personal fantástico y la ubicación perfecta, ya que está al lado de Versalles. Nuestra habitacion fue esoectacular. Nos habian hecho un upgrade sin haberlo pedido. Nos dio lástima no poder quedarnos más tiempo.

Це не 5* готель. В готелі не працює кондиціонер. Було холодно, мені замінили кімнату на меньшу і без ТВ, тільки тому, що там було тепліше. Я спала в шапці і теплих брюках. Обігрівач, який видали грів погано. На першому поверсі вдень дуже чутно автівки з вулиці, вікна старі (так це історична цінність). Чайника не має, 7 видів чаїв і не має чайника в 5* готелі, нонсенс, потрібно було по 3 рази чвіркати воду з кавоварки. Міні бару не має! В туалеті було дуже холодно, так як він в інший стороні від кімнати, яка підігрівалася обігрівачем. Я приїхала на 1,5 години раніше, мене ніхто не зустрів, зайшла до саду, всі були дуже зайняти іншими клієнтами, коли я підйшла до ресепшн, працівник зверхньо мені ківнув мовляв зачейте, ніхто не запропонував присісти, я постояла і пішла сіла сама...Далі було цікавіше, мені сказали, що я зарано і я знала це, тому я сподівалась на опис 2-х ресторанів на букінгу. Але мені не запропонували почекати в ресторані, щось замовити, я просто пішла гуляти по місту....авжеж я так і не сходила в ресторан...Коли мені оформлювали check-in, працівник запропонував оставити 200 евро залогу, але я ретельно читаю умови перед з'їздом і цього не було вказано в "policies", що я і сказала, тому працівник мені сказав мовляв в такому разі, якщо будете користуватись спа і інш. , то ви повинні оставити депозит. Тобто виходить, мені ставили ультіматув, мовляв, або 200 евро, або не йдешь в спа....це було жахливо...Якби у вас було сказано про депозит, я б не бронювала цей готель. За 274 евро, що я заплатила за ніч і спала в шапці зі споплюженим настроєм - це було занадто!
