Sweeney Aviemore One

Fine location, overall the stay was nice.

The photos give a far more luxurious impression than reality. The floors bowed with every step, making the furniture rattle, and a heavy duvet was tucked under the sheet, I guess, to mask a tired, worn-out mattress. You could clearly hear anytime the other guests behind the wall took a shower. No hair dryer.

Walls seemed to be a little thin so we could sometimes hear neighbours. The TV was also a bit small and its location was not the best, but that’s just me being picky now

It was modern, clean and had everything we needed.

It would have been good to have a little more coffee and milk but it was fine as we could buy this locally. The fridge tray was broken so got stuck when opening and couldn’t store anything in the door so ended up taking it out. The bed and pillows were not the comfiest at all. And, the shower tray overfilled after being in the shower for a few minutes. We never saw any staff but that was fine.

My second time staying with Sweeney One, on this occasion also included a full breakfast over in Sweeney Two. My ground floor accommodation was again fitted out to a high standard and spotlessly clean. The little microwave / kitchenette area is ideal for a quick and easy meal. The ensuite toilet / shower room is a good size, not to cramped. The weather was kind enough for me to have breakfast outside on one occasion. The cooked breakfast I had over in Sweeney Two was excellent value for money and very well cooked. Excellent parking available on site and an easy walk into town, if you would rather stretch your legs. Overall another excellent stay in this accommodation. Thanks

Nothing to dislike, although I wouldn't have picked the colour of the ensuite bathroom finish (owners personal choice).

Kein Kontakt mit Gastgeber, Zimmer (Luxus-Suite?) dunkel und klein (schwarzes Bad mit winzigem Waschbecken), um frische Handtücher zu bekommen, muss man irgendeine Telefonnummer anrufen.

Location was good with parging available.

Two free caramel wafer snacks, cleaning lady is very kind.

Run down property, there was no shampoo!! Just body wash. Very very thin walls hear everything, non-responsive non-helpful remote team, quite overpriced for what you get. Not that central but minor point compares to earlier.

Right in the heart of Aviemore

Close to walk into aviemore for drinks and food. Nice to have a little terrace and smart tv. Bed very comfortable and good shower Helpful to have a fridge and microwave but there isn’t a hob - just fyi.

We’d made clear we needed a twin room but the bed was made up as a double on arrival with instructions for a pull out bed - not great for a birthday celebration trip with my sister. A previous occupants clothes were still in the wardrobe and the bedside lamp didn’t work. All of these issues were rectified the following day after we’d fedbqck through messaging which was appreciated. Shame for it to be the case in the first place though. Small bugbear but no shelving or hooks in the bathroom mean no where for toiletries etc.

The location is very handy for the Cairngorms Nationalpark. There is parking available and all the amenities you’ll need.

Our room was a little tight to fit two people with luggage. We had to step on top of each other to get anywhere. But everything else was fine

There was no ability to dry my swimming stuff and I would have liked a toaster in the room. The wardrobe space was poor as the clothing shelf was so high up. I felt using up this space for an ironing board which I didn’t need at all was not sensible

Spotless, cozy, modern and handy location.

Quite tight but was great for us as we only had 1 night. Might have been more difficult for a longer period of time.

The room was very clean and fesh. It was also very central. We were allowed to leave our luggage with staff at the sister restaurant (which was great) and that was really helpful. A fan was provided in the room and there were things to make tea and coffee.

Room was very small. There was no handsoap/shampoo etc. Only body wash. A little soap to wash hands at least would be good to have. It was a very warm day and while a fan was provided, we had to sleep with the windows closed as there was no protection of any sorts outside and it would have been really easy for someone to walk in through the patio window doors. This made it a bit uncomfortable.

The property was ok for our needs but didn’t think the photos on booking.com showed anything like what we received as the room was very small and not at all what we expected. I was happy enough for the short visit but wouldn’t have been for any longer.

We upgraded to a larger room but it was still very small. Beds are only small doubles not standard doubles which is a shame it isn’t on the notes as we would have booked an even bigger room. Also, breakfast was available at the sister property but you wasn’t allowed to book even if staying in the hotel.

Property was clean, room was clearly new/recently renovated because of its design, easy to access, and close to lots of restaurants and stores

If I was staying with my partner it would be too cramped. For one person it worked, but it would be challenging to get two people and all their belongings in here and still be able to move around.

The room was amazing quality and fitted for a couples trip away. Really clean and check in was a extremely easy

The location was good

The staff in the restaurant were rude, there was no hand soap, there were stains on the bed & on the cups/cutlery, the walls were paper thin you could hear other guests simply talking.

Very cosy comfortable apartment. They had thought of many things like honey and ice cubes and more. Gone that extra Mille. Easy reach of shops and restaurants.

Mooi, ruime slaap- en badkamer. Allemaal netjes. Kamer lag aan de straatkant maar geen hinder van ondervonden. Goed geisoleerd glas. Kitchenette had al het nodige servies en bestek.

Nogal kleine lavabo in de zeer ruime badkamer. Geen verlichting aan de spiegel. Geen verlichting aan de kitchenette.

It was nice to have a little kitchenette. The bike storage was useful since we rented bikes for the stay.

Be warned that if you book through this site they are totally unresponsive to messages thru here. Any requests or questions you send will be ignored. The business is very hands off. The shower has no shelving which made it difficult to use my products.

The room was quite small. The bed was very small for two people. The curtains in our room smelled like food. The house is very noisy and you could hear people talk and every footstep of the room above us.

The kitchen facilities seem much more than they are in the pictures/advert. There is literally a sink, and a fridge and some cutlery, plates and cups. Didn’t feel like much of an upgrade/benefit from a regular hotel room due to this. Unfortunately there was a group of people who were there to party, headboard right next to front door in the room we stayed in and it was a bit stressful to be woken at 1am with so much noise and banging. Maybe some sound proofing would improve the apartment.

Stairs very steep stair to room had to carry our old dog up to room would have thought i would have had room on ground floor with a dog considering booked it 4 weeks ago. Also very off putting everything being black walls toilet sink etc

Room was clean and bed very big and comfy. Liked not having a key for the door. It is a key pad. Dogs are welcome in some rooms to. Some kitchen is handy. No cooker but has a microwave, sink and fridge. There is no lift if you have an upper floor room. Some rooms are bigger or have balconies depending on how much you want to spend.

Breakfast is a separate restaurant at Sweeny 2. We stayed at sweeny 1. Food is great and was fully booked so book in advance if you want to eat there. Didn't mind a separate restaurant but would be good to know of this when booking. It is on the instructions but they are sent out just before the stay. We booked breakfast but when we got there the staff member was very confused and said they didn't take booking for breakfast and was acting like we shouldn't be there. However breakfast was lovely and she was great while serving us.

The entrance with code worked well for both doors. Close to all the shops of Aviemore, and all the amenities. Nice large towels and a clean room. Lovely having tea and coffee making facilities. Plus fridge (not that we needed it)

The smell in the hallway and room smelt too strongly of cleaning products! The flush system in the loo didn’t refill quick enough. No side lights beside or over the beds. No chairs to put clothes on! No side tables beside the bed.

Very small room- not a family suite! Very thin walls, could hear people in next room cough, plug in appliances etc! Not the family suite I expected. Wouldn't book again.

Great location close to all the local amenities

Stayed in room 1, unfortunately our room was right next to the double door main entrance and staircase which was very noisy with guest coming and going. Room was clean and comfortable, however, we had no heating during our stay. With temperatures averaging -4 on a snowy weekend the room wasn't comfortable. No thermostat in the room, no option to turn on or off. Cold room with thin walls and noisy guests. Unfortunately we wouldn't stay here again

It was warm, comfortable, unique and stylish. Great bed, great shower - really a fantastic stay! The little kitchen was a great touch, storage was ample, curtains blacked everything out, parking was easy, towels & linens were perfect. I couldn't fault it.

Very little. I suspect some of the domestic fittings will not survive much wear and tear, and commercial options would have been better lasting. Right now though, everything is excellent

Es ist eine sehr schöne Küchenzeile in der Unterkunft, aber leider keine Herdplatte. Das soll jetzt aber auch kein Problem sondern mehr eine Information sein.

Accommodation very comfortable and clean with just about all you need for a short break.

A couple of whisky tumblers would be useful and several more hangers in the wardrobe.

Location was fab, apartment was amazing, very modern, spacious and well equipped, only thing missing was a hob for cooking. also a Comfortable bed.

Shower room was lovely and modern but very dark, would benefit from extra lighting, also no storage for toiletries , only a very tiny shelf above a very small sink, Balcony wasn't swept and table and chairs weren't cleaned for our arrival, which I thought would be part of the overall clean between bookings, had to do this myself.

The attention to detail was impressive! The pillows were some of the best I've ever slept on. I understand that is personal preference, like most of this. The warm space was such a nice retreat from the elements. It was very well designed and thought out, that was obvious and very much felt. Like walking into a cozy home!

Booked a breakfast but was told by restaurant staff that breakfast was not included. Probably best to book directly w agency and NOT booking.com. They were no help

Room code invalid. Took 60 min to get a working code only w help of restaurant staff unaffiliated with the hotel. Pure ice on steps and walk way. Loud neighbors up and about til after 3am. Walls paper thin. No sleep. Also shower did not drain. Kinda gross
