Very good

Une très jolie chambre, bien aménagée, spacieuse, et confortable. Il y avait beaucoup d’espaces pour poser nos affaires, à la fois dans la chambre et dans la salle de bain. La chambre avait aussi un petit espace salon avec deux fauteuils où se poser autour d’un thé ou d’une infusion. Très agréable à la fin de la journée. Il y avait aussi un espace salon partagé avec un frigo. On a particulièrement apprécié la “drying room” pour faire sécher nos chaussures et vêtements de pluie après une longue journée de marche sous l’averse. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et servi dans une jolie salle. Mark et Margaret étaient très sympathiques et accommodants.

Whats not to like

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich. Mark hat schon bei der Begrüßung direkt mit optimaler Beratung für die Tage begonnen und zwar auch genau nur in dem Maß, wie wir es brauchten und nicht darüber hinaus. Das restliche Personal war bei Frühstück besonders aufmerksam. Der Fernseher auf dem Zimmer hat die Möglichkeit AppleTV und Amazon Prime mit seinem eigenen privaten Account zu nutzen, was für den Abend super war. Das Wifi hat optimal funktioniert. Das BnB ist so toll gelegen, dass man auch einige Wanderungen direkt von Hotel machen kann. Es gibt einen Trockenraum der sehr warm ist und geräumig für die gesamte nass gewordene Kleidung.

Unser Raum war etwas klein. Das ist aber gar nicht schlimm, denn es gibt noch einen Aufenthaltsraum und eigentlich will man sich auch im Cairngorms National Park aufhalten.

Kein Frühstücks-Buffet - es wurde serviert.

Es war alles sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Gastgeber Mark, sowie alle anderen Angestellten, waren total herzlich und freundlich. Man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Frühstück war ganz hervorragend und liebevoll angerichtet!! Ein echtes Highlight für uns.

Die Straße vor dem Haus, also die Main Road von Aviemore, ist unglaublich stark befahren. Teilweise eine einziger Strom an Autos. Das trübt die schöne Lage ein wenig, aber dafür kann Mark natürlich nichts. Ist dort einfach so. Trotzdem sollte man das mal gehört haben, wenn man in Aviemore Urlaub macht. Wenn man es richtig ruhig möchte, besser etwas außerhalb suchen…im Zimmer hat der Verkehrslärm jedoch nicht gestört.

We had a wonderful stay at Cairngorm Guest House, great breakfast, very comfortable and clean bedrooms, right in the centre of Avimore. Great information provided ahead of schedule on places we could eat and everything well explained in arrival by the very pleasant hotel manager. Just a very very nice stay! Would stay again if we are in the area.

Mark was exceptionally knowledgeable and welcoming. Breakfast cooked to order was delightful and they were very accommodating of vegan and vegetarian limitations. The location is very walkable to nice restaurants and the rest of town.

We enjoyed our stay! Mark was very welcoming and supportive. Very clean and neat room. Their breakfast was the best we had in the Highlands!

Room was a bit hot while sleeping, with window slighly open, but in the morning we noticed there was a fan we could have used. Pillows could be improved. Overall, great place, I would return.

Lovely property within walking distance of town. Good selection of breakfast and friendly staff. We found a cinema and popped out to see film near by too.

- La chambre n'est pas parfaitement insonorisée. - Nous n'avons toujours pas compris le fonctionnement de la douche... nous avons pourtant rencontré ce système ailleurs mais celui de la chambre était très capricieux et le flux saccadé !

This was the final stop on our Highland road trip, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect ending to our holiday. Everything about Cairngorm Guest House feels loving and thoughtful, from the warm welcome and cozy interior to the guest fridge and wine glasses in the common living room. Even the little details, like the dark face towels provided specifically for removing makeup, made such a lovely impression. Breakfast was excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring. If we ever return to Aviemore, we’ll be staying at Cairngorm Guest House again — 100%!

The only small suggestion we’d have would be to make it possible to open the window fully.

Sympathisches kleines familiengeführtes Hotel. Sehr gutes Frühstück, à la carte und frisch zubereitet. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und Mark ein herzlicher Gastgeber. Klare Weiterempfehlung, wenn man Urlaub in der Region machen möchte. Aviemore ist ein Ort mit sehr guter Infrarstruktur.

A very clean and nice looking guest house. The breakfast was good. There is parking in front of the house and there are enough places for every guest, so you don’t have to worry about it.

It is still a house so if you end up on a ground floor room you will hear all the footsteps made from above. In the morning it is not a problem since everyone wakes up at the same hour for breakfast, but in the evening if you have late arrivals you will hear them.

Die Lage ist gut, die Ausstattung in Ordnung aber nichts Besonderes.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht, ds Guest House ist solid, gut für eine Nacht, mehr aber nicht. Die Liebe zum Detail hat gefehlt. Frühstück ok , eher kleine Portionen und ohne Charm. Für diesen Preis hätten wir etwas mehr Gastfreundschaft erwartet.

Familiär geführtes B&B in recht guter Lage. Der Eigentümer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sauber und gepflegt. Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb des Ortskerns, aber nur wenige Minuten. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Garten, in dem man chillen kann. Top Empfehlung!

Nous avons était charmé dès notre arrivé par cet établissement et par le chaleureux accueil. Bien que donnant sur le salon, nous étions au calme dans notre chambre situé au rez de chaussé et rénovée avec goût. Nous avons également apprécié le breakfast "so Scottish", remarquablement préparé et servi avec bienveillance

De gastvrijheid, de kamers en het heerlijke ontbijt waren geweldig! Mark heeft er voor gezorgd dat ik de beste scramble eggs ooit gegeten heb! Het personeel was ontzettend gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Mark ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber und sorgte dafür, dass wir uns sofort willkommen fühlten. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und wurde von Mark immer frisch zubereitet. Wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts sehr wohl gefühlt. Dieses Guesthouse können wir empfehlen.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in prädestinierter Lage, Freundliches Personal mit landestypischen, gut zubereitetem Frühstück. Zimmer mit komfortablen Betten in gepflegtem Haus. Mark gibt sehr gute Wanderempfehlungen, die auf die jahreszeitlichen örtlichen Bedingungen zugeschnitten sind. Sehr empfehlenswertes B&B

Mark is a very warm scottish gentleman and host. We enjoyed staying in his hotel, which is very clean, well kept and serves fresh breakfast and includes a room with a big shower.

Outstanding breakfast; we could chose between different options from a menu, it was fresh prepared and we could get unlimited coffee/tea and juice. Great location.

Prima locatie met veel te doen om je heen. En toch rustig gelegen. Kamer, hoewel wat krap, van alle gemakken voorzien. Goed en vers ontbijt. Alles op bestelling.

From the initial “hello” Mark was accommodating and helpful. We had arrived a bit early and he was welcoming and helped us with a few logistics. We are cyclists so we had our bikes with us and he had a safe and secure storage area for us AND a dedicated area for drying riding gear! (If you are an outdoor enthusiast in this climate - you’ll get that one!)

We couldn’t stay longer. It was awesome but we had to keep travelling.

Adorable guest house in the heart of Aviemore! Mark made us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. The rooms have everything you need while being just a short walk from the main strip in Aviemore (definitely check out the Winking Owl while you're there!). Available parking was a huge plus, and Mark and team do a stellar job with breakfast in the morning!

Great, central location in Aviemore with very welcoming staff. Compact room but it contained all the essentials. Plenty of private parking and a locked shed to store bikes was a big bonus. Delicious breakfast.

Mattress was a little hard for my liking but that’s down to personal preference.
