Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Lagoi Bay

We really enjoyed our stay at Four Points by Sheraton Bintan. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable, the resort was peaceful, and everything felt well taken care of. It was exactly the relaxing getaway we needed. We’d definitely love to come back!

The hotel has direct access to a very nice beach and the swimming pools are spacious. Generally, the hotel has a nice airy design which gives a comfortable feeling. Staff is friendly.

Food was nothing special and my room was constantly damp with humidity, with signs of mold on the walls. The balcony was not very clean. The hotel also shows wear and tear even though it's a new property.

Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast options were good. The pool was clean. Biggest plus was the Kids Club and the beach. The staff at the Kids Club were so kind and proactively offered to engage the kids and did craft activities with them and made them feel comfortable. The beach was also pretty clean and mostly empty and kids enjoyed the time spent there.

Lunch and dinner options can be greatly improved. As many reviews called out, lunch was average. Lagoi Bay has several restaurants that has a good menu and I felt were value for money and is walkable from the resort. Resort's restaurants don't even have kids cutleries and most of the staff at both restaurants and spa don't understand english properly too. Not sure if it was just us who felt that. Spa was average as well. Heard that spa outside(SpaLab) was decent. The cabana rooms has a balcony that were not clean and the couch gets completely wet as we went during rainy season.

Words cannot fully express my deepest gratitude to the staff of Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, especially Mr Dwi Santoso and Mr. Adera from the Security team, and Mr. Budi from the Concierge. . During our stay, my mum unfortunately suffered a fall after showering at night. Without delay, the staff carried her from our room to the car, drove us to the nearest clinic, and stayed with us throughout the entire ordeal. When the clinic referred her to the hospital for an X-ray, Mr. Santoso and Mr. Adera stayed by our side from around 9pm until 3am, even though they had already gone beyond their working hours. They helped us with interpretation, guided us through the medical process, and constantly made sure that both my mum and I were comfortable and well taken care of. Their patience, kindness and genuine concern gave me so much reassurance during what was an extremely stressful night. I would also like to give special recognition to Mr Budi, who went above and beyond to assist with our ferry ticket arrangements with the ferry terminal. He also ensured that the ambulance could access our room as quickly and comfortably as possible. What touched me most was that they personally sent our luggage to the ferry terminal when mum and me departed in an ambulance. Their care did not feel like simply doing a job but it felt genuinely personal. The hotel also went above and beyond by extending our check-out without any additional charge, allowing us to remain in our room comfortably until my mum could be picked up by the ambulance to the ferry terminal. This was such a thoughtful gesture at a time when we were anxious and uncertain about what would happen next. I have stayed at many hotels, but I have never encountered such a strong sense of professionalism, compassion and ownership of service. Every one of them took pride in what they were doing, and they did it with warmth and a smile. Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, you have a truly exceptional team!

Great service and the food really set this hotel apart from other similar hotels in the area. Your people and your food are what I would come back for! The spa and staff there were really great too. Would be nice to have other amenities such as a additional set up on the beach or a tennis or padel courts in the surrounding town area nearby for hotels to share (covered cos sun is too intense). This would really be attractive for Singapore visitors.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Das Personal war sehr sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und auch die Lage des Hotels war ideal. Das Essen war auch gut. 2 verschiedene Restaurants. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns die angenehme Atmosphäre und der hervorragende Service. Kann das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Food selection during breakfast was amazing and delicious. Thank you chef and team. The receptionist, concierge and all the staff are very friendly. Bed is comfortable. The cafe near the swimming pool is awesome specially their live band.

Incident happen during my stay, 2 people (which I believe they are siblings) enter my room, they walk opposite my way and enter my room before I enter the room. Duty manager and team did their investigation and mentioned they accidentally enter the wrong room because the room was open. Told them that I found that HK team did the make up room and they didnt fully closed the door properly. That is why 2 guest can enter my room. For me, safety is always priority and frankly speaking I dont feel safe to stay in the hotel if other guests can enter my room. So this kind of incident is not acceptable specially when u stay in well known hotel. The beach is a bit dirty, lots of seaweed (free-floating marine algae). I am not sure if anyone from the Bintan resort authority would do the cleaning the beach regularly or early morning.

Unfortunately nearby Lagoi Plaza was a bit dead. Seemed to perk up at the weekend but in week restaurants were very quiet.

Vse. Osebje nasmejano, prijazni, ustrežljivi, ni, da ni. Ponudba hrane raznovrstna. Za vsakega se kaj najde. Porcije velike, hrana nekoliko dražja, a še zmeraj v mejah in resnično okusna. Postelje izredno udobne, čist hotel, soba prostorna in moderna. Prevoz do porta in nazaj je brezplačen in zanesljiv. Ni veliko gostov, mir in počitek.

The ferry transfer was smooth and well organised, the staff happily moved us when our first room smelled of mould, and they also granted us a late check-out to reduce our wait for the ferry. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly and professional—it was the management and standards that let the hotel down.

I've stayed at many Sheraton hotels over the years, so it was particularly disappointing that this was by far my worst experience. The hotel feels tired and in need of refurbishment, particularly the outdoor areas. Around the pool, the paving is cracked, there were loose wooden boards and small stones scattered around, while the pool itself had missing tiles and sections of rubber edging coming away. It also didn't appear to be cleaned frequently enough. There were nowhere near enough sunbeds for the number of guests, leading to the familiar "towel reservation" race before breakfast each morning. While the hotel can't prevent this entirely, there is plenty of space to add more sunbeds. Some also lacked umbrellas, there were no staff regularly attending the pool area to assist, and the Wi-Fi signal around the pool was poor. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The staff were friendly and clearly doing their best, but they were overwhelmed by the number of guests. We waited almost 30 minutes for our eggs and noodles, our tea never arrived, and although the buffet offered plenty of choice, the overall quality fell well below what I'd expect from a Sheraton. I'd much rather see a smaller selection of better-quality food than a huge buffet that disappoints. We also weren't told at check-in that Friday and Saturday evenings are barbecue nights, with the à la carte menu unavailable. Knowing this in advance would have allowed us to make alternative dinner plans. The restaurant was also poor value for money. My fish and chips looked more like a child's portion, and the drinks were similarly overpriced. Overall, it felt as though the hotel was prioritising occupancy over maintaining its facilities and service standards. A busy hotel is understandable, but it should be matched with appropriate staffing and maintenance.

Todo el personal súper amable y nos ayudaron en todo momento. Incluso nos dejaron salir más tarde ya que teníamos el transfer con ellos. Incluso por hacernos del club del hotel, conseguimos descuentos en tratamientos, bar y otros.

Estaría bien que el hotel tuviera alguna piscina o spa interior para los días de lluvia pero recomendación para futuras rehabilitación

Sehr schöne neue Zimmer. Qualität vom Essen sehr gut. Fruhstücksbuffet wirklich sehr vielfältig. Für kinder immer wieder neue Sachen wie z.b. zuckerwattestände, donuts usw... Mitarbeiter wirklich ausnahmslos freundlich und hilfsbereit. Shuttle zu den fähren praktisch.

Excellent standard of accommodation. We upgraded to a private villa with a pool ( our request). Worth the extra money. Very spacious. Resort very quiet. On the beach. 10 minutes transfer from ferry. Free shuttle. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Buffet breakfast was excellent with huge choice for all cultures. Excellent spa facilities. Free pool towels. Lagoi Plaza 3 mins down the road for some shops - not mass shopping but good value. Make sure you go upstairs to Mustafa shop as well as the one below - some great items for good price. There was a ‘beer and billiards’ bar at the plaza and this was good to go too with nice bar food.

‘Rempah’ Indonesian restaurant onsite very very expensive and not worth the money. Would NOT recommend. The restaurant along the beach (turn right as you go onto the beach, 5 min walk) offers excellent meals to eat in or take away. We had a 2course meal for two people and 5 drinks , came to £15. Very tasty. We were lucky to have a private pool but the normal pools were not very deep. Music at the evening western bar played very loud until nearly midnight every night.

Stunning Beachfront with the Oceanfront Pool Villa where we stayed was pure bliss. The entire staff went above and beyond, every team member was genuinely warm, welcoming and anticipated our every need with a smile. I love the gym classes, kids' programs, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

I thought that if your bathroom could be cleaner by removing the mould and stain, that would be much better.

Easily located very near the main mall and eateries. Though shuttle was provided you can easily walk there.We were given a complimentary decoration and a slice of cake for celebration. There's also complimentary photo taking per room. Breakfast was a large spread of indonesian and international food. Beachfront location is clean and beautiful. Lovely place to explore till far end during low tides. Lots of activities too, borrow a bicycle to ride around, canoe, jetski and many more. Staffs always goes the extra mile whether its housekeeping, at the restaurant or the reception.

Hi Team I want to express my gratitude to the team for ensuring that our recent stay at Four Point by Sheraton Bintan Lagoi was truly memorable for both my husband and I. Your efforts made our experience exceptional, and we genuinely appreciated the warm hospitality throughout our visit. The transfer from the Ferry terminal to your hotel was very smooth. However our room was not ready when we arrived, and we waited quite a while and only gotten our room after 3PM. The team from the front desk were very helpful and tried to expediate for our room to be ready asap. Our room were at Cabana King room. Very spacious, clean and happy with room size and very happy with the shower facilities. Breakfast at Rempah Kitchen covers a wide variety of dishes and the coffee managed by the staff behind the bar was good very good. The location of the hotel is great with clean white sandy beach in front of the hotel and just 5mins walk to Lagoi Plaza, we had lunch at the local restaurant and shopping at Mustafa. We spent our afternoon at East Blue at Lagoi Plaza and truly enjoyed ourself. Just another short walk, we had a lot of fun in the evening at Tidal Bar with live band music. Staff at Tidal bar very friendly. Checking out was a smooth and the transfer from the hotel to Ferry Terminal was on schedule. This hotel shines in his service standards. Almost every staff that I’ve encounted was friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Well done ! Where I can improve I feel it’s the details . Towels are faded, they need to be replaced . There are not enough loungers around the pool with umbrellas And many of these loungers have no cushions i couldn’t find a spot that I could chill by the pool . No pool menu too . The Arinda lounge is a pity. They need just a couple of savoury items to make it work better . I love cakes and pastries but all they need is just 1-2 savoury items for broader appeal . Eg croissant or a quiche or a chicken pie. I wanted to dine here three times - but couldn’t find anything suitable to eat. The beach club restaurant needs to offer a few more standard beach fare that guests expect . Eg hotdogs, club sandwich - I couldnt find these on the menu. Rooms are ok . We were lucky to catch fireworks during the weekend dinner. Good effort for the Soul and Melody evening . Landscaping around the hotel is nice . Good location across Lagoi Plaza with Mustafa and a spa there.

Stayed over weekend of June 26-28. Was abit crowded with a Singaporean tourists as it was last weekend before school holiday ended so the queue to check in was longer than normal. Staff couldn’t tell us when we could move into room at around 12 pm and said they would WhatsApp us once the room is ready. We went for lunch and they didn’t update us until we went to check again and they said it was ready. The staff are generally helpful with luggage and helping us familiarise with the amenities. One staff took the trouble to guide us to the mall direction. We did massage at the spa same afternoon. It was average for the price we paid. Masseur didn’t appear to have a nice choreography , routine feels random. There are few other massage joints opposite hotel at Lagoi plaza which is a mall that is not too crowded. The mall is pretty much deserted with the entire second floor taken up by Mustafa department store. Saw couple of Japanese and local restaurants but didn’t get to try them. They have couple of gelato and minimart . The hotel has a great BBQ buffet dinner offering at night near poolside with a live band. It was good value as they served steak , crab, prawns , chicken and other dishes . The morning breakfast has good spread too of local and western and Indian menu. Service is generally good at restaurants . A separate band plays at the restaurant inside hotel . We got a good seaview hotel room with nice balcony facing pool and sea. The beach is abit farther so you don’t really see it clearly or hear the waves. Personally I I don’t like the shower which doesn’t have a door and the water pressure was not good. That is the only thing I dislike about the room. The hotel is only about 10 minutes from the jetty so it is quite convenient and they pick you up for both wrrricla and departure . I would certainly come back again to stay.

From the moment they pick you up, and up until the moment they drop you off, the whole stay was amazing. The pictures basically reflect what you get. I loved that they decorated the room for us as we were celebrating our engagement. The staff was soooo sweet, they remembered our names and always welcomed us personally. The room was spacious and kept constantly clean for us. It was close to the swimming pool and the beach. The two restaurants on location was perfect - both western and Indonesian cuisine. The experience was amazing and we'd definitely come back again. Thank you so much Sheraton team for making our stay a memorable one, we will be back soon!

It would have been nicer if they had a pool where it was deeper so you could actually swim. I think the deepest pool they had was 1.2m.

We headed to Bintan for a short 4 night stay from Singapore. After reading past reviews, chose this hotel. We were not aware that the resorts in Bintan were in a gated area of the island so outside the hotel there is totally no atmosphere and at the nearby Plaza there aren’t many shops (most are empty). Back to the resort: The positives - room was comfortable with everything we needed - staff super friendly and helpful - great breakfast with a lot of options and coffee made to order The negatives: - the shower - there was a large rain shower head (great) however if you wanted to use the smaller shower head so you didn’t get your hair wet, it either pointed left or right into the wall. if you wanted it pointing at you, you had to hold it with one hand and wash with the other which was annoying (usually you wouldn’t have to hold it in place) - the pool lounges were wicker and extremely uncomfortable- why there was no cushioning was puzzling. We had to use multiple towels to sit on and subsequently our pool holiday wasn’t spent by the pool - the lounges were just terrible - the pool was only 2/3 full and being only 1.2m if full, meant that it was only 90cm deep which was ridiculous. Being tall, I couldn’t swim without hitting the bottom of the pool. So instead of 4 nights, we only stayed 2 and headed back to Singapore early. The staff were great when we explained why we were checking out early however it was a little too late. When we left, we noticed the pool a little fuller and they’d put out a couple of cushions on the pool chairs. Why they hadn’t done this for the comfort of guests earlier is beyond me!

Our 2nd visit with my 3 children. 1st visit was last month for my wedding anniversary and we had a relaxing time. Staffs were incredibly polite and efficient. Special thanks to Chef Johan who made his rounds during breakfast to say hello to customers and remembered us. We will definitely come back again with more friends and extended families.

I just want to say that I had the best time over the 2 nights at Four Points. My group and I booked 5 rooms and all of us are fully satisfied with the team’s friendly and hospitable approach. A special thanks to Ms. Niken who accommodated to our request and gave us a smooth check out. The BBQ team was good as well. And also thanks to Prita, Rini and Yuni for their outstanding hospitality. Good work guys and I would definitely come back to Four Points if I am planning any future trips to Bintan. The room was clean and breakfast was superb with multiple offerings. And the photoshoot is indeed a great idea!

This is going to be a long review. I booked a two nights weekend package deal using Marriott's Bonvoy app. It came with free breakfast and 25% off meals for on site restaurants. Hotel rooms aircon were individually controlled and they were strong despite the hot and humid weather. Also the shower water pressure was strong and nice. Housekeeping was wonderful and prompt, be it extra soap, towels or water. There was also in room fridge which I kept some drinks cold where I bought in Mustafa supermarket at Lagoi plaza. However I don't think there was a ice bucket provided or ice maker which would be a big plus. Lagoi plaza was only a short 5 minutes walk. There were couple massage centres, Japanese style restaurants and an ice cream/cafe. There was a convenience store but no pricing tag for all items which I avoided at all cost. There was also a POLO clothing store. The cheese cake and drinks were about 30% or more cheaper than Singapore prices. The 25% off meals package deal taken on hotel premises were fantastic as I had most of my meals within the hotel grounds. Of course prices can be much much cheaper if you travel out of Lagoi area, but quality was good at the hotel restaurants. It had great facilities from pool to gym plus exercise programme which one can join. Unfortunately I did not manage to use any of it. There was a day care centre for parents with young kids. Beach was only a few minutes walk away. There was also a seaside water sports facility at the beach area next to the hotel. I had free photography session as well with free frame provided in my package deal which was icing on the cake. Breakfast buffet was good and even though there was some hiccups, I really appreciated the restaurant manager Intra and chef who took my feedback seriously. For Indomie lovers, there was also a dedicated station for it next to egg station. There were also waffles, pancakes, candy floss and fried noodles live station too. Overall, all the staff were friendly and always service with a smile. Prompt service and regularly checking back with us during meals if everything was ok too, which made us feel very welcomed and had a enjoyable stay. Only downside was not able access Netflix, Disney or Prime directly. However I was able to resolve it by linking TV with Miracast and it worked out well in the end. Wireless internet speed was reasonably ok too and not laggy except some areas. Definitely a great hotel to stay if you want quality brand name hotel.

Such a lovely resort. The staff were amazing and so welcoming & knowledgeable. We even got a special breakfast on our last day. We loved our stay.
