Good value and kind staff in a solid location. Comfortable stay, and Linh was very helpful with all my needs.

The facilities are very good and the owners are very friendly and helpful with everything. They also have bicycles that you can use when you need it!

The wifi wasn't going very well in my room

I loved everything about this property. The staff was amazing. The view from my balcony. Borrowing bikes to explore the area. Walking distance from great restaurants. The only complaint I have is I need access to reliable Wi-Fi and it was very spotty. However, there are wonderful cafés nearby!

Premièrement, ce n'était pas une chambre de luxe et ne représentait aucunement la description. Je pouvais voir le manque de finition, plâtre ou Pache exposé, Peinture non fait et une odeur d'humidité ou moisiture. J'ai été chanceux de pouvoir reprendre ma chambre ou j'étais depuis un mois qui franchement, était beaucoup plus luxueuse et emplacement agréable. Toujours aller voir avant de réservé.

I loved my room with its door out to the terrace. The location is perfect for peaceful exploration of the rice fields.

Die lage war gut und es gab Fahrräder umsonst.

Die Zimmer waren sehr klein. Als wir ankamen war unser gebuchtes zimmer nicht sauber, wir bekamen zwar ein anderes aber mussten am nächsten tag wechseln. In der Anzeige sind 3 Pools ausgeschrieben die es nicht gibt. Nur einen ,und um den pool herum ,der sehr klein war, gab es mehrere löcher im boden. Was gefährlich für kleinere kinder ist. Außerdem kam schaum aus dem boden hoch. Es gibt zwar eine küche aber die Ausstattung darin ist sehr mager und es gibt keinen richtigen Essbereich. Eine der receptionistinnen ist sehr unfreundlich.

Gorgeous view of the rice fields from the balcony. Very quiet area but still close to cycle/taxi to centre of town. Huge, very clean room and comfortable beds. Staff very attentive and went out of their way to get me a vitamin drink when I wasn’t feeling very well. Would stay here again!

The location was perfect near the rice fields and a short cycle away from Old Town. The view of the rice fields from the balcony was picturesque and wonderful to wake up to. Down the road are many local eateries and the nearby market was brilliant, I wish I had found it sooner! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful especially Quyan (I hope I spelt it correctly!) and was able to do my laundry, hire a bike and book airport taxi very easily.

I could feel the springs in the bed but it didn’t disrupt my sleep. Some drawers and doors on furniture needed fixing. Nothing so bad that I wouldn’t rebook of if I returned to Hoi An.

Emplacement relativement proche du centre ,hôtel mignon face a 1 riziere et proche de restaurants ,facile d'accès avec Grab.

La literie est clairement tres inconfortable on sent ce que je suppose etre les ressorts du matelas. L'humidité dans la chambre laisse une odeur nauséabonde. Beaucoup de moustiques et aucune prise prévue a cet effet. Et l'état des murs est clairement dégoûtant, crottes de nez collées un peu partout (dessus du lit ) dommage car l'endroit est charmant.

Seemed unkempt, somewhat dirty, smelly room, stained carpet.

Beautiful rice field view, quiet area, easy access to beach and Old Town. Staff were always kind and helpful, one even shared some of her fruit with me while we waited for a car. Rooms were spacious and balcony had a lovely view of the rice fields. Also very flexible, we originally only booked for two nights but ended up staying nearly a whole week. We were also able to easily rent a motorbike from them and staff helped me book onward transportation.

Hồ bơi rất đẹp, nước trong và có khu thư giãn xung quanh, buổi chiều ngâm mình thật dễ chịu. Nhân viên thân thiện, phục vụ chu đáo, bữa sáng ngon miệng với nhiều món địa phương. Một nơi lý tưởng để nghỉ ngơi và tận hưởng không khí yên bình của Hội An.

Sam Retreat Villa was exactly what I needed: peaceful, simple, and surrounded by the soft green calm of rice fields. The rooms were functional and comfortable, and I slept incredibly well in the beds. They were soft enough to melt into after a long day. I loved the location: close enough to feel connected, yet tucked away enough to breathe. Plenty of delicious food within walking distance, and Ba Le market only about seven minutes away, perfect for a morning stroll and a local snack adventure. But what truly made my stay special was Quyen, the wonderful receptionist who radiates warmth like morning sunlight. Her kindness, care, and easy laughter made the whole experience feel personal and heartwarming. Every conversation with her reminded me that hospitality, when done with heart, turns a stay into a memory. If you’re lucky enough to be greeted by Quyen, you’ll know what I mean — the welcome alone feels like coming home. I hope her boss knows what a gem they have, because people like Quyen make all the difference.

Tuy đến với Hội An vào những ngày mưa lũ , tôi đã không thể đi đâu đó nhiều vào những ngày ấy, nhưng thay vào đó lễ tân của villa đã rất nhiệt tình recommend cho tôi những nơi tôi chưa được trải nghiệm bao giờ . Các bạn lễ tân ở đây siêu dễ thương và tôi đã được ở một phòng view ruộng rất đẹp , phòng mát mẻ và cực đẹp. Mọi ngừoi nên ở đây 1 lần để trải nghiệm nhé.

The place is amazing! I love the room and the neighborhood. It’s very good if you’re looking for chill and peace. The center is not so far, just 20 minutes walk, or you can also take a bike to there. I extend my stay because i really love this place.

Mình rất thích không gian ở đây yên tĩnh, sạch sẽ và thoáng mát. Phòng ốc tiện nghi, đầy đủ mọi thứ cần thiết. Nhân viên cực kỳ thân thiện, luôn tươi cười và sẵn sàng hỗ trợ bất cứ lúc nào. Bữa sáng ngon, đa dạng món, khu hồ bơi cũng rất đẹp và dễ chịu.

Mọi thứ nhìn chung đều ổn, không xa phố cổ lắm có xe đạp miễn phí nên cũng rất tiện để di chuyển.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. They let me have free early check in as was travelling hours before. And the mini bar is lovely too!

There was things going on next door all day early morning, drums and music and someone on microphone at 7am! I came to relax but didn’t get to relax one bit, it was actually really stressful. It was so so so loud!!!! Also the shower would not work and hot water would not come out, only cold, but staff moved me room which was very nice.

Good location in relation to Hoi An old town....7 mins on a scooter, clean, comfortable room, owner was very proactive with any questions, great value for money.

All the staff are friendly and kind and flexible to help me have a wonderful experience. Hoi An is my hometown but bring born in another country, it was my coming home vibes. Sam Retreat made me feel right at home and gave me a wonderful convenient location for my family reunion. There are great cafe and restaurant nearby and walkable. Thank you so much. A quiet peaceful place.

By some chance or not, I was given a room that wasn't numbered at all, meaning they rarely apparently rented it out to a guest. The front door of the room creaked a lot. I asked them to fix the door. They brought oil to lubricate it, but they never lubricated it. The oil was left in my room. They said they needed a device they didn't have. There was no balcony in the room, as well as a beautiful view of the terraces. The room seemed small to me, there was not a table in it. There was a fan in the room that was already running when I moved in. All the fan blades were very dirty, it felt like it had not been cleaned for six months or a year. The refrigerator was freezing very hard, and on the first day it spoiled the fruits that I put there unknowingly. Sam Retreat is very far from the historical center. You either need to take a taxi or a bike. They have 5 or 6 bicycles available for free. But there are more rooms and guests, so several times I was left without a bike because it had already been taken. It should be noted that the bikes available were very old- one had a rusty steering wheel, the second also had problems with the steering wheel...The nearest rental point is about 1 km away in the heat and there are no normal pedestrian sidewalks. Sum it up, for me this place wasn't a retreat it was a place where I dealt with a lot of things that needed to be fixed.

The location is great, amongst the rice paddies, and cycling distance to many cafes, the beach and the ancient town. Kelly on the front desk was very friendly and helpful

The hotel is a bit run down, and I had stains on the carpet floor. The furniture is basic and there’s no sound proofing. The room door is made of glass and the bed is hard. It’s cheap I guess

The location and the view from the balcony is stunning!

The room is spacious however: - the carrpet was too smelly, I could not sleep, the property showed no act when I informed the room was very smelly, they gave me the room spray(this could not help) - Every electronic equipmebt in the room are old and make big noise especially the fan in the bathroom, the smell from the sewer in the bathroom also bad. - The water pumping machine is working 24-24 and make annoying sound, on arrival date I thought the noise would stop after a few hour but it was not the case. When informed the staff they said no one complain but me, and they never checked to see if they can do anything about the noise and did not bother to ask me upon check out. - The instant noodle in the room were expired at least 1 month ago but they still set up in my room, when I informed no action was made, no one change the noodle.

Cosy and balcony view over the rice paddies is a delight.

The location is wonderful. 20 minute walk to The Old Town historical centre and 3 kms to a fabulous beach.

Stayed here nearly 3 months in the end. It's in a quiet area but still close to the center and the local co-working space is within walking distance. Kelly is a great host, kind and responsive. The rooms are spacious, have good beds, ac, and are modern and well kept. Internet is good too. And the breakfast was always nice.

No issues, anything minor got resolved right away.

The location and the swimming pool. It was incredibly clean. The hostess was lovely and helpful. Close enough to Hoi an to get a taxi, but in lovely paddy field countryside with lots of supermarkets, restaurants and massage within walking distance. Good breakfast with variety of seasonal fruits.

The rooms only have one key so you need to leave that if you want the room cleaned. The heater for the water is on the wall outside the bathroom and you need to switch it on. These are minor points, but worth noting for future guests.

A very peaceful place with beautiful views and lovely staff. The photo makes it look quite isolated but it's in a residential area close to anything you might need. There's a great restaurant less than 2 mins walk away in case you don't want to go further and you have a local high street and local market within 5 minutes walk. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good. I had a room without a balcony but the view from the window was fantastic. I hope to return here later in this trip

It's a minor thing - the fridge is a small one with a very small freezer compartment and, since the electricity is on a key card, it doesn't stay very cold.

For me it was the perfect place because there was nothing lacking here and the service staff made every effort to make us feel comfortable, which I really appreciated. We had the top room with a balcony view of the rice fields, it was fantastic. The pool was also clean and I was able to swim there every morning before work. Bicycles were free and scooters could also be rented spontaneously. It's not far to cycle into town or to the beach. I had a wonderful time here and when I come back I will definitely stay at Sam Retreat Villa again 😃

Great location, near the rice fields, really quiet place. It takes 10 minutes by bicycle to get to the Old Town. The hotel provides free bicycles. The room was clean and comfortable. Kelly who works there is extremely sweet and polite. Helped me with everything I asked for

This cozy villa is in a quiet area. You can reach the rice fields in just one minute. The receptionist is really nice and helps guests with whatever they need. The rooms are lovely and make you feel relaxed, perfect for a peaceful vacation. It's in a great spot between the beach and the old town. They have free bikes you can use and serve a tasty breakfast in the morning. I definitely recommend staying here.

There is 1 smallish pool rather than 3 as advertised by booking.com, Issues with maintenance i.e. tv set, bicycle not working properly. Are 4star justified- disputable.

Extremely friendly staff, amazing location, great views, clean and quiet. The bicycles were a nice touch and you really felt at home straight away.

WiFi speeds weren't great and the rooms need optimising for working online - but the beautiful views make up for it! The mattress was a bit hard.

The location is great. The view of the rice fields is stunning. Nice and quiet, I slept with the balcony doors open and listen to the frogs at night and birds in the morning! The breakfast was delicious and fresh. It was great to use the free bicycles. Cozy family-like feel. I will stay here again!

The experience was truly delightful, offering exceptional value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, adding a warm and welcoming touch to our stay. Moreover, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, the WIFI was good and the view from our room was stunning. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we’ll definitely come back.

Hopefully next time when we visit, there will be more bicycles available. We were looking forward to exploring the place on bicycles, but unfortunately most of the time they were already taken. Other than that, everything was perfect.
