Red Sands Mui Ne

The owner and staff were so accommodating, they made us homemade meals when we weren’t feeling well, we were able to book their driver to take us to and from HCM and into the busier part of Mui Ne at a decreased rate compared to local Grab drivers, and we were even given a gift based on our zodiac. The banana pancakes on the breakfast menu were so delicious I had them every morning. The quiet location made the trip much more relaxing and a great way to unwind after a busy tour of Vietnam.

There was a bit of mould behind the bedhead, but not enough to affect the air quality. There was also a fragrance being sprayed in the room which I found overwhelming and flared up my allergies, in future it could be good to check if guests are okay with having the fragrance on before arrival. We were able to turn it off but the smell lingered for a while. There is a beach just a short walk away but it wasn’t really swimmable. The one further around the corner looked nicer but we weren’t able to visit unfortunately.

L’emplacement .

Der Besitzer ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Er überraschte uns mit einem kleinen persönlichen Geschenk und war jederzeit per WhatsApp erreichbar.

Fangen wir mit dem Gelände an. Es ist deutlich kleiner als es die Bilder suggerieren. Insgesamt wirkt alles abgegriffen und nicht sonderlich gepflegt, was sehr schade ist, da es architektonisch sehr ansprechend gestaltet ist! Der Pool ist sehr klein aber wird gleich gereinigt und wirkte sauber. Das Zimmer mit Balkon war ganz ansehnlich. Mehr aber auch nicht. Der Balkon bietet Platz für zwei Personen, wird aber mit dem daneben liegenden Zimmer geteilt. Das Bett quietschte bei jeder Bewegung und die Kissen zwingen dich zeitnah eine Massage zu buchen. Nachts, gegen 23 Uhr, startete ein undefinierbares monotones Summen, welches mich um meinen Schlaf brachte. Wunderbar, wenn man 3 Nächte gebucht hat. Die Vorhänge im Bad waren verschimmelt, die Badewanne dreckig und die Dusche alt und verkalkt. Aus dem Klo kam ein unangenehmer Geruch, der sich im gesamten Raum ausbreitete. Insgesamt würde dieses Hotel ein gutes Hostel für Backpacker abgeben, insofern da nicht der verhältnismäßig hohe Preis wäre. 141 Euro für 3 Nächte ist in dieser Region happig. Zu guter Letzt noch ein paar Worte zur Lage. Wir befinden uns hier im Niemandsland. Es gibt hier literarisch nichts außer die roten Sandberge, mit der diese Stadt und namentlich auch das Hotel werben. Einen Strandabschnitt gibt es nicht. Wir können dieses Hotel in diesem Zustand leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Rien c’est parfait !

Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und auch sehr sauber. Man hatte von der Terrasse eine tolle Aussicht und man hat sich ein bisschen gefühlt. wie in der Karibik, da vor der Dachterrasse viele Palmen standen. Nicht weit weg gab es auch einen großen Strand, welcher aber leider sehr vollgemüllt war.Als Abschiedsgeschenk bekamen wir handgemachte super süße Figuren.

Das Frühstück war etwas einfach und hat sehr simpel geschmeckt. Es war ein bisschen problematisch, dass das Badezimmer im Freien war, da wir Nachts ein Unwetter hatten und wir trotz teilüberdachtem WC bei Blitz, Donner und Starkregen auf das WC mussten. ( sonst ist das Bad toll)

L'hôtel est très très beau, original, propre et confortable. Les matières utilisées sont naturelles (pierre, bois,, verre, tissus) et la salle de bain en extérieur avec la grande baignoire est juste magnifique. Le lit est très confortable et nous avons passé 3 nuits à Red Sands Mui dans une belle et très grande chambre donnant sur une jolie terrasse. Toute l'équipe est accueillante et chaleureuse, à l'image de toute la déco qui est extraordinaire d'inventivité et d'originalité. Mon mari avait oublié son téléphone dans le grab qui nous avait déposés et la dame a sauté sur son scooter et a pu récupérer le téléphone pour nous. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux, le jus de fruit du dragon...miam! Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour à Red Sands Mui Ne grâce à la gentillesse et le sourire de l'équipe... Nous avons aussi apprécié que l'hôtel fasse un effort pour minimiser l'usage de plastique

L'environnement jonché de détritus. Du fait de l saison de la mousson, le vent et la mer ont apporté de la mer plein de détritus qui se sont ajoutés à ceux des locaux.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön gestaltet. Wir haben 3 Nächte hier verbracht und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Das schöne Zimmer, der Garten, und der Pool trösten schnell darüber hinweg dass das Hotel etwas außerhalb gelegen ist und der nächste Badestrand nicht fußläufig zu erreichen ist. Das das Hotel kostengünstige Motorroller zur Verfügung stellt konnten wir die Umgebung aber problemlos erkunden

In der Straße und Richtung Meer lag viel Müll. Wenn sich die Gemeinschaft hier etwas organisiert profitieren alle Hotels in der Straße davon.

A beautiful, peaceful slice of paradise tucked away from all the noise. This accommodation exceeded our expectations and we instantly felt at home. The staff were welcoming, attentive and helpful. The room was amazing, architecturally and comfort-wise. It was clean and spacious. You can tell a lot of thought and effort was put in to creating this beautiful space. We rented a bike to get around, heading West towards Mui Ne centre, and East to the White Sand Dunes and quieter beaches … the location was perfect for us. I would 100% recommend staying here and we will definitely be back soon. Thankyou!

The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. we arrived super late because our bus was delayed and we were exhausted and the lady hosting it cooked for us a lovely meal. the breakfast was delicious and authentic, pool was clean, hotel was very beautiful and looked great on photos and it was a lovely and very special place to spend my birthday. air conditioning was very good too. the hotel staff made an emphasis of making sure we felt at home and ‘part of the family’ which i thought was very sweet.

the location wasn’t the best but the hotel being so lovely and beautiful made up for it and to be fair it was easy to taxi around.

das hotel ist wirklich ein kleines paradies. einfach ein wunderbarer ort. das personal ist sehr herzlich. das hotel verdient 11 punkte.

die umgebung ist wirklich nichts schönes. die strände sind voller müll. aber da können sie vom hotel ja nichts dafür. ich hatte ein motorrad mit dem ich verschiedene ausflühge gemacht habe. so ist es ok.

Die Unterkunft hatte so einen tollen Charm und strahlte so viel Ruhe aus, dass wir uns sehr gut erholen konnten. Dat und ihre Familie haben uns herzlichst empfangen und wir haben uns zu keiner Sekunde allein gefühlt. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und kommen definitiv nochmal wieder !

Die Unterkunft liegt leider etwas abseits, aber mit dem Fahrer der Unterkunft war man innerhalb von 15-25 Minuten in der nächstgelegenen Stadt.

Such a lovely boutique hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make sure it is comfortable and memorable. The lady on front desk which I believe is the owner was amazing. Always polite and in great spirits. She even booked and paid for our bus to our next place which was just above and beyond service and drove us the pick up point! We were given handmade souvenirs to remember the stay and their son is just the cutest it really feels like you are chilling with the family which is exactly how they say they want to make you feel.

Sehr hübsche Zimmer. Besonders das Bad mit Badewanne unter freiem Himmel ist ein Traum. Tägliche Reinigung. Sehr nettes Personal. Unkomplizierter Rollerverleih. Wer ein paar Tage hier verbringt, kommt an einem Roller nicht vorbei. Vor Ort ist nur eine Infrastruktur für das Nötigste vorhanden. Es gibt ein Restaurant (auch westliche Küche) in nur 100 Metern Entfernung. Ansonsten kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Garküchen an der Hauptstrasse. Das war‘s. Die Strände im Umkreis sind nicht (mehr) vorhanden. Vom Hotel wird der Pineapple Beach Club vorgeschlagen. Sicher kein Fehler. Wer es jedoch gern etwas weniger fancy und hip hätte, findet direkt rechts daneben die ruhige Strandbar „Truong Khang“ einer sehr netten vietnamesischen Familie. Der Strand ist sicher der beste im 20km-Umkreis. Das Frühstück ist vielleicht für einen ausgewachsenen Mann etwas knapp bemessen. Aber kein Problem, wer gern ausgiebig frühstückt, darf sich zusätzliche Gerichte gegen Aufpreis bestellen.

Wspaniali ludzie, bardzo pomocni.Polecam restaurację 100- 200 metrów od hotelu w stronę głównej drogi po prawej stronie - tanio, smacznie,po prostu rewelacja!!!Hotel polecam na max 1-2 doby jako bazę wypadową .Okolica nieciekawa,plaża brudna. Jeszcze dodam ,że po pobycie otrzymaliśmy wszyscy wspaniałe osobiste prezenty.Brawa dla właściciela !!!

Het personeel is geweldig, erg lieve mensen. De kamers zijn brandschoon, het contact via whatsapp met de manager is goed. We zijn een dag langer gebleven en door het personeel naar Ho Chi Minh gebracht. We hebben echt niks op te merken, zou graag weer terugkomen.

Such a great hotel! Really unique architecture with a fantastic staff taking care of everything from pickup at the airport to send off. There is a small but nice beach close by and their excellent driver got us around. We loved our stay.

Small friendly and relaxing place to stay. Lovely pool with a sunbathing terrace on the roof. The staff, especially Hong, were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Very clean our room was serviced daily. Lovely breakfasts. Had a seafood BBQ which was delicious and well priced. We got to choose what we wanted and the lovely Hong bought it and cooked it for us. It is just outside the centre of Mui Ne which suited us just fine. It was easy to get the local bus and cheap for a grab car on the way back. We would recommend Red Sands to anyone and hope to return.

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad! De kamer is prachtig en voorzien van een heerlijk bed. Wij hadden de kamer met ‘buiten’ badkamer met uitzicht op zee, dit was elke keer genieten. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en doet ondanks de taalbarrière ontzettend hun best om het naar je zin te maken. Ook heb je whatsapp met de eigenaar die goed Engels spreekt en altijd bereikbaar is. Mijn vriend was jarig tijdens ons verblijf en we kregen ons ontbijt hierom op de kamer geserveerd met een heerlijke taart erbij, super lief dat ze zo mee wilde denken hierin. Dikke aanrader dus!

Iets om rekening mee te houden is dat het wel wat verder van het centrum af ligt, hier hadden wij ons in vergist. Maar alsnog zouden wij nogmaals voor dit verblijf kiezen.

Prachtig hotel met mooi ingerichte zeer ruime kamers, goed bed. Locatie vlak aan zee, maar wel geen strand. Personeel zeer behulpzaam (spreken wel geen Engels, alles via google translate). Zeer proper.

Ontbijt kan beter: geen koffie (te betalen) en je kunt maar 1 gerecht kiezen. Locatie is prima als je een scooter huurt. Anders niet veel direct in de buurt. Als je strandvakantie wil: niet direct aan te raden, van de stranden in de omgeving is er niet veel meer over...

The property is very individual and unique. The host Hong is amazing. Very kind and helpful. Pool is great and the breakfast plus food is available throughout the day. Taxi ride is available from red sands compatible with Grab. Good service. It’s about 20 mins into Mui Ni strip which is OK but not great. We visited a local beach which was recommended but very bizarre. Visitors just taking insta photos, had to purchase a drink to enter and limited food option. The drive there is also bizarre past many abandoned hotels and resorts. Apparently Mui Ni has major issue with coastal erosion and lot of hotels have pulled out of the area.

The location is extremely isolated. There is 1 local restaurant which is great selling Vietnamese food but otherwise street shops selling soft drinks , crisps and street food. The beach is deserted and full of plastic and advisable not to visit. Outside the property the surrounding area is very local, lots of abandoned property and waste ground, litter, graffiti and more dumped plastic. Burning rubbish also seen near the hotel .

A hotel we absolutely loved From the very first moment we arrived, we could feel how warm and welcoming this place is. The hotel is small, charming, and authentic, with a wonderful eye for design and a real understanding of how to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip to Vietnam, this is without a doubt the one where we received the very best service. After getting a bit tired of the food at our previous hotels, this was such a refreshing experience. Everything is freshly prepared, incredibly delicious, and wonderfully authentic — it truly hit the spot every single time. The photos on the website honestly don’t do this beautiful little gem justice. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Ett unikt och fantastiskt fint hotell. Stora rum och bekväma sängar. Kvinnan som drev hotellet var serviceinriktad och hjälpsam. Hon pratar inte ett ord engelska men kommunicerar via Google translate.

Hotellet i sig är jättefint men omgivningen är inte så fantastisk. Stränderna i närheten var smutsiga. Man behöver en moppe eller bil för att ta sig runt.

This place is a gem. We loved just about everything in there. Starting with the rooms that are decorated in a way that will make you smile and get you in good mood. Everything in there fits perfectly. The rooms are unnoticeably integrated into the surroundings, for example you have the coconut palms hanging above your head in the bathroom. To reach the upper rooms you may need to cross the hanging bridge. A few words about the owner and the personnel - they're just great. Helpful, caring, able to solve most of your problems. The owner helped us to extend our stay due to an unexpected, late change in our trip plans and supported in checking all changed trip details so we would not have any unpleasant surprises. Truly appreciated! Before we left Red Sands Mui Ne, we got some small gifts, which will definitely make us remember the place. That was truly touching. Thank you!

One small thing that the owner might consider is to provide chairs in the rooms. For sure you might sit outside of the room, however it'd be nice to have possibility to sit inside the air-conditioned room.

Le cadre est magnifique et au calme. La famille gérante est très accueillante et nous a proposé une agréable excursion. La chambre est décorée avec goût, la salle de bain est atypique, il est très agréable de se laver le matin au chant des oiseaux ! Nous avons pu nous reposer à la piscine.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet établissement. Il est géré par une famille adorable qui rends le séjour très agréable. Le lieu est très beau et décoré avec goût. La chambre est très confortable et est sublime. Tout est mis en place pour passer un moment merveilleux. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine, du roof top et du calme que propose ce lieu. Les déjeuners préparés par la famille sont délicieux et frais. Nous nous sommes régalés. La famille propose un service de taxi pour nous emmener partout où nous voulons ce qui est très pratique. Un grand merci de nous avoir permis de passer un séjour merveilleux à vos côtés.

Excellent endroits pour passer un bon moment. L'hôtel et la chambre etaient super propres rien a redire, tout etait conforme a ce quon voit sur les photos. Le personnel est tres simpa et souriant, pret a aider, le petit dej est vraiment bon et plutot complet (jai pris que le pho bo pour les 2jours ou je suis resté mais il etait super bon) La plage est juste a cote a pied ou alors vous pouvez louer une moto pour aller ailleurs. Parfait pour les couples. Et la baignoire etait super agréable, salle de bain au top. Eau, coca et biere dans le frigo privatif vraiment pas cheres. Chambre tres propre et changée chaque jour.

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, das gesamte Designkonzept passt so toll zusammen. Es ist außergewöhnlich. Das Frühstück wird jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet, dass man sich eine Speise aus 7 auswählt fand ich gut.

Piękny obiekt w stylu tropikalnym z przesympatycznymi właścicielami. Pyszne śniadania możliwość wynajęcia skutera oraz transportu do pobliskich atrakcji jak i do Ho Chi Minh. Dodatkowym atutem jest położenie bardzo blisko plaży, która jest czysta, pusta długa i nadająca się do pływania. Pokoje mają wszystkie udogodnienia potrzebne w czasie pobytu. Idealne miejsce by odpocząć w ciszy i poczuć się jak w raju.

Очень уютный отель, красивые и чистые номера, у нас был с видом на море. Завтраки вкусные, вечером выбираешь что хочешь завтра покушать, есть как вьетнамская кухня, так и европейская. Ощущаешь себя как дома, приветливые хозяева, помогали со всем. Помогли зарядить наши электробайки. Нам на выезде подарили фигурки с годом нашего рождения. Так мило 🥹

Das Hotel ist eines der schönsten Hotels gewesen in denen wir bisher übernachtet haben. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll und perfekt zueinander passend eingerichtet und man fühlt sich wie in einer kleinen Oase. Dazu kommt noch die sehr zuvorkommende und angenehme Gastgeberfamilie die sehr bemüht ist einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen und zu helfen wo sie nur kann. Wir wurden überall hingefahren wo wir hinwollten zu den gleichen Preisen wie bei Grab. Das Frühstück sucht man sich aus einer kleinen Auswahl am Vorabend aus. Die angebotene Pho war mit Abstand die beste die wir in unseren zwei Wochen Vietnam gegessen haben und wir haben wirklich einige probiert. Und auch das kleine Restaurant gleich nebenan ist absolut empfehlenswert und richtig lecker. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Badezimmer ein echter Hingucker mit riesiger Badewanne aus Stein. Das Bett war auch sehr bequem. Wir hatten auf jeden Fall drei sehr schöne Tage dort.

Die Unterkunft kann absolut nichts dafür, aber leider ist der Ort Mui Ne nicht mehr wirklich so sehenswert wie er vielleicht einmal war. Und wir haben uns bei unserem Aufenthalt ein bisschen gefragt, warum der Ort ein empfohlenes Reiseziel ist. Es gibt wirklich sehr wenig dort zu sehen und die Sehenswürdigkeiten die dort sind wirken auch so als hätten sie ihre beste Zeit schon eine ganze Weile hinter sich. Der Fairy Stream war bei uns zumindest relativ dreckig und vermüllt und man konnte ihn auch nicht bis zum Wasserfall laufen, weil der Weg teilweise durch Müll versperrt war, was wahrscheinlich mit dem vielen Regen zu tun hatte. Die Dünen (wir waren nur bei den roten) sind auch relativ unspektakulär. Dazu kommt auch der durch Erosion verschwundene Strand, welcher auch nur von leerstehenden Resorts gesäumt ist und man kaum mehr als eine kleine Strandwanderung machen kann, weil der Strand auch irgendwann einfach vorbei ist. Anscheinend hat der Ort dadurch und durch die Pandemie einfach seine Touristen verloren wodurch sich auch um das was noch da ist, dementsprechend wenig gekümmert wird. Das fanden wir wirklich sehr schade. Die Pineapple Bar direkt am Wasser war noch ein schöner Ort um abends zu sitzen aber bis auf eine weitere Bar gab es nicht wirklich viel mehr. Dafür kann aber das wirklich tolle Hotel absolut nichts und wir würden das Hotel absolut jedem empfehlen der einfach eine schöne ruhige Zeit in einem wirklich wunderschönen Hotel verbringen will.

Die Umgebung und der Dreck am Strand

Tout est parfait ici et les lieux sont exactement comme les photos puis l’accueil chaleureux des hôtes. Vous arrivez dans leurs chez eux et les propriétaires sont aux petits soins tout en restant discret. La chambre est sublime, la salle de bain un vrai espace détente ! La piscine est agréable surtout avec les chaleurs que nous avons eus. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais bon. Vous êtes à quelques pas de la plage par contre un peu loin de la ville mais le calme et la tranquillité valent le détour.

Peut-être penser à éteindre les lumières extérieures le soir qui permettrait de dormir dans le noir sans reflet de lumières dans la chambre. ( sinon emmenez un masque de nuit comme moi )

Das kleine Hotel ist wirklich ganz toll Wir waren zwei Nächte dort und konnten abschaltend, es ist sehr abgelegen und man kann zur Ruhe kommen Die Besitzer sind sehr bemüht und wahnsinnig nett Das Zimmer war toll, das Außenbad macht alles sehr besonders. Essen in der Unterkunft war auch lecker, wir hatten ein BBQ. Sehr ruhig zum schlafen, Bett war auch gut

Die Unterkunft ist sehr abgelegen, was die Anreise etwas schwer macht. Grab funktioniert, dauert aber länger. Außenrum ist leider viel heruntergekommen und schmutzig. Es gibt nur ein Restaurant in Laufweite (wir haben in der Unterkunft gegessen)

Le propriétaire et les employés sur place sont très accueillants et très réactifs. Super service et bons conseils sur quoi faire comme activités. L'endroit est très beau et calme, les chambres sont confortables.

Our stay at Red Sand was exceptional. The family running the place was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful, with a terrace offering sea views and fishing boats in the distance. Breakfast was excellent — freshly cooked each morning with several options to choose from. The location is a bit outside the main town (about 15 minutes by scooter), but that makes it peaceful and relaxing. Scooters can be rented directly from the hotel, which was very convenient. Everything about this place was perfect — we would have stayed longer if we could.

The most beautiful place I have enjoyed for my holidays in Viet Nam. Staff is very nice & friendly. Place is outstanding for relaxing. Absolutely, I will visit Red Sand again in next time traveling to Viet Nam.

This is a great lodge with big rooms and really well designed and incorporated with nature. It’s 10-15 minutes outside of the main part of Mui Ne but I think that’s a plus since it’s quieter and there’s still a few good family-run restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff and owners are the nicest, most hospitable people I’ve met and they alone are reason enough to stay here. Can’t recommend it enough.

The room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. There were six breakfast options to choose from and we even arranged for a bbq dinner - fresh catch of the day by local fisherman that was very value for money. We didn't have enough cash on hand but could accumulate various bills for transport/food/beer on tab and pay with our credit card before we checked out. Staff are friendly, accommodating, and proactive in making sure we were well taken care of.

We paid more for a room with a huge tub, but the water pressure and the heating would never have made it possible for the tub to be filled sufficiently, so we gave up very quickly. The pool is small and likely comfortable only for a group or two to be inside at once. We were woken up on Sunday morning by loud religious music playing in the living area, which was strange.

While our stay was enjoyable, a few minor issues are worth noting: there were some insects in the room, the hot water was not available, and the nearby beach could be cleaner. These did not ruin our experience but may be important for some guests.
