Pousada Alfama

A gem of a hotel. The location is perfect for a short break in the city as you are ideally situated in the historic part of the city, a short walk away from the Castle and Cathedral, and right on the 28 and 12 tram route if you don't fancy walking back up the hill! The staff at the hotel were very helpful with travel planning and also some superb dinner recommendations in the local area. Breakfast in the hotel was also excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Top Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück. Wir konnten problemlos unser Zimmer tauschen, da das erste uns etwas zu dunkel war. Wir haben uns sehr wohl in diesem Hotel gefühlt.

Die Betten sind etwas schmal Queensize), aber für ein paar Nächte ist es ok.

Très joli petit hôtel remarquablement placé dans Alfama. Personnel très aimable. Chambre petite mais très propre et confortable.Excellent buffet de petit déjeuner très copieux. Un bel établissement où nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

La veille de notre départ, la clim qui s'était mise en stand by n'a pas pu être redémarrée mais c'était le week-end.

Only things I didn’t like was no tea and coffee facilities in bedroom. Only one chair on balcony. Dining area was very small and not always space for everyone at breakfast . It does have an outdoor area which we used once, but all the other mornings it was raining so unusable.

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel, hervorragende Lage. Es war trotzdem sehr ruhig, Fenster und Wände waren gut schallisoliert. Im Zimmer alles neu und sehr sauber. Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Unser Zimmer war sehr klein, und es gab nicht viel Stauraum für die Kleidung. Aber wie groß das Zimmer ist, sieht man beim Buchen. Es gibt auch größere Zimmer.

Dezamăgitor și mult supraevaluat Din punctul meu de vedere, acest hotel este mult supraevaluat. Se promovează foarte mult prin amplasarea centrală, însă realitatea este mult mai puțin plăcută. Camera este extrem de mică. Dacă deschizi o singură valiză, aproape că nu mai ai pe unde să mergi. Nu există un dulap propriu-zis, ci doar câteva umerașe amplasate după ușă. Baia este la fel de neconfortabilă: nu există bideu, iar dușul este atât de îngust încât ai senzația că trebuie să stai cu mâinile sus ca să te poți mișca. Nici amplasarea nu este ceea ce ne așteptam. Hotelul nu are parcare, dar problema este chiar mai mare: nu există nici măcar un loc decent în fața hotelului unde taxiul să poată opri pentru a lăsa sau lua pasagerii ori unde să poți descărca liniștit bagajele. În fața hotelului nici măcar nu există un trotuar corespunzător, iar tramvaiul trece foarte aproape — trebuie să fii permanent atent. Faptul că este „central” nu înseamnă neapărat că este și bine amplasat. Zona este foarte aglomerată, zgomotoasă și agitată, iar experiența nu a fost deloc una relaxantă. Cât despre micul dejun, nici acesta nu ne-a impresionat. Iar doamna care îl servește pare să înceapă fiecare dimineață ca și cum ar fi băut oțet în loc de cafea — foarte puțină amabilitate și o atitudine care nu face deloc cinste unui hotel. Per total, prețul și prezentarea hotelului nu justifică experiența oferită. Nu l-aș recomanda și cu siguranță nu aș reveni.

L'accoglienza dei gestori è stata perfetta. In attesa del check in ci hanno offerto acqua aromatica fresca, frutta e biscottini buonissimi. Poco dopo in camera ci hanno portato anche i famosi pasteis de nata come regalo di benvenuto. La camera super confortevole, molto pulita, con TV super tecnologica e anche un bel terrazzino con una buona privacy.. La hall è arredata in modo particolare e di classe dove è presente una macchina del caffè e cappuccino disponibile gratuitamente. All'estero c'è anche un famoso locale di Alfama dove si può bere e mangiare.

Hotel naprawdę godny polecenia nie tylko ze względu na lokalizację, ale też że względu na bardzo pomocny i przyjazny personel (wszystkie osoby), czystość w pokoju (codziennie sprzątane pokoje, uzupełniana woda w szklanej butelce). Woda, kawa z ekspresu, lemoniada z lodem dla gości przez cały dzień w cenie. Do tego pyszne małe ciasteczka i owoce. Takie szczegóły zapadają w pamięć. Czuliśmy się zaopiekowani od początku do końca pobytu. Pokoje z klimatyzacją, ciche (my mieliśmy okno na dziedziniec). Śniadania przepyszne i sycące, do tego lokalne wypieki. Gdy zgłodniejecie w ciągu dnia można coś dodatkowo przekąsić z menu (sałatka z tuńczykiem była przepyszna i spora, wybitna sardynka z puszki Jose Gourmet z mini tościkami bardzo smaczna, ale tym się nie najecie, tościki są naprawdę malutkie i nie takie jakich możemy się spodziewać po tostach;)). W pobliżu ciekawe sklepiki, ale uważajcie na masową chińszczyznę (przy odrobinie wytrwałości znajdziecie autentyczne perełki, ale to nie miejsce na rekomendacje). To samo tyczy się gastronomii - pytać lokalsów. Dziękujemy za piękne wrażenia z hotelu i gościnność! Pozdrawiam Carlę i resztę personelu.

Our overall experience was excellent. The staff was friendly and amazingly helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location in Aflama was great and view from the courtyard for our evening night cap was beautiful. Rooms were clean and efficient. I would recommend this hotel.

We sleep on a king size bed at home, so the queen size bed was a little too small and firm for our liking.

Balcony room was really a patio so while I could go outside, all I could see was a wall.

Allt var 10/10. Personalen var så trevliga och hjälpsamma. God frukost. Utmärkt läge. Fräscha rum. Finns inget att klaga på. Vi fick en frukostkasse av hotellet då vi var tvungna att åka hem innan buffén öppnade, vilket var väldigt tacksamt! Kommer rekommendera detta hotell till alla som ska till Lissabon!

The hotel is nicely situated in Alfama - central to everything in the neighborhood with a nice patio area where you can meet other people or just watch confused tourists clumsily stumble across the uneven cobblestone streets. The staff was very gracious, the coffee machine made decent coffee and one can tell that the property tries to accommodate with a nice personalized welcome letter and complementary pastries upon check in.

I had three issues that made my stay less than ideal... First, the blackout curtains didn't extend to the edge of the window which meant that bright light streamed into my room every morning at 7am - not when I personally wanted to get up after long days of traipsing around the city. Second, on one of the days I was there they had a singer playing guitar and singing for two hours in the courtyard. It sounds like a cool thing but in reality, no one was there, and the off key vocals amplified directly into my room when I was just trying to relax before dinner. Totally unnecessary. Lately, chemicals. The sheets were white as snow, but the bleach used to get them that way was intense. It took the entire first day for the smell to subside and Im pretty sure it gave me some intense eye irritation. I respect this place trying to do a good job, but these things made my stay uncomfortable and I was very happy to leave after my second night. I got a way better place for less money.

Amazing location, literally at the heart of the Alfama area, everything is within walking distance. Very friendly staff who kept the hotel and rooms exceptionally clean and tidy. Gorgeous courtyard with epic views to watch the world go by! Great breakfast too!

Can’t fault this hotel, especially for the price as a late booking. Would love a kettle in the room but coffee machine downstairs was available all day and complimentary

Everything from check in to check out, staff was super helpful and the hotel decor is beautiful, confy and holds a super chill and peaceful environment which is key to enjoying such a space, even the cleaning staff was so nice. Im definitely coming back

Relaxed, easy going hotel in a lovely location. Easy access to everything. Fabulous choice for breakfast and really lovely quality food. There was a coffee machine and plenty of water available in the dining area at all times

Although there were drinks available at reception there wasn't really a bar as such to use. Sangria was very poor quality compared to other bars we used in Lisbon.

The building is beautifully converted in a unique style. Loved the ambience and decoration. Nice informal bar area and a garden at the back. Trams and viewpoint just outside. Street art is the perfect addition

Lovely facility. Restaurant surprisingly decent given it was pretty much the only option nearby. Beautiful grounds.

We needed a car in order to get to the town or ruins nearby, just something to keep in mind. In the heat and with no sidewalks it really wasn't walkable, at least for us.

Nice rooms, great breakfast with mimosas included. I loved that we could get wine in the courtyard and see the water.
