MoonLight Tay Ho

Where do I start! The staff were absolutely wonderful, during my stay I had Alice, Liam and Tony taking care of me. I checked in late on my first night, but they have 24/7 reception and they were so incredibly accommodating. As a woman travelling alone, safety was important to me, but the neighbourhood felt so warm and safe. They let me know that they offered a laundering service (for only 50,000dong per kg! So affordable). The first two nights I stayed in the sauna room, and it was just lovely, the sauna was so comforting and clean, they give you essential oils to mix in the water, and straight after the sauna I would soak in the bath which was so large and relaxing. It also had an open air balcony and garden which was just lovely. The next two nights I stayed in the fish pond room, and WOW! I can’t rate this room (or should I say apartment) highly enough, it was so beautiful, clean, and soo large, with its own kitchen, lounge room and private fish pond and balcony with a view of the entire lake, so so beautiful!! They even give you fish food to feed the fish in your spare time 💗 absolutely wonderful experience, I will definitely be coming back.

The bed was comfy and really clean. They also got a 2 way air conditioner, which is something most other apartments rarely have. Met the receptionist - Viet, he was very enthusiastic and guided us everything we needed for the stay.

We stayed at MoonLight Tay Ho for three weeks and can highly recommend it. The location is fantastic—right between West Lake and Truc Bach Lake, in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood while still being very central. The Old Quarter is only about 2 km away, and the views over both lakes are wonderful. What really made the stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and service-oriented. A special thank you to Liem, Hoang Anh, and Viet, who were always there whenever I needed assistance, whether it was arranging a SIM card, getting cash, or simply providing advice and guidance about Hanoi. During the first half of my stay, I stayed in the Junior Suite with Terrace on the 9th floor. The rooftop garden is absolutely stunning and beautifully maintained—a peaceful green oasis in the middle of Hanoi. For the second half, I moved to the Garden View Suite on the 8th floor, which was an especially unique experience. Waking up next to a beautiful Zen garden and koi fish pond high above Hanoi was something truly special. The suite itself is enormous, with a luxurious loft-like atmosphere, beautiful decoration, and stylish, high-quality furniture. After three weeks, this really felt like a home in Hanoi. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. I would happily stay here again!

It’s in a great location of Tay Ho. Not in the hustle and bustle but still in Tay Ho. Beautiful view and awesome area to go for walks and bike rides without all the heavy traffic. The room I stayed in also has a Khoi pond which is so nice to come home to after a long day

20-25 minute walk to Old Quarter and other attractions. Quiet location. Good coffee shop next door to property.

Neither room in my apartment had any natural lighting.

I loved how Tony was so helpful and nice. I loved the view of the lake and the location next to 2 coffee shops.

The bed was a bit hard. Other than that, we loved it.

Wonderful location with many coffee shops nearby. Studio apartment has large screen TV, washing machine and cooking facilities. Everything was very clean .Alice, Liam and Tony were very helpful and made for a great stay.

The whole unit, it feels like home.

We stayed in the sauna room at Moonlight tay ho hotel. We were really surprised because it was even better then the pictures!! Checking in was easy and you even get 2 room keys. The room we had came with a sauna, steam bath and even a little terras with trees and plants everywhere. It was really nice. The people that work here are very nice too. Especially Alice who gave us a warm greeting and really helped us out with our cancelled flight. She is a life saver! Would definitely recommend the hotel!

The only thing is that the bath takes a while to get warm and sometimes the warm water isn't enough.

-WC sale (signalé mais personne n'est venu les laver !) et peu de papier toilette -pas de petit déjeuner -finitions du logement pas très bien fait et grossier -prise extérieure murale ne fonctionne pas -photo assez trompeuse (peut être pas volontaire), on pourrait croire que la chambre se situe au niveau du lac en rez-de-chaussée mais en fait pas du toute, elle se situe au 9ème étage ! -interrupteur de l'entrée qui se fait dans le couloir c'est-à-dire que quelqu'un de l'extérieur peut allumer la lumière et vous réveillez dans la nuit ! Pas logique du tout (d'ailleurs pour le reste des interrupteurs tout est fait n'importe comment on sait jamais quoi allume quoi) -logement mal isolé on entend les gens -salle de bain petite par rapport à la taille du logement (qui est démesuré et rempli avec énormément de meubles qui ne servent pas du tout au final) -étendoir à serviette au dessus des toilettes (pas très hygiénique !) Il faudrait le mettre ailleurs et il y a assez de place pour le faire -une seule fenêtre (baie vitré) au final pour tout l'appartement donc logement qui manque cruellement de luminosité -espaces privatifs extérieurs laissés à l'abandon (sales, abîmés...) -canapé électrique qui n'est pas branché et impossible de le brancher car il n'y a pas de prise à proximité! -luminaires muraux qui ne fonctionnaient pas Au final, assez déçu et surtout pour le prix élevé. J'ai choisi un autre hôtel pour la dernière nuit au même prix avec petit déj et un meilleur emplacement autour du petit lac d'Hanoï (vieux quartier). Sur les photos c'est beau et ça semble super, mais une fois dedans, on est déçu.

It as a great location on lake tay ho with walking distance to many locations. Internal master bedroom was nice and quiet. Great to have a washing machine. Awesome rooftop area

Rubbish removal and new towels was every second day, no clothes drying measures so we hung wet clothes throughout apartment

This accommodation is close to restaurants and is actually close to a large lake so there is plenty to see at night. Would choose it again. Be aware that you have to take a taxi to get to the old quarter, but since we are pensioners this was fine. Area is quiet and the accommodation was spacious for the price paid.

I had a wonderful stay at Moonlight during my trip to Hanoi. The service quality and customer care were excellent from start to finish. Liam, Alice, and Tony were super warm, professional, and attentive, making me feel welcome and well looked after.

Very friendly staff and receptionist.

The location was great and near lots of food and shops. We were able to walk or take a quick grab to the old quarter. It was nice to be near the lake and to have separate rooms for our family. The receptionists Alice, Liam, and Tony were very friendly and helpful and made our last few days in Hanoi very easy. We would definitely come back and stay here.

The staff was very polite and helpful especially Alice, Liam and Tony. They helped me to retrieve my glasses cover delivered by the grab driver. They were prompt to help whenever they were asked to do. All the best to them.

The room was very clean and quiet, and the bed was super comfy. Thee hotel is in a nice spot, not far from the old quarter by grab.

The place doesn't look anything like the pictures! Not clean, rooms are very small. There is a constant annoying sound somewhere through the night - ear plugs are essential. There is no proper window - you have some facility right in front of you, so no privacy at all. Very bad lightning in the room as well. Tricky to find.

The location and the room are pretty spacious. The only downside was try to take a room with a view, It would have made the stay even better

This property was a perfect location right on the lake with a great view and very nice staff.. Alice was the best she upgraded us to a bigger room because we had so many bags free of charge!

Excellent location on pagoda end of Westlake, 20 min walk to old quarter With amazing lake view, room 605 Staff were always available and super helpful in arranging rides and tours, thank you to Alice,Tony and Liam. Many shops, food and restaurants nearby. Overall outstanding value.

Everything was perfect. Great apartment, amazing views, and top-tier service. Huge shoutout to Alice for being so helpful! I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Hanoi.

We liked the quiet location near the lake, surrounded by lovely coffee shops and thrift stores. We also liked the balcony with our very own fish pond! Great view :) the room was very spacious and comfortable, and if you wanted to cook and eat at the apartment, there was ample space and equipment for that. We enjoyed the area and the quietness of the apartment the most. Great area to stay in after a busy few days in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff were friendly and helpful as well, thank you all!

There were quite a few things not working or broken, including light switches in the bedroom, something that looked like a heater lamp in the bathroom (although we didn't know what it was, and whenever we turned it on it made a strange beeping sound so we kept it off), and the kitchen fume hood. Also, the light switch for the lights in our hallway outside of our bathroom within our apartment was only accessible in the main hallway by the lifts! Meaning that at the end of the day, we needed to go outside the room to turn off our lights (this was often just as we were getting to bed and not wanting to go outside) so that was rather inconvenient. There was a massive glass wall looking out onto an internal garden outside the bedroom in the main hallway by the lifts, and although it was pretty to look at from our apartment, if you were walking around inside the apartment and someone was out by the lifts and looked round the corner - they could easily see you clearly! Not private at all. There were also quite a few tiles missing or loose on the balcony which made it difficult to walk on.

L’endroit est calme et propre. Emplacement proche des commerces et commodités sans le bruit et l’agitation du vieux quartier ! Idéal , en plus vue sur le lac avec table à manger depuis le rooftop. Merci à Alice qui nous a accueilli et nous a renseigné avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de sympathie.

Beautiful and peaceful location by the lake. Cafes and restaurants are right nearby. It's just a few minutes by taxi/Grab to Hanoi's Old Quarter. All the major sights are easily accessible from here. It's simply more pleasant than a hotel in the bustling Old Quarter.

Приветливый персонал. Чисто, уютно, комфортно. По запросу давали воду и чистые полотенца каждый день. Местоположение хорошее, рядом озеро. Недалеко можно покушать и купить еду в супермаркете.

Нет вида из окна. Вид в стену, для двухкомнатного семейного номера этого мало.

Beautiful and very large rooms with balcony.not the typical hotel more like a complete apartment😎. Nice view on the lake and for hanoi pretty quiet but you have shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep. 10min to the old quarter. Most amazing of the moonlight Tay ho is ALICE at the reception.! She is just amazing in costumer service with her warm hearted personality. She is very helpful and by the way very cute❤️

Great location, just by the lake. Very friendly welcome, even at 6.00am. Staff wonderful, those at the desk and those who cleaned the room. Room felt spacious. Good heating/air-conditioning. Slightly limited kitchen utensils, but that's a very minor issue

We booked an apartment for 3 people. The location was very nice with lake view and many cafes and restaurants nearby. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well maintained. The staffs are very nice, available 24/7 and very responsive and approachable through what’s app. I would recommend this place if you are visiting Hanoi and looking for a nice place under budget.

Loved our 2 bdrm apartment and that we were able to do laundry. Our family was very comfortable with our room. There was a delay in our check in and Alice at reception made sure to go the extra mile to help out and even got us a taxi to the train to compensate. Liam, Alice and Tony all were great hosts and helpful.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The view from the balcony was amazing. I would really recommend choosing the room with the balcony!! The room looks a bit better on the pictures than in real life but nothing major. The bathroom stinks. Overall a pleasant choice for those who appreciate to return to a quiet room after a busy day in the city.
