nothing

arrived and was informed our room broken, so they walked us over to sister hotel. Lower priced room, no window, no hot water, stinks. They said we not have window room even though they showed picture of our selection with window. When, a booking.com hotel allows such hotel to trick customer not only shameful for booking but hotel should not be allowed to use booking hotel.com. Really, sick of booking.com allowing such dishonest tactics. Breakfast free not too bad but service sucked. after long flight hotels know its easy to just break down customer from searching for new room. Location right in middle of red zone. Avoid this hotel or its sister hotel.

Big room

Very noisy

L'emplacement

5 ème étage sans ascenseur

Zentral

3 Stock ohne Lift, sehr kleines Zimmer

Chambre san fenêtre Intolérable ! Propreté douteuse

Location is great! Walking distance to Ben tanh market too

Carpet going up the stairs is misleading for the hotel.

Great sraff, cheap, super clean and super nice. I'll be back in lole 10 days. Can't wait to see you ❤️

....

The hotel is a comfortable place right next to Saigon's main nightclub street. I stayed there for three weeks, & it was convenient to where I wanted to go. Would stay there again! There is a craft brewery across the road, live music up the street, & some good bars. The hotel restaurant is across the road, & serves good meals.

Nice clean room and excellent staff. Very conveniently located close to restaurants and bars.

Very clean, excellent location. Quiet as well. Staff were delightful. Comfortable beds. Very good value for its low cost

The room was ok but very basic looking. Not a big fan of the shower being very close to the toilet. They would only provide very small bottles of shower gel. When I asked for more they only gave one more. They tried to give a reason why only one but due to language barrier I couldn't understand. The breakfast was tasty but it only consisted of one meal and one drink (not good if you need lots of caffeine in the morning). Much prefer a buffet. No views of the city. The staff were nice and I paid a little extra to check out at 6pm which was very helpful. The main reason to stay here is the location. It has many bars, restaurants and shops very close by.

Awesome stay, clean room, no bugs, professional and friendly staff. Good price, good food, overall excellent experience and highly recommend. Area is a bit loud but it's downtown Ho Chi Minh, so it cannot be avoided.

If budget is important The Rice Hotel is a good choice. Staff is great, food is good and room is clean and comfortable. It does need a face lift but considering all my 3 night stay was very good.

Good value

Posizione estremamente centrale, gentilezza dello staff e camera grande

Honestly if you’re looking for something inexpensive and right in the action here you go. The rice hotel is has everything you need for a great price. The room is roomy, bed is comfy, bathroom has hot water, and also the air conditioning works fine. It doesn’t have an elevator, the room is kinda dated, there’s no full length mirror and bathroom doesn’t have much light. If you want to live a bit like the locals this is the hotel for you.

It’s ok

Lovely place to stay and it was very central. That said, because it was so central to the nightlife you could also hear the street life until late. Overall I would recommend staying here but just be aware of the noise late at night.

The Fo e whites was very efficient accomodating and affordable for a large family of adults. We had 2 rooms and they managed to accommodate putting us on the same floor and let us check out late for absolutely nothing. A bit outdated but very clean and housekeeping everyday. They don’t have a lift but they will take your luggage up with you and this was no inconvenience with 5 large suitcases so don’t let it put you of. It’s right in the heart of everything and very convenient and safe for young adults to walk around at night. Also managed to get a piercing and a couple of small tattoos while visiting. Fantastic area to base yourself and Grab transport car/bikes are ridiculously cheap. I suggest while in Vietnam you also get yourself a local Esim(IPhone 12 and higher only) and for 10 days we laid 12 AUD which is so cheap and the reception in villages was amazing. We were originally data roaming internationally with service providers back home for ridiculous amount and swapped half way in as other kids got them and we had no reception and had to hotspot of their ESIM. The tour place basically next door to The Rice hotel will set up and supply them and also have fantastically priced tours. We had an amazing tour guide and a great time to Mekong Delta cruise. Enjoy your stay here as well worth it and would stay again.

Housekeeping daily and great customer service. Cheap and in a fantastic location for everything. Would highly recommend 😁

Good location if you want to be close to the Walking Street and shopping. I didn't try breakfast so I couldn't rate that. Room was small, but it was comfortable.

A nice place at a great location. Rooms are clean and staffs are helpful and friendly.

Staff was really helpful and large clean room. People have commented on the lack of elevator already (there is one for luggage). It is adjacent to a very busy, touristy street, crowded until late in the night. So if you are looking to sleep early, go somewhere else or bring ear plugs. As an FYI, breakfast is 50 meters away (no big deal) and takes ~30 minutes between ordering and eating so factor that in if you have a tour scheduled.

Be aware... NO ELEVATOR. Also... there are maybe three locations for this "hotel". We originally arrived at the one Google sent us to. But then we were directed to another building about 2 blocks away. Breakfast is served at a nearby restaurant (I think also operated by the hotel)... but is not available inside the hotel building, even though they do have a restaurant in the hotel.

Staff is very friendly and helpful

Lack of English speaking employees It said daily bottles of water free. Got free bottle only first day.

The staff was very helpful and I loved the convenience of 7-11’s and restaurants nearby.

Decent crash spot. However we have booked room with queen bed & twin and were placed in full bed & twin (3 adults). I ended up paying for additional room and the additional room was had Queen & twin. If we were given the second room at first, we would have not gotten another room. I tried to talk to the staff, but they didn’t want to resolve it.

Staff not capable communicate in English.

Nothing

Everything

Lack of communication skills.

Very clean

No elevator

Staff was nice and trying their best.

The hotel is only quiet relative to beging on the party Street. You will be able to call out the beats. The room was also smelly.

Stayed for 2 nights only , the location is very central easy to go around , easy access to taxi for airport transport. The place is okay with the price you are paying the staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great, will stay again if I visit vietnam again in the future .

The cost was good for the location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was no lift but other than that it’s very good.

The location is very convenient to popular places for just 10 minutes walk. There're a lot of bus routes passing by just outside the lane. I booked a few day tours, although it is not possible for the tour bus to pick me up in front of the hotel(bus is unable to come in due to the small lane), the alternative meeting points are both very close. My booking includes breakfast, which has Vietnamese and Western style choices, and they are all very delicious.

the room is usually quiet, but it is located beside the stairs. the stepping noise can be heard inside the room if someone is using the stairs. not happening very frequently, though.

The location was perfect, restaurants and bars everywhere as well as a convenience store right across the street. Despite the clubs a little further down the bui vien walking street, it was fairly quiet! A good nights sleep every night. The staff was very accommodating, and the breakfast was good. The room was very clean as well. Will be booking here again!

There is no elevator, thus walking up to the fourth floor can be a bit tiring but there is a lift for luggage!

Location

Not very clean

Everything.Perfect location.Very friendly efficient staff.Room was super clean.Very comfortable bed with the freshest whitest bed linen.Towels also super white. My room did not have a window which meant I slept very well...absolutely no noise from the outside world. What a gem in the centre of a bustling city!

Nothing!

Very conveniently located, older hotel right at the start of Bui Vien Walking street. very clean and neat room in older facility. No elevator, so prepare to get your steps in! Price is very reasonable with breakfast included. Staff is great! Very friendly and available to answer all questuions.

Great location, fantastic staff, clean and comfortable

Be aware there is no lift, but stairs are fine. Be also aware you do hear street noise despite other reviews especially bands but they finish at a reasonable hour for the CBD. No good for light sleepers but we found it fine.

Good breakfast included in a nearby restaurant

Difficulties to find the hôtel in a little lane taxi was unable to find it we have turnaround 10 times, then I was walking through littles lanes passing 3 times in front without seeing it...at the end somebody gave me the address...I was just in front

Rice hotel is very accessible around the city. A lot of restaurants nearby and nightlife. The room was clean and roomy. The only problem is theres no elevator for people only for luggages. Other than that, we were so happy during our stay.

Amazing stay very helpful and accommodating

I absolutely LOVED my stay at this hotel. ALL of the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Every time I would pass thru the lobby, the staff would ask me if there was anything I needed…every single time. It is a small older hotel that is similar to those around. The carpet on the stairs and hallways is a bit warn. But as soon as you enter your room, the bed sheets, comforter, pillows, and towels are extremely white and clean. You are 1/2 block away from Bui Vien Street, so of course you are going to hear music until late at night, that is just common sense. But that didn’t seem to bother me at all. The breakfast is served at an actual restaurant on the corner of a busy intersection about 1 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast is ordered off a menu and it’s nice to sit and people watch as you’re eating. I had my laundry done at a place about a minutes walk from the hotel. Also took a bus to a beach and that was only about a 5 minute walk to where I was picked up. The location is perfect. I normally don’t spend much time at all in hotel rooms, so it was perfect for me. I would absolutely stay there again. You just can’t beat the price.

Very helpful staff and clean rooms. We've also used the smallest room as a luggage storage during our 2 day trip to Cambodia.

Excellent

Excellent location

The location was great. The staff was immensely supportive. The room was very clean and breakfast was good. Overall the experience was fabulous.

Very good…

I liked the super cleanliness, comfort and tranquility. I also liked the excellent location and close to everything you need. The bathroom facilities were clean and complete. I also liked the friendly staff who work with great professionalism, especially Kent.

nothing

10/10 would come again friendly and safe

Good location. Nice hotel for the value. We even got upgrated room.

Walking distance to markets and Main Street. Our room was clean unlike our friends.

Our friends room smelt like cigarette smoke even though it was a no smoking room. Staff just sprayed air freshener to the room and said it was fixed which did not help. The Rice Hotel refused to refund when my friends did not want to stay in the room. Hallways are dingy and stink if smoke.

The staff is amazing and really helpful. We had a problem with the flight and we had to call the costumer service at midnight and they helped us with that. At check in they also upgrade us to a deluxe, a big room and clean. Breakfast was included in a nearby restaurant. It is really close to the most noisy road of Saigon, but in the room is fine, you don't hear anything.

There is no elevator, but there is a small one for the luggage so is fine.

I stayed in Deluxe Triple Room with 1 Bedroom, Non Smoking, City View. The room was spacious. Staffs were very professional, nice and helpful...

The staff was very helpful. And the place is very near to the main street

Clean and spacious room

Water pressure is very low and you have to climb up to the room.

Good arrangement of breakfast

No

Location, good breakfast, clean room.

Noise from Bui Vien street a night.

This hotel is perfect for a budget holiday.

It was all fine.

Everything! The location is just near everywhere. The staff are all kind and helpful. Plus they are very cheerful. The hotel is very clean. The food is so great. This is my very first travel abroad and the Rice Hotel made it extremely memorable and fun.

None

Very clean, comfortable beds, mini fridge with drinks provided (2 waters a day free then mini bar)

If you are young and enjoy the hustle and bustle of walking street i.ê the noise from the bars (very loud music all night) then it’s perfect otherwise sleeping is not easy. Maybe ask for a room on the alley side would be quieter.

Location

Friendly staff and the location.

Spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly and supportive staff.

Narrow stairway.

Staff were very kind, courteous, and helpful. No elevator. Steep stairs to go up & down. Not good for elderly. "Open" shower area; no curtains. Everything gets wet: bathroom floor and toilet. Lots of restaurants around the hotel area. Approx 1/2 mile walk to the market place.

Had to climb stair case not good for the bad knees. Sorry but service is great. Thank you.

Very helpful and friendly staff, very good breakfast, clean room
