we had a wonderful stay in this charming auberge nestled in nature. The hosts were incredibely friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. the rooms were cozy and the outdoor sauna and hot tubes outdoor were absolutely magical. it is a perfect spot to recharge.

Everything! The hosts are so friendly and accommodating, every detail was considered from bathrobes to beverages and snacks. The property is breathtaking, clean and modern. The menu for breakfast spares no options, delicious and ample. Our room was quiet, spacious, and so comfortable, I could go on but…

We stayed at Auberge Krön last weekend for a one-night birthday getaway for my partner, and it was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and there were so many thoughtful touches to make the celebration special — including a jar of homemade maple syrup (which was incredible). The atmosphere is serene and peaceful — ideal for unwinding, meditating, and simply connecting with each other. We loved the private spa time, which felt luxurious and relaxing. The views from the property are beautiful, and everything about the space invites calm. We also really appreciated the delicious homemade muffins in the fridge, the complementary snacks, and the absolutely amazing waffles in the morning. Every detail felt intentional and generous. Thank you, Auberge Krön, for such a memorable and rejuvenating experience. We can’t wait to come back!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel, beautifully perched on a hill overlooking the river and the Wakefield village. The location is absolutely perfect—peaceful and scenic, yet just a short walk from great restaurants, hiking trails, and the ski hill. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and had a cozy yet fresh feel. One of the highlights was the wood-burning sauna, which added a touch of relaxation to the experience. The dining room was thoughtfully equipped with a sink, fridge, and microwave, allowing guests to prepare their own meals if they wished. Breakfast was a delight—freshly made each morning by the friendly and accommodating owners, Anne and Luc. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The entire property is well-maintained, offering both comfort and tranquility. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is an excellent choice. I would definitely return!

Beautiful setting and a wonderful property with kind hosts. The breakfast and the view were both outstanding.

We enjoyed the sauna, the fireplace, the breakfast, the view, the hosts, and the list goes on.

The hosts Luc & Anne provided the best service we have ever had. They put customers needs on their top priorities. When they heard we need to be at the Vorlage skill hill by 8am they offered to prepare us the breakfast at an earlier time, before we even asked! The room is super clean. Beds are comfortable. The entire chalet is decorated for Christmas, very festive and cosy. We all had a great stay and felt like home. Also the cute little sauna overlooking the mountain is a must try. You won’t regret.

Environment-friendly---e.g. waste-free breakfast option since customers choose what they would like to eat instead of offering a buffet style. Reserved time slots for hot bath and sauna. Superb cottage vibe and amazing ambiance with its amazing structural wood features. Loved the spaciousness in the Kröne suite and the reading area where our breakfast was served. Last but not least -- the picturesque view from the balconies!

Would like a towel holder near the bathroom sink area for ease of wiping hands after washing instead of drip drip drip while heading towards the towel bar hanging beside the toilet from behind or having to step back, make way to close the door in order to use a towel that I hung behind the door. The lack of a shelf near the bathroom sink to put toiletries or a cosmetic bag was rather inconvenient.

The welcome is friendly and warm. The evening spa is awsome, alternating between a wood heated out door hot tub and a dry sauna with a sky view. And you get the spa area all to yourselves by signing in advance for your prefered hour. The views of the valley are spectacular! The interior of the building and common areas are beatifully finished and decorated. It's worth the climb up the hill, even if you do it on a bicycle like we did!

What an amazing space inside and out. Hard to capture in photos how beautiful and tranquil the location and home are. The hosts and hospitality are also faultless. I hope to visit again.

We arrived early to just have a look at the place and ask if we could check in early. The host Luc was very welcoming and accommodated us! The auberge is beautiful and very clean and everyone does the utmost to make sure everything is to your liking. The attention to detail is impressive! The view from the balcony is beautiful and we were lucky to have a clear night to watch the shooting stars of which there were 3!

Everything about the property is great. The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much, and I think this is just a personal preference than anything, is the cedar hot tub. The wood makes the water dark and leaves a film on your skin. It obviously washes off but it’s just a personal preference!

The hosts, Luc and Anne are wonderful people, very nice and friendly, attentive and respond very quickly to questions/needs before and during the stay. Breakfasts were delicious and diverse. They are well organized and pay attention to details. Their welcome was wonderful and puts guests at ease promptly. The view is spectacular!!!

It was raining and could not enjoy the beautiful terrace for meals!! The view from the dining/lounge area made up for it though.
