The Finch Beach Resort

Clean, newly decorated with lovely style, everything you would ever need, comfy beds, air conditioning, use of laundry, thoughtful and very responsive host, beach location, use of kayaks and paddle board- a great choice!

Nothing

Great stay was very comfortable and a nice visit

Gezellig ingericht en schoon.

Er was geluidsoverlast in de nacht van muziek uit de naaste omgeving.

We always like our stay at the Finch resort. It’s our fourth stay here now and we absolutely love it.

The snow lol

The cottage was very charming. We loved the retro decor and how spacious it was for my family of five.

There is nothing we didn’t like. I only wish now that it was available to book this summer.

I have never been in a cabin so incredibly accommodating. Almost everything is supplied in the cabin.

There is nothing I didn’t like.

Beautiful view

Just adorable and right on the beach. Pet friendly was a huge bonus. Clean and cute!

I loved that cottage. I will definitely go back.

I love the location, right on the beach and close to stores. It was clean. The staff were amazing very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had all we needed for a family weekend. We enjoyed the sauna too. And the laundry and play room were nice too but did not use it.

Close to the beach. Stocked with everything you think you might need

Only thing they forgot was a hair dryer.

Fabulous place to take a moment for us during a busy weekend for our daughters weekend Provincals tournament for softball. Coming back at the end of a long day at diamond to enjoy the beach and amenities was a true pleasure.

Loved the little cottages, need more outlets in bedrooms to plug devices in. Otherwise beautifully kept, appointed little spaces. We will definitely book there again!

Pratique, à 2 pas de la plage et hôtes super accommodants

It is a beautiful property and there was plenty of space and it was comfortable however most of the furniture was broken it wasn't very clean when checking in it was absolutely riddled with bugs the record player is broken

Walk to food and back via beach at sunset. Beach chairs were cleaner off. Plenty pillows.

Thought we would see the water- was it called cottage ON the beach?

Location was great

One of the beds the mattress was not comfortable the bedrooms were quite warm at night even with the portable air conditioner

Absolutely amazing stay! This property is so luxurious and I will absolutely be coming back!

Awesome location. I will be back with my family.

Had a great experience ..Staff was really nice and accomodating

We were looking for a comfortable pet friendly place to stay- we got amazing value 3 bedrooms, amazing cleanly ness and comfort. Everything we could have wanted in a great location. Looking forward to our next stay here.

We love the location. It’s our second stay here.

Nothing beats those sunsets. The kitchen is amazing. We made tiramisu and lasagna with the tools in the kitchen. Near by groceries are epic. Staff was amazing.

Such a nice change from a hotel room. Feels more comfortable and relaxing.

Parking is a bit tight and hard to negotiate the laneway. Wonderful that there was a coffee machine, coffee, filters and creamer...but no sugar. Decided not to make any.

It was very cute.

The parking was difficult to squeeze into the parking spot and get back out.

This was our second stay at The Fintch. We really liked the decor and the location. I would suggest that the couches be replaced or repaired. They have seen better days. However the cabin was well supplied and very clean. I recommend a stay at the Fintch!

Just amazing! Wow

Quaint accommodation right on Lake Nippissing. Great in the winter.

Nothing

We stayed in the birdie cabin. The cabin was well stocked and was very comfortable for 5 people. Instruction for the microwave would be helpful. We will definitely be back. Family Christmas.

J ai ADORÉ mon séjour! Tout était parfait!

Loved how cute it was, the theme, the retro vibes.

The pillows were a bit flat

Was a beautiful little spot right by the water. Had a little beach and a games room. It was a wonderful spot! Will definatley stay again.

Parking was tricky

Great location and not far from main area of North Bay

Wifi and location were great, cottage was clean, free access to the laundry room was a very positive surprise. Nothing negative to say about our stay - everything was just spot on!

The view was so beautiful

Nothing it was perfect 😍

Nice and affordable houses, relatively clean shower, looks cool and stylish.

Loud AC. Zero to few places where you can charge your devices.

Everything was on and above Beautiful and clean We had the cabin on the water beautiful sunsets

Our stay was absolutely amazing with no detail missed. From the accommodations to the beach being literally steps from your front door - there is nowhere else I would have chose to be than The Finch to relax + unwind on our cross country road trip 💫

It was a great place for a quiet and restful stay.

Easy check in

Lovely property with a stunning location. The lake view is fantastic. The cottage was well equipped and full of character. Clean and plenty of room. Will definitely return!

We stayed in the Birdie. Adorable little cabin! Had a 50's vibe with midcentury furniture. The couch and chairs could stand to be more comfortable, as they were definitely made for smaller people. Spouse and I are both shorter than 5'2" (157cm) and everything was perfectly sized for us. Our daughter is almost 5'7" (170cm) and most things were too short/small for her. The fireplace was perfect and really kept the place warm. The beds in the 2 of 3 rooms that we used were really comfortable, with plenty of pillows and clean linens. We did not have a view from the cabin, but we were so close to Lake Nippissing -- maybe 20 steps from door to beach; it was beautiful. Parking on the side of the cabin was sufficient to fit our rented full size SUV. The cabin is not wheelchair accessible, but that was not an issue for us, and the steps are minimal. The tub in the bathroom is a step up and in, the water was nice and hot, with great pressure, and the amenities were nice (and smelled so good!). You can even order home spa amenities to do a little self-pampering in room if you want. The drive to both downtown North Bay and the waterfront was maybe 10 minutes at most, there were grocery, convenience, and pharmacy stores close by, as well as a couple of banks (FYI there is no RBC in the area). Overall, the stay was great and we would definitely go back!

The cottage my mom and I were in (4) was super cute, cozy and well appointed. The beds were very comfy and overall everything was super clean. Communication from the host provided everything we needed to know to get settled. It was so lovely watching the sunset on the beach and enjoying a fire and some drinks with other guests. A few minor improvements we would suggest: extension cords by the beds as I wasn't able to reach an outlet to charge my phone; a full length mirror outside the bathroom so multiple people can get ready at once; and a bit of a closer look at the towels as we had some light makeup stains on one of ours. Overall though our experience was really great and we definitely would love to stay again!

My family and I had to book The Finch due to a flood in our kitchen. Staying at The Finch was quite perfect. The cottages were clean, stylish and quiet. Laundry machine on site was clutch. Waking up to beautiful sunsets on the water was like a dream. The staff, especially Holly was super responsive and helpful. Although the situation of not being home was terrible, The Finch made up for it :) I would highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The Finch is the only place I would rent in North Bay. Hotels don’t even compare.

Thank you so much. Felt like I left the country. Got to cook up a storm. Thank you!

Great space, clean, easy access, sauna was a nice touch

Short on cutlery and dishes, couch was a little uncomfortable

Beauty place

Excellent

Really appreciated the contactless check in. We were able to let ourselves in to a very clean and comfortable three bedroom cabin. Only two suggestions. One, provide extra blankets and two, get better window coverings.

Cottage 3 was a Very cute cabin had everything needed, 4 full beds looks of room for our family of 4. Cozy nice fireplace and lots of tv apps.. including tsn for sports. We were allowed to bring our pup and was very close to ice fishing on sunset beach.

When we went someone took up all 3 parking spots at the end which was supose to be extra parking.. so we ended up having to park on the ice so that we had enough parking.. we asked in advance how many sports and we’re told two, Complained about it but nothing was done.

We loved staying here, the kitchen had everything you needed, toiletries are a nice touch, shower was great, bed was comfortable. There could be some more hooks for hanging stuff, like in the bathroom for towels etc. It was a 5 min walk to 2 good restaurants, we decided on takeaway from the Indian place. It was pretty good and it hit the spot after a day of XC-Skiing. I imagine it must be nice in summer being right the lake and having a patio with a bbq etc. There was a lot of attention to detail and extras for you if you didn't bring your own, like coffee, popcorn etc. Sauna is an added bonus, you just need to let it really warm up since it was -25 out that night. Would stay here again if Im ever back in north bay.

the parking space is VERY tight and difficult to get in and out if you have a truck, Im talking a 10 point turn. If there are other vehicles there its not easy to come and go. The alternative parking isn't very convenient either so if you have a large or multiple vehicles you would want to consider that before getting there.

Absolutely amazing. No complaints. Everything was clean, worked, easy to understand and beautiful.

We loved this little cottage. It was easy to find. Parking was good for cottage #5 (it might be a little tight with larger vehicles at the other cottages). The amenities in the cottage we great. We hope to return again in 2024.

Beautiful Gem of the North!

Wonderful location. Great value for money. I loved the record player that was in the living room and the big gas fireplace. A very comfortable stay.

The parking spot at the end of a long laneway. Really nothing of concern. Great stay.

wonderful cottage and right on the water! We actually booked cottage 3, but were switched to cottage 2 before checkin because the fireplace wasnt working. We absolutely loved the cottage. The owners had lots of nice extras, like the laundry facilities that were stocked with detergents (scented and unscented) and softeners. There were extras in the kitchen like some spices, popcorn and even some pantry staples. The bathroom had lovely, organic and eco friendly soaps. There were games, a record player along with some records, a private and fully fenced patio and an unforgettable view. Will definitely be coming back here the next time we pass through North Bay. The only thing I will say is, if you have a larger vehicle, or more than one car---you would need to park in the hotel across the street. Parking is a wee tight. Other than that--place is a true gem

This is a superior accommodation that checks all the boxes! Beautiful inside and out, spacious, comfortable, quiet, and fully equipped with all the amenities you could want. The waterfront setting is just beautiful. You can stare at the lake from the living room, the spacious deck, or the beach right below. We sat by the outdoor fire in the evening watching the sunset, moonset and stars. This is a wonderful spot to stay for any reason, and very convenient to downtown North Bay parks, restaurants, & museums. Highly recommend 5+++stars!!!

I went for a girls trip and it was the best weekend I have ever had. The cottage is adorable, it is amazing for pictures and so cozy. The water was so calm and they provided us with canoes and kayaks to take advantage of this. Everyone else staying there was so kind. It was a great atmosphere.

Nothing at all.

3rd stay at the finch. This time we were lucky enough to book the Gordon cottage. I had brought a friend from out of town with me this trip, they were so impressed they’re already making plans to rebook next summer. So close to local shopping and necessities, but with the room service menu and cocktails from the restaurant about 100 steps away, we truly felt spoiled. Unmatched sunsets. Adorably appointed cottages with everything you need to make being away from home comfortable. Can’t wait for our 4th stay!

This is such a lovely cottage! The decor is simple and elegant, everything is comfortable and clean, the beach is beautiful. We had such a neat night with the fireplace and listening to records... I was so glad we found it.

If it's a cottage experience you're seeking, you really can't find much better. The property is on the lake, the beach is very nice and the shared decks/fire pit are in a great spot (right on the beach).

The facility nextdoor (Torbay Cottages) had outdoor lighting that basically made star-watching lakeside very difficult (light pollution), but that was about it.

Beach Unit nicely renovated

Not enough utensils and we had to organize them as they were all thrown in drawer Bbq full of grease and couldn't use it Dirty linens in bedroom closet
