The beach is fantastic. It is Sandy and clean. The owners take very good care of the.

We just didn’t like that our room was right beside the staircase so you could hear people coming up and down the stairs at all hours. It can’t be helped. It’s nothing that the owner has done. It is just the location of the room. We would prefer something different next time.

As with any older cabin style, the floors were squeaky in some high traffic areas and the room was not soundproof.

Did not like the fact that even having received confirmation of booking , I later got a call stating overbooked room , they offered another room but at a higher price .We took it anyway being late in the day to start looking elsewhere plus I was travelling to the destination at the time of the call. Was this a scam to get more money out of me ? Left a bad taste

The beds were very comfortable, always super important for me. Having a fridge and a microwave during our road trip we're a definite plus. The bathroom was obviously newly renovated. Very clean.

There were no USB ports and very few plugs. There is very little place to leave your toiletries in the bathroom.

The Inn is very clean and well maintained and the location is fantastic. Just steps away from the private beach. I liked that we could open the windows for fresth air. Good value for money.

Not a great choice of coffee e.g. no tea, and was not replenished for our second morning. A duvet would be a nice touch instead of the heavy comforter.

Older but very well maintained. Fronts onto the lake with its own beach and jetty. Cabins and rooms. Indian restaurant with great dosas is part of the establishment

A Journey North Since July 2025, I have been faithfully pouring my mind onto pages. Over three months of steady practice, I began to notice a pattern: my mind reveals itself in cycles, rising and falling with the rhythms of the day. One of those quiet cycles planted a seed. After our Muskoka cottage trip earlier this year, a thought stayed with me: the next overnight stay must be by a lake, where Theo can play in the water and I can sit with presence. I didn’t chase it. I let it rest in the background, unforced. Then, one evening, scrolling through Expedia, the image of the Sunset Inn in North Bay caught me off guard. A private beach, a fireplace in the room —it seemed almost designed for the vision I carried. For some reason, I simply trusted: this will work out. On Saturday, September 27, the day unfolded in alignment with that trust. We left Cambridge around 11 a.m., driving north into corridors of fall color. By the time we arrived at the Sunset Inn, presence was already thick in the air. At the reception, a female welcomed warmly while helping two senior citizens who also reserved six rooms for July 2026. Her calm presence reassured me that the reviews I had read were true. Theo’s joy sealed the moment. He rushed straight to the private beach, the water level perfect for his fearless play. Watching him splash and laugh, I felt the fulfillment of the entire journey.

The room is clean and the bathroom is more space. I like the air-condition that is easier to use

The hotel was right on the water where we had access to a private beach and dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We ate at the Indian restaurant next door and it was fabulous.

The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly upon check-in, and provided restaurant suggestions. While the hotel is in a quiet area a bit outside downtown, everything in downtown North Bay is a short drive away. The room was nice and clean. The private beach was a nice bonus. And the price was very reasonable. No complaints.

Was kept clean and relatively up to date. Rooms quite large. Very nice local with its own little beach. Price is competitive to the chain motels but more intimate.

No breakfast facilities. A credit towards a local breakfast restaurant would have made this an easier choice against the chain hotels.

Les propriétaires sont génial et généreux ! L'emplacement est parfait. C'est très beau et propre. Respectueux. Accès au lac. Très beau paysage. Il y a même un dvd et à la réception il nous prêtes des films et il y en a plusieurs.

Rien. Je crois que cest beaucoup en demande alors réserver à l'avance.
