Beautiful and cosy glamping tent with a nice outside area. The bed was very comfy.
The toilets/bathrooms at the Trading Post are not the cleanest.
Best glamping facilities ever!
Pretty far from Banff
Location
Walk in family TeePee is false advertising, unless you are under 4ft tall! My wife fell trying to exit and I did going in. The beds reminded me of a bad summer camp trip. We checked out early and paid a premium for replacement accommodations.
I stayed in the teepee the beds were comfortable and they provided light and heater for the night. Everything was great.
Location
The person who checked us in was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was a blonde woman wearing glasses. Whenever we asked simple questions, she responded with an attitude and made us feel uncomfortable. We expected a much more welcoming and respectful experience, especially during check-in. We paid for 2 nights and left in 1
I like the glamping tent compotable, beds, couches, tables, chairs are clean nice and neat, facilities is nice and quiet after 10
Private washroom is not pleasant the water from toilet almost reached your ass. A bit off they should try it first. our light on the porch we can barely see our thing outside, it's a bit dark. Because the light won't turned on everything.

Wonderful
It’s a beautiful place with amazing views. Lots of walking paths and things to do in the Kananaskis valley.
The trappers tent was mediocre and our heater didn’t work so we were freezing all night. Our fault for not bringing more blankets!

the glamping hut was generously furnished and perfectly clean
.
Unfortunately we spent only one night in the glamping, I would have spent more! Completely surrounded by the woods, the structure was clean and super nice. External washrooms (camping ones, showers included) were quite clean too. Definitely recommended!
The ONLY good thing about this place are their staff who are helpful and accommodating.
We booked the Trapper's Tent x2 and paid almost $600 for 1 night. For the price, IT IS NOT WORTH IT. I mean for 1 site, you're only getting 3 decent beds + heater and would still have to bring your own bedding; there's also no lights provided on each site. Just an additional information, if you booked the Trapper's Tent / Tippis and not the glamping tents, you would have to go to the Trading Post (their main area) to access the washroom / showers (though this information was provided, I just don't think it seemed fair for their pricing). Be mindful as well that the place is near the highway so you would hear cars passing by overnight - which kind of defeats the purpose of camping / getting away from the noise :(. I believe you can spend your money somewhere else better! :)
nichts
This whole area is incredible, worth the trip !!!
Not enough showers..
Ligging
Assoriment winkeltje beperkt
The sites are spaced enough that you don't really hear or see neighbours. The inside of the glamping tents is very clean and functionnal. The river close by is very nice with seatings to enjoy the mountain views. We are already planning to another couple of nights there!
The pit toilets are horrible... but it's not worst than anywhere else. It's the reality of those. I guess i just don't like those
Lovely glamping tent, great location with respect to geographical region. Cosy bedding, warm tent, great facilities and camp shop, super warm showers with good water pressure.
It’s quite noisy at night time. Our glamping tent was one of the last ones nearest the entry and exit roads to the site as well as the main highway (tent 79) and the system is one way, there feels like a constant stream of traffic coming and going at all hours as people drive up to the toilet block rather than walk, or leave in the dead of night to get scenic spots for sunrise. That being said it didn’t spoil it for us at all, we had a lovely stay. But if you’re looking for really quiet backcountry feels, you won’t get it if you’re positioned where we were, some of the other tents may very well be in a quieter location and it’s worth enquiring where you’ll be at booking if that’s a concern. As I mentioned before it didn’t impact our stay and we had a lovely time. Would stay again.
Emplacement pas trop loin des parcs
Tente assez peu confortable..
Had a ladies camp trip, we loved the sauna with a viiew of the mountains.
Organization, attention to details , customer service and location
Washrooms smell bad but they are clean most of the times
Nice scenery.
This is not a 3 star hotel. This is a very typical camp ground for tent or tent-like facilities. I booked for a family tipi. What i found was a small tent with 4 cots. There were no bed sheets, no light at all. Nothing except a kerosene stove. I mean, literally there are 4 cots and 1 kerosene stove which does not work well. Nothing else. If you are not ready for these, equipped with portable lights, enough sleeping bags, and everything else you need to survive, I do not recommend this facility for your vacation. No laundries, no dish washing station. Showers and Restrooms with water is only one at the center with limited space. This shouldn't be introduced as an alternative for a hotel or even a glamping site. I visited other glamping sites before but no other places are like this. And you should arrive before 4 pm to check in. At least before 9 pm if you'd like to see any staffs. If not, the store (and office) will be shut, and there will be no help at all in this dark place. I begged to buy some woods for firepit, and the staff who was closing the store looked so annoyed by me. "LITERRALLY WE ARE CLOSED" several times she insisted. I felt guilty. she sold me some woods at last, but I couldn't be brave enough to buy kindlings which resulted in failed ignition. I paid $170 per night for this. How dumb was i? It should have had been priced at around $30, just like other campsites. The price misled me it would be a nice glamping site. This is not at all. 3 star campsite? No one ever heard something like it. The scenery was beautiful, though. Be careful, I recommend this place only for campers who are fully ready to do everything from the scratch.
Not having to set up a tent.
To much noise from hiway
The trees and distance between each site. Site size was great! The tipi experience.
The bathrooms were too far away as per the online statement. The store didn’t have ready made food to buy ex. Sandwiches for the customers who didn’t bring proper food and don’t want to buy cooking sticks. There were no matches in the tipi to start the heater and we could not figure it out.
The Glamping tent is very cozy. The bed is extremely nice .... lots of hooks, charging for your phone, good lighting. Really comfortable stay.
The bathroom / shower facilities. Bit old and too small with only 3 showers, had to wait in line. .
it was so cozy and quiet
the space heater didn’t work very well so it was really cold
Clean and comfortable and beautiful location
What a beautiful part of the country! Lovely hikes nearby and not far from Banff/Canmore for all the activities there. A fantastic budget option with everything you need available to buy/rent on site.
Good fun in the cabin
Need more shower
Loved the location, and the family glamping tent we had
They need to upgrade their bathrooms and have more - maybe another washroom/shower house because it is always beyond jammed, and gets gross very quickly
Sundance is a wonderful location for stays short and long. We tent camp a lot as a family and Sundance has the best of both worlds. We stayed in Trappers tent which meant we could halve the amount of stuff we usually need but still felt like we were on an outdoor adventure. The Trading Post is a great thing to have on-site and the shower facilities were a great option. We will definately be back.
Genuinely nothing to dislike.
Location of the campsite. The amenities included at the campground as well. The scenery. The mountains. The friendly and helpful staff.
Women’s showers always felt dirty, the floor was dirty but I guess that’s what it’s like when your camping outdoors and sharing showers. Not too bad, I’m just a germaphobe. However, it wasn’t a dealbreaker and in the end we got clean.
We had an issue with the heater, but the staff helped us right away. We also called around midnight because someone nearby was chopping wood. The staff promptly spoke with them and resolved the noise issue. Thanks to their quick response, we were able to get at least two hours of sleep before our early morning hike. Without their intervention, there's no telling how long the chopping would have continued.
We had a wonderful stay at Sundance by Basecamp. The tent was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax. The staff were friendly and everything is well organized. We especially enjoyed the mountain views and the unique glamping experience.
The only thing I would suggest is having more washroom and shower facilities available. Since there is only one public washroom and shower area, it can get busy. Also, the toilets are open pit-style, which may not be comfortable for everyone because of the odor and the visibility of the toilet opening. Having more facilities or improving the toilet design would make the experience more comfortable for guests.
Super nice staff members and a lovely place for glamping and enjoying nature.

Bon emplacement, concept Tipi attrayant
Great experience and concept. Really enjoyed the sports equipment available as well.
When I booked, I was hoping to get 3 trappers tents together and on the river. We really only had one tent on the river.
We were able to have a mountain camping experience
We stayed in the tipi which was a fun experience. They provide a lantern and heater so the tipi mostly stays warm, maybe a little chilly if the temperature drops at night. The beds in the tipi were comfortable and you could hire warm bedding. The site is around 30 minutes from Canmore and 1 hour from Banff, the road there was great for wildlife spotting. A good experience to be close to nature.
Extra charges for bedding for the tipi, towels, campfire equipment (price by night). The shared washrooms are basic and small (few showers and toilets) and were busy most of the time, they also have cleaning hours in the evening which lead to more queues. The ladies washroom only had 2 working showers which meant waiting >30 mins for showers at peak times. There was no hairdryer.
What a cute, lovely place to camp! We just stayed one night in a tipi on our way home from vacation but would absolutely make plans for a fun camping trip in the future!
There was nothing I didn't like
It was nice to have some time away from the digital world . And to be in nature. The tents are far enough apart it feels private The flush toilets and shower block were clean and well looked after
Some of the other guests did not treat the compost toilets well and left all sorts of mess 🤢💩
The property was well maintained and the staff were Elbert friendly and informative whenever we had questions
Nothing, the stay was so perfect
very clean!

Way too expensive. Poor value! Inflexible cancellation policies.
I did like the access to food and utilities in the staff building. The hot water in the washroom.
Could it be better to fix the 3rd shower in the women's bathroom? My wife has to wait 1 hour in line to take a shower.
Nice space
Too far to washrooms
We upgraded at the last minute and had the family glamping tent, and it was really very beautiful, very clean, very warm. Absolutely stunning.
Unfortunately our private toilet was in dire need of emptying. Other people's waste was approx 30cm from the top of the toilet, and it made for a very uncomfortable experience. We had paid for the upgrade in order to have a private toilet, and the building itself was new and clean, but the human waste so close to the top of the toilet was quite disgusting. We ended up using the camp toilet block and that was incredibly tired looking, and in need of cleaning also. Not very pleasant. The tent, although stunning, also had an incredibly strong odour upon arrival that we couldn't clear out through opening windows and doors. We had hoped with the upgrade, ($350pn), that it may have included a kettle, a lighter/matches, or perhaps a garbage bag to collect rubbish, but everything still had to be rented or bought. So for the money we paid for the upgrade, considering our toilet was too gross to use, we didn't think it was value for money, and wished we hadn't upgraded, as it was an extra $150 on top of what we had already paid.
The staff was excellent, super helpful and with a great attitude. Beds were very comfortable
We stayed in the glamping tent. The staff were very friendly and the tent was nicely located in the forest. The area is beautiful and Banff is also not too far away. The bed was very comfortable and warm, when it was 5°C outside.
There are not enough showers, it got very busy in the morning. It was also quite expensive.
Good tipis clean and comfortable
Its not their fault, we were caught in a bad weather
Views!!
The bag used to carry the bedding would be easier to carry with straps!
Fabulous location Great tents Clean washrooms
Value for money wasn’t really there. Yes we knew it was going to be shared washrooms, but for the price they charge just 3 bathing cubicles wouldn’t be enough.
Very nice camping site in the Kananaskis provincial parc, with a glamping tent with great facilities and comfort. Available and welcoming staff.
Could benefit from a bit more of food choice to be bought in the trading post (for non-organized people like us :-)
Family cabin was amazing. We loved the fire and the high-end bedding. Path to the river was beautiful.
Had to buy matches for the fire. Should have included in cabin for use of fire place
The family glamping tent was beyond what I could have expected. We had changing weather so got to enjoy the outdoor fire pit for smores and the indoor one to sit by at night. The campground is really pretty with beautiful views of the mountains over the river. Would absolutely come back!
Not a complaint, More of a suggestion- a dry area in the bathrooms for changing could be really helpful.

The showers were kind of terrible. Yuk. And not to be a princess but the toilet paper was harsh!
Super Glamping Zelt, wunderschöner Platz
The camp ground is nice. The teepee was of a good size..
Rental of bedding is expensive per day. It should have been an amount per stay and not per day
The family glamping tent was super comfortable and clean! A perfect place to stay after a day of hiking!
The bathrooms/showers could get a little busy, but the family glamping site has their own outhouse.
Beautifully maintained
Warm glamping tent Confortable bed Beautiful location
Curfew was not respected (loud music at night or neighbors speaking out loud late at night). Some days, the bathroom was dirty. I’m not sure if it was from the large families or some missed cleaning time.
Everything.

Stayed in a tipi. Accommodation was very comfortable
The glamping tent was really nice. The bed was super comfortable. I also liked the rural setting, you sleep in the middle of the forest, next to a river.
Cleanliness, privacy, and amenities were exceptional. Staff was too!
Nothing
Each site offers great privacy, and the spacing between campsites is excellent. The campsite and outhouse were both very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and one of them even went around offering assistance with the kerosene heater. We loved our stay and will definitely book here again.
Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like about our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we had a wonderful experience overall.
When i booked. Website was showing very nice picture, but there were no facilities as shown
Heating
Location, staff, glamping tent
Showers a bit further but wasn't big of a deal at the end.
We stayed here for 3 nights during a long weekend and paid $700 for a Trapper’s tent accommodation (family of four with two small children). Unfortunately, our experience did not match the price or expectations. The first major issue was the heating system and policy. The first night was extremely cold, and the heater provided was very small and produced a smoky smell. We informed staff the next day and they replaced it with a slightly larger oil heater. We were told it would last around 10 hours, and we were also told that someone would come later in the evening to refill it due to the cold weather. However, no one came. When we called around 10 PM requesting a refill, we were told that refills are only done once per day and that they cannot refill anymore! This was frustrating because we had been told something different earlier. When we explained the situation, the response we received felt dismissive, as if we were not being believed. After asking to speak with a manager, we were told the heater could be refilled but with a $50 charge, which felt unreasonable given the circumstances. Eventually, after a stressful conversation, the heater was refilled, but the experience significantly affected our stay. The central washroom/shower building was closed twice per day for approximately 2.5 hours each time for cleaning. While cleanliness is appreciated, extended closures like this are difficult for guests, especially families. We also found that many basic items were priced unusually high. For example, renting a small empty water tank was $5 per night, and renting a $30 camp chair was $10 per night! Even items in the small store appeared significantly overpriced compared to regular retail pricing. This place may work for some guests, but for us, the combination of cold nights, disrespectful behavior, unclear policies, and high extra fees made it hard to enjoy the trip.

It is unforgettable place for my family. Cozy, peaceful, comfortable. We will visit again in the future.
We can't cook inside, but we already know that. So not a big deal.
Very clean, comfortable, and beautiful tents. It was warm and cozy at night. The area is lovely, with lots of trees and good distance between neighboring tents. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The shower and toilet with a sink are a bit far from the tent, but it’s not a big problem.
