Very welcoming,light and spacious , great location. Comfortable bed, good bathroom amenities, good laundry amenities.

The bedroom lacked a unit of drawers to store underwear and tee shirts etc. Although there was a very good cooker , we were unable to self cater ( as we’d planned ) because of a lack of fundamental kitchen equipment we needed.

Our apartment was on the back side of the building and the bedroom windows looked down on “trash alley”. Loud sounds of garbage trucks, bottles being thrown, and people talking in early morning hours disrupted our sleep. Couch is due for an update/replacement.

Kitchen is well-equipped.

Suite 301 could be pleasant if it were properly cleaned and the sofa replaced, but despite the substantial cleaning fee, we found sticky floors, unchanged bedding, filthy windows and thick dust that we could literally draw in with a finger. The sofa was so old, stained and grimy that I was afraid to sit on it, the carpet was badly worn, and both bedrooms overlooked a garbage area—this was certainly not “luxury.” We booked specifically because the property advertised itself as dog-friendly, only to learn afterward that our well-behaved dog could not be left alone, while customer service failed to return our calls.

Perfect location, excellent view, historic house with beautiful stone walls and revealed ceiling beams, minimalistic clean-cut interior with everything you need. Simply lovely. We will be back for sure:)

The only downside is no parking – and the suggested parking being probably the most expensive in town. Luckily, we do know the area and figured out something more convenient.

We had a very pleasant stay. The residence was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to other places and attractions we wanted to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay here again. Thank you for making our visit so comfortable!

The only small thing for us was that the pillows were a little too high. It would be nice to have pillows in different heights or firmness levels to choose from. We also wished there had been an extra blanket available for the sofa. Other than that, everything was very comfortable and pleasant.

Rumore costante dal ristorante con cassa proprio sotto la nostra finestra, struttura sporca, staff che non ha accolto la mia richiesta di una sistemazione silenziosa sostenendo di non averla mai ricevuta da booking, ma era disponibile a spostarmi previo pagamento di ulteriori costi, e poi non ha mai risposto a booking alla cui assistenza ho chiesto di intervenire. Lampada vicino al letto rotta e a rischio di caduta. Il condizionamento ha smesso di funzionare dopo 2 giorni nonostante l intervento del tecnico, Abbiamo sofferto il caldo anche per la impossibilità di aprire le finestre. Durante il nostro soggiorno sono entrate persone non autorizzate, munite di codice di accesso, poi dileguatesi quando ho gridato. Direi che l attenzione al cliente è un aspetto su cui c'è molto da lavorare.

Ottima posizione. Stanze molto belle e grandi dotate di tutto il necessario per cucinare e non solo. Consigliato!

The location was great, we could walk to old town, the living room/kitchen area was very nice and spacious, fun view of river and restaurants/people walking. We even could see bangee jump going from window. The elevator was old but charming and bonus with suitcases. Nespresso and snacks were really good treat.

The parking structure is very tight (difficult to park if you drive big car) and the event was going on at pier, so it took us 15minutes to find the parking spot. Middle Room lamp did not work (#302). Windows do not have the screen.

The best thing about this apartment was probably the location. The old port and the river are right outside the front door and it was so convenient being so close to so many of the activities we wanted to do on this trip. It was also really spacious and easily fit our family of four. The beds were solid, nice and comfy, with good pillows. Finally, the bathroom was great, with a nice modern shower and enough hooks for the towels.

The view out the living room windows was amazing but marred a bit by the windows being dirty. The bedroom windows were also way less scenic and looked out over an alleyway with ongoing construction. We tried opening the windows the first night and the bedroom filled with the smell of garbage so we had to keep them shut. The AC worked fine so this didn't end up being a huge issue for us but it could bother someone. Finally, the couch is a bit smushed and the kitchen could use more supplies (mostly paper towels and a strainer).

The location and communication from the property management was great. You are in the heart of the old port which was nice. Also the communication with management was quick and easy

While it did look like the pictures, it was missing a certain level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Baseboards were quite dirty, dead plants, worn down couch and carpet, and generally a little dusty/ dirty walls. The apartment can use a refresh

Beautiful, spacious clean suite! Loved it and had a wonderful view.

It was incredibly noisy. My suite overlooked the restaurants and it didn’t quiet down until 12:30 AM or so. There is absolutely no sound proofing.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. It was spacious and well laid out. The bathroom was spotless and had a great shower. The bed was large and comfortable. The location was excellent. The staff were incredibly responsive. Good WiFi and a large TV.

For a relatively expensive apartment, we did not like the late check-out fee. We were not prepared to pay it. Cigarette butts left by staff from a neighbouring restaurant need to be regularly cleared from the apartment entrance. We were told that the problem is in hand.

If you’re tall, you must watch your head descending the stairs. Easy to hit your head on the ceiling on the way down from the apartment.

The couch was very dirty. We draped a blanket over it. And there was smell to the hallways that seeped in a bit… I think because of the kitchens in the restaurants underneath.

Que pidieran tantos documentos de identificación (licencia de conducir, documento de identificación, pasaporte) + fotos con cada documento. Nos preocupa tener que dar tanta información y la piden un día antes para hacer el check in. Si hubiéremos sabido desde el principio que nos pedirían todo esto, no lo hubiésemos tomado.

l'appartement attribué avait une seule salle de bain pour deux chambres, et le lavabo était bouché. L'équipe d'entretien est intervenue de suite, mais le problème n'a pas été complétement résolu pendant notre sejour. Les fenêtres sont bloquées pour sécurité (un peu basses). La ventilation est dans l'armoire à côté du lit (pas bruyant au point d'être gênante, mais un peu embêtant) Le matin tôt la ligne ferroviaire le long du quai est exploitée (passages entre 5h et 7h environ).

Très bel appartement, très propre, confortable. Il est bien équipé. Je ne trouve absolument rien à reprocher à cet appartement. Tout était parfait 👍

The loft was huge and well supplied.Little touch of sweets left in the kitchen was lovely. Felt secure with keypad entry. Lovely large Tv. Washing machine and dryer very welcome and effective.Dishwasher was another positive touch.Felt like a little bit of Luxury.Quirky design nods to the past of the location.

Other residents were noisy till late the first night for several Hours on and off. Train noise at all hours took a bit of getting used to.

The location is the absolute best, right in the heart of Old Montreal. Close to restaurants, coffee shops and Shops. The building has a really cool charm. Renovated building with some classic old charm. The proximity to many tourist spots was great. We managed to fit in so many things just simply due to location. The only thing I would have appreciated, was a few more dishes, so we didn't have to Launder after every meal and drink, and there was only 3 barstools for at the kitchen counter, but the room is for 4 people. Someone was always standing 😅

When searching for this place, I input 2 bathroom requirements, and this listing came up. When we arrived, there was only 1 bathroom. But when you look at the listing all by itself, it states 1 bathroom. So that's my bad for not properly navigating the website. It's unfortunate that when you look at Maison Place Royale it shows images from all their rooms, and it's difficult to differentiate between which amenities go with which room. But maybe if they changed the decor from room to room, it would be easier to tell 🤷🏻‍♀️

Historic building with plenty of character in an unbeatable location. Nice views from the windows.

Across from the property, trains pass 2 or 3 times between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The rumbling of the cars was hardly noticeable but the irregular very loud shrieking of the wheels was awful. Kitchen appliances were great but kitchen utensils were just the bare minimum. Okay for a few days but not a long stay. Living room sofa needs an upgrade.

Only very minor recommendation: Add Swedish dishcloths for doing dishes. Provide more Nespresso pods up front with information about the flavour/strengths.

Amazing service and one of the most amazing customer service I have ever had. They answer you rapidly and the location, the property. The rooms are so clean and have that old Montreal vibe to it. When we travel this is the place I choose before anywhere else. It is a safe environment quiet,clean and they love and accept our dogs

Asked for a broom or vacume as we were staying a week. This was not provided and the answer for the request for either was I was told for an extra charge a cleaning service would be provided . The bottom sheets didn’t fit the beds properly and would come off in the night- asked for larger flat sheets and this was provided. No where to hand coats and enough blank walls to put a coat rack in - the weather was wet so you think a coat hanger in the entrance would be normal to have. Advertises as Luxury - absolutely not - On a main steet and no double glazing on windows .

No curtain in the first bedroom

The place itself is in excellent location. Quiet, clean comfortable. The view is amazing from our unit. All the amenities are in good condition and the communication with the staff is on time but no person to person encounter it’s only thru text and email.

There’s no luggage drop off when we had a late checked out and we would still have enough time to explore the city while waiting for our flight at 7pm. So we have to wait in the airport just to kill the time instead of exploring Montreal.

The Maison Place Royale was in a perfect location, very walkable to old montréal and not too far from the transit and great food. The place also felt very inviting and safe with a main code and room code. Great help through email even though management is remote, everything was smooth when needed.

Although there were new sheets, towels and paper products we felt that the floor of the place could’ve been a little cleaner. Besides that everything was perfect.

Wonderful place to stay in a lovely neighbourhood.

This was an overall great place to stay. The location was perfect in old montreal, the apartment was nice and had everything I could need, and the people running it were friendly and helpful.

The only downside is that there was a fire alarm test on the day we left so we had to carry our very heavy luggage 😵

We really enjoyed our stay. It was ideal for what we required & great location. It actually snowed whilst we was there & the foot path was clear outside. It was easy to access coffee shops / restaurants & even walking around Montreal itself.

Unfortunately the sound of the construction / rubbish collection was extremely early so would wake us all very early.

I liked how spacious the apartment was. I loved having access to the washer and dryer and the apartment was incredibly clean when I arrived. The location is lovely. Despite there being many restaurants on the street below the apartment was nice and quiet.

Upon arrival the sofa in the living room had a few holes. The fabric/sofa may need replacing. It did not fit in with how well the rest of the apartment was maintained. Late checkout is quite pricey, and even when I did pay it the cleaner showed up at the early check-out time and tried to access the apartment while I was still getting ready and had 2 more hours in the apartment. There needs to be better communication between the booking staff and cleaners. I was quite taken aback when someone tried to enter the apartment while I was half naked, it left a bit of a bad taste in the last few hours of my stay.

The location was perfect. However, coming by car is not recommended. Parking was extremely difficult and expensive.

We loved the space, it was big and had perfect facilities. Having a washer and dryer was a big yes for us!

Beautifully renovated and comfortable place to stay in great location with prompt responsive and courteous staff

Pillows bit too thick, although some prefer that. Perhaps also provide thinner ones. Fan for bathroom in the closet near the entrance was a bit loud and although closing the closet doors reduced the volume it still hummed audibly in the rooms. But we got used to it. Those issues didn’t prevent us loving the place.
