Reviewed May 14, 2026Very unsatisfactory level of cleanliness - Dirty sheet on the sofabed, detritus with what appeared to be food and bug particles on the sheet. Dirty mop and broom with dust pan taking the majority of thespace in the only closet. I did not feel comfortable hanging my clean clothes in it. I had a very reasonable concern my clothing would become dirty or stained by the used cleaning tools and products taking up the closet space. Additionally, the host communication was subpar- poor explaination of key collection and entrance procedures. I was not sent an email explaining procedures. The entire process was confusing and was the most frustrating of any booking I have experienced. I was very unhappy with this booking and will NOT stay here again ( despite the good location) nor will I recommend the unit to anyone.

The property hasn’t been looked after. We found an earlier review from months before and all the faults we saw were detailed in this earlier review. Broken window catches, a cracked window, skirting boards missing, holes in the walls, a tv remote not working and broken flooring strips. We understand things get damaged, but seeing these broken things listed months before and no attempt made to fix them, seemed like the management don’t care.

Needs a re fresh, cupboard shelves were dusty, hole in one of the doors and a few cracked mugs to use. Could do with new blinds. The air conditioning was not great, it was stuck at 28 degrees in the one bed room, irrespective of what temperature you tried to set it to, so that was a little uncomfortable. The balcony door needs oiling, you could not open or close it. It's a shame as this has the potential to be amazing. Overall the location and view made up for it. Cleanliness can be improved - towels and bedsheets are only washed in the apartment’s washing machine. Towels from previous stay were still inside dryer when I arrived. So they have a damp smell. Kitchen utensils like pots and pans need replacing. Some reviewers already note that curtains are broken/ not wide enough to shade sunlight. The buildings around York Street look like they are all Airbnbs, with many people coming in and out, even with a concierge security at the front desk.
