The bathroom didn’t have a door, we heard from others staying there that their bathroom didn’t have a door either. Elevators could use an upgrade

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Si tratta di un piccolo albergo al confine tra la zona dei grattaceli e i quartieri più popolari di little Italy e little Portugal. La posizione è ottima se si vogliono visitare queste zone un po' meno turistiche anche se la sera, soprattutto nelle strade limitrofe, ci sono soggetti- magari soltanto all'apparenza- non molto raccomandabili!
L'aria condizionata era molto rumorosa. Siamo riusciti a dormire senza problemi perché abbiamo il sonno pesante ma se qualcuno ha problemi con i rumori potrebbe non passare una notte molto serena. In generale a Toronto i prezzi sono molto alti, ma devo dire che 200 euro a notte per una stanza in questa zona e con questi servizi mi è sembrato un po' tanto!

Street noise. No coffee maker in the room. But the location was so good I'll definitely stay again.

Shower taps corroded and took a long time to turn it on, poor condition. They told us it was air conditioned and it did not work at all.Very hot and humid, could not sleep.

The water pressure from the rain head shower was awesome :) The staff is very friendly and accommodating- we were able to get an early check in. This was also one of the few hotels that was reasonably priced making it a great value and someplace I would definitely return to!
One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it had a restaurant. I was informed at the time of check in that due to a private event, we would not have access to it for breakfast. A minor inconvenience and there are many nearby places to get a good breakfast.

Pas de petit-déjeuner. Le lit est placé au milieu de la chambre, ce qui n’est pas très pratique. De plus, la porte des toilettes ne se ferme pas correctement. L’éclairage de la chambre est également insuffisant.

Pas de petit-déjeuner. Pas de place pour poser la valise et poser quelques vêtements. Mauvais rapport qualité-prix. Batiment assez vieillot. Contraint d'utiliser la sortie de secours (sans ascenseur) pour accéder à la chambre (3ème étage) car la réception était réservée pour un mariage.

We couldn't change the channels on the TV and kept knocking out shins on the corners of the bed frame.

It is a shame there is no breakfast on site or tea and coffee facilities in the room. They provide free coffee in the lobby but by the time you are down you may as well go out for breakfast.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026We loved this hotel. In the heart of China Town close to many wonderful areas, Queen St, Kensington market to name a few. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining room was closed for a private function. So we were unable to eat there. We were able to go to Peter Pans Bistro. Just two blocks away. There are many choices of fine dinning in this area. There are many options to park and not super expensive. The Street cars are right in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around the city. The room was quiet and had a great bathroom. The bed was comfortable. We will use this hotel again.

Жахливий номер. Каркас ліжка дуже незручний - можна пошкодити ноги. На стінах знизу непомита пліснява. Жахлива вентиляція, торохтить страшно голосно, її важко відключили. Неможливо було ввімкнути кондиціонер, бо тоді знову ввімкнувся шум вентканалу. Це просто жах!

-entrance is ridiculous! Stairs down into a weird room. No accessibility whatsoever. God forbid if you have luggage! - focus was purely on the wedding event - did not care AT ALL about the other guests - when wedding was on the other guests’ were not allowed to use the main door or elevator! We had to climb 6 flights of stairs. - although they told us there was a wedding event at the hotel, there is no way the other guests should have been shunned! - we should have at the very least been given a discount!!

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026The location was fantastic! Just off Queen St. W, close to Kensington markets and a short street car ride to Union Station. The bathroom has been updated and the shower was lovely.
The furnishings and carpet seem a little rundown. There was a wedding happening the night I was there and the restaurant was not open as a result. The check in desk for the hotel is awkwardly located at the far side of the restaurant, so I had to walk through the assembling wedding guests with my luggage in order to check in. I then had to access the hotel via a side door and 3 flights of stairs when coming and going that evening.

The room was quite shabby with old carpets that were torn/cut in places and had a mark where an iron had been left on the carpet. The lighting was awful. There is no main light in the bedroom so it is dark and quite dangerous navigating the room in the dark when coming back at night. The bathroom lights also weren't great. There is no door on the bathroom which is odd and and means you lack privacy. It wouldn't have been great if I was sharing a room. There are no plug sockets near the bed. It wasn't an issue because I ended up coming back earlier than expected, but if you come back after about 1am there may not be anyone in the reception area to let you in. I was told to call the hotel if that happened which is not ideal if you don't have a Canadian phone and would mean waiting in the cold (or snow!) for a while.
