Reviewed May 14, 2026The unit has a Sea View and relatively close to the beach, so you can hear the sea in the background which is very therapeutic. The car was parked behind secure gates and it's very easy to get to your room. The place is quiet during the day and at night which allows for a peaceful rest that we were looking for. All the restaurants are also in walking distance from the Lodge.
The access to the unit and car park is at the back of the property and I first had to drive to the main gate to see the notice on there. This could have been shared on a SMS or WhatsApp message on the morning of check-in. There was no communication before check-in which we got used to from other locations. The kitchenette is very basic, and you can basically just warm food and make coffee / tea. You have to go to one of the restaurants close by for breakfast / lunch & supper.

We only stayed for a night but would stay again. It was very centrally located near all the restaurants and bars plus a short walk to the beach!

Nachdem wir im Dorf gesehen haben, dass das Hotel verkauft wird, war uns auch klar weshalb die Besitzer sich keine Mühe mehr geben. Es war sehr unpersönlich, das Zimmer wurde nur gegen Aufpreis geputzt und frische Handtücher gab es auch keine (wir waren 3 Nächte da) Das Zimmer war nicht sauber geputzt & es war sehr feucht. Es gleicht einem Airbnb und ist weit weg von einer Lodge.

The location was also a very short walk from the common (3 minutes or so). Will definitely be staying here again next time I visit Wilderness.

Reviewed Feb 22, 2025Lovely hotel in a great location, short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Wayne and Glenda made us very welcome and were very helpful, giving us recommendations of places to visit and restaurants. Our room was lovely, bright and spacious with sea view.
The room had a kitchenette with sink, fridge but only a microwave which is fine for reheating but not ideal for cooking - bought provisions to cook that weren’t suitable for microwave cooking. Not a real negative but guests should be aware.
