No spoon for mixing coffee and rea with. Only 1 towel when booked for 2 people. Didn't feel safe.
I would advise that no human being stay in this property, I wouldn't even let my dog stay here. Very dirty and smelly. Appeared to be an asylum hotel in all honesty. Very unhelpful staff, disgusting rooms with stains everywhere. Completely mis-represented in the pictures and description. Absolutely no parking available most of the time. Avoid at all costs.
My flight was delayed so I didn't get there until around 7pm. The door was locked, nobody answered by knocking on door or several phone calls. My cousin had been trying to contact them for days before to see if we could check-in later, again no answer. Do Not try to even start a booking for this place. 0/10
When I arrived, the front door was locked, there was no-one on the desk inside and it looked abandoned. A mobile number to call on the door for checkin, called it, left a message. Another number was supposed to be the hotel number but when I called it, it said the number was not recognised. A third mobile number on the door so I called that one, message said the voicemail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. The paperwork clearly says the front desk is manned from 10am to 10pm - it was not. I eventually found a customer service number for Expedia. I called them and they tried to get hold of the hotel, I was on hold for ages. Eventually they said they'd put me through to the relocation team who would find me somewhere to stay instead. When I got through to them, they said they had to speak to the hotel before they could relocate me. More hold time while they tried to call the hotel. Then when they came back to me, I could hear them but they said they couldn't hear me. They gave me three warnings that if I didn't speak they would cut the call. I was shouting in the phone & could hear all the noise in the background but they said they couldn't hear me so they cut the call. I called customer services again - same sequence of activity, on hold, through to relocations, cut me off. Called again and this time told them I wanted a refund, waiting for this to be processed, they have to wait 72 hours. Still waiting and I have a ticket raised. Found somewhere else to stay.
Good location, but very poor service. I wasn’t given check-in details and had to wait outside for over an hour until another guest let me in. There was no staff on duty at any point, despite the hotel claiming to have limited reception staff. No WiFi, and my messages in an effort to resolve this were ignored. Very disappointing stay.
This was one of the worst hotels in which I have stayed in recent years. The room was dirty, there was no television, no WiFi, no chair, nowhere to put clothes that could not be hung on hangers. The only way to turn the light on or off was the switch by the door. Very poor sound insulation as well, with the hotel on a main road. No staff on site, check in by mobile phone, no person to speak to once inside. I will never consider staying here again.
Check in was via a mobile number on a hand written note taped to the front door. A code for an external key safe was given, which enabled me to unlock the front door. My room key was behind an unmanned desk and I was directed to my room by the same mobile telephone conversation. Different! The bathroom had a shower, but the switch was outside was difficult to reach for anyone under 5'9". There was no shower gel and the toilet roll was almost empty. There was a cup holder for tooth brush, but no cup. There were two towels, a bath towel and a hand towel that was as rough as sandpaper. The "wardrobe" was a pole consisting of three coat hangers and a trouser hanger. The woodwork was shabby and dirty. The bed was made, but the room wasn't in a state for occupation. On the second night, of a two night stay, the fire alarm was activated, and as I and the other guests assembled outside a gentleman who may have been the owner attempted to reset the alarm. Conversations with the other guests confirmed that a number of them were less than complementary about the quality of the rooms and service provided. This hotel is being operated at arms length. There does not appear to be an adequate number of staff to run a hotel effectively. I will never use this hotel again and would advise others to steer clear of this establishment.
The hotel was dirty, dirty marks everywhere, carpets didn’t look clean. Room mirror was filthy. The towels in my hotel room were very damp. The Wi-Fi never works and the bed was really uncomfortable. It is a cheap stay but it still falls way short basic requirements. There was no one on front desk either to help with anything, it’s very strange.
Dont bother staying here, disgusting
It was good for the money and very convenient location.
No so good. No customer services and the place is run down not up to the standard as stated.
Nobody on site at check in, phoned number and got instructions. Building is tired and not very comfy.
Communication was pathetic., couldn’t get no Wi-Fi, couldn’t get through to anyone., nobody cleans the room.yes it was cheap but terrible stay.
Couldn’t get into my room and no receptionist. Trying to get refund. I had stay somewhere else.
Didnt see a single member of staff. Front door was locked upon arrival, rung the doorbell, tried the two different numbers on the door and the one on their website, no answer. 10 minutes another guest let us in the door as they left. A list of names and room numbers were scribbled on a piece of paper on reception. We took ourselves to our room which was unlocked with the key inside. Room was VERY basic, dated and in need of some TLC. A lady returned my call about 15 minutes later, the person on the other end of the phone answered with "yes"... I said pardon, she said "yes". It was only because i recongnised the number that I said we were tryung to check in but someone else let us in and weve found our room. She aort of apologised and sais she was in the shower... During check in hours? On checkout we left the keys in the box on the reception guest, again no one was about.
Value for money
Room comfortable, unfortunately the room key did not have the entrance key attached which required assisted admission on return to the Hotel. The bathroom extractor fan worked but no light. Also no reading lamp available.
Arrived at hotel no staff. Lady also checking in called number displayed 15mins later member of staff arrived. Taken to my room which was in poor state. Tv not working no wifi curtains coming off curtain pole
The presentation was poor. The booking was an emergency family member in intensive care. The presentation was so bad I did not stay.
Blood on the pillow, poo stains on the towel, no one to help out with these. Bed was so uncomfortable and only got a few hours sleep. Won’t be coming back
I didn’t like the busy road there is a loose drain when I car go over it it bangs
This is not a hotel. Upon arrival there was nobody present just a phone number on a locked door. The woman who answered my phone call claimed no knowledge of my name nor my hotels.com booking reference (even though hotels.com had collected payment and issued a booking reference). I had to book/pay for a different hotel. Hotels.com offer no means to address this fraud. It appears to be a scam.
No one to help check in. Told get the key fro a lock.
The net curtains looked like a cat had been climbing through them the towel felt like a piece of card .the wall had a lovely stain too. It took forever to gain access I had to make about 15 calls before I eventually got through. Then when I finally got in the internet was not working properly and I got no apology just told must be the weather???? It was not windy or rainy not even that cold to be honest I'd not bother again this isn't budget it's a mess the bedding was clean but quietly paper thin I'd give it A big miss there are better places at a better price
Not a hotel, not a guest house or B&B, just a rundown place with rooms to let... Potential customers of this hotel should consider carefully whether or not to reside at this rundown, unclean and unwelcoming accommodation despite its good location close to the station and the city centre. On approach to the front door of the ‘hotel’ it was apparent that I had made an awful choice of a place to stay for the night given the broken tiles, dirty windows and the locked entrance door. When the lady finally answered the door, it then took her ages to locate my booking and finally check me in. The corridors leading to the room had stained carpets and an awful smell. The double room was dreadful, the bed was pushed into the corner, had no bedside cabinet, the bed was dressed with old, worn out linen with thin duvet and flat pillows, however, it was the ancient, clapped out mattress meant that sleep was difficult and uncomfortable. There was Wi-Fi yet it was useless, the TV though new was missing most of the free channels. The window had no view as it had obscured glass. As for the en-suite bathroom this was so unclean I felt very uncomfortable using it, there were layers of scum and mould throughout together with cracked tiles everywhere. Noise was a constant issue, mainly from the loud plumbing and other guests in the rooms above. This ‘hotel’ offered no food or drink offering, not even breakfast. So, how the proprietors can call this a hotel is beyond me.
Nobody to greet us keys in room All windows open very cold. Tv had been ripped off the wall and not replaced rubbish in bin from previous guest
Room was warm and comfortable. Very clean. Could have done with a mat for shower.
Budget but okay
States reception open 10am to 10pm. This is a lie. Stood out in cold for 10 mins as no one there. Another guest let us in. Called numerous times to be told key in room. Then told my fault they didn’t tell me in advance. Bed was old and very uncomfortable. Bathroom fan and water pipes from other rooms was horrendously noisy ALL night. Room was clean shower tiny only one set of towels which were damp. No one available at all.
Simple comfortable location to stay at.
Was difficult to get into property as they keep the door locked and no staff were ever on-site during our stay. Once we managed to get into our room (by phoning numbers posted on the doors multiple times) our stay was fine. The room was spacious, but twin mattress in our room had a significant sag in the middle that made getting comfortable a challenge. We were given 2 towels for 3 people. Location was very convenient. Easy walking to train station, centre of town, and historic buildings.
No issues room was basic clean . Shower and toilet spotless very quiet Walking distance to station and city centre
Budget hotel, you get what you paid for. Not for me, I’d rather pay a little more to be comfortable. Old and smelly!
spacious very comfortable room. Shower a bit cramped but easy to work. Convenient for trains and buses.
As I expected for the price in an excellent location clean and comfy
The phone number on thier website doesn't work. They didn't respond to either of my two email enquiries. When we arrived there was no one on reception to let us in and we had to call a mobile number that was stuck to the front door with poor instructions as to what to do if no one was in. When calling both mobile numbers neither of them were answered and we were only able to get in because a fellow guest let us in. The room was good and was quiet at night with the only disruption being that of the hotel owner talking loudly on the phone in the middle of the night.
This hotel was very basic but comfortable. No one was there to serve you and the reception had no receptionist. The room itself was clean, comfortable and safe with a good en suite shower.

nnnnnnnn
No running water in shower, wouldnt turn on, plug socket faulty wouldnt charge phone, kepting blipping on and off, outside very dirty, no one would answer phone calls and no one at reception, cleaner had to let me in, no remote for tv,
When I arrived at the hotel, the outside looked rundown and unwelcoming. I waited until almost 2pm and rang the front doorbell, but no one answered, so I went for a short walk and returned to try the doorbell again. There was still no reply when I rang so I called a phone number posted on the front door and left a message on an answer machine. I went for another short walk and on my return I was greeted by a member of the hotel staff. I was asked to pay the fee for my stay, but when I offered my debit card, was told that the hotel would only accept cash, so I then had to find a cash machine. I was given a choice of 2 rooms. The first was large and had a bathroom along a hallway, but had no tv. The second room was small, but had a tv and a shower room which had no curtains or door, which resulted in light and noise seeping into the bedroom. The hall up to the bedroom and the bedroom itself smelt musty. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable, but as I was so tired I did manage to sleep. I was woken early by the noise of traffic on the road outside and light coming into the bedroom from the shower room window. There was no washroom door or curtain on the washroom windowThere was a kettle, cup and tea, coffee etc but no teaspoon. There was no tv remote, so I had to go downstairs to the reception area to ask for one. There was a part toilet roll on the holder, used soap in a container in the shower cubicle and water left in the kettle. Dirty marks and dust on carpet & surfaces.

Never could get my room no body would answer the phone or call me back DO NOT RENT A ROOM FROM THEM !!!!
Tv was broken, screen all cracked, no phone chargers, not enough toilet paper, small lamp broken, stuffed in a drawer. Pillows passed under a steam roller. Ad stated resturant, but zero food available at anytime. Not enough parking available. Other hotels in street, allow longterm parking with large ticket hotel gives you to stick in car. Hotel says we do not do. Yeah they do not do, but the rest do. I stayed at this hotel because i was going to arrive late. But great i can get meal. So i booked on false info. Booked for two nights, room not cleaned for second night, so toilet paper not replenished. Will never ever stay in such a such a hotel ever again. No staff at check out to demand a big discount
Unable to gain entry to property. When somebody eventually answered the phone and let me in from the rain, they were unable to accept card payment so I left and booked elsewhere.
This hotel was lovely, staff really friendly on check in, card machine wasn’t working so had to pay cash( no problem) everything clean and well looked after.
Basic hotel, needs some improvements with maintenance issues, slight damp issue in room we stayed in...no heating in bathroom so a little chilly in there. The lady herself was great when asked for extra towel and cup as only 1 in there for double room and was very helpful with parking. No contact number though all numbers are incorrect on here and websites so not able to contact at all
