Elessa Hotel

Hotel was clean and beautiful! The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and the views were spectacular. Staff was incredible and on our wedding day they were so helpful, which took the stress away. I couldn’t ask for better place to spend our wedding week and we were also given a complimentary floating breakfast 🤍 food was great, we had good service from the restaurant one evening and everything was fresh and delicious! So if you haven’t booked yet, don’t hesitate.

I would like to sincerely thank the hotel and the entire team for an absolutely amazing stay! I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Bruna, the receptionist, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed. She always greeted me with a smile and made me feel truly welcome. A special thank you to the hotel manager as well — such an amazing, thoughtful and considerate person. His kindness and attention to detail really made our stay even more special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone reading this review. Don’t hesitate to book it! The quality is excellent, the price is very reasonable, the location is fantastic, and honestly — the hotel is even better in person than it looks in the pictures! I booked a room with a hot jacuzzi, but honestly expected it to be warmer than 25°C. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great during my stay, so I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Nevertheless, the hotel is amazing, and I will definitely come back!

Credo che la camera che mi è stata assegnata, pur bella e comoda, non sia corrisposta a quella della mia prenotazione. Nella mia camera l'accesso alla jacuzzi, posta sul terrazzo della stanza, presentava un accesso estremamente difficoltoso.

The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room and all other areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. We also appreciated the fact that a bottle of water was replenished daily after housekeeping. The infinity pool is beautiful and offers a stunning view, and we also enjoyed the wonderful view from the apartment where we stayed.

We came to Santorini for our wedding and to celebrate this special time. Unfortunately, the room did not have a proper, tall wardrobe where a wedding dress could be safely hung. There were only hangers and a small recess in the wall, which was not large enough for a long wedding dress. We were also surprised that the hotel did not offer even a small gesture to acknowledge such a special occasion, especially as the hotel had been informed in advance that we were travelling there for our wedding. We travel extensively and have always appreciated the thoughtful touches that hotels often provide to make special moments even more memorable. We are not referring to anything expensive or extravagant - even a small surprise or kind gesture can make guests feel special, create lasting memories and encourage them to return. Unfortunately, we felt that these personal touches were missing. The service, particularly during breakfast, was disappointing and far below the standard expected from a five-star hotel. The waitress responsible for the breakfast service often appeared inattentive. We had to wait for a menu even when she was standing nearby and looking at her phone. After receiving the menu, we sometimes had to approach the bar ourselves to place an order, as she did not come to the table. In the evenings, the hotel restaurant was often chaotic. There were many outside guests, and the staff seemed unable to keep up with the demand. We had to wait a long time to receive a menu, for our food to arrive, and later to pay the bill.

Amazing place, feels like heaven! So soo clean, AMAZING views! Very friendly people and amazing food. Best hotel we have ever stayed at especially to relax!!

L’architettura era veramente bellissima

Ci è stato detto chiaramente al check-in che non era consentito fumare all’interno della struttura, ad eccezione del balcone privato della propria camera. Purtroppo, però, la realtà è stata ben diversa: praticamente tutti fumavano continuamente a bordo piscina e persino sulla terrazza dove veniva servita la colazione. La cosa che mi ha sorpreso maggiormente è stata vedere i camerieri fornire direttamente i posacenere ai vari fumatori, nonostante il divieto. Un secondo aspetto negativo riguarda la temperatura dell’acqua. Quella della piscina era davvero troppo fredda, al punto che era praticamente impossibile rimanere in acqua per più di cinque minuti. Anche la piscina riscaldata privata della nostra camera aveva un’acqua decisamente troppo fredda per poterla utilizzare comodamente, soprattutto di notte.

The hotel is beautiful and located in a quiet village with views overlooking the island. There is a buffet breakfast with hot options such as pancakes and eggs available.

The music beside the infinity pool and lounge area was too loud and took away from the tranquility of the natural surroundings. Other than that, our stay was perfect

Absolument tout !

The location is great, just a few minutes to Pygros by walk. The ladies in the reception were always cheerful and took care of all of our requests. We loved our plunge pool.

I was in Santorini many times. I like it there, but nothing surprised me that much like Elessa. I simply have to say, I enjoyed it much and hopefuly comming back again soon. Location in Pyrgos is perfect, veiw from the pool is amazing and stuff there is very kind. They made my stay wonderful. Cannot describe it why but somehow the place and the people made me feel really comfortable there and enjoy every moment. Also the kitchen is pretty fine and everything we eat there was perfect. And the apartments are very nicely designed in Santorini style and very confortable. Restaurant has plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the view. Just in the morning is hard to find shadow there. Thank to all Elessa team for care. I believe we see soon again.

I am missing gym there, but I can understand that there is no place to build it. So instead of gym excercising I used to swim a lot in very nice and big enough infinity pool with magnifician view. Apartments are amazing except of two things - Santorini style means that you have bed to sleep in upper floor so if you wake up during the night to go to toilet, be very patient to wake up enough not to fall from stairs. Second disrupting thing in rooms are speedy blinking light of fire-alerter on the ceiling located directly in front of bad and light in aircondition (I used to cover them with pillow and blanket). If you are sensitive for light during the night, take the mask with you :). But that is all. Nothing more.

Our stay at Elessa Hotel was truly exceptional and honestly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We were very kindly upgraded to a beautiful larger 2 bedroom villa, which was such a wonderful surprise and made the beginning of our holiday incredibly special. Every single member of staff we met was warm and friendly throughout our stay. Our accommodation was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Everything worked exactly as it should, and the whole hotel is designed and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. The views are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. Breakfast was excellent. In addition to a very good buffet, you can order freshly prepared dishes from the breakfast menu, which made every morning feel a little special. We also received wonderful recommendations from the reception, including an amazing boat trip that turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday. I would especially recommend Elessa to anyone who values peace and quiet, cleanliness, beautiful surroundings and personal service. It feels luxurious without being formal or uncomfortable. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and welcoming. The location in Pyrgos was also perfect for us. Pyrgos is a small, peaceful and incredibly beautiful village, very different in atmosphere from the busier parts of Santorini. There are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as a couple of mini markets. The village itself is lovely to explore in the evenings. There is also a bus stop very close to the hotel, making it easy to travel to Fira and explore the rest of the island without a car. We found Pyrgos to be an ideal base: peaceful when you want to relax, but still very easy to get around from. Thank you to the entire Elessa team for making our stay so special ❤️

One very small suggestion: we spent a lot of time enjoying our private pool and terrace and an umbrella or some other form of shade on the private terrace would make it absolutely perfect. We loved the private outdoor space so much that we would have happily spent even more time there. This is genuinely a very small suggestion for a hotel that otherwise exceeded our expectations in every possible way 😊

Sehr angenehme Farben. Zimmer sehr geschmackvoll und neu. Toller Sonnenaufgang direkt vor dem Zimmer. Schöner Pool. Sonne bis ca 18:30 im August. Restaurant sehr gut am Abend. Rezeption sehr bemüht um jeden Wunsch. Zu Fuß rauf nach Pyrgos in 5 Minuten für den Sonnenuntergang. Nicht überlaufenes Dörfchen.

Frühstückstische zu wenig im Schatten. Da muss man zum Herumrücken anfangen.

Hotel jest cudowny, idealny na spokojny wypoczynek we dwoje. Jest idealną bazą w wypadową do zwiedzania wyspy. Niesamowite widoki, zarówno z basenu głównego, jak i z pokoju. Pokoje nowoczesne, bardzo czyste, codziennie sprzątane. Obsługa była bardzo pomocna - dali nam bardzo dużo wskazówek co do pobytu na Santorini. Codziennie wieczorem robili nam rezerwacje w wybranej przez nas restauracji, dzięki czemu dostawaliśmy najlepsze stoliki z pięknymi widokami.

Location stunning, village of pyrgos is picturesque and charming, breathtaking views and a lovely selection of restaurants on your doorstep. Room with jacuzzi was wonderful, jacuzzi initially a bit cool but this was sorted. Main infinity pool stunning.

Nothing I didn’t like as such. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel did not give anything complementary, not even small amount of chocolates or bottle of local wine. This was disappointing, considering it is expensive hotel and going that little step further for guests is a nice touch. The à la carte breakfast is really good, however was disappointed with the cold buffet, lacked fruit choice and no platters of melon, pineapple etc. Pastry choice limited. Staff inconsistent at breakfast.

L’emplacement, la vue de l’extérieur, la vue des chambres que nous avons occupées ainsi que la propreté des lieux , le petit déjeuner très varié … Mon mari et moi avons occupés trois différentes suites ( avec piscines )pendant notre séjour , les deux dernières étaient magnifiques avec vue sur une partie de la ville et sur la mer Egée . Je crois bien que c’est le plus bel hôtel que nous ayons fait à ce jour pour ce type de destination ! ❤️

The staff were absolutely brilliant & couldn't do enough got you. The hotel was spotless, the room was exceptional & the breakfast was delicious, Just a short walk to the town centre & easy to access everything via taxi.

It is a beautiful property with spacious rooms and nice amenities including restaurant and pool. The view is terrific and the heated pool is great to have in the room. The staff is very enthusiastic and the hotel manager Maria went out of her way to help us and make us feel comfortable.

Some minor inconveniences but the staff was quick to address them.

Frühstück war sehr lecker und Personal hat sich sehr bemüht, sehr nett und freundlich. Atemberaubende Aussichten und gute Lage. Genug Parkplätze , direkt vor dem Apartment.

Wir hatten die Comfort Suite ganz oben , es war sehr schön aber man muss wissen dass auf der andere Straßenseite befindet sich eine Schule und die Kids spielen gerne draußen.

We had a fabulous 10 night stay at Elessa. Our experience was perfect from start to finish, from the warming welcome when we arrived to when we checked out. The team were very helpful with giving us recommendations and helping with booking excursions and making restaurant reservations. They were always at hand if we needed anything, which is something we were grateful for as it was our first time visiting Santorini. The facilities and view at the hotel were fantastic, it was like a postcard. The team could not have done anything differently, their hospitality was flawless and we really appreciated their efforts and charm. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who is involved with the hotel! We will be back :)

Nous tenions à vous remercier chaleureusement pour l’excellent séjour que nous venons de passer au sein de votre hôtel, Elessa. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la qualité de l’accueil et la disponibilité de toute votre équipe (Maria, Nathalie, Yanis et sa femme, les serveurs, les chefs en cuisine, femmes de ménage et pisciniste), qui a été aux petits soins tout au long de notre séjour. Leur écoute, leur professionnalisme et leur attention aux détails ont largement contribué à rendre notre expérience des plus agréables. L’hôtel bénéficie également d’un emplacement idéal, parfaitement situé, offrant un cadre exceptionnel entre ciel, mer et terre. C’est un véritable lieu de ressourcement, propice au repos et à la détente (à 3' à pieds du centre du village, 10' en quad de Fira, 15' en quad de l'aéroport, 30' en quad de Oia). Nous avons également été très satisfaits par la qualité des prestations proposées : des services haut de gamme, complets et parfaitement en adéquation avec la description faite. Tout est conforme, voire au-delà de nos attentes, tant en termes de confort que de commodités (chambres, équipements, petit dej, parking, wifi ...). En résumé, il s’agit d’un établissement que nous recommandons sans hésitation, tant pour la qualité de ses services que pour son positionnement et son cadre unique

Si nous devions relever un point, il s’agirait de la présence de quelques mouches et moucherons morts près des fenêtres. Toutefois, étant situés en pleine nature, à proximité de la montagne, cela nous semble tout à fait normal. Concernant la piscine, elle a mis un peu de temps à chauffer, ce qui nous a empêchés d’en profiter pleinement. Cependant, lors de périodes plus chaudes, elle doit sans doute être parfaitement agréable à température ambiante. Il s’agit vraiment de détails mineurs qui n’ont pas impacté la qualité globale de notre séjour.

the staff was so amazing, the room was even better than on the pictures, the hotelpool was stunning, i first wasnt sure about the private pool being heated but it turned out to be so enjoyable we used to read in the pool in the morning. Maria is the kindest and most accommodating receptionist i have ever met!

Excellent service, personnel jeune, sympathique et attentionné. Qualité des chambres et très bon petit déjeuner. Vue imprenable. Service personnalisé (location quad ou diner avec le poisson grillé pêché du jour!). Directeur à l'écoute et attitude positive.

Musique un peu trop forte autour de la piscine

The hotel is so lovely! Beautiful accomodation, amazing breakfast - we loved it! The pool is realy big, and has great view, it was not that crowded. The guys that are serving the breakfast are so nice and polite, the owner of hotel and his wife also amazing people. The hot tub in our room was also great, the bed is comfortable - so we loved the stay here and would come again !

Everything was good, but you have to have a car to get there definitely and also maybe the lights in bathroom could have been more better.

All the staff were very professional, informative and helpful. Lots of recommendations within walking distance for dinner which was lovely. The room and hotel pool were exceptional. The food we had at the hotel was also lovely by the pool and breakfast.

The staff at Elessa were exceptional. Maria at the front desk was incredibly attentive from the moment we booked our stay up until we left. Our server at the restaurant was incredibly timely, kind, and attentive. He remembered how we took out coffee each day! All around a fantastic get-away. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get away and relax in a beautiful area.

My only suggestion would be to have more water available in the room.

Прекрасный уютный отель на горе примерно в центре острова. Внимательный вежливый персонал. Мария всегда рада помочь. По нашей просьбе получили поздний чек аут. Завтрак по меню выше всяких похвал на уровне лучших ресторанов острова.У нас была машина поэтому до всех достопримечательностей добирались без проблем. В номере бассейн с водой 28 градусов поэтому даже в октябре купаться в нем было комфортно.

The views were amazing, decor modern stylish, pool a dream and our suite with hot tub icing on the cake. Staff make this hotel really welcoming and polite. Maria especially offering recommendations, her knowledge of the island was so helpful.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti a metà settembre. La camera è ancora meglio delle foto: ampia, con una meravigliosa vista mare e con piscina esterna privata con acqua sempre riscaldata. C’è da precisare che la posizione dell’hotel permette di vedere l’alba sul mare, non il tramonto. L’accoglienza è stata impeccabile: Maria è stata perfetta con noi. Ci ha dedicato tutto il tempo a noi necessario per farci accomodare nella reception e per darci svariati consigli sull’isola, sui ristoranti, sui beach club e molto altro (tramite Elessa abbiamo prenotato sia la gita in catamarano, sia svariati ristoranti). Eravamo in anticipo sul check-in, quindi ci siamo potuti godere un bel bagno nella piscina comune dell’hotel e un ottimo pranzo al loro ristorante. La camera poi ci è stata data comunque in anticipo rispetto all’orario prestabilito. Pulizia giornaliera, kit di benvenuto (utile ma forse si può rendere più completo) e acqua e caffè riforniti giornalmente in modo gratuito. Il check-out ci è stato gentilmente posticipato di un’ora e siamo potuti rimanere in piscina per tutto il giorno, dato che il nostro volo era in tarda serata. Tutto lo staff impeccabile ma un ringraziamento speciale a Maria e Lefteris: fantastici! Un hotel ricco di servizi, comunicazione costante e cura dei dettagli, estremamente consigliato!
