The location Suggest it was in the wrong side of the Medina.. the walk to the riad was not a good first impression.. it was really dirty - piles of rubbish, rubble and half dead cats Mind you Marrakech is not a clean city compared to our previous stay in Tangier

Mention spéciale également pour les délicieux petits-déjeuners. Le fait qu’il n’y ait que 5 logements rend l’endroit très calme et reposant, ce que nous avons particulièrement apprécié. Une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter ! 🤍

La chambre ainsi que la salle de bain étaient spacieuses et très confortables tout en ayant le charme marocain. Le lit était très confortable et la chambre disposait d'équipements nécessaires. C'est à proximité de la place jemaa el fna et du souk. Joli rooftop pour admirer le coucher de soleil.
La chambre était un peu sombre, le petit déjeuner n'était pas assez typique de Marrakech, la piscine était un peu petite en réalité.

The staff are friendly, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The roof terrace is beautiful, with sunbeds, plunge pool, shaded seating areas; everything you could want. Breakfast is superb, beaten only by the beautiful home cooked evening meals.

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Riad Livia. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were greeted with lovely Moroccan tea and given a really useful rundown of the city, including local dos and don’ts, which put us at ease straight away. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, which was a very pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic - easy to find, with a well-known taxi and drop-off point just a one-minute walk away. We chose the gourmet dinner option on our first night and it was outstanding. The salads were fresh and full of flavour, and the tajine was exceptional - honestly better than anything we ate elsewhere during our stay. Breakfast each morning was generous, delicious and set us up perfectly for a full day exploring. The staff truly went above and beyond, even helping us source a travel adapter when we forgot ours. Riad Livia is a peaceful oasis in Marrakech and we would absolutely stay here again. Tip - For ladies caught short on sanitary products, the downstairs toilet has some tampons and sanitary towels in the containers - I thought this was a nice touch!

It is a little hard to find the first time but look for the riad sign on the main street and you won’t have any issues with that going forward. The place is clean and dreamy. Room is a bit cold but understandable as Morocco is always hot but quite cold for winter, ac does not work that well. The yard of riad is quite small, breakfast does not have much variety, it is somewhat the same every day. Can’t really talk during midnight, we were just talking but reception asked us to be quiet. No kettle in the room. City tax when check out caught us out of guard as we did not know that while booking it at all

Unfortunately it was cold and raining when we visited so we couldn't use the beautiful upstairs area to take advantage of the sunshine. And being open to the elements as it is a riad it was quite chilly but the staff lit the fires to help keep us warm.

Nemám co vytknout, všechno bylo v pořádku.

La chambre « fontaine » donne sur le lobby, ce qui peut se révéler bruyant. Le petit-déjeuner pourrait être plus varié lorsque l’on reste plusieurs nuits.

Hij gaf ons een interessante uitleg over Marrakech, gevolgd door een heerlijk diner op het dakterras. Ook het ontbijt was uitstekend - daar viel niets op aan te merken.

I liked that it was a bit further out in the Medina so you walked through various streets to get around so you saw more. Very nice chaos in the local streets.Felt safe there. Little pool on the roof which was welcome in the heat.
Breakfast could have included some fruit. A bit tight with drinking water. Be aware they do not sell alcohol in the Riad but you can bring your own in. There's no tea and coffee facilities in the room.
