Service, shower not working, broken tiles in pool, unclean sofas, staff service ignorant

We had one night stay it was good hotel, the staff where good, They have a nice, but we did not get chance to use it, We had dinner and breakfast here it was not good.

The food was not good.

El staff es super amable (nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje entre otras cosas) y también cogimos el safari con ellos el día que llegamos para la jornada siguiente, super fácil y y nos juntaron con buenos conductores. La piscina está genial mirando a los campos que rodean el hotel, ideal para ver el atardecer. No nos acercamos pero al otro lado de la carretera hay un lago muy bonito. El desayuno también fue muy completo (el día del safari nos prepararon uno empaquetado para llevar). Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y el aire acondicionado funciona genial. Además el propio hotel es super coqueto.

Es verdad que no está cerca de restaurantes o "vida", pero en tuktuk se llega perfectamente y los jeeps si visitais Yala os recogen en el hotel.

Die Unterkunft an sich mit den Zimmern, dem Pool und der Lage inmitten der Felder ist wirklich ein Traum. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war sehr nett. Bestelltes Essen und Trinken brauchte leider ziemlich lang, wurde auch nicht immer wie in der Karte beschrieben zubereitet, war jedoch lecker.

Die organisierte Safari hat uns leider nicht begeistert, das lag vor allem am Fahrer. Aktuell wird überprüft, ob die Safari wirklich über das Hotel oder doch privat von einem Empfangs-Mitarbeiter organisiert wurde. Es wird sich jedoch gekümmert, auch im Nachhinein.

Alles in allem passte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Hotel ist toll angelegt, mit schönem Pool und einem tollen Aussenbereich. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Wir mussten leider nachts aufgrund von Kakerlaken im Zimmer, das Zimmer wechseln. Das neue Zimmer hatte ebenfalls Tiere, so dass wir erneut wechseln mussten. Das Personal war mitten in der Nacht sofort zur Stelle und hat alles mögliche versucht, uns zu unterstützen. Wir haben letztlich ein schönes und sauberes Zimmer erhalten.

Das es zu Tieren im Zimmer kommen kann, ist in der Lage durchaus möglich. Allerdings sind Motten und Kakerlaken schon ein Grund, sich unwohl zu fühlen.

The location is absolutely beautiful — the hotel is surrounded by fields and nature, making it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The property itself is very nicely designed and the pool is truly stunning. The setting is definitely the highlight of the hotel. I also appreciated that the concierge apologized afterwards for not being there when I checked out early.

Unfortunately, there were several issues during my stay. During the night, I woke up to find small insects crawling all over me, including in my hair and in the bed. I understand that insects are to some extent unavoidable when staying in the middle of nature, and the hotel does mention this in the room. However, I feel there is a clear difference between occasionally seeing insects and finding them actually crawling in your bed and hair while you are trying to sleep. I also had an early-morning safari pick-up and had arranged with the concierge the evening before that I would be checking out early and leaving my luggage at the hotel. When I went downstairs, however, nobody was there despite calling and ringing several times. I eventually reached someone by phone who told me to simply leave my luggage there, which I found very uncomfortable. The most disappointing part happened afterwards. I checked out at around 12:00 pm, and later realized that I had accidentally left an entire laundry bag containing clean underwear in my room. (The hotel did find the bag, but instead of contacting me, they assumed it was rubbish and threw the contents away. Since I had only checked out at noon, I would have expected the cleaning staff to discover the bag while cleaning the room and simply ask me whether it had been left behind intentionally. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that I was later sent a photo showing the empty laundry bag. This means that someone had removed my underwear from the bag before it was discarded, which I found quite uncomfortable and honestly rather strange. I understand that it may have been an honest mistake, but personal belongings — especially something as private as underwear — should not simply be disposed of without at least trying to contact the guest first. The hotel did offer to send the bag to me in the next city, which I appreciate, but by that point I preferred not to have any further involvement.

Hier ist eine ausgewogene, aber klare Bewertung: Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig, wenn man eine Safari im Yala-Nationalpark plant. Man kann praktisch direkt vom Hotel mit dem Jeep starten. Auch die Lage zwischen den Reisfeldern ist sehr schön und ruhig. Das Hotel selbst ist insgesamt recht nett und das Personal bemüht sich, freundlich und hilfsbereit zu sein. Leider gibt es aber einige Punkte, die unseren Aufenthalt deutlich beeinträchtigt haben. Das Essen im Hotel können wir nicht empfehlen. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die Speisen nicht frisch vor Ort zubereitet werden, sondern von außerhalb kommen. Geschmacklich war das Essen für uns leider kaum genießbar. Auch bei der Sauberkeit gibt es Verbesserungsbedarf. Der Pool machte auf uns keinen besonders sauberen beziehungsweise einladenden Eindruck. Zusätzlich hatten wir in unserem Zimmer sehr viele kleine, mückenähnliche Insekten. Sie haben zwar nicht gestochen, waren aber äußerst unangenehm – es waren wirklich Hunderte im Zimmer. Für eine Safari ist die Lage des Hotels wirklich hervorragend, bei Sauberkeit und Verpflegung besteht unserer Meinung nach jedoch noch deutlicher Verbesserungsbedarf. Ich kann die Bewertung auch noch etwas kürzer und diplomatischer für Booking.com formulieren.

L’hôtel est bien situé, le bâtiment est beau et bien décoré, avec une vue dégagée. Les chambres sont grandes. Le personnel était très sympathique (surtout le monsieur de la cuisine qui devait gérer seul le service et les plats).

De manière générale, l’établissement est assez vieillissant. Compte-tenu du prix assez élevés, les prestations pourraient été améliorées. Il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude dans la douche. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est correct mais très cher pour ce qu’il y est proposé. Point négatif pour le petit déjeuner qui était vraiment médiocre. Nous ne sommes pas satisfait par le rapport qualité prix, même si l’ensemble était convenable.

El personal, no era nada atento. Dejé olvidado un bolso en recepción, llamé al momento para que lo comprobaran y dijeron que no había nada. Cuando volví, estaba donde les había dicho que miraran. El baño no tenía bien olor.

Nice swim pool

Un piccolo angolo di paradiso immerso nella natura, con un’atmosfera super rilassata e autentica. Struttura curata, staff gentilissimo e un’atmosfera davvero speciale. Anche la cena molto buona!! Super consigliato!

Vista spettacolare e arredamento moderno, piscina pulita. Ci siamo affidati a loro per l’organizzazione del safari e mi hanno stupito per puntualità e precisione. Anche per il transfer ci hanno consigliato un driver ottimo

Da rivedere un po’ la gestione dei tempi in cucina, per la cena abbiamo aspettato quasi un’ora mentre a colazione 45 minuti una yougurt boule.

Nice place but a bit in shambles. Our shower didn’t work (staff were quick to react). There was a broken window in the toilet. A whole floor seems to be under renovation or construction.

The rooms were quiet luxury 🤩 Staff super friendly and helpful. Much appreciate the packed breakfast at 4.30 AM to take to the safari.

La piscina anche se aveva delle piastrelle rotte. La location è molto ventilata quindi si stava bene nonostante il caldo.

La colazione è esclusivamente all’inglese, senza possibilità di scelta. La struttura offre anche la cena, ma non la consiglio: i piatti che volevamo non erano disponibili e ci hanno proposto una variante che, nonostante la nostra richiesta esplicita di evitare il piccante, è risultata immangiabile. Inoltre, i prezzi sono decisamente alti rispetto alla media della zona. Inoltre i cuscini sono troppo gonfi per riuscire a dormire.

Ben organizzata la colazione al sacco presafari

Attenzione maggiore alle cose che contano. Rientrati alle 17.00 dopo 12 ore di safari a ritirare l'auto (avevamo lasciato la camera al mattino alle 5.00) ci hanno negato un bagno. Insopportabile

La piscina estaba verde de la suciedad que tenía, azulejos rotos donde nos cortamos. La habitación era muy oscura, con muchas luces pequeñas pero no centralizadas, tenías que apagar una a una, en recepción nunca había nadie. Intentamos cenar en el hotel y a parte de tener los precios multiplicados x3, no tenían nada de la carta. Pedimos cama doble porque es nuestra luna de miel, nos pusieron dos camas juntas que durante la noche se separaban. Cuando bajamos en varias ocasiones a la recepción había personal sentado en nuestro tuktuk. Reservamos con ellos el safari privado por 130€, el cual no vimos ni un solo elefante, muy poca fauna. Calidad/ precio pésima. Es un hotel bonito, quien lo diseñó tuvo muy buen gusto, pero quien lo dirige en este momento lo está llevando a la ruina. Todo todo mal

La ubicación es muy buena ya que está muy cerca del parque de Yala y las vistas son espectaculares.

La piscina está sucia y rota. La comida muy normal y tardan mucho en traerla. Las habitaciones necesitan renovación. El hotel no es para nada un cinco estrellas.

Hotel moderno con camere molto ampie e immerso in un’atmosfera tranquilla e rilassante. A rendere il tutto ancora più gradevole la piscina e il ristorante con vista sui campi. Raj, il proprietario, è stato molto gentile e disponibile ad aiutarci nei piccoli spostamenti. Abbiamo anche prenotato tramite l’hotel il safari ed è stato tutto organizzato al meglio con colazione e pranzo inclusi, per non parlare del driver, Omesh, attento alle nostre richieste e molto bravo.

La piscina era molto bella, location suggestiva. Le stanze erano spaziose e pulite.

La cosa più grave è la colazione, che era inclusa nel prezzo ma dopo aver richiesto di averla da asporto la mattina del safari non abbiamo trovato nessuno in reception né la nostra colazione. Inaccettabile. Il ristorante caro, la pisci a ha delle piastrelle scollegate e ci siamo tagliati

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es herrscht eine sehr entspannte Atmosphäre. Man kann sehr gut am Pool oder im ersten Stock auf Sandsäcken entspannen.

Durch die ungeschützte Lage mitten im Reisfeld ist es sehr windig.

Très belle emplacement, une belle piscine au bord des rizières, petit-déj’ consistant, personnel à l’écoute et disponible.

La chambre avec vue sur piscine a une salle de bain toute petite( toilette et douche presque l’une sur l’autre). Nous avons eu des cafards et une petite visite d’un animal la nuit, la salle de bain donne sur l’arrière des cuisines, l’odeur va donc avec. Nous n’avons pas pu dormir avec la clim car celle-ci goûte et fait un bruit assez important.

L’hôtel est INCROYABLE en tout point, la piscine avec vue sur les rizières, l’accueil, le personnel, la chambre, le restaurant est très bon aussi ! Je recommande vraiment, l’environnement de l’hôtel est top

Schoon mooie lokatie aan het rijstveld en uitzicht op het meer. Met heerlijke zitplekken en mooi zwembad

De kamer was netjes en voldoende groot, personeel was vriendelijk en het eten was in orde.

Het zwembad was vuil. We zijn er slechts 1 keer in geweest maar zelfs na een douche nadien kleefden we nog. Het zwembad is dus echt geen meerwaarde als je er niet in kan/wil gaan omdat het te vuil is. We hebben er 1 keer gegeten. Echter moest we 50 minuten wachten op ons eten én drinken terwijl je ergens anders in Sri Lanka gewoon binnen het kwartier je eten hebt en je drinken zeer kort na de bestelling. 1 minpuntje voor de kamer is dat er geen ijskast was, je kan dan ook niets van eigen dranken koel houden. Aangezien wij een safari deden en hierbij om 4u30 vertrokken hadden wij gevraagd om een ontbijtpakket te kunnen meekrijgen (bij de meeste hotels kan je dit vragen in functie van de safari's die je kan doen in de streek). De manager leek niet zeer gelukkig toen we zeiden dat we de safari niet via het hotel geboekt hadden maar zei vervolgens wel dat het geen probleem was een ontbijtpakket te krijgen bij ons vertrek om 4u30. Jammer genoeg was er die ochtend niemand te bespeuren en al zeker geen ontbijtpakket. Het is niet leuk als je het gevoel hebt dat er gewoon tegen je gelogen wordt. In het algemeen zijn wij dus teleurgesteld over het hotel. De staat van het hotel en faciliteiten komt niet (meer) overeen met de foto's op booking. We hebben het gevoel dat het hotel niet goed gemanaged wordt en er overal wat tekortkomingen zijn terwijl dit hotel echt de kwaliteiten heeft om een leuk verblijf te zijn, wat het nu jammer genoeg niet was...

Die Unterkunft ist genau wie auf den Bildern beschrieben und die Lage ist ein Traum mitten in den Feldern und am See! Wir haben von hier aus unsere Yala Safari gemacht und es war einfach perfekt.

La vue et la piscine, perdue dans les rizières.

Super hôtel, magnifique vue et très belle piscine. Le personnel est aux petits soins et la chambre est très bien ! Nous avons demandé du jour au lendemain s’il était possible de faire un safari à Uda Walawe, et l’hotel a pu s’occuper de tout pour nous. Nous avons également pu quitter la chambre plus tard afin de rentrer du safari et prendre une douche. le lac de Tissamaharama juste à côté est un plus énorme ! Bref, gros coup de coeur pour cet hôtel. Certainement le meilleur de notre voyage jusqu’à présent.

La nourriture n’est pas à la hauteur de la qualité de l’établissement (cf petit déjeuner)

L’hotel è da lasciare senza fiato, con un altissimo rapporto qualità prezzo si ha la possibilità di nuotare in una piscina sulle risaie. Le camere sono arredate in modo essenziale ma prevedono tutti i comfort. La zona della Hall/reception funge anche da luogo per colazione (abbondante) e da ristorante, sempre vista risaie. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel non solo per la visuale ed il rapporto qualità prezzo ma anche per la posizione strategica e la buonissima cucina del ristorante!

Très bel hôtel au milieu de rizières, chambre propre et spacieuses avec clim. La piscine est merveilleuse, la terrasse très agréable.

Repas un peu onéreux

Emplacement très sympa face au lac, belle vue dans les champs, en particulier au coucher de soleil. Convient pour une nuit pour un safari. Il fait frais dans les chambres.

Hôtel vieillissant qui présente de nombreuses traces d’usures. En une seule soirée passée, 2 coupures d’électricité ont eu lieue, laissant songeur sur le non respect de la chaîne du froid… La piscine quand à elle ne correspond pas aux photos proposées, premièrement au niveau de la taille, mais surtout au niveau de la couleur (eau verdâtre avec des écosystèmes présents à l’intérieur), nous ne nous sommes pas aventurés, frustrant. Niveau service, dur de communiquer, concernant le restaurant, 45’ pour préparer des pâtes à la sauce tomate, même si le restaurant est vide…

Lovely outdoor areas on each floor to relax. Great to be outdoors ... but have shade! Place feels secluded and has a lovely private feel to it, being in the middle of rice fields. Pool is nice after a long day at safari. Room was clean and well appointed.

Lots of surrounding land

Needs maintenance! Pool tiles all broken my daughter cut the bottom of her big toe which left her bleeding and limping for days! They didn’t even warn us about it

Hotellet har en rigtig god beliggenhed, hvis man skal besøge Yala National Park. Området er smukt med rismarker og søen på den anden side af vejen, hvilket skaber rolige og naturskønne omgivelser. Der er desuden en sti, som giver nem og hurtig adgang til de nærliggende spisesteder.

Vi havde aftalt med personalet, at morgenmaden skulle serveres kl. 08.30, da vi skulle videre til Ella. Der var desværre sket en misforståelse omkring tidspunktet, hvilket gjorde, at morgenmadsoplevelsen ikke blev helt, som vi havde håbet.

Location and the atmosphere

Nothing to see

The pool area was the only nice part of the stay and the setting of the property looked pleasant at first.

Unfortunately, the stay was very disappointing and several advertised amenities were not actually provided. The safari service was charged around 15 to 20 USD more in person than the price advertised online and on posters at the hotel. When I asked about the difference, staff refused to properly acknowledge or explain it. The website also said there was a kitchen/restaurant open, but when we arrived, we were told it was closed for renovations. From what we saw, it looked like it could remain closed for several more months, so guests should be aware before booking. The safari package was also meant to include late checkout and a welcome back drink, but neither were provided. We later found out that other people paid much less for similar safari services elsewhere. We booked three rooms and all three had problems. My room had no working lock or key, meaning anyone could walk in, and there was no safe to store valuables. In high winds, it felt like the door could open on its own. My parents’ room had no working AC or fan, and staff only apologised. My cousin’s shower did not work, so they had to use our room. The pool was the only nice feature, but even that was not properly maintained. There was no visible filter, leaves were in the water, and my brother saw a clump of hair at the bottom of the pool. The chlorine also felt very strong and could sting your eyes.

This stay was well above what we expected as the price was very seasonable and the room and hotel in general was lovely. The staff were great very helpful offering dinner and anything else that we had asked about.

The wifi didn’t work in the room which wasn’t a huge problem it worked very well in the reception and common lounge area. Also there was no restaurant, again this wasn’t a huge issue as the staff were very helpful ordering. I think once they have a restaurant it is going to be an extremely good option for hotel

Calm and peaceful

1. Service was not at all satisfactory , we had i climb down to call someone at reception for anything and many a times there was no one. 2. We asked for the tea in breakfast but it took almost one hour to get and that too very tasteless

Amazing location! Very clean room! Nice staff! Such a good value for money! The pool table and swimming pool were amazing fun to fill in our time before yala national park :) the safari jeeps will pick you up from the location and the staff did all the organising so we didn’t have to worry about a thing!

If they served drinks, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages it would be very convenient

Staff were so friendly , great place for anyone doing the Yala national park safari. The pool is so cool as it overlooks rice fields and is perfect for sunset

sehr schönes Hotel, rundherum Reisfelder und Blick zum See

Das Anwesen ist wunderschön ! Die Lage und Weite in die Ferne traumhaft ! Due Zimmer waren gut und das Bad neu ! Mitarbeiter bemühen sich sehr !! Unbedingt abends 18 Uhr links laufen zu dem Fledermäusen 🥰 an den Bäumen .

Die Unterkunft renoviert grad überall an jeder Ecke . Es gibt kein Restaurant oder eine Bar ! Also auch keine Getränke . Das wollen sie noch bauen , laut eines Mitarbeiter . ( das wäre dann perfekt ) Wir wollten spontan von 2 Nächten auf 1 Nacht reduzieren , das ging nicht . Also kein Geld zurück bekommen . Der Pool war noch grün ! Was sie aber auch ändern wollen ( laut Mitarbeiter ) .

Everything was great

Hele mooie locatie waar absoluut iets van te maken is. Tijdens ons verblijf waren ze van vroeg in de ochtend tot laat in de middag aan het schuren, zagen en timmeren. 3 a 4 man personeel die zich stierlijk liepen te vervelen. Met afstand de duurste locatie tijdens onze rondreis maar voor ons dit zeker niet waard. Safari hier geboekt naar Yala. Viel ons tegen, niet zo heel veel gezien en chauffeurs staan allemaal met elkaar in verbinding. Als er dan iets gespot is waarschuwen ze elkaar en rijden als gekken door het park allemaal naar dezelfde locatie.

Petit-déjeuner léger et restaurant fermé

Konumu harika, gölün tam karşısında, anayoldan 100 metre içeride pirinç tarlalarının ortasında, kendi yolu var. Hiç kullanmasam da havuzun varlığı bile harikaydı, çalışanlar çok güleryüzlü, kaliteli bir hizmet alıyorsunuz, odalar ferah ve temiz. Kesinlikle öneririm. Ayrıca göl çevresinde akşamüstü bisikletle kesin gezin derim, çevre köylerdeki insanlar çok canayakın!

Everything was perfect. The rooms and toilet clean and the room was quite big. Loved the stay. The staff was very helpful and good.

Het zwembad was groen vol algen. Je kon er niet veilig in zwemmen.

Als ich ankam, wurde ich direkt genötigt das Zimmer für 2 Tage im voraus zu bezahlen, obwohl ich über booking.com reserviert hatte und alle angaben bereits gemacht hatte. Da ich Bar bezahlen wollte und ich das Geld im Koffer verschlossen hatte. Stand der Manager neben mir und meinte ich könne erst aufs Zimmer gehen, wenn ich bezahlt hätte. Das geht so nicht, aber ich werde SO keine Drink oder Essen mehr in diesem Haus machen oder noch extra Kosten, da ich nur hier schlafen werde um ihnen keinen Gewinn mehr zu bringen!
