Ligging van het hotel top, koelkast op kamer, fijne douche beetje klein maar top! Lekkere bedden, mooie tuin met lig bedden bij Groot zwembad.. heerlijk!! Als je wil kan je nog sporten..en goed ontbijt..

Hotel en Tissa especialmente para hacer safari en Yala. Un sitio necesitado de mantenimiento y limpieza, pero con todo lo necesario. Desayuno MUY bueno y el personal es fantástico.

Necesita mejorar en limpieza si quiere seguir ofreciendo esos precios, altos para lo que ofrece la zona (NADA). El aire acondicionado no direcciona el aire y está muy sucio.

I stayed here for its close proximity to Yala National Park. Ravindu was very helpful in arranging for me to join a morning safari. The hotel itself was very equipped, the room was comfortable with all the usual facilities. I did not stay long enough to use the pool which looked fantastic.

There was nothing I disliked, only that I had to take the breakfast which was included as a pack up on the safari and this only consisted of some bananas and a pancake.

Great host and the food/hotel chef cooked up some great dinners. The pool was good and the staff were very attentive to our needs.

Water pressure in the bathroom was very poor and the wifi was very hit and miss.

Everything was perfect , great hotel and staff . I forgot to return my keys from my last hotel and organized to courier them back to the hotel, for me. Highly recommend this hotel.

Serenity Tissa is in the perfect location of Tissa! It is located in a quiet street next to the main street. Walking distance to the lake and temple, but many tuk tuks availble through PickMe, if too hot for the walk. Also hotel can help with the transport needed for the sightseeing. The staff was superfriendly and help me with organising trip to Kataragama, Safari and my further travels to downsouth. Hotel is very nice with the wooden interior which can remind of both British and Dutch architecture back in the days. Breakfast is a mix of western and Sri Lankan😇 The hotel has a clean pool with sunbeds and pool towels😍 I also used their gym once, it has all the equipment needed for a lowkey gym session when travelling (obs, gym has no aircon). I would recommend solo travellers, friend groups and family to stay at Serenity Tissa.

AC in the room didn’t work properly - it failed to provide continuous fresh air, and sometimes the room looked like a sauna; sheets didn’t look very clean - with some yellow stains

We had a wonderful stay at Serenity Tissa. Place was well cleaned at staff was friendly. Rooms had all the amenities needed. Very quiet place with calming surrounding. Swimming pool and gym was well maintained. Great value for money !

The rooms were very spacious and clean with nice bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was packed for us to take on the very early safari. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was very good. The pool was excellent, large and very clean. Also enjoyed the garden setting. The staff were wonderful and attended to every need. Excellent location.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und bemüht. Es wurde kurzfristig eine Safari arrangiert, die uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Preis Leistung dafür unschlagbar!

Es ist sehr schade, aber leider hat das Hotel schon sehr viel bessere Jahre gesehen und entspracht nicht den Fotos. Die Zimmer waren sehr heruntergekommen und alles andere als sauber. Der Pool war von Algen befallen und nicht nutzbar.

Höfliches Personal und ein großer Parkplatz für unser TukTuk. Im Zimmer standen uns zwei Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung. Auf unsere Anfrage per App wurde schnell geantwortet und uns wurde eine schöne Safari organisiert zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Außerdem konnten wir ohne Probleme unser Gepäck im Zimmer lassen bis wir von der Safari zurück kamen.

Das Mobiliar und die Ausstattung im Zimmer ist abgenutzt und teilweise defekt. Die Klimaanlage hat auch nur eingeschränkt funktioniert. Wir hatten das Hotel vor allem wegen des Pools gebucht, jedoch war dieser grün und wir haben uns nicht sicher gefühlt darin zu schwimmen. Auch wenn uns der nette Hotelmitarbeiter versichert hat, dass er in Ordnung ist. Wie auf den Fotos sah er allerdings nicht aus und wir waren lieber vorsichtig. Die Handtücher waren zum Teil löchrig und fleckig. Auch die Sauberkeit im Zimmer hätte besser sein können.

Good place to start a safari in Yala the next day. Nice city to have a walk and streetfood. The hotel staff was really caring and helpful.

Zimmer war gross und sauber. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber total ok fûr 1 Nacht. Balkonfenster liess sich öffnen auf die Seite des Hotels hin. Weit genug weg von der Hauptstrasse -> kein Strassenlärm

Es ist etwas hellhörig. Abends haben andere Gäste in der Lobby getrunken & diskutiert, was man im 1. Stock gut gehört hat.

All staff exceptional -welcoming, polite, very attentive so pleasant to deal with and so helpful. Manager Charma went out of his way to help with laundry services, safari bookings, tourist info for Tissa, and arranging taxi for my onward travel. The staff member who gave me some very interesting history stories was a bonus. Chef made great meals, and wait staff so attentive. Swimming pool as very pleasant. Locale - very good- down quiet lane a few minutes from town centre.

Internet was slow and I couldn't upload some material I needed to. This also made TV very stop, start. But minor hassle.

Everything was amazing and so serene - beautiful property and great staff. The AC broke down and many started to check out, our family decided to stay and the host was so gracious, he gave each of us a fan in our rooms, compensated a discount for the trouble and was so appreciative to have us there. I would certainly revisit, the rooms were spacious, the food and drinks were delicious, and it was a very relaxing venue. Thank you to the owner and staff for making our visit very memorable!

Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk, ze hebben een privé Safari voor ons geregeld en ook het ontbijt meegegeven toen wij vertrokken. Het is een warme douche en goed werkende airco. Personeel had zelfs een verjaardagstaart en slingers opgehangen toen ik jarig was.

Weinig schaduw bij het zwembad, maar wel een paar bomen waar je onder kan liggen.

Location was great to access to Yala. Facilities were superb value for money, staff could have been more attentive or helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful staff who were very attentive and helpful in organising safari and onward travel. Lovely light filled space, great swimming pool and the freshest, tastiest authentic Sri Lankan curries! The chef is fantastic. Fantastic value for money; highly recommended!

We loved everything there- the stuff,the food,how clean it was. All the stuff in the hotel is just perfect- pay lot of attention,taking care about you all the time and all the time smile to you. They making a great atmosphere there. The food was so tasty and the prices are ok. The breakfast was great served and tasty. We have eaten only here at the hotel all the time because there are any good restaurant in the town. The room was clean.It must not be luxury,it must be friendly and clean. There is a gym in the hotel and I was so much happy about that.Small but very fine gym. The bed cozy and we slept so good. The manager helped us to organise a safari tour for very fear price.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Tissa, comfy decent sized room. good shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. We were only here for a night so didn't get a chance to use the pool but had a look around, all looked clean and maintained.

Einen Tag vor der Safari angereist und alle Annehmlichkeiten wie den Pool und das Gym genutzt. Der Hotelmanagel hat uns bei allen Anliegen, zB den Transfer nach Mirissa unterstützt. Immer wieder gerne.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, czyste pokoje, pyszne śniadanie, czajnik oraz herbata / kawa na wyposażeniu. Szafa w pokoju. Przemiła obsługa.

Nos gustó que era muy amplio, hicimos uso del gimnasio que tiene mancuernas de hasta 17,5kg, la piscina está genial y en general las instalaciones y la habitación muy bien. Sobretodo destacar al personal que se preocupa y está atento de ti siempre. Son un 10 de personas.

Room was not clean. Filled with bugs , cockroaches , spiders mosquitoes. Bed uncomfortable . Hated staying there.

We had a wonderful stay at Serenity Tissa and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yala National Park. Before our arrival, we were contacted by the owner, Shantha, via WhatsApp, which made everything very easy and personal. We were able to book our Yala safari in advance, which was extremely convenient. The staff is truly outstanding, especially Shantha, whose warm and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared every morning and a perfect start to the day. The private safari was absolutely fantastic. Our guide, Wasantha, was highly knowledgeable and passionate, and we were lucky to see leopards, elephants, water buffalo, and many other animals. Overall, we were very satisfied and would book Serenity Tissa again without hesitation.

The Serenity is well located in the heart of Tissamaharama. The manager Shantha welcomed me professionally and warmly, he gave great information about the activities like Safaris and the area, very helpful. In addition to the kindness of the staff I would like to sincerely thank the Chef, his touch with breakfast, his talented cooking style with the lunches that he prepared for me was absolutely delicious. The chef has a devotion and it is demonstrated inside his food style, special mention to him. I had a pleasant stay and will recommend that hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Serenity Tissa! The Staff, especially, the manager was super helpful and friendly! I helped me to organize a driver and offered me to bring me medicine, cause I felt very sick. I can highly recommend this place :)

Wi-Fi is a bit spotty

Majoituksen huone ja vessa olivat siistejä. Suihku oli hyvä. Ilmastointi oli todella tehokas. Yöpyisin uudelleen.

Vessan ikkunan hyönteisverkko oli repaleinen ja minibaarin jääkaappi haisi homeelle.

Met name de vriendelijkheid en behulpzaamheid van het personeel. Ik had een vrij basic kamer maar die was prima. Wat groter hotel, dat rustig gelegen ligt. Heel schoon en netjes onderhouden. Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een safari trip. Wordt perfect door het personeel geregeld!

Het hotel.was super,een hele fijne kamer,heerlijk bed en douche. Ze organiseeden een tour voor ons naar Yala national park. Onze gids Ramesh was erg goed,spotte de dieren snel en nam de tijd om foto's te nemen. Vandaag afgsloten met een heerlijk ontbijt . Een hele vriendelijke goedlachse gastheer die alles voor ons regelde ,ook taxi

Sehr gute Lage für eine Safari zum Yala Nationalpark (ca. 30 Minuten Fahrt). Die Unterkunft bietet auch eine Safari an, sehr zu empfehlen. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Fitnessstudio war ziemlich klein und die Geräte nicht mehr die neusten.

They were incredibly thoughtful — even preparing breakfast very early in the morning before our safari jeep arrived! The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved that they were happy to make dishes of our choice. We enjoyed both the English and Sri Lankan breakfasts, and eventually started ordering both breakfast and dinner from the hotel because the meals were always fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. We had two spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms right next to each other, which was perfect for our family.

The swimming pool was clean and inviting, and the backyard was lovely however in the evening lots of mosquitoes and hard to relax

Wij waren op doorreis vanuit Ella met onze tuktuk en moesten voor één nacht een tussenstop maken in Tissamaharama. Serenity Tissa is een zeer degelijk en schoon hotel met mooi zwembad wanneer je op doorreis bent of een bezoek wilt brengen aan Yala. Daarnaast zeer gastvrij en viel er niks aan de wensen over te laten! We kregen de volgende ochtend een zeer ruim ontbijt dat speciaal vers voor ons klaar werd gemaakt. Toen wij eenmaal de volgende dag in Dikwella waren bleken wij onze camera op de één of andere manier te zijn kwijt geraakt. Serenity Tissa reageerde direct op ons bericht en had de camera gevonden. Zij dachten mee aan een oplossing om de camera zo snel mogelijk bij ons terug te krijgen en waren zeer behulpzaam!

Het hotel is een oase van rust, alhoewel je maar 150 meter van de drukke doorgaande weg af bent. We kwamen rond 19:00 uur bij donker aan, we mochten nog wel een verfrissende plons bij maanlicht in het mooie zwembad nemen. Het stof afspoelen na onze Safari tocht in het Yala national park, dat op 30 minuten rijden ligt. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam, het ontbijt super, een mix van westers en Sri Lankaans. Van de stad hebben we weinig gezien, de volgende ochtend zijn we direct doorgereisd.

Mooi groot zwembad. Tissa zelf stelt niks voor maar om de hoek zit Yala Chill Cafe waar je lekker kunt eten, dus top! Vriendelijke gastheer ook.

Kamer was beetje smoezelig, stond drinken in de minibar dat deels over de datum was (toen we het aangaven werd het gelijk gefixt), wij waren er in het laagseizoen dus waren verder bijna geen gasten waardoor het niet zo gezellig was (hierdoor dan wel weer zwembad voor ons zelf!)

Unglaublich freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, tolle Ausstattung mit Pool und Fitnessstudio, leckeres landestypisches Frühstück, sehr gute Lage zu Restaurants und verschiedenen Läden. Klimaanlage und Ventilator beides vorhanden, Dusche mit richtiger Kabine (in vielen anderen Hotels nicht üblich), Bad mit Tageslicht und Fenster, keinerlei modriger Geruch (in manchen anderen Hotels der Fall)

Ein fest verbautes Moskitonetz wäre noch nice to have.
