Safari Resort Udawalwa

Het is een kleinschalige accommodatie met een hele goede service. Een fijn zwembad met badhanddoeken. Ideaal dat je ook lekker eten en drinken bij de accommodatie kan bestellen. Ze bereiden dit zelf. Ze hebben voor ons de safari in het nabijgelegen wildpark geregeld en een picknickmand met water/thee/koffie, sandwiches en vers fruit meegegeven. Super attent!

Absolutely loved everything ! We unfortunately stayed only one night but had such a great time. It’s a beautiful place with great people and great food from the restaurant. We were able to stay and enjoy the pool even after check out which was really helpful.

Dirty, cockroaches , lizards inside, water getting out from the shower to the whole bathroom. After shower you are walking in the water. Cover for the bed very thin. Location - difficult to get there. Not good brakfast and coffe .

Besonders schön war die Ruhe die man in der Unterkunft und auf dem Grundstück hatte! Die Lage ist eher abseits und man muss kleine Wege fahren um zur Unterkunft zu gelangen, doch dort angekommen hat man das Gefühl nur von Natur umgeben zu sein. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und haben uns immer köstliches Frühstück sowie Abendessen gekocht. Der Pool war eine gute Erfrischung und sonst war es immer leicht mit Taxi/ Fahrern von der Unterkunft zu anderen Orten zu gelangen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und haben viel Platz geboten.

We made a reservation for a one-night stay for four through Booking.com. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The property did not inform us in advance that they would not be operating on the day of our booking. We only became aware of this after arriving near the location and contacting them to confirm our arrangements. At that point, we were informed that the property was closed. This reflects a serious lack of communication and responsibility. If the property is not available, it should not be listed as open for booking, and guests should be notified well in advance to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. As a result, we experienced avoidable disruption, including wasted time and travel effort. I would advise future guests to exercise caution when considering this property.

Awesome stay at Lily Safari resort. Rooms are lovely with good working AC. Pool area is great. Kids and adults loved it. We had food in the evening which was all cooked fresh and was very very tasty. In the morning we had a safari booked and we were provided with a breakfast in a cool box for our trip. Highly recommended. The gentleman who we met at the property were so attentive and friendly. Very welcoming.

Large rooms and beds, very comfortable. Pool is a nice, hosts helped arrange the safari and taxi to next destination, plus a on site tuk tuk to town.

The place is quiet and cozy, swimming pool is clean. Safari arranged by the property was excellent.

It's in the middle of nowhere. It was scary to walk nearby in the evening -no lights and no people.

The staff catered for our needs. The breakfast was modified to suit our Western taste.We also enjoyed the local meals they provided for dinner. Transport was available for trips into town.

The people running this place were soooo friendly and helpful. They organised everything for us and couldn’t have been more accommodating. It is nestled right in the jungle and so atmospheric at night. After an amazing safari the next morning, we were met back at the hotel with some of the tastiest food. This place was amazing value for money and was perfect for our one night stay as we were just passing through for the safari.

The rooms are spacious and clean, we have 2 double beds in the room. Swimming pool is decent size. At the moment they only have 3 rooms so it is quite private. But they are in the process of building a second floor. We were there during the weekend and there were no construction works but when we were leaving on Monday we saw the builders starting. Food in the restaurant is good. Location is great if you have a car or you can get a tuk tuk from the village. Otherwise it is a bit remote

The shower is a bit tricky - hot and cold water come from different shower heads. Internet is very slow to non existent

Een basic, rustig gelegen accommodatie met vriendelijk personeel. 's Avonds kun je er ook dineren. Een prima uitvalsbasis voor een safari.

Het zwembad zag er niet helemaal schoon uit helaas.

Die Unterkunft hat nur drei Zimmer, die von zwei Brüdern liebevoll gemanagt werden. Die Lage ist etwas abseits, jedoch wunderschön ruhig, fast idyllisch. Wir waren drei Nächte hier. Das Zimmer und die Anlage, auch der Pool, waren sehr gepflegt, die Gastgeber waren perfekt. 👌 Sie haben uns die Safari im Park organisiert und sind mit dem einen Eigentümer in den Sinharaja Regenwald gefahren. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, falls wir wieder in die Gegend kommen sollten, dann gerne hier.

on voulait éviter les “pièges” pour avoir une nuit indépendante d’un tour en safari! Du coup, très belle surprise:L’accueil et le service, le dîner, la piscine, la deco, le petit déjeuner dans le jardin, la propreté et l’attention portée … Il y avait même une chambre pour notre chauffeur. Bref, tout ! Malheureusement, nous y sommes restés qu’une nuit…

L'aménagement est parfait: chambres, piscines, chill corners, etc Petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux Le propriétaire est au petit soin pour répondre à toutes les demandes.

L’endroit idéal pour séjourner lors d’un passage a Udawalawa, tout était parfait, les chambres sont spacieuses, climatisée, avec une literie confortable. Le jardin est vraiment magnifique avec une grande piscine, très agréable pour se détendre après notre safari. De nombreux points d’ombres pour se reposer avec chaises longues et transats. Vous aurez également l’occasion d’observer de très beaux oiseaux dans le jardin. Le personnel est au petit soin pour vous, très attentionné tout en étant discret. Un petit déjeuner très copieux et qualitatif. Je recommande vivement ce petit coin de Paradis! Meilleur rapport qualité prix.

Nádherný resort, pouze tři pokoje, absolutně čisté, skvělý bazén, příjemný personál. Vybrali jsme hotel kvůli safari, strávili jsme tam dvě nocí a klidně bychom zůstali déle, kdybychom neměli další ubytování jinde..Je to oáza klidu, přesto kousek tul tukem do města. Dali jsme si tam oba večery večeři a byla také výborná. Zařídili nám i safari, připravili na něj snídani, opravdu skvělý servis. Byli jsme v resortu jediní hosté a přišlo nám to líto, tak krásné místo by si zasloužilo být plně obsazené. Moc děkujeme za vše.

Mrzelo nás, že nebyla možnost Srílanské snidaně . Ale podávané snídani se nedalo nic vytknout (toasty, máslo, vejce, džem, fresh džus, káva, čaj). A pozor, Google mapy vám nenajdou správnou polohu hotelu, takže náš taxikář trochu bloudil.

Pas de possibilité de dîner le soir si vous n’avez pas réservé en amont ( personne ne vous le dis avant .. ) ; Notre chauffeur a réussi à négocier que l’on se fasse néanmoins livrer. Il faut payer la totalité du séjour en cash ( personne ne vous le dis avant .. ) Chambre qui aurait besoin d’un bon coup de rafraîchissement surtout dans la salle de bain VMC très encrassé

Lovely attentive staff, always happy to help. Comfortable bed, good WiFi, good aircon, lovely pool. The manager communicated very well before and during the stay, nothing was too much trouble!

Lily Resort is an amazing getaway in a peaceful environment. It is the perfect place to relax before and after safari in Udawalawe National Park. The staff is highly attentive, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to Udawalawe and wants a peaceful and relaxing environment. It is a bit far away from Udawalawe town. Takes around 10-15 min to get there with a tuk-tuk. However, this makes the location a perfect place for relaxation as you are not disturbed by noise of the traffic, but instead can enjoy the vibrant sound from all the birds in the forest.

Superbe petit resort de 3 logements familiaux avec piscine. On est au milieu de la nature et au calme et le personnel est aux soins ! Lily est une professionnelle du tourisme et nous a organisé plein de choses depui la France ! N’hésitez pas à la contacter par WhatsApp elle est très réactive !

idéalement situé pour faire la visite de Uda Walawe National Park. Personnel très bienveillant et aux petits soins. Se sont occupés de l'organisation de notre safari le lendemain. c'était parfait. Logement bien équipé et propre. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine. restauration sri lankaise possible dans l'établissement. N'allez pas chercher ailleurs : c'était parfait !!

Habe Ruhe gesucht und hier gefunden. Zimmer, Pool, Essen, alles perfekt. Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Preis-Leistung. Sehr zu empfehlen. Etwas abseits, aber dadurch auch so ruhig.

Мы останавливались на одну ночь. Хотели пожить в джунглях, где с утра будут кричать павлины, а вечером стрекотать неизвестные насекомые. Абсолютная тишина и уединение. Прекрасный, современный, чистый бассейн. Персонал старается. В гостинице же купили сафари.

По-моему, всё было хорошо. Даже вайфай был хороший, что на шри-ланке редкость.

If you are looking for low cost great service and excellent value for money, Lily resort that also boasts a swimming pool would be a great option. The staff were so helpful and we were able to upgrade as our original room wasn’t to our liking. Although basic, the larger room was a great size and really good value.

It's a small hotel with big, clean, well appointed rooms. It's located a few kilometers out if town and is very quiet. You can take a tuktuk into town. It's a bit tricky to find (Google maps wants you to take a turn that no longer exists if coming from the north and signs for the resort are pretty small wooden things). The staff at the resort (Shashi and Gayan) were excellent. Super responsive to any of our needs. We got our laundry done for 500 ruppees each (have them ironed). The owner was really helpful in booking an excellent safari. It's a bit spendy through them but our guide spent almost 6 hours with us, the resort provided food and we had a great time. Note that one safari is enough - you get bounced around a lot! Our room was spacious and clean with two queen and one single bed. The beds were firm but comfortable. The AC worked great, as did the instant on hot water heater. The towels were also really nice. The pool was great at the end of a long day on safari! It's a chlorine pool so watch your eyes. The food was generally excellent. The included breakfast was way to big for any normal appetite. Try the Sri Lankan breakfast for a real treat. And don't hesitate to ask Shashi for anything like more fruit, tea or any other food item. Overall this was a great place to stay while visiting Udawlawe.

The hotel is located pretty far from town. So it's a hassle if you don't have your own vehicle.

We went there with our family its a A Perfect Getaway for Families. Food was excellent and tasty. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. We went on a safari at Udawalawa National Park and it was excellent we saw many elephants and other wild animals.

One of best place in Udawalwa. Had a wonderful time there. Very relaxing atmosphere. Wonderfully well kept rooms, food, and grounds. Food was very delicious & staff also very friendly. Place is very close to start Udawalwa safari & to visit Milk feeding for baby elephants called “ Aeth Athuru Sewana ”

Lovely jungle location, not in a busy location. Incredibly peaceful. The pool was fantastic and a wonderful distraction for the kids from the jungle humidity, we all spent hours in it. The breakfast was unbelievable, my son has declared the Dhal is the best in Sri Lanka, I am included to agree. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel incredibly welcome. Would definitely come back to that resort

The resort is a bit isolated and if you need supplies you'll need a tuktuk.

Wspaniałe miejsce, które uratowało naszą jedną noc przed safari. Niestety byliśmy zmuszeni znaleźć nowy nocleg w ostatniej chwili i Lili Resort przyjął nas po godzinach zameldowania. Okazało się, ze to wspaniale miejsce, którego nie udało mi się wcześniej znaleźć. Super pokoje, basen, przemiła obsługa młodych ludzi. Dobre i duże śniadanie, zorganizowane po safari. Byli również przygotowani na braki prądu-w każdym pokoju znajdowała się specjalna naładowana lampa. Lokalizacja niedaleko parku, także świetna baza wypadowa na safari… Byliśmy tam z maluchami 6 miesięcy, 2 lata, 3 lata i 4 :) cudowne miejsce dla rodziny :)

Wszystko byłoby super, gdyby nie to, ze na koniec właścicielka chciała na nas przerzucić koszty opłat za booking. Niby stosunkowo mała kwota, ale jednak niesmak pozostał..

Shehan and Shashi were amazing, the service and the food was excellent. They were so accommodating to all our needs and dietary requirements. They recommended a place for dinner and organised a tuk tuk driver, they exceeded our expectations and more. I would highly recommend staying at the Lily resort

A fridge in the room to keep water cold, but everything else was perfect. The beds are comfy and the whole property is very clean

There are 2 family rooms and 1 double room - we had the family room which has 2 double beds. Very comfortable! The area has lots of wildlife and the pool is great fun to play in.

The family room we stayed in is situated close to the reception area, therefore you can hear voices from staff - at times loud when they are talking to each other from across the property. It didn’t bother us much but if you like your sleep it may bother you early in the morning.

Sehr gepflegtes kleines Resort mit Pool. Als wir ankamen, lagen schon Handtücher am Pool für uns bereit. Das Personal war stets aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und hat uns eine unvergessliche Safari organisiert. Ruhige Lage, da nicht unmittelbar an der Straße gelegen.

Rustig gelegen accommodatie met een heerlijk zwembad erbij en Mr Shevan maakt het geheel af met eerste klas service. Ze bieden ook was service aan en het eten wordt vers bereidt en smaakt geweldig en enorm sportief geprijsd. Kamers zijn van fijn format simpel en schoon.

What an amazing find this place was. Upon arrival we received welcome drinks from the 2 members of staff who showed us to our room overlooking the pool with beautiful lighting. They cooked us a terrific meal and were very attentive without being intrusive. The room itself was spacious and I would say the only thing it could have done with was a small fridge but everything else you needed was there. Good air conditioning, storage, large bathroom and excellent shower. Our balcony area had sun chairs and table so you could enjoy a drink whilst overlooking the pretty garden and pool area. At the pool we were given complimentary drinks and they could not have done any more for us. The place is nicely situated, away from busy areas but close enough to safari at Udawalawa which we did and loved It was a shame to have to leave, Shehan is a fantastic cook and a very welcoming host, this place is a bargain and would recommend to anybody

A fridge is only improvement room could have

Shehan was a brilliant host from the moment we arrived until the minute we left. Welcome drinks on arrival, cooked us fabulous well priced meals. He and his colleague were very attentive putting out towels by pool, giving us complimentary water and poolside drinks during the day. The room is very spacious and bathroom big. Air conditioning very good, shower is excellent too. I could not fault this place it is excellent value for money

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet établissement, un personnel aux petits soins, une très belle piscine, et une chambre très agréable. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent. Plus que tout, l’aide précisée qu’Hiruni nous a apportée dans la préparation de ce séjour, du safari et plus largement dans notre séjour au Sri Lanka a été exceptionnelle. On recommande à 1000% !

This time we chose Udawala for our family excursion. When we were looking for accommodation around Udawala, we came across Lily Resort Udawala. We gave it a phone call and booked it and we got their support immediately..all the details were clearly presented to us. We went there on 8/9 and 10 of March and the Lily Resort was very attractive. Its swimming pool with many facilities was very attractive and stole our hearts. At night, it was very beautiful with colored light bulbs. The beautiful relaxing chair that was used for near the pool was also very beautiful. The rooms are equipped with beautiful air conditioners and are equipped with facilities. We should talk about the food in particular. Since we booked the entire resort, we had buffet-style food and drinks on all the days we were there and the different views of each other were delicious. We really appreciate their service as the best thing here. Even though the volume is small, but it was a quick and friendly service without any defects. We express our special thanks to Mr. Saman Chandana Kumara for his wonderful service .Also, the work done by Mr. Shehan Hasanka is very valuable. Very nice person .and we cant forget mrs hiruni for her kindly service Highly recommended this place for every person who like to go udawalawe .
