A smallish resort catering for luxury villas and hotel rooms. Due to its size the service was much more personal. Breakfast is served à la carte with plenty of choice. Indeed the Flow Restaurant then continues to serve food all day long. As we had pre-booked the B&B deal for our room we also received complimentary afternoon tea. The complex is only a few years old and as such is in very good condition.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gepflegt, neu, es hatte alles was man braucht! Und wenn etwas gefehlt hat, wurde es auf Nachfrage direkt geliefert! Egal was es war.

Der Sand könnte etwas feiner / schöner sein. Sonst top! Beim Essen / Bar konnte man etwas öfter bereitstehen und schneller sein. Manchmal super, manchmal etwas langsam. Aber das ist großes Jammern.. das fehlt aber zum perfekten Aufenthalt!

We had a lovely stay at Sumitra for two weeks. The room was lovely , the staff are excellent and always had a smile , the lazy river was a highlight for us and we swam everyday, they had great live music on some evenings which we also enjoyed. We will definitely be back.

Large very clean rooms with big bathrooms. The a-la-carte breakfast was particularly good and much better than having cold food sitting around a buffet area. There was no limit to how many dishes you may order. Very close to the beach also but unfortunately the beach was not suitable for swimming.

Bean bag seating on the beach is not the best for guests with weak leg strength and proper sun loungers would be better. Otherwise everything else was great.

Een lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt. Heel aangenaam dat we buiten konden ontbijten. Het personeel was heel attent. Hele mooie kamers, de badkamer was geweldig en van alle benodigdheden voorzien. Er is extra aandacht geschonken aan onze honeymoon met leuke attenties. Een groot bad met elke dag opnieuw een bruisbal. Een super pluspunt dat we fietsen konden huren.

De kinderen die regelmatig rond het zwembad voor overlast zorgden. Dit werd tevens gemeld door verschillende mensen die het niet konden appreciëren. Je hebt overal wel kinderen/mensen die het uithangen. Persoonlijk zou ik veel kordater hierop reageren. Handdoekje leggen. Voor het ontbijt werd de handdoek gelegd, nadien ontbijten en dan gaan wandelen. Elke dag hebben we dit meegemaakt. Hier zou ook beter op toegezien worden. Wifi was meerdere momenten een drama. 2 dagen wifiproblemen waardoor we geen tv of internet hadden. Wij kunnen wel eens genieten van een goeie film op verlof vermits we in ons dagelijks leven daar nooit de tijd voor hebben. Spijtig dat dit net in onze periode viel, maar daar kan het hotel niets aan doen.

The resort was truly fantastic, from the design and architecture of the resort, the rooms and the private pool, to the location of the resort, with Sanur beach being less than 10 steps away. This newly built resort was truly exceptional. A special thank you to all the staff and Yuga, who ensured that we enjoyed our stay and that all our needs were met.

La vue est magnifique ( mais pas de coucher de soleil). La chambre est superbe Le restaurant est de qualité pour un prix correct. Les piscines sont agréables, l’accès à la plage est simple. Le personnel est très accueillant.

La piscine n est pas chauffée et même avec le soleil elle n est vraiment pas chaude alors qu’elle n’est pas d un volume énorme il serait intéressant de trouver un système pour la chauffer un peu ( surtout au prix de la chambre) pour qu’on puisse en profiter. Le matelas est trop mou ( mais c’est toujours un point de vue personnel) nous avons eu mal au dos ce qui ne nous est pas arrivé dans les autres hôtels.

The property is lovely

Sometimes it was hard to get a sunbed. They have a current pool, which needs more current flowing through it to be called a real current pool. The breakfast menu is limited.

The resort is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Beds and pillows are super comfy and the Villa’s are well thought out and are beautifully presented.

We stayed in a villa. Total privacy with own pool. At the front door was a fish pond which greeted us every day. We looked forward to the bedtime stories left in room to read. All the staff who worked on property were outstanding and so happy. At night we would enjoy the entertainment provided while overlooking the beach. The flute player was a real treat.

The Staff at the Kids Club were AMAZING! Having free access to bikes was great, to be able to ride up and down the boardwalk area. The room was lovely, but had to remind the housekeeping staff on a number of activities, like replacing water and replacing the towels, so that could be better too.

Lovely, but for a 5* resort, and amount paid for the stay, their are better resorts with better rooms + facilities + staff + housekeeping. The breakfast is a la carte but when asking for additional meals, more often than not, got judged for additional meals, so not the best value for money comparison to other hotels. Additionally, comparatively to the price of the stay, and having stayed at a number of other 5 star resorts in Bali, compared to what the cost of the stay was the resort wasn't as good as a number of them.

The size and location of the hotel were perfect, it was small enough that it felt exclusive while big enough that it has everything we could want!

Sehr schönes Hotel direkt am Strand von Sanur mit Pool und einem Flüsschen, auf dem man durch die Anlage treiben kann, schönes großes Zimmer mit Balkon (ich hatte Meerblick), sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Super Frühstück! Sehr große Auswahl (kein Buffet, man bestellt einfach, was man möchte). Alles sauber und gepflegt. Natürlich kann man viel günstigere Unterkünfte in Sanur (und Bali allgemein) finden, auch wirklich sehr gute. Das Sumitra ist halt ein höherer Luxus-Level.

Es gibt nichts, das mir nicht gefallen hat.

Unser Aufenthalt im Sumitra Luxury Villas & Resort by Pramana war einfach rundum fantastisch. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und vermittelt eine ruhige, luxuriöse Atmosphäre. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir jedoch das außergewöhnlich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns unglaublich willkommen und bestens betreut gefühlt. Jeder Wunsch wurde mit einem Lächeln erfüllt, und man merkt wirklich, dass hier großer Wert auf persönlichen Service und das Wohl der Gäste gelegt wird. Unsere Villa war wunderschön, sauber und komfortabel, und auch die gesamte Anlage mit Pool und Außenbereich war perfekt zum Entspannen. Ein absolut besonderer Ort, an dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt.

Ganz ehrlich: Wir können kaum etwas Negatives nennen. Unser Aufenthalt war durchweg hervorragend und hat unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Wenn überhaupt, war der einzige Nachteil, dass wir irgendwann wieder abreisen mussten. 😊

Everything. The staff was exceptional. We don't speak English very well and every single person took the time to explain things with patience, kindness and a smile. We were even upgraded to a villa after a cancellation, they genuinely go above and beyond and it feels sincere. The rooms and housekeeping are impeccable, the gym is superb, we trained every day. The food is excellent, we are French and used to eating very well, and we were not disappointed. The pools are incredible, a large one by the restaurant and a huge lagoon with a current where you float on a tube for long relaxing minutes. Unforgettable.

Nothing to report. Honestly we can't think of anything to improve, everything was spotless, well organized and handled with care.

Incredible staff friendly and accomodating, fantastic location easy to walk up the beach to busier areas but in a nice quiet pocket at the end of the beach which we loved. Lots todo right in front of the resort aswell jet skis , kite surfing, paddle bikes etc

The location is lovely, with a nice walk on the beach. The room is nice and clean, with a unique view of the sea, unlike any other sea view you have had before. The balcony is generously sized, and the lazy river is just a nice touch.

The lighting is a bit troublesome if you are someone who needs minimal lighting at night. The grid, semi-transparent design between the bedroom and the bathroom is not totally ideal, possible to improve?

Everything, the staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us and happy to chat. The rooms were great, with huge king size beds, and the bathroom with separate shower and bath was perfect. We had a garden view room which was peaceful. The pool is superb although it might be a struggle to get a day beds when the third wing is completed, you do have the option to use the bean bags out on the beach. Breakfast was excellent in the form of al la cart buffet.

We loved every aspect of our stay. Our entire experience was extraordinary! We highly recommend Sumitra for their outstanding customer service, location, the pool, the food, our room and a rare find for me is a comfortable pillow. Everyone at the Sumitra made us feel that we were at home. We stayed for 19 days and were sad to leave. We will most certainly be back!!!

The on site lazy river is awesome! Also has one of the best breakfasts we have had in Bali.

Is right at the South end of Sanur which means it is nice and quiet but also means it’s a fair walk into the centre of things.

Sehr höfliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, insgesamt sehr neue Anlage mit super Ausstattung, Essen lecker, super Frühstück - a la Carte so viel man möchte.

Wir haben den Preis pro Nacht als zu hoch empfunden, trotz der sehr guten Lage direkt am Meer wird hier ein Übernachtungspreis aufgerufen der für bali sehr teurer ist - wir haben für deutlich weniger Geld in anderen 5 Sterne Hotels auf Bali genauso gut übernachtet. Auch das Essen im Restaurant ist zu teuer - die Qualität war in Ordnung aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Es wird zudem ein Flughafentransfer angeboten - 500.000 IDR plus Steuer. Viel zu teuer - über Grab kann man hier für ein Bruchteil des Preises zum Flughafen fahren. Insgesamt hatten wir hier den Eindruck dass die Preise insgesamt für Indonesien zu hoch angesetzt sind - zumal andere 5 Sterne Hotels die gleiche Leistung für weniger Geld bieten.

The resort itself was really amazing, the staff were all really genuinely beautiful people, best service ever.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble, we really felt taken care of. The resort had everything we needed, the pool, the bean bags on the beach, the lazy river and exceptional food at the restaurant.

the location is fantastic as its right in front of the beach and at the beginning of the road with all the restaurants. but the best part of the experience was the amazing atention to detail and kindness of all the staff. every single member of staff were amazing. the facilities were always clean and ready to use and the entire hotel just gave you a good nice and relax vibe. will defo return.

Breakfast was amazing. Lazy river and pool were exceptional. There are bikes that you can use for the day at no charge which is an amazing way to get around. Great location.

We booked our bags to be collected first thing at 645am and they were not collected till 710 which was disappointing. Was a bit challenging to get a drink or service.

Un véritable havre de paix ! Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel. Le cadre est magnifique, avec une superbe vue sur la piscine et la plage, et les chambres sont très confortables. Le personnel est adorable, toujours souriant, attentionné et vraiment aux petits soins tout au long du séjour. L’emplacement est également idéal pour profiter pleinement de Sanur. Une très belle adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter !

The location is a little further out from the main Sanur area, however it's either a good walk or $2-3 in a taxi

We loved the room we got and the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful . They went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed and spoilt us with a cake for our anniversary. Highly recommend . Loved the pool and the view from breakfast was so peaceful .

The pool the view from the breakfast area is so serene and the view to the ocean just captivating . The room we had wasn’t too far to everything and the proximity to the beach and walking path was so handy

Excellent in every way

Everything was perfect! The staff were amazing and incredibly kind, especially Ika, Puteri, Madhu, Oka, and Yogi, who made our stay truly wonderful. An amazing place for families with kids, just a short walk from the beach and a quick bike ride to Icon Mall. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back!

The staff are exceptional. So caring, friendly and eager to help, always with a smile and a chat. Beautiful room, spacious and comfortable ( loved the firm bed), beautiful bathroom and amenities. Enjoyed the balcony and clothes rack for drying. Nespresso machine great. Pool area divine to chill and read a book, great music, vibe, yummy breakfast and cocktails. The bikes were well used by us and we loved the quiet location was perfect. Used gojek ( like uber) to get to further restaurants etc very easy. Lazy river was fun and relaxing. Burgers and sandwiches poolside delicious. A special thanks to manager Tri who surprised us with a romantic flower bath, and local snacks. Suksma!

A minor thing but our (flat white) coffees not great... something to work on. Didn't use the spa as very expensive relative to others ( including a high end one we went to on Nusa Lembongan)

It is a beautiful resort. The gardens, beach views and dinning area were delightful. The pool and lazy river were lovely. The restaurant food too was well presented, prompt and delicious. Staff were always friendly and attentive.

The breakfast was amazing, the hotel location was brilliant - I rode a push bike for the first time in 35 years, and it was fun. I would definitely stay here again.

The only suggestion I would like to make, is maybe a small flag on the back of the beach lounge chairs, when sunbathing, that way you can put your flag up for service, instead of having to walk into the restaurant to request service -its only very minor, but I think it would make a big difference.

Slightly pricy onward travel arrangements through the reception, but in fairness all they did was link us to a travel agent.

Everything was perfect. It seriously is the best hotel in the entire beachfront strip of Sanur. Quiet and boutique feel wth the best staff. Especially the lovely Ms Utik but everyone was so friendly and sincerely helpful. Great big rooms and the view from the restaurant and pool is gorgeous. We also loved the food and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here.

The staff are absolutely exceptional and were so attentive, kind, friendly while showing outstanding attention to detail. The resort itself is amazing and lovely to stay in. The pool is super inviting and there is plenty of seating pool & beachside. Fantastic gym facility as well.

The location was on a beautiful beachfront (watching kite surfers over breakfast), however, at the end of the neighbourhood. It was a lovely walk each morning but did take some time to get into the main parts of town. There is plenty to do close by and town is a short taxi trip away if you're not keen on the stroll.

The staff where very friendly, there were a couple of speed hump's on our first night, but they did more than try and make up for it, after all they've only been open for a couple of year's and endeavoring to make it one of the place you should stay. The rooms where amazing, clean , big and we'll set out.

One of the only things I didn't like, it was a long way from everything, but that can be a good thing. They could also pick up the service around pool area, need people coming around, and also some menu's on the lounge table's.

The Sumitra should be rated 7 stars!!!! Everything about this hotel from the moment we arrived was luxe. The staff are amazingly helpful, you're assigned a "butler" for your room who helps with everything, the rooms are oversized and the shower and bath are to die for. I'd live at this hotel we loved it so much! The free bikes you can ride were a fun bonus, and the beachfront location is awesome. We also loved the lazy river and the pool staff and restaraunt staff were the best.

The staff were outstanding. And accommodating. Everything was perfect. The room was outstanding, the cafe and pool were also outstanding. I loved my stay here. And I loved the bikes. I probably didn't get to use them until later into my stay but after discovering their advantages, I used them all the time. Loved this place sooo much.

I didn't like being charged for the lock on my bike that wasn't my fault. the staff member attached it to my bike basket but didn't lock it. If I had done it I would have locked it to the basket but I just assumed he had. I then got chased for the money. After such a wonderful trip and stay it didn't sit well. I thought it was petty. I didn't explain the situation because I thought what happened to the staff member not locking it to my basket was petty. He was working hard and forgot. but why chase $$$ for something so small.
