I wasn’t aware that they suspended the free shuttle service to the haram in preparation for the hajj period. That meant we had to pay for a taxi. However the cheaper hotel rate & excellent service from staff made up this unforeseen issue.

عدم وجود مواقف للسيارات روائح التدخين في الغرف عدم وجود عزل بين الغرف تسمع الغرف اللي جنبك الفطور محدود جدا وبعض أصناف الاكل غير طازج سعر الغرف مبالغ فيه جدا مقارنة بالخدمة عدم وجود مساجد قريبة التكييف في بعض الغرف سي جدا الفندق تغير للأسوأ

Only slight downside is they don’t offer transport to Masjid Al Haram despite it being mentioned in the reviews.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Neat and clean and decent rooms. I would advise to stay here all facilities are available and no need to pay extra charges for expensive hotel. The taxi will not cost £100 for few days i guess. No issue of food all shops are local. I will stay again.
Lights need to be improved perhaps carpets in room as well. But as such no issues or reason no to like it.

Breakfast ratings here were deceiving. It was rated v good although in my view it was average. Lacked variety and was mainly catered for the Arab audience with little western styled options. Also they ran out of fruit very quickly every time likewise with coffee.

المكان بعيد عن الحرم لا ينفع المشي قريب بالمواصلات بسبب وجود كباري بينة وبين الحرم ثانيا موظفتي الاستقبال للاسف لا يصلحان لاستقبال ناس مسافرين يا ريت يكون عندهم حسن لباقة ويسعون لحل مشاكل التسكين للقادمين لانهم قالو لي روح اشتكي الي بوكنج بدل من السعي لراحة المعتمر

Merci infiniment à Ahmed Abdul Ibrahim pour son professionnalisme qui cherche toujours à satisfaire les besoins des clients ,il est très compétent. La propreté de la chambre était au rendez-vous.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026شكرا جزيلا لموظفي الاستقبال وإدارة الفندق هناك كرم ضيافة واضح ومقصود.. منذ دخول الفندق الاستقبال المريح ومقاعده الوثيرة الكثيرة.. ثم القهوة السعودية الطازجة الساخنة 24 ساعة مع ضيافة حلا لطيفة وقوارير الماء المجانية جوارها.. اما الغرفة فتشكر إدارة الفندق على الكرم والاهتمام بالتفاصيل فهي نظيفة ومريحة ومنكاملة خدمات الضيافة والنظافة الشخصية والوسائد الإضافية.. والتكييف والإضاءة والمقاعد.. وموقع الفندق ممتاز من حيث موقعه القريب من الحرم نسبيا وعلى طريق ام القرى الرئيسي.. شكرا جزيلا..

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026We stayed at Selat Al Bait Hotel and overall had a mixed experience. The staff was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The waiters in the restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. The housekeeping team was very kind and did a great job keeping everything clean, and the laundry service was excellent – a real plus during our stay. We also appreciated the daily availability of dates, small cakes, and water in the lobby.
On the downside, there were a few important issues. Unfortunately, there was no shuttle service to Masjid al-Haram during our stay, which was a significant inconvenience. The hotel is more than a 30-minute walk away, and the route is not very safe or comfortable. As a result, we had to rely on taxis every day, which added extra costs. While this may not be entirely the hotel’s fault, it is still important to mention. Additionally, it was disappointing that we were unable to get coffee in the lobby at any time. It always seemed unavailable or not operational, which felt like a missed opportunity for a hotel service.

Large breakfast selection. Good room facilities. Digital facilities. TV, fridge in room. Near lots of shops. Costs around 10-15 riyals taxi to haram from the hotel. Could have walked around 20 mins but had young kids with us. Very good value for money.
No iron. However the did have in house ironing facilities that you could pay for separately
