Hideout Eco Bamboo House Bali

We kregen een heel welkomst ritueel inclusief een kokosnoot om uit te drinken. Daarna werden we naar ons appartement gebracht, waarbij de koffers voor ons werden gedragen.

Alles zag er prima uit.

Lovely, Instagram worthy, personnel will go out of their way to make your absolutely great.

If it is rainy season, or just raining in general, everything gets damp. That becomes annoying really quickly.

La villa sublime, la vue sur la jungle balinaise, le personnel qui essaie de nous satisfaire malgré la politique de l’hôtel restrictive. La piscine chauffée et le jacuzzi. L’écran rétroprojecteur qui rajoute un plus à cette villa et le feu de camp.

Arrivés à 12h pour un Check-in à 15h, nous avons patienté au bistro. A 14h, nous n’avions toujours pas de nouvelles de notre chambre. Pas de proposition de récupérer la chambre plus tôt malgré notre arrivée certes trop tôt mais aucun effort pour nous permettre l’accès plus tôt que le Check in initial, aucune proposition non plus de déjà avancer nos bagages que nous avons par nous même apporté au lobby qui est à 100m du parking en passant par une route fréquentée. Check in hasardeux, on nous demande nos passeports au moment où nous allons enfin récupérer notre chambre quand nous n’avons plus nos bagages qui sont en chambre à ce moment là. Dîner uniquement en villa, commande doit être passée avant 19:30, après c’est trop tard. La réception n’est pas en 24h/24. Petit déjeuner non livrable en chambre (malgré que le personnel l’ait exceptionnellement fait dû à notre impossibilité de respecter les horaires navette), doit aussi être commandé la veille au soir. Extra charge pour un cappuccino ?? Horaires de navettes pour aller au petit déjeuner restrictives (7:00 / 7:30 / 8:15 / 9:00 / 9:45) et les horaires de retour (8:15 / 9:00 / 9:45 / 10:30 / 11:00). La vue sur la jungle en face de nous comporte des locaux qui y travaillent donc peu d’intimité. Villa la plus chère (flow), juste derrière la réception avec du vis à vis, du bruit et passage du personnel. Pour n’avoir fréquenté que des beaux établissement à Bali, c’est de loin le pire endroit en terme de services. Même si c’est un détail, n’espérez pas pouvoir faire une vidéo drone comme sur le compte Instagram pour garder un souvenir de l’endroit magique, c’est interdit sauf sous leur contrôle à 6h du matin.

Staying at Hideout was genuinely one of the most magical experiences I had in Bali. I was lucky enough to stay in two different houses, Horizon and Element, and although they offer very different experiences, both were unforgettable in their own way. Element felt like living inside a dream. The mountain view is simply breathtaking, combined with a wonderful sense of understated luxury. The comfort was incredible, from doing yoga in the privacy of the house to waking up to the echo of nature all around you. Having a butler available and ready to help with basically any request made the whole experience feel completely effortless. Horizon was magical in a completely different way. Staying in a house made almost entirely of bamboo, with an outdoor bathroom and spaces so open to the surroundings, really gives you the feeling of living within nature. Every little corner was fun to discover and enjoy, and it truly felt like having your own secret hideaway in the middle of the Balinese jungle. The experience goes far beyond the houses themselves. You can have a meal by the river surrounded by nature, or visit the other restaurant overlooking the mountains, with its beautiful pool and incredible scenery. There are also scooters available for guests, making it easy and fun to explore the surroundings. I think Hideout is equally special for a couple looking for a romantic escape or for someone travelling alone who wants a few days of complete retreat, silence and reconnection with nature. I stayed on my own and absolutely loved that feeling of having this beautiful little world to myself. One of those rare stays that becomes part of the trip itself, rather than just a place to sleep. I would go back in a heartbeat.

La nourriture était vraiment médiocre, pour un établissement de ce standing. Je pense qu’il devrait faire appel à un chef étoilé, car tout ce que nous avons commandé n’était vraiment pas bon.

La villa est magnifique, il faut juste prendre conscience qu'elle est en bordure de rizière, donc beaucoup de bruit la nuit du aux nombreux animaux locaux. La villa est éloigné 15 à 20 minutes de la réception à pied et 25 minutes de Sidemen en taxi. Un seul Warung à proximité pour diner mais il faut le coup, c'est très bon ! vue sur les rizières à proximité de l'acceuil.

Le principe générale du complexe, si vous souhaitez mangé il faut commander et se faire livrer à la villa, pas de lieux de restauration commun. Résultat repas froid ! glace fondue etc.... D'une manière générale il manque un complexe restauration pour limiter ce genre de problème (il est en cours de construction d'après ce que l'on a vu, donc cela devrait améliorer les choses). Un peu plus de ponctualité serait aussi apprécié.

Le lieu est exceptionnel. Nous avons séjourné dans la cabane Tantra. Au milieu des rizières et de la jungle avec vue exceptionnelle sur le mont Angun.

Manque de rideaux pour fermer la cabane la nuit. Le bruit des animaux, difficile de trouver le sommeil malgré les boules quies avec le bruit des grenouilles et des gekos toute la nuit

Une seule douche pour 6 personnes et la 3e chambre mise à l’écart

Doğayla içinde sadece size ayrılmış özel bir deneyim sunuyor. Mahremiyete uygun tasarlanmış olması efsane. Sıcak havuzu mükemmeldi. Yemekleri başarılıydı. Personel güler yüzlü ve yardımseverdi. Ubud dan Lempuyang tample ve Tirta ganga ya gidecektik. Ubud ile bu bölge arasında kalan bu otelde bir gece konakladık. Harika oldu. Konaklamanın ertesi günü bu iki konum artı diğer konaklama yerimiz olan canggu için otelden şöförü araç hizmeti aldık. Her şey için teşekkür ederiz :)

El sitio es espectacular y la experiencia de alojarse en una casa de bambú en plena naturaleza tiene muchísimo encanto. La casa es muy bonita, original y el entorno merece mucho la pena. Como punto negativo, nuestra casa estaba bastante lejos del lobby, lo que hace que cualquier desplazamiento resulte algo incómodo. Además, prácticamente todo lo que necesitas tienes que pedirlo para que te lo lleven a la habitación, y el servicio suele tardar bastante. Esto acaba restando comodidad a la estancia, especialmente cuando necesitas algo sencillo o con cierta rapidez. En resumen, es un lugar genial y diferente, que recomendaría por el entorno y la experiencia, pero deberían mejorar bastante la logística y los tiempos de servicio

El hotel esta en un lugar soñada. Cada casa para alojarse es diferente y estan alejadas i as de otras en medio de arrozales. Una mas linda que la otra. Podes hacer caminatas o en moto en la zona. El arrozal esta ahi mismo. El paisaje soñado. Podes almorzar o cenar en lugares cercanos a tu alojamiento, caminando. Volveria sin dudas

Gosh, this was sensational! Better that I was expecting. Having a whole 'villa' to ourselves, very private, hot tub, kitchenette, very very cool building - everything made out of bamboo. It was really a highlight of our trip staying here. There is a small new warung just across the road which we utilised regularly - the food was great and it looked out over the rice paddies. There isn't much else around, so bring your books and enjoy the peace and quiet!

The only thing was the breakfast (which was great) arrived a little cool - due to the fact it had to come from down the road - and it was wrapped in a lot of glad wrap - which for a place wanting to be eco-friendly was a shame.

Hideout flow was echt het mooiste wat we ooit hebben gezien! Niets is echt buiten en niets is echt binnen, wel een dak maar geen ramen. Zo geweldig!! De staf is fantastisch behulpzaam, niets is te gek. Service level 10 / 10!

Wat een fenomenaal huis! Net alsof je in een film bent. Overal plekken om te chillen en buiten slapen onder het geluid van gecko's, kikkers, krekels etc. De rivier suist je in slaap terwijl je uitkijkt over jungle. Bediening aan huis met prima eten en geweldige staf.

Eigenlijk geen minpunten, maar als ik iets moet zeggen: ze geven iedereen een bluetooth speaker, dus zit je minimaal tot 22u naar de muziek van je buren te luisteren ipv de natuur. De een zal daar blij mee zijn, wij vonden het jammer.

Property is beautiful and Flow is an amazing house.

It's like a postcard. A beautiful little bamboo house next to a river in the jungle. You really feel immersed in nature. The team were really helpful and kind to us.

You have to understand that you are sleeping in the jungle and be prepared to experience the wildlife.

Tranquil oasis to relax and recharge. Everything we needed was available through the property, fabulous facilities.

Really small things, but a dishcloth to wash dishes would have been useful.

Nous avons été accueillis avec une petite surprise locale avant de rejoindre notre logement. Dès l’entrée on en a pleins les yeux !! C’est magnifique !! Le personnel est aux petits soins, de l’accueil au service jusqu’au massage tout le personnel est très gentil. Je vous conseille de manger sur place, les plats sont délicieux, le petit déjeuner est bien complet. On communique facilement avec la réception via whatsapp, ils répondent à tous vos besoins. Ils ont organisé notre transfert vers Amed. En résumé vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.

I have been fortunate enough to stay in many luxurious hotels in Montreux, Las Vegas, Paris, Shanghai, New York and more, but nothing compares to the experience we had at Hideout Bali. Here, the real luxury is not about marble lobbies or chandeliers, it is the location, the environment and the feeling of being completely surrounded by nature. It's the sounds of the various animals day and night. Being in the warm pool, looking at nature. Every time you look at the landscape, it feels like you are seeing a different place: the river, the lush rice fields and the jungle atmosphere create a living painting that is constantly changing. Being in the middle of nature – almost in the heart of the jungle – is both calming and exhilarating, and it makes you slow down, breathe and simply enjoy the moment. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the kindness and genuine warmth of everyone we met there. From arrival to departure, we felt taken care of, welcomed and respected, as if we were visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel. Thanks to this unique place and its wonderful team, our stay in Bali became a once‑in‑a‑lifetime memory that we will cherish for a very long time.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure our time at Hideout was perfect. They use text messages through WhatsApp to communicate, so we could text them for anything we needed and they would bring it to us promptly, including meal service. Everyone was so incredibly friendly. The energy and atmosphere of the Zen hideout we stayed in was nothing short of magical. Literally perfect!

Ordering taxi service through apps is very difficult there since its very secluded. You have to pay extra for the hotel to arrange a driver.

We liked jungle, friendly helpful staff. Setting, guided wal to waterfall, breakfast by river, jungle shower, Massage ladies are excellent. Wyan was our guide and batik teacher, so lovely and helpful. Very nice man.Wyn our driver was so knowledgeable and considerate to our needs, very nice man. Also he is good driver and friendly. We plan to bring family next time as this place is very special .

We hebben prachtige foto’s. Het huis is werkelijk waar prachtig en de staf / crew willen alles doen om het naar je zin te maken.

Het huis is open en dus veel insecten (logisch). Voor onze gezin was dit te “eco”! Dit was ons duurste hotel maar na een slechte nacht wilde we gelijk door naar ons volgende hotel. Doordat alles bezorgd moet worden vanuit een keuken die op 4 min afstand zit met heel veel trappen naar het huisje toe is het dan ook niet meer dan logische dat het eten niet meer warm genoeg is. Ik zelf had pasta met truffel besteld (zonder kip omdat ik vega ben ) maar de porti was voor mij niet voldoende. Zorg dat je zelf wat extra proviand bij je hebt. Het voelt niet goed om deze lieve mensen een mindere recensie te geven maar als we dit vooraf hadden geweten hadden we het niet geboekt.

This place exceeded our expectations. We had a private garden, the sound of the river in the background, and our little bamboo house looked absolutely beautiful. The setting felt very peaceful and immersed in nature. The first night was a bit challenging because, being a bamboo house, you can hear all the sounds of the jungle very clearly. However, we adapted quickly, and after that it became part of the experience. Waking up surrounded by nature was truly special. The accommodation also provided us with a scooter, which made exploring the area so easy. We took a ride to Virgin Beach, about 45-60 minutes away, and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful road trips we've ever done. The scenery along the way was absolutely stunning!

We honestly couldn't find anything to complain about.

For our 10th wedding anniversary, we booked a special package that included beautiful bed decorations, a couples massage, and a luxurious dinner. It was truly a magical and unforgettable night in every sense of the word. You are truly surrounded by nature here, so occasional wildlife visitors are part of the authentic jungle experience. If you expect a fully sealed city-style hotel, this may not be the right place — but if you love nature and peaceful jungle vibes, you’ll absolutely enjoy it.

My wife and I stayed at the Flow House and it was absolutely breathtaking. This felt so luxurious but also grounded at the same time because we were immersed in the jungle and in nature. Surprisingly we didn’t experience any mosquitos and loved seeing the geckos and frogs around the area - please note, my wife was very nervous staying in a so place wide open to nature but once we arrived she felt very comfortable. This was an incredible experience and the staff was so friendly with the best service

We stayed in the Beehive at the Hideout for one night and it was the most wonderful, relaxing experience. The staff greets you upon arrival with fresh cold coconuts and then they led us to our Beehive. For dinner we got to experience the traditional Balinese shared meal, mugibeng, on Fridays they offer this), and two Balinese dancers performed to live bamboo music. The Hideout was a great place to unwind after the crowds and chaos of Ubud. Winarta was a wonderful driver who took is to our next hotel in Sideman. We wish we could have stayed more nights here! They even brought out a birthday cake for our son! Our 8-year old really loved exploring this place too!

Everything was exceptional—the staff, the service, the impeccable cleanliness. I asked if we could have the light near the river turned off so that we could enjoy the natural darkness, and a staff member tried to accommodate us, but light wouldn’t turn off.

This place was a dream! Fantastic bamboo villa with its own yard to enjoy. The outside shower was definitely a highlight as well as an outdoor tub, which included a basket of flowers to place in the tub. Everything was very perfect! The Bluetooth speaker in the room was fun and I loved disconnecting from technology, even though they did have wifi to contact room services through whats app.

I really have no complaints. We didn't encounter any bugs, which I thought might be bothersome. I did see a lizard on the roof in the evening but it never seemed to move or both us.

The views were surreal and location was top notch. The villa wasn't quite ready when we arrived so free massages were offered while we waited. Amazing! Staff is friendly, helpful, and the food delicious. I can't wait to go back and stay longer.

What not to like? The place is amazing and love the jungle sounds.

It was too remote

We really enjoyed our stay. Being surrounded by nature was extremely relaxing. The sound of the running river blocked out all the surrounding noise, it really helps to feel disconnected from the world. We took a batik class offered on the premises. It’s was incredible. And made for an awesome and special souvenir. The staff were amazing as well. Very friendly and helpful. The food was good, the juices were amazing. Would definitely come again.

It wasn’t a problem, but might be useful to know (since I didn’t), when traveling during monsoon/winter/rainy season, the little stream turn into a river. Which is pretty loud. Its sound was relaxing, but made me want to go to the bathroom all the time. And at night I had to use the earplugs to block the sound.

Wir haben im Falcon übernachtet das Haus ist sehr schön sowie der Garten. Eine Oase zum sich erholen. Allerdings muss man wissen das es eine Teich im Garten hat und ein wunderschönes Frosch Konzert in der Nacht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Das Essen ist kaum geniessbar wir haben mehrere Sachen bestellt sie machen überall enorm viel Knoblauch rein und ansonsten ist es eher fad im Geschmack. Auch das Frühstück lässt zu wünschen übrig gerade bei diesen Preisen. Da dürfen sie sich um einiges verbessern

The villa was impressive, beautifully designed, and blended perfectly with its surroundings. What I loved most is how thoughtful and intentional everything feels, you’re immersed in nature without sacrificing comfort. The staff were warm, helpful, and genuinely kind, and the food was very good, especially considering how remote the property is.

There is nothing I didn’t like. Everything was great, truly . However take into consideration the location and make the itinerary according to it.

It’s so beautiful and spacious. We loved the facilities and the staff are very friendly. The massage team were great and my kids had their first ever massage, the ladies were kind and gentle.

The kitchen was being renovated so our breakfast was cold soggy toast.

Fantastic stay. Out and open to the jungle. Luxurious and comfortable. Excellent food. Great friendly staff. Once in a life time experience.

As the place is open to the forest, be prepared to encounter rats, bats, leaches, mosquitoes lizards and other insects. Limited and fixed food menu. Not for you if you want privacy.

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Always checking in on us to see what we needed. They even offered us complimentary dinner one night! The property is gorgeous. Any negative reviews I’ve seen are from people who booked this expecting western standards in the middle of a jungle! It’s meant to be a soothing disconnect that brings you closer to nature. It’s not a western 5 star hotel and it’s not meant to be. But if you have an adventurous spirit this place will leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated!

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The property was breathtaking. We loved the service that was provided for breakfast and dinner. Also, the staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs.

The ants were a bit of a problem. They swarmed on our food the minute we sat our plates down to eat. Also, they were in the bed and crawling on us at times. In addition, we wished there were paper towels as well as power outlets downstairs to charge our phones.

My stay at Hideout Eco Bamboo House Bali was truly unforgettable. The bamboo design, the river, and the surrounding jungle made it feel like I was living inside a tropical daydream. It’s peaceful, cosy, and beautifully crafted — the perfect escape from everything. One of the highlights was having a massage with a lovely lady called Bunga. She was incredible and made the whole experience even more relaxing and special. The staff were warm and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the whole place just felt magical. If you’re looking for a unique, nature-filled getaway, Hideout is absolutely worth it.
