Secana Beachtown Resort & Villas

Hotel is located in the heart of Canggu which very convenient to just walk around instead of spending time in the traffic. This, however, means that you can hear construction site noise in the morning and beach club music in the evening and night. Hotel seems to be fairly new and the rooftop are was a nice spot to spend the day by the pool and watch the sunset later. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The loft rooms bedroom area seems to have a very low ceiling, so we had to report it to the hotel as my husband simply couldn’t stand there, not to mention take a shower etc. The hotel offered paid upgrades to the villa, which we had to take as they did my have any other room type. The villa, however, was a 3 bedroom villa with 2 locked rooms and not a 1 bedroom villa as was offered. So, we had to walk to floors up to get to the bedroom. There was a construction site right next to it. Very interesting way to solve one issue by creating another! Villas have smart lighting system, so every switch is lighten up no matter what time of a day it is, the A/C shows you what temperature there’s all night too and the wi-fi router is right above the bed. Remember the beach club parties? So, you have a full immersion of being in a spaceship. This was quiet uncomfortable to sleep and there was no way to cover any of it. Some amenities and towels were not replenished daily. The pool was very small for a 3 bedroom villa, and also the garden and pool area did not seem to be cleaned or serviced. Nevertheless, we had enjoyed the spaces and our time time at Secana.

Solo un pequeño comentario, si pusieran microondas sería mejor, si el departamento tiene cocina debería tener microondas para calentar la comida que se prepara.

Dining options were great. Staff were great (especially Rian!) In house spa treatments and dining were utilised and appreciated.

Facilities are fantastic. Gym is amazing. Loved the sauna. The rooftop is great and the food. They made my birthday special, the staff came to my room with a cake singing happy birthday. So sweet. They were so kind helping me with the doctor when my partner got food poisoning. Absolutely love staying here. The loft is beautiful and roomy! Can’t fault this place.

Secana Beachtown was the perfect property for us. We loved the pool area and the in-house reformer Pilates. The daily breakfast was so good - not the usual hotel style buffet, but plenty of choices from the a la carte menu. Our room was elegant and clean - our daughter slept on a roll-out bed which was comfortable and there was still plenty of space in the living area. We loved walking to the main street of Cangu via the beach, which was busy with tourists and locals both day and night. I celebrated my birthday there and the staff bought me a cake and sang happy birthday during breakfast, which was a lovely touch!

We had a wonderful stay at Secana Resort & Spa. The location is very central, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed the gym, sauna, spa, and the convenient shuttle service. The à la carte breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great selection of fresh, high-quality meals. The staff were consistently responsive, friendly, and courteous, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL This is to inform all of u guys that i have made a booking at secana beachfront hotel thru booking.com from 13th july to 16th july 2026 which later i extend it to 17th july 2026 from hotel. on 17 july 2026 upon check out i found out that 2800 usd and 1 million indonesian rupiah were stolen from my room safety deposit box. My room # was 405 . I want booking.com to help me recover my financial loss from the hotel because it has completely ruined our holiday experience in bali. I have filed a complain report to hotel and also filed official police report to police station. POLICE REPORT ATTACHED

The gym was absolutely fantastic. Undersold if anything during the booking process, it looks small on the photos. Breakfast was fantastic, staff were lovely.

Aircon was harsh - even on the lowest setting it made us feel groggy and a little ill in the mornings.

Exceded our expectations. Staff was great. Loft room was perfect. Pool was really relaxing. The rooftop restaurant was spectacular at sunset. The gym exceeded our expectations in every way. But the best part of all was the breakfast. Would definitely visit again.

The facilities were excellent and the overall atmosphere of the resort was really impressive. The pool area, grounds, and rooms were all well maintained. What stood out most was the hospitality from the staff. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the stay. Great location in Canggu as well.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom pool villa with friends (2 couples) for 4 nights and we all loved our stayed here. We were very impressed with the villa, gym, sauna/cold plunge, rooftop pool/ bar / restaurant, the helpful staff and all the facilities. It has a Soho House London / Miami type vibe at the rooftop pool / bar area - very cool. Lovely to sit and watch the sunset with a few cocktails!! The food in the cafe / breakfast area downstairs was all very good too. We joined a yoga class one morning, which was very good, and we used the sauna and cold plunge every morning, too - such a bonus having this facility! Another added bonus is the hotel buggy - the staff will drive you and drop you to anywhere in the Berewa area. Very easy to get to places like Finns Beach Club quickly and easily!

It smelt. Both toilets in the property were faulty, one leaked and the other wouldn’t flush properly. The shower looked grubby . The hot/cold water dispenser leaked.

Although it is not closest to the seaside, you can still enjoy the seaview at the rooftop. The gym is well-equipped. The food at the rooftop restaurant is also very nice, especially the calamari.

It was a little disappointed when they have texted me about the minibar which we have not taken any of them, seemingly a problem on their side when refilling the minibar. The nearby areas are still developing, some construction still going on. The rooftop pool is a bit small. The hygiene of the recovery area needs to be improved since we can smell pee in the sauna's shower.

Would be better to have a sheltered drop off point, was drenched afew times, the room door was hard to tap in, didnt work sometimes, have to keep trying.
