Reviewed Jan 9, 2026It was close to the Ernakulam bus stop and good to go to places inland, away from the main Kochi island. Once more people arrived, they organized some social events that were cool. They also have an in house kitchen so you can order food! It’s a great last resort if you don’t want to go out.
For the location, you needed to plan for your visit to the main Kochi area since it required transport and traffic happens at different times of day. It’s a bit of a walk to any food places, so you need time or a tuk tuk/motorbike.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2025The dormitory is beautiful and probably the best I've ever been in. Had a Scandinavian feel to it as spacious and clean. Bathroom also spacious. However mostly male staff work here and they just walk into the all female dorms. One knock and they come in. Also when being cleaned through the day the doors are left open so rooms fill with mosquitos. You try and explain this and they can't understand English. Also no curtains for each bed so no privacy. Also serves meat at the hostel which I find unacceptable as its a Hindu country and no one visits India to eat meat.

Reviewed Nov 17, 2024I liked everything about the property, from the comfort, staff, cleanliness, approach etc. Personally, I liked Mr Deepak and his extra ordinary hospitality service which is required in this kind of consumer business. He understood my needs, situation and helped me within professional limits and personal capacity. The cooking staff ensured, I feel satisfied after dining. Especially, i enjoyed the Biryani on Sunday’s and the way they took care of the food Every staff member was quite caring and helpful

Reviewed Oct 26, 2024I had my hopes up prior to getting to Zostel. I was disappointed-I had picked the 6 sharong female dorm.. the rooms weren’t great. The AC doesn’t work. There’s insane amounts of mosquitoes all the time especially post sunset. The toilet flush was leaking and water was flowing the entire 3 days I stayed at the hostel. The fab regulator only runs on 1 speed. The staff aren’t as competent in their work. I jad originally booked for 2 nights and the morning of the check out. I extended my stay. However, the staff assumed I left and moved all my stuff from my bed and reallocated my bunk to a new booker. Absolute disaster
