This is beautifully decorated B&B. Very clean. Everything you need and vickie is a very welcoming host. Breakfast was fantastic and would highly recommend it to everyone who visits Penrith and needs a cosy room and bed for a night or more. Stayed here twice and definitely is one of loveliest places I have been to and we travel alot Thank you Vickie.

We had a fabulous stay and Vickie was friendly and approachable. The house and room was impeccable with complementary dressing gowns to enable us to enjoy the plentiful refreshments in comfort. The breakfast was delicious and Vickie kindly gave us a late check out to allow us to get ready without rushing. Parking was available readily at the front of the property.

Very clean and everything we needed. Lots of lovely extras like dressing gowns, snacks and toiletries . Big spacious room and bed. Whole place was super clean and inviting. Shower was powerful and hot . Host was so friendly and welcoming. Very impressed and would have liked to have had longer!

Check-in was easy. The place is a short level walk to the town centre, with a range of independent restaurants & shops. The breakfast here was generous & delicious. The place was very clean. Vickie was friendly.

There was too much road noise for us & we were awakened by late night revellers on the street. This is outside Vickie's control, however. If we stayed again, we'd request a room at the back of the property and/or bring earplugs.

Good location for anything in Penrith. Vickie (the hostess) was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable with good blackout blinds to help make the room dark. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was somewhat on the small side and right next to a busy (and noisy) road - fortunately I had some earplugs with me.

Vicky has obviously thought through all aspects of what her guests would be and provided well equipped rooms when others only provided the bare minimum. Things such as nice skin and hand lotion in bathroom. Full length mirror and plenty of tea, coffee and snacks. Breakfast was excellent.

We had a squeaky ensuite door which we told Vicky about and she said she would oil. Minor issue but being of a certain demographic we noticed during the night.

The breakfast at Abbey House was amazing, they’d really thought of everything, bathroom super modern and bedroom clean! Really enjoyed our stay, great access to bus and train station also.

The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, cosy, and incredibly well stocked. The little extras really made a difference – the Mini Cheddars were such a nice touch, and we also loved the shortbread and rocky road waiting for us in the room. 😋 The bathroom was modern and well equipped, with plenty of toiletries provided, including body lotion and other thoughtful essentials. The bathrobes and little chocolates left on the bed were a cute touch to come into. Breakfast was absolutely amazing 😍 with a huge selection of teas to choose from and delicious food. The lady running the B&B was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely lovely! You can clearly tell a lot of thought has been put into this B&B, and it was those extra touches that made it for me. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay!

Host Vickie was so friendly and accommodating- from recommending places to eat, sorting parking and agreeing to serve early breakfast( on a Sunday!) as we needed to head off earlier than expected. Breakfast was superb, lots of choice and beautifully cooked. Lots of little personal touches in the room were appreciated and love Abbey House low impact/ avoiding plastics approach too

Warm cosy lobby with beautiful scented candles. Spacious room. Great selection of complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. Great breakfast. Super selection of cereal bars in addition to cereal. Proximity to town centre perfect. Owner very responsive to all communication prior to travel.

Parking is difficult. We were fortunate to get one of the 2 spaces at rear of property but there was no other parking close to property when we arrived at 6 pm. Daughter would have liked honey at breakfast. But there was a great selection of jam and marmalade, chocolate spread, biscoff spread etc. so wasn’t a problem to me.

One of the best guest houses we have stayed in. The breakfast room and food choices were excellent. Vickie and Gary were friendly and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and modern. Lots of nice extras like bath robes and complimentary treats. The location is ideal with bars and restaurants within walking distance. The main line train station is nearby and the M6 is within easy reach.

I had a great stay at Abbey House B&B. It is in a good location — a short stroll to the centre of the town. The host Vicki (and her husband Gary) were both extremely hospitable and friendly, the breakfast was really good with a number of options available. In the room the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Wi-Fi easy to access. I have no qualms at all recommending this B&B and will be happy to stay there again next time I’m in Penrith.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was good as we wanted to be near Penrith town centre.The property was immaculate throughout and the bedroom spacious and comfortable.An excellent hostess.

The parking is limited due to the central location similar to all the B&Bs in the locality but luckily there was space for our car but it was not an issue to ourselves as at a push the car park could accommodate 3 cars,.
