Ideal for one, ok for two on a short stay I stayed for 2 nights in studio 4 Kitchen is downstairs with bedroom above Well equipped kitchen area Comfortable bed Good shower and plenty of hot water Very clean Parking 5 minute walk away and free between 1800hrs and 0800hrs, so you need to pop out early to put a few pounds in if having a slow start to your day

Rather than sit on the bed all the time a comfortable seat downstairs in the corner would be useful

Everything about the property was excellent.

The location was perfect. There were four of us, and the layout could not have been better.

Location good for the town,within walking distance. Very clean, lovely comfortable bed and pillows, had a shower and a small bath.

Parking was nearby but difficult unloading with traffic.

Una buona base per visitare il Lake District, con alcune cose da migliorare. La struttura si trova in una posizione molto comoda come base per visitare il Lake District ed è un edificio molto bello, con ambienti ampi e delle splendide finestre. La nostra sistemazione era spaziosa e abbiamo apprezzato molto avere a disposizione un bagno e mezzo, che si sono rivelati molto comodi durante il soggiorno. I proprietari sono stati molto disponibili e reattivi nel rispondere ai messaggi e ci hanno fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie. Nel complesso, credo che l’esperienza dipenda molto dalle esigenze e dalle aspettative personali: per noi ci sono stati alcuni aspetti meno comodi che vale la pena segnalare.

Aspetti da migliorare: purtroppo la cucina non corrispondeva esattamente alle immagini che avevamo visto su Booking (allego una foto), quindi ci aspettavamo una cucina più fornita e completa. In particolare, abbiamo trovato molto scomodo cucinare perché le padelle non erano antiaderenti e rendevano la preparazione dei pasti piuttosto difficoltosa. Per chi, come noi, ha intenzione di cucinare regolarmente durante il soggiorno, anche per la colazione e la cena, è un aspetto da tenere in considerazione. Abbiamo inoltre notato che nella cucina c’è uno spazio vuoto dove manca un elemento del mobile. A nostro parere, sarebbe un’ottima posizione per installare una lavastoviglie: oltre a rendere la cucina esteticamente più completa, aiuterebbe a gestire più facilmente piatti e stoviglie, soprattutto considerando che cucinare con l’attrezzatura disponibile non è sempre semplice. Sarebbe quindi un miglioramento che, secondo noi, potrebbe risolvere almeno in parte alcune delle difficoltà riscontrate e rendere più pratica anche la gestione della pulizia. Nel nostro bagno c’era una vasca con doccia, ma era disponibile solamente il soffione fisso, senza un doccino separato. Per chi ha i capelli molto lunghi questo può risultare particolarmente scomodo, perché lavarsi senza bagnare completamente i capelli diventa praticamente impossibile. Sarebbe stato inoltre molto utile avere un appendino per gli asciugamani vicino alla doccia, così da poterli raggiungere più facilmente. Infine, è bene sapere che il parcheggio non si trova direttamente davanti alla struttura. Per caricare e scaricare i bagagli bisogna quindi fare un po’ più di strada, cosa che può risultare scomoda soprattutto se, come noi, si viaggia con molti bagagli. Nel complesso, una struttura con una posizione molto buona e diversi aspetti positivi, ma con alcune comodità che, secondo noi, potrebbero essere migliorate.

looked a little tired in parts ie. shutters coming off window edge, small areas that needed repainting, dining room chair coming apart a little. some of crockery chipped. some of soap bottles were empty so nothing to use when I'd already got in shower.

Non opening windows. Fans provided but it was really stuffy. There was a small kitchenette but not well equipped (washing up liquid but no cloth to wash dishes, tea towel to dry them and although designed for 2 only 1 of some items). Early check out (10am).

There was only one tv in the apartment and that was upstairs. Ideally there could have been one downstairs too.

Parkeringsmuligheder, vi fik en bøde. Temperaturen i lejligheden, da der kun var vinduer på en etage.

En fantastisk lägenhet i ett äldre kapell. Det såg helt nytt ut, smart designat och harmoniska färger. Finaste hotellakan och härliga handdukar. Bra kommunikation med ägarna då vi behövde förvara våra väskor under avresedagen. Det löstes smidigt.

Vi hade turen att tillbringa en av årets varmaste helger i huset. Att de gamla vackra fönstren inte går att öppna gjorde lägenheten väldigt varmt och fuktigt trots ordentlig fläkt i sovrummet. Men det sker nog inte många veckor om året. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka och då för flera nätter.

Great location, clean, comfortable and generally well maintained. Host was available for questions and responded quickly. Impressive large window which covered both floors.

The weekend was particularly hot and the flat was very warm. There were no windows that opened but we managed with the fans provided.

Lovely apartment, well situated and reasonably equipped. Beds were ultra comfortable. The flat itself was lovely decorated, and the carpets were sooo soft! I would definitely rec the flat but please consider the issues I have pointed out in the next section. Take into consideration your light of stay and the weather! 🙂

These are not huge but you might need consider it when booking: Flat is duplex and Bedrooms were mezzanine style, meaning if you’re upstairs talking, anyone the lounge will hear! Only two small velux type windows in the whole apartment. Two beautiful large windows in the kitchen and lounge: decorative only and did not open. Again, not a big issue on a cooler day. During a heat wave, however, the flat felt oppressively hot. There were 3 fans supplied: one on the lounge, and one in each bedroom, but didn’t really provide relief when we had an abnormally hot weekend Storage space in bedroom: next to none. Only a little bit of short rail in each bedroom and two tiny draws at each bedside cabinet. Was fine for a couple of days but for a long stay, would cause issues.

Clean, very well appointed, spacious

Total lack of ventilation - 28 degrees at midnight with no way too cool the apartment down as the windows don’t open, fans just blow hot air around, and there is no air on. Extractor fans are ineffective too. Impossible to get a decent nights sleep as a result .

Excellent response from managers - needed a dinner plate and it was delivered 10min later 😀 Communications were excellent, we had entry details 2 days before we arrived Bus station is 120m away , taxi stand 100m away Shops are a short walk There is a 2nd toilet & hand basin near the entry Fans provided in kitchen area and bedroom Towels are nice and thick Adequate cooking utensils, pots & pan

Tasteful decor in a 2 story apartment greeted you after an easy coded entry. Clean and well equipped kitchen with lounge on ground floor then up the carpeted stairs to a good sized bedroom and ensuite with fluffy towels and Toiletries for your needs. Great pillows and sheeting on a very smartly decorated queen bed. Amy was an excellent host and quickly responded to the issue with our booking sorting it out effectively. Well worth the price.

Unfortunately there is no free parking but that was fully explained in the advert. If you continue up the lane you will find some free parking which we utilised.

Great living space, comfortable, clean and modern throughout the apartment. Great beds and en-suite facilities for both bedrooms.

Both beds are on mezzanines - difficult to get fully dark for kids and noise travels between these and the living areas. Parking is opposite flat and apartment is on second floor so just need to be aware for bringing stuff in.

The lock in the fire door located next to the bed doesn’t turn all the way so the door rattles. Noise from the emergency escape route from people walking up and down in the night

We stayed for one night at a two bedroom 2nd floor apartment. The apartment was clean and well organised. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms have good showers. Staff were very responsive and clear in their communication. They provided fans for all rooms and one for living room which was absolutely needed for this hot weather.

Not a big problem but you have to carry the bags from the public car park across the roads to the apartment and there is no lift in the apartment.

Clean city centre apartment. Kitchen had tea and coffee supplied. All the normal appliances supplied and working. The place was clean and adequate for a few days stay.

When we entered the apartment there was a man in high vis jacket in the bedroom changing. He had apparently lived there before and had code to the door and thought he was staying there. He quickly left when I showed the reservation and communication with the host, saying there must be some mistake. He had used the bathroom , but did not get in to the bed. This mistake I believe was due to the hosts not changing the door code after each guest. The apartment was a little stuffy at night due to lack of adequate ventilation despite the exhaust fan in the living room.

Excellent location. Central for the town and close to public parking. Easy access and communication. This is an exceptionally clean studio apartment ideal for a short stay. Very well equipped with a large comfortable bed and fluffy towels.

Lack of windows to open and having to sit on the bed to watch tv. A small comfy chair would be a welcome addition.

The room was incredibly stuffy. Fans provided but didn't allow the room to cool and with the bedroom being on the first floor it was hard to sleep. I imagine colder days/winter this would not be an issue. The kitchen, while good, was only kitted out for 2 people - no major drama but even though only 2 of sometimes not practical. We stayed on a Saturday and was fairly noisy from other residents. The general seating area was lacking. The sofa more of a double seat and no tv downstairs but yet this gigantic one in the upstairs bedroom meaning you could only watch tv when on your bed. There is one huge window with an oversized blind - not great for keeping light out in the summer months Finally the fire exit also leads from the bedroom. As lights on outside this added to the light.

Es ist grundsätzlich alles in Ordnung, aber... Die Unterkunft war auf den zweiten Blick nicht wirklich sauber: Staub in den Ecken, Haare und Flecken auf dem Teppich. An Geschirr nur eine Grundausstattung für zwei Personen vorhanden, das heißt nur zwei Gabeln, zwei Teller, etc. Salz, Pfeffer, Duschgel etc. nicht aufgefüllt. Die Badewanne/Dusche ist durch keine Tür vom Schlafzimmer abgetrennt, was ggf. stören kann. Vor allem aber, wie schon viele andere Rezensionen schreiben: extreme Hitze im Apartment, sicher 25, 26 Grad durch starke Sonneneinstrahlung, da nützen auch keine Ventilatoren mehr was. Besonders im oberen Stock, wo das Bett steht, staut sich die Hitze. Die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen aber eine spürbare Belüftung oben gibt es auch nicht. Im Apartment steht zwar ein Sofa, aber kein Tisch, man muss an der Theke der Küche sitzen und essen.

This apartment was lovely and spacious, bigger than I expected, with 3 bathrooms and 2 separate bedrooms with king beds on the upper floor that you could separate from each other. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, we all slept really well. We wished could have stayed longer! It is right in the centre of Penrith, a very short distance from the shops and amenities and the bus station car park where we parked our car. Communication was excellent and the hosts were in touch regularly beforehand and during the stay to check we were ok. We were not required to strip beds or empty the bins either which was appreciated!

No hot water Emergency exit was left open, and someone entered our bedroom looking for a luggage room! No instructions for any of the appliances, TV, boiler for hot water, or oven.

The two bed property is very boutique very unique layout... loved it. Was only there for one night. Wish we spend more time. Small town we walked into the town and had breakfast before leaving. The kitchen is well stocked we did not get chance to use it.

Read the parking instructions and park at the bus stop not next to the shops - it requires some local disc..

The apartment was neat and tidy. Warm with easily adjustable controls on radiators. The shower was super hot and plentiful. Parking was free after 1800 till 0800 and less than a minute away. Situated within minutes walking of town centre.

Loved the layout and the originality of the chapel we had a beautiful big window from room 4. The location couldn’t have been more perfect and the room and facilities was practical for wha we needed. The bed and pillows was so comfortable.

It was extremely hot although we did have a fan. Although the bathroom was clean the grout and plug in the shower made it look unclean. We had a door upstairs that was a fire exit door that sounded like it was at the side of the stairs that other guests use and the volume of noise was was really loud and disturbed us however I appreciate this isn’t the property but a quiet and a good night sleep is a huge part of the stay.

A lovely, clean and cosy place to stay with great access to anywhere you’d like to be in the Lakes - loved that the apartment was dog friendly, and great communication from the owners!

Not that this majorly impacts anything but a couple of things to note: - if travelling with a dog who gets quite dirty (like my own), then there is no handheld shower head to clean them off after a long walk in the lakes, just a waterfall shower and a bath. We still managed :) - Water is on an immersion heater, which we didn’t realise until I jumped into a cold bath 😂 was absolutely fine once we clicked the heater back on and gave it a while to heat up! - The fan in the oven of apartment 2 seems to be loose, we cooked in the oven and it sounded horrific, but worked fine! Nothing that would put us off coming again - wonderful place at a great price :)

Lovely apartment, perfect for dogs. Very quiet for the dog so he settled easily. Hosts were very attentive and sent all necessary information, making the stay easy and seamless. Lovely location.

It was very humidity in the room as windows could not be opened, which made it harder for the dog to go to sleep. Other than this, no complaints.

Centrally located, making it easy to walk to restaurants etc. Very clean and high spec, with comfortable bedding. Good value for money.

Lack of close car parking required us to pay for public car-parks some distance away. Then the challenge was to carry our luggage quite some way. The rooms were very warm, with no way of cooling them down i.e. all windows were fixed, with no means of ventilation. Our bedroom was 26deg- poor sleeping was the result. ( I acknowledge a fan was available, which was utilised, but did not cool the air)

Nice modern clean studio apartment close to the centre. Welcoming bright hallway nicely decorated for Christmas. No dedicated parking but a cheap and safe car park at the bus station nearby. Decent sized bedroom, comfortable bed, good bathroom although the shower head is quite low down. Bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, downstairs is a reception area/small kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools. As other reviews have noted - there is no where to sit apart from the bar stools -a small sofa or a couple of comfy chairs downstairs would be nice if there was a way to fit them in. The kitchen has an induction hob and oven along with toaster, kettle and microwave plus enough cookware to make full meals. Nice place and a good stopover to the lakes

The fridge has a small freezer section at the top which was completely iced up and therefore unusable. Also quite sparse on the sort of basics most places provide. Coffee, tea and sugar were there but nothing else. The salt cellar was empty and although there was a cloth to wash up with there was no washing up liquid - we had to buy some from the Spar. Two forks and knives provided for eating but one set wasn't full sized for some reason. The kitchen bin was operated by a sensor but as the battery had run out it didn't work and we ended up leaving the lid up permanently. By and large this was a really nice place and kitted out to a high standard so these are fairly minor niggles.
