I don’t like the latest fashion in hotels all over the world of bathrooms with glass windows and no privacy. I really don’t understand it…

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Breakfast was excellent , clean well appointed rooms and very helpful staff especially Freedom who washed my car and two bikes before storing them for me.
We ate in the restaurant and I ordered the lamb chops which I specifically requested to be cooked medium well. Sadly the chops were extremely rare and not at all to my liking. The waitress did not come back to our table after delivering the food so it was not possible to ask for the chops to be cooked to my liking. I would also add that we were the only patrons so there really was no excuse for poor preparation or service

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026This is now the second time we have stayed at 360 Country Hotel. It's one of those gems that you want to keep going back to. The location is amazing, the staff are awesome and the facilities are top notch with everything being thought trough.

The staff was fantastic from the minutes I arrived until I left. The room was beautiful and so comfortable. I loved the small details in the hotel. The breakfast was very nice. I worked in the lounge area and was spoilt with coffee.

There is nothing to fault here: beautiful, functional, exceptional - we felt spoiled and special. We will highly recommend this hotel, without a doubt - I can't imagine any establishment doing better in Clarens on all levels, price included. Just FANTASTIC!!! Hats off and thumbs up!!!

Took a while to find somebody to give us entrance to the property, which is clearly very secure! Proximity to Padel courts was of concern about noise, but no play thus no problem.

Beautiful new building, stunning and immaculate rooms, the best beds, pillows and bedding and extremely polite and helpful staff. The rooms are also huge. Especially the showers and bathrooms. You will never go wrong with this hotel. I think it's the best you will find in Clarens centre.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026The beautiful property with amazing aesthetics' (quiet and niche), the exceptional service of the staff, the beautiful view of the mountains from all around the property, especially when having breakfast. The food was next level, each morning a different menu and in the evenings and range of cuisine to choose from. Evening fire in the living room with glühwein was a special touch. Will definitely be staying at this property going forward when in Clarens. Thanks Chrisna and staff.

Reviewed May 27, 2026The staff were welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful upon arrival. The room was lovely and spacious, the bed incredibly comfortable. The hotel has little unexpected luxuries such as the lounge area where they have fire going from the afternoon late into the evening. They have Old Brown Sherry for you to enjoy in the lounge area. The breakfasts were lovely and indulgent. There are so many little things that made this hotel special and so enjoyable. The manager was accommodating - we were there for a 2-day MTB race and so she ensured the kitchen opened earlier so that we could eat before our race.
There is nothing I could suggest to make the hotel stay better. They really have thought of everything.

Reviewed May 9, 2026What a find! Everything about this hotel was perfect. The attention to detail is superb - everything from the easy check-in, the porter eagerly awaiting to transport our bags to our room, the help-yourself tea and coffee station and the jar of the most delicious home baked oat cookies to the friendly staff who could not do enough to make us feel at home. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed (mid week in term time) so we literally had the lounge with the beautiful log fire to ourselves in the evenings and basically had a private dining experience. The restaurant is an absolute must-visit even if you're not staying at the hotel - some of the best food I have had since moving to SA. The Asian pork belly with cauliflower puree and vegetable Wellington and the Beef Short Rib with polenta were outstanding. Seasonal vegetables were perfectly cooked and the meat so tender. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, there are extra blankets, lots of cushions and lovely pillows. The walk-in shower was lovely and the water pressure couldn't be better. Breakfasts are plentiful, the hot food cooked to your requirements and I am still dreaming about the homemade granola! On the last morning, when we had to leave early, the staff made up wonderful breakfast packs for us to take on the road with us - one last chance to enjoy the granola!

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026The setting of the hotel is absolutely stunning and shows Clarens off well, especially the view over the Maluti mountain range. The staff, especially, Jenny, are very welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay and enjoyable one. Breakfast and showers were absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately no under cover parking. If I wished to return with my motorbike the sun and rain would be a bit harsh for the bike.
