Reviewed Apr 26, 2026Nice simple room in a very nice calm location where there are no tourists at all. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and warm. Tung who worked in the reception was very nice and I could always reach him over WhatsApp if I needed anything.
It would have been nice with some more natural light in the room.

Reviewed Apr 16, 2026Don't make a reservation. They turned me away. They're scammers. I've been traveling for years. I've stayed in dozens of hotels. This is the first time I've experienced something like this. They ruined my Vietnam vacation. Never, never, never No hagas reserva. Me rechazaron. Son unos estafadores. Llevo años viajando. Me he alojado en docenas de hoteles. Es la primera vez que me pasa algo así. Arruinaron mis vacaciones en Vietnam. Jamás, jamás, jamás. Đừng đặt phòng ở đó. Họ đã từ chối tôi. Họ là những kẻ lừa đảo. Tôi đã đi du lịch nhiều năm rồi. Tôi đã ở hàng chục khách sạn. Đây là lần đầu tiên tôi gặp phải chuyện như thế này. Họ đã phá hỏng kỳ nghỉ ở Việt Nam của tôi. Không bao giờ, không bao giờ, không bao giờ!
They confirmed my reservation. Then when I got to the hotel, they said it was full. They left me stranded.

Not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from. The property has clearly seen better days. The rooftop is closed, and the lobby shown in the photos isn’t usable. The biggest issue was cleanliness: the room was extremely dirty. We found a cockroach in the bed, there was hair everywhere, the sheets didn’t seem to have been washed, the towels were stained, there was dust throughout, and even the drawers were dirty. The toilet also had a strong, unpleasant smell. It’s honestly the dirtiest place we’ve ever stayed in.

Tay nắm cửa bị hỏng, rèm có những vệt ố mốc, nước bị đọng ở vùng phía chân bồn cầu. Còn lại về tổng quan ổn.

The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. I especially want to mention Tùng, who was incredibly helpful when we lost my room key—he assisted me quickly and made the situation stress-free. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

Pokoje są zadbane, wygodne i dobrze wyposażone, co sprawia, że można tu naprawdę odpocząć po dniu zwiedzania. Dużym plusem jest dostępność pralki w hotelu – koszt to około 35 000 VND za kilogram, co jest bardzo wygodnym i praktycznym rozwiązaniem, szczególnie przy dłuższym pobycie.

You will also find some bia hoi places around if you like cheap beer. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The receptionist Hưng was exceptional. Good fluent english and helped us with all our requests.

Pictures do not match description, room was unclean, mouldy and uncomfortable. Pictures look to be edited, or taken many years ago. I would skip this and find somewhere else, I grinned and beared it for a few days but wish I hadn't.

The location is perfect, it's central but still quiet. And the staff is most lovely! Mr. Tùng was especially friendly and helpful. I feel happy here and if I come back to Hanoi, I will stay again at Ami House. 😊

Alles war sauber, gepflegt und einladend, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlen konnte. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir jedoch den Service an der Rezeption: Minh war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und stets hilfsbereit. Er hat sich viel Mühe gegeben, alle Fragen zu beantworten und uns bei unseren Anliegen zu unterstützen. Dank ihm haben wir uns besonders gut betreut gefühlt. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen!

One night we had no hot water at all, the pillows were moldy (but they were happy to replace them), and the room smelt funny. Also if you are just starting your trip in Vietnam make sure to check pillows everywhere. We didn’t notice the mold until after we had slept one night. It’s very common in Vietnam. I’m writing this review a few weeks after our stay and at 80% of the places we’ve been to there has been mold on pillows.
