Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in room 2. The large room has a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Provisions are provided so you can help yourself from a wide range of cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, ham and cheese. Mary was very helpful and provided useful local recommendations. The house is in a beautiful location, with great views of Galway countryside.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Breakfast was self service. There was a fridge with lots of fresh fruit, yohgurt, cheese, ham, pancakes and juice. The food table had fresh bread, spreads, honey, nuts, oats and snacks. Like a home from home!
When checking out it would have been nice to say thank you and get a thanks for your stay from the hosts. I didn't want to disturb them so maybe some checkout/goodbye would work well if possible.

Łóżko bardzo wygodne. Dwie osoby mają bardzo dużo miejsca,nawet dziecko by się zmieścilo. Właściciele bardzo profesjonalni.Pomocni, przy czym mnostwo prytwatności.Ogólnie 10/10

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Die Lage war sehr schön. Umgeben von Natur und ruhig. Wir hatten ein riesiges Zimmer und das Bad war auch sehr groß. Das hatten wir nicht erwartet. Alles war sauber und die Matratze war bequem. Wir konnten im Zimmer frühstücken und hatten eine sehr große Auswahl an Lebensmitteln. Diese Unterkunft können wir nur empfehlen.

The room was a garret with a no view and a small skylight. It was billed as luxury and the pictures showed a very nice bed. But the rest of the room was cluttered with extremely old fashioned furniture. What the pictures did not show was the well stocked cluttered 'larder' and fridge at the other end of the room.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Everything you needed for your stay was there. There were lots of toiletries from shampoos and conditioners to hairspray and even Radox if you wanted a relaxing bath. Very spacious accommodation with lots of homely extras. Mary went out of her way to make sure you had everything you needed for breakfast. There was alot of tasty food to choice from. Mary showed us to our room. She was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.
Not sound proof. Could here doors closing in other rooms.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig. Das Frühstück macht man selber, der Kühlschrank war mit jeweils einer Sorte Wurst und Käse, Marmelade, Obst, Butter, Milch und Saft gefüllt.
Das Zimmer wirbt mit Gartenblick, hat aber nur ein kleines Velux-Fenster, das über dem Tisch ist und so hoch, dass man über 1,90 m groß sein muss um herausgucken zu können. Die Möbilierung war eine Zeitreise durch die letzten Jahrzehnte, inklusive Glitzertisch. Es gab keinen Schrank, nur einen Kleiderständer.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Everything in the house was exceptional! The room was huge, the bed was huge (and verycomfortable), and Mary laid on everything we could possibly need. The array of things for breakfast was more than we needed and, I'm sure, catered for all tastes. Can't say anything bad about the place, think it was the best we have ever stayed in. A bit remote, but the sat nav got us there no problem! Will def come again if back in Galway.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Wir würden am liebsten noch mehr Punkte als die Höchstzahl vergeben! Die Unterkunft war absolut super sauber und mit viel Liebe hergerichtet. Der Empfang durch die super freundlichen Besitzer und ihre zwei Hunde war extrem herzlich. Das Frühstückskonzept ist genial: Man bereitet es sich selbst zu, aber es steht alles perfekt vorbereitet und frisch parat (vieles direkt im Kühlschrank). Es war so reichlich, dass wir es zu zweit gar nicht aufessen konnten. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt!
Absolut gar nichts! War alles traumhaft.

Avete una casa molto bella e la camera che ci avete assegnato era enorme, pulita, accogliente, tv enorme, letto enorme, bagno enorme, prodotti vari a disposizione e una ricca colazione dolce e salata!! Vi ringraziamo per l’ospitalità e la cura che avete messo in tutto quello che ci avete offerto… la vostra simpatia e i vostri 🐶 ci hanno lasciato un segno durante questo soggiorno. Reviewed Jul 9, 2026As a contractor I have stayed in many places but this has completely exceeded what I was expecting when booking, the bedroom was huge, fantastic bed had an amazing sleep, Mary went above and beyond with stocking the room, I've never seen so much, the fridge had plenty, the table was laden, the bathroom was well stocked. I couldn't find enough words to recommend, the pictures certainly don't do it just. Thank you Mary your hospitality was very much appreciated.

Mary left a lovely basic breakfast but more than we could eat! The area is beautiful and rural, so you need a car. Galway is beautiful and a trip to Chonamara National park well worth the drive. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve have had this holiday!

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026L'endroit porte bien son nom, c'est vraiment un coin de paradis en pleine campagne, avec une hôtesse d'exception, Mary, qui accueil ses invités comme des membres de sa propre famille, avec toutes les attentions nécessaires dans la chambre, avec un équipement à qui rien ne manque, un petit déjeuner de rêve et une brochure faite par ses soins avec des conseils de visites dans la région. C'est un vrai bonheur d'habiter cette maison qui mérite 1000/10 et le regret de ne pas avoir vue Mary le matin de notre départ pour lui remercier pour cet endroit avec autant d'âme et de plaisir d'accueillir.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Set amongst the countryside in a quiet location. Close to a local pub and Galway some 40 minutes away. Our host Mary provided us with lots of great advice. We are keen bushwalkers and she had ideas on what to do. As we were staying for a number of nights she also kindly did a little washing of clothes for us.

The room is self contained with a dry kitchen area and well stocked daily breakfast with potato chips and toffee candy! The bed & chair with a foot stool were comfortable and grooming toiletries from hairspray, shaving cream and even toothpaste was provided. It's the best B&B we have been to!
The area is very nice and quiet although attractions are not nearby. However, the lodging was well worth the drive.

La stanza in cui abbiamo soggiornato era molto grande e confortevole e aveva tutto l’occorrente necessario, non mancava proprio nulla. Accanto alla struttura ci sono mucche simpatiche e curiose che vengono a farsi salutare. Consiglio assolutamente questo posto!
Colazione completa e varia con tanti prodotti a disposizione. L’unico piccolo suggerimento potrebbe essere quello di proporre dosi monoporzioni per la marmellata e il cioccolato piuttosto che vasetti già utilizzati.

Recebeu-nos com muita habilidade e teve o cuidado de preparar fruta fresca, iogurtes e panquecas no frigorífico!O espaço é muito amplo com uma cama e uma televisão enormes!Não faltava lá nada!Tudo bastante limpo!Nota-se que a Mary não tem apenas um negócio; ela gosta de agradar e de receber muito bem as pessoas!Sentimo-nos em casa, no meio de um local belíssimo, rodeado pela natureza!Adoramos!!! Adorei o pormenor do pequeno azulejo de Portugal na mesinha de cabeceira😍

Reviewed May 22, 2026Eine sehr schöne gepflegte Unterkunft, in der man merkt, dass sich die Eigentümer Gedanken über die Bequemlichkeit und das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste machen. Es ist alles mit Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Es war alles da, was man so braucht und was man auch evtl. vergessen haben könnte. Mary kam am nächsten Morgen während unserer Abwesenheit in das Zimmer, brachte frisches Geschirr und alle Frühstückszutaten inkl. frischem Obst und Trinkwasser für den nächsten Morgen sowie saubere Handtücher. Das Bad wurde ebenfalls geputzt. Es lagen Empfehlungen und Vorschläge für Unternehmungen in der näheren Umgebung parat, was für die Planung von Ausflügen sehr hilfreich ist. Insgesamt eine sehr komfortable Unterkunft.
