Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Die lage des Hauses war genial. 5min zum Bus. Denn mit dem Auto in die City machte keinen Sinn. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr sauber und in der Küche alles da, was gebraucht wurde.
Kein Ansprechpartner und die Schlüsselbox hat geklemmt. Dauerte ein bißchen.... Das Badezimmer (wir hatten das Zimmer im Anbau) war viel zu klein und zu eng. Mein Mann (1.90cm) konnte nicht duschen. Die Türe zum Zimmer und Bad haben beim Sturm geklappert. War zur Schlafenszeit ziemlich nervig. Am letzten Tag wurden wir ausgesperrt. Da wir im Anbau waren, konnten wir nur durch klopfen einen weiteren Bewohner auf uns aufmerksam machen. Bedauert haben wir, dass wir unseren Vermieter nicht einmal begrüßen durften. Hätten uns gerne persönlich bedankt.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026There was NO breakfast - only a help yourself from a terrible selection and mouldy bread! The location "pin" on the site brought me to the wrong house and (understandably) an irate woman informed me that she is sick and tired of people going to her by mistake & has asked the property to rectify it. Reputable platforms like Booking.com should not entertain properties like these. Don't tempt me to share my photos of it.
I received a message on the morning of my arrival telling me there would be no breakfast served despite my booking stating it was b&b. I had arranged at time of booking on Aug 13th to leave my car at the property at 1pm and my luggage in the room and I was told this was no problem. Clearly the people working in the property were not told this. At 13.31hrs I received a message giving me the Eircode and address - 30 mins after I arrived and texted for the Eircode. The room was ready but was not of a good standard and very minimalistic. The owner (not the staff who are doing their best with what they have to manage) should be struck off for false advertising on Booking.com and not delivering what is shown. The breakfast "offer" was appalling and another resident told me that her toilet would not flush. A disgraceful property.

Si raggiunge facilmente con i mezzi ma richiede venti minuti dal centro. Nelle vicinanze pochi negozi.

Posizione lontana dal centro a piedi, raggiungibile comunque in 10 minuti di auto o con i bus.

The staff was very accommodating. at the time of our stay, there was nobody at the property, so it was quiet and cozy. it's located in the quiet side of the town. the only thing is that the property does not have a sign with "silver sea" which i was expecting to see. very easy to find the place though.

Had an issue with the wrong code being given to me for the lockbox, someone was snoring incredibly loudly in the room next to me, and there were no pastries or snacks in the kitchen despite prior communication from the property saying so - the only substantial food item I saw was Weetabix. Can't remember seeing any toiletries in my room either.

Delineation of food ie milk was not clear as some belonged to longer term student guests. Bathroom in our room has drainage issues.

Very basic and tired room with very limited items provided: only soap & hairdryer. No mirror in the room, no shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, blinds were old and in poor condition. The shower was full of mold and tiny... Some of these things might be forgivable if it was a bargain B&B, but they are charging 140 euro a night!!! No breakfast incleded

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026Wehebben een prettig verblijf gehad. De kamer was in orde en alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. De eigenaar was erg aanwezig, wat soms even wennen was, maar tegelijkertijd ook betrokken en gastvrij. Hij heeft bovendien een erg mooie keuken met fantastische ovens, wat duidelijk terug te zien was in de zorg en aandacht waarmee hij kookte. Een bijzonder leuk moment was dat hij speciaal een heerlijke ei-pizza maakte voor mijn zoon, wat erg gewaardeerd werd. Dat soort persoonlijke aandacht maakt het verblijf extra speciaal. Al met al een goede ervaring, vooral dankzij de vriendelijkheid en inzet van de eigenaar.
