Decor dated. Lacks the luxuries you expect in 5* hotel… no coffee machines in room, water not replenished during the stay, no conditioner in room and towels well worn. .

The pool area was nice. Nice to have bar cafe close by. Nice although small gym. Handy location. Breakfast was good. Good variety and food always fresh.

Not enough shade around the pool and some of the umbrellas were a little tired. Could do with pool side ordering. We had to remind reception for staff to refill our water daily.

Shower in accessible bathroom needs more hand rails near the shower head and more non slip mats, had to provide my own to avoid slipping as I have mobility issues,l

Very good location in a rapidly developing area, a short walk from a beautiful beach and some great restaurants. The staff were all super friendly and seemingly no request was any bother. The outdoor pool felt like an oasis and it offered plenty of space for guests who wanted a swim as well as just lounging in the sunshine. The manicured gardens with palms, ornamental banana and cycads made the environment feel very exotic. The outside dining area is a relaxed, spacious area, where guests can enjoy sunshine or shade, and cared for by attentive staff. The rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean, with a fantastic shower. Small but adequate balcony with great views over a nature reserve and the sea. Plenty of free off-street parking.

The breakfast was very generous with a wide variety of options both hot and cold, but I think the selection of fruits available could have been mixed up a little, considering what’s available from local suppliers. After a week, it stared to feel a little repetitive. While the pastries are an international staple, these were not great quality. Also, we missed pastel de nata - come on guys, we’re in Portugal!

We like most things about the Ria Park and that's why we have had several stays there. The staff are always very kind and helpful, the breakfast is great, the pool and the gardens are delightful. As an added bonus to me the gym is very well equipped and generally well maintained.

No complaints from us.

The hotel was unable to provide local complimentary transport in the shuttle bus both times I requested such.

La habitación, el interior del hotel se ve antiguo y sin poder abrir las ventanas porque estaba lleno de mosquitos que la primera tarde noche nos llenaron de picaduras. Pedimos cambiar de habitación (era un primer piso detrás de unas plantas que no se veía ni el sol en todo el día y con la humedad de las plantas se llenó de mosquitos) y estando el hotel casi vacío y siendo un cinco estrellas no nos cambiaron.

Unbelievably clean and extremely friendly and respectful staff. Room and views were amazing, pool was fabulous and the private beach area was just gorgeous and well staffed. Food is excellent with amazing staff. Breakfast was a delicious experience which is a 10 / 10 from us. We go every year and it gets better and better each year. Mr,. Ze (Joze) who dropped us off at the beach - the shining start of this hotel. The nicest, kindest person! Good breakfast, nice and warm pool. We received a bottle of champagne and cake for our anniversary.

Where do I even start. The hotel is supposed to be a 5 star, right? Ants in the bathroom. It is NOT beachfront! It has a beach area, to which you take a shuttle (or take a 10 min walk) just to find out that 2 sunchairs are 25 EURO A DAY. additional sunchair is 15 euro a day. There is no bar and no bathroom at the beach. At night the hotel is dead, no entertainment apart from loud guests behaving like monkeys at night. There is no store or restaurant in the near vicinity. The Lusitani restaurant (the only one at the hotel) is CRAZY expensive - no way you can eat there with kids. Kids club? Not even at the premises of the hotel and I was not comfortable leaving my child out of my sight completely. Cleaning very inconsistent: the cake they gave us for our anniversary wss in the room for 4 days straight. Surely, if we didn't eat it on day one we wont eat it on day 3. Honestly, this is more like a 3 star hotel to me. Very disappointed.

Hotel and rooms are very dated and tired especially for the price which is overpriced. Beach area is sparse and no facility for drinks / food. Rooms are from the 1990’s and walls and floors very thin so you can hear every child running up and down the corridors in the morning or every reveller returning at night. Curtains don’t actually fit the window so you get the sun flooding the room in morning. Only one restaurant with nice but limited menu.

Gostei de tudo, comodidades muito boas principalmente a disponibilidade a qualquer hora do transporte de e para a praia; o conforto de termos uma zona concessionada também é muito bom; a possibilidade de utilizar as instalações do SPA e Piscina após o checkout.

O facto de o Hotel ainda não ser Pet Friendly; e a zona de banho ser muito escorregadia necessitando de tapetes aderentes.

My only comment would be that breakfast could be served earlier in the summer as people going off to do tennis/golf early as it’s hot!

Wardrobe/draw space was limited. Soft boiled eggs were cold, coffee machine milk wasn’t great. Downstairs bar should have been open especially given football world cup was on to create better atmosphere. Would have preferred separate shower. Dedicated Beach area was too far from restaurants/toilets so we didn’t use it.

Comfortable, clean, spacious

Staff - pretty annoying, dismissive and rude, in particular the front desk and barman. Several others were helpful and kind. Senior ones let the team down. Rooms- a bit cramped. Tiny balcony and you have to put up with an ac fan unit blasting hot air and making noise. Otherwise, it’s a bit dressed up, pretending to be a luxury place and I don’t see what’s 5 star about it.

I really don’t think the hotel is 5 star, it is rather dated. Pool area is lovely with lots of sun beds but you have to trek back to the hotel to use the toilets, there should be facilities nearer as the pool area is quite expansive. Had to chase for water to be left in the room on one occasion they wanted to charge for it. Surely a bottle of water is standard in a hotel which charges such high prices?

Pool bar staff very rude when you ask them for a glass of ice to take to your room, you are advised that you have to use room service, you do not get a glass but a bucket. Previous day ordered a bottle of wine from room service and some ice , we got two full bucket of ice. What a waste. !!!!

La chambre était parfaite, grande propre, nous avons apprécié la mise à disposition des chaussons et peignoirs, de la possibilité de faire du thé ou du café. Les produits de la salle de bain de top qualité, il y avait même un pèse personne. Le petit déjeuner : fabuleux aussi bien en quantité que qualité. Le personnel en charge du petit déjeuner, était à l'écoute, très aimable et bienveillant. La mise à disposition de serviettes à la piscine et à la plage c'est top, la mise à dispo d'une navette pour se rendre à la plage est appréciable. Nous avons testé un massage au SPA, expérience très agréable.

Les espaces autour de la piscine sont un peut petits en rapport du nombre de clients. Quelques convives anglais avaient des voix qui portaient après plusieurs tournées de bière, et visiblement une éducation deux crans en dessous de celle des employés de l'hôtel qui ont géré certaines situations avec une diplomatie remarquable.

Virtually no room decor and a very dated bland restaurant. Terrible coffee, poor buffet with dried up scrambled eggs and no live cooking stations, cheap napkins, no cushions on chairs, scuffed paint. The price is 5 star but the hotel is not.

Very noisy. Due to age of building noise travelled far. We had the bar above us and the restaurant below us. Bar noise late into the evening and vigorous hoovering in the bar started around 7am each morning. It completely ruined our stay as we didn’t have a single good night sleep. Unusually for. Five star hotel there were people being loud on corridors a lot too.

The staff on reception, in the bar and restaurant, and cleaners were all really lovely and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully cleaned every day.The nice little touches like the chocolates, fruit and complimentary drinks were really appreciated. Breakfasts on the terrace were a real highlight with a wide variety of fruit, bread and cooked items. The pool area was lovely and importantly, we never struggled to find a sunbed. Location was great - 10 minutes to a stunning beach that was rarely busy, and loads of lively bars and restaurants. It was our second stay at the hotel and we will go back later in the year. Thanks to everyone concerned for a lovely break.

The hotel was lovely and clean, breakfast was plentiful and the staff were attentive. The location was also great.

Milk was not replenished every day so was unable to enjoy a warm drink in the room without ringing reception! A bottle of Fresh water everyday would also have been a lovely touch.

Pequeno almoço excelente, o espaço ambiente muito tranquilo um excelente espaço para descançar. Funcionário de excelencia no atendimento. Quarto muito bom, praticamente se se ouvir qualquer ruido do exterior.

O conforto das almofadas. A cama era excelente, mas as almofadas não acompanham o conforto do colchão.

L'hôtel est très beau et très bien entretenu. Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables , bien insonorisées et propres et le personnel compétent , sympathique et disponible. Il dispose d'un parking gratuit, d'une grande piscine et d'autres équipements que je n'ai pas testés. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, varié et bon.

J'ai moins apprécié le bruit du bar qui est à côté de la réception et dont le bruit monte dans les chambres jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Il manquait quelques produits d'hygiène qu'on trouve habituellement dans les 5 étoiles (type lait corporel) et une bouteille d'eau par jour aurait été appréciée.

Great breakfast and prestigious surroundings. Absolutely wonderful experience.

When I arrived I got a very warm welcome; offering to take my bags to the room. I stayed on the 5th floor so I had incredible views of the area. My room was spacious, the bed so comfortable and the sheets felt as smooth as butter. I had a wonderful shower. I could have stayed forever in this hotel in this area. The pool area is very good and again staff very attentive and friendly.

There were so many options of food at breakfast and very good coffee. I wish they started earlier though 6am. I like to get up very early to start the day.
