We never saw the place, because they canceled with us two days before our stay. See below.

Don't depend on Jennys keeping your reservation! We made ours through booking.com five weeks in advance. Two days before our stay, Jennys (formerly Kitty O'Shea's) canceled, saying they were overbooked. They said that booking.com would give us a full refund, but never canceled the reservation with them. They told us there was nothing they could do, and we'd have to cancel it ourselves. I asked them to at least find us alternate lodging, but all they did was provide phone numbers for two places, not very nearby, that had space. Booking.com normally charges a fee for cancelation. I had to get on the phone with them to make my case, and they were very accommodating and gave us the full refund.

Bed and pillows extremely comfortable . Fridge in the room (unfortunately it wasn’t plugged in and food went off before I realised). Tv in room.

Cobwebs, partial building site. Nails sticking out of woodwork (very dangerous for kids). Damp patches around room. Strong smell of damp off towels and in the ensuite. Main shower head clogged.

Breakfast not offered so didn't know if it was available

De gastheer was dronken en hij liep een met open gulp en een broek met natte urine vlekken rond toen we aan kwamen. Alles was vies en niets was afgemaakt qua verbouwing. Het huis zit vol met arbeidsmigranten. Meneer flipte nadat we vroegen om schone lakens. Er was duidelijk al eerder in het bed geslapen. Het is behoorlijk geëscaleerd en hij bedreigde ons. We hebben 112 gebeld hij wilde niet uit onze kamer terwijl ik me aan het omkleden was. Hij probeerde mijn man omver te duwen. Ging tekeer tegen mijn dochter en zoon. De politie was onderweg en hij probeerde door ons geld te bieden de komst van de politie tegen te houden. Nadat de politie er was verscheen hij poedelnaakt voor het raam. We voelden ons behoorlijk berdreigd. Deze man zou nooit weet wat mogen verhuren.

Der Besitzer war betrunken, es roch nach Urin, es war schmutzig. Wir hatten ein Zweibettzimmer mit eigenem Bad gebucht. Zimmer mit eigenem Bad gibt es in dieser Unterkunft nicht. Wir mussten uns ein Bad mit anderen Gästen teilen. Unmöglich für diesen Preis Unterirdisch

La decoración de la habitación y sobre todo la comodidad de las camas, muy confortables. El casero feu muy amable recibiéndonos y explicándonos todo, además de las actividades de la zona en los días de nuestra visita. Las habitaciones tienen una moqueta gruesa muy agradable.

En el momento de nuestro alojamiento hay reformas en marcha y hay cosas por acabar. El baño compartido de nuestra planta no tenía agua caliente, pero al día siguiente pudimos utilizar el baño de la 1ª planta sin problemas (haciendo cola con otros inquilinos). Hacía falta una limpieza a fondo, supongo que por las obras en marcha, pero en general todo estaba bien.

The other residents were hilarious once they figured out how f@#$ked out of a room we were.

Owner was wasted. Blamed booking.com for overbooking the rooms. stumbled around and told me he was going to refund my charge. Never did. Slept on dirty couches in a cluttered hoarder room.

The living area beside the kitchen and patio outside has a beautiful view, and I very much enjoyed watching the local bird life dancing around the patio and its furniture! I saw a rook, two Eurasian wrens, and a wee spideog! Bed was warm and comfy although I completely forgot to shut the window (my b). XD Coffee was delish and refreshing, owner was very friendly and accommodating! The room was nice and quiet.

Cancelled reservation made and paid three weeks earlier one day before arrival, sending one mail and blaming Booking for that. End of the story. They offered a 25% discount on future staying if booked directly with them, as if we came to Ireland every day. Great problems in finding another accommodation on 15th August! Totally unprofessional. No protection by Booking neither, who did not offer any alternative! We had to find new place by ourselves. By the way, my money is still to be credited back, hope it will not take long.

The kitchen was reasonable.

The place was dirty, The room was very small, The en-suit toilet was extremely small. There was rubbish everywhere. The owner left empty beer bottles and cans all over the place. Crockery was chipped. No hot water in the sink. The owner would leave his TV on loud, he was shouting at one of the guests, he walked around with bare feet. The window in the bedroom wasn't finished - not even plastered.

The bed was comfy and the location was good for visiting Limerick (if you have a vehicle)

The WiFi didn’t work. It’s not finished e.g. painting not completed, no handle on en-suite toilet door. There were piles of clean laundry in all the common areas.

The host was very nice, helpful and accommodating. Bed very comfortable. Facilities good. A little remote. Not really an on suite but shower in the room water could easily get onto carpet. Toilet tight fitting.

Kitty O'Shea's is situated in a lovely bucolic setting. Pastures with grazing cows behind and lush green hills beyond. You are guaranteed a quiet, pleasant experience in the country staying in beautifully appointed rooms, enjoying soft comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. After a long days touring you can enjoy the comfort of your room or retire to one or more areas to enjoy pleasant conversation with other guests. In the morning, enjoy a cup of coffee in the spacious kitchen, dining area. The proprietor, Mr. Hogan strives to make each guest feel as comfortable as possible during your stay. I highly recommend Kitty O'Shay's Guesthouse!

Myself and my wife are just home from kitty o'sheas, and would highly recommend. It truly is a home from home and jerry couldn't have done enough for us a true gentleman who went above and beyond. The rooms /bathrooms were beautifully decorated very spacious and very clean , we had an amazing night sleep. We went down for shania twain and jerry even dropped us to it . Stayed at Kitty O’Shea’s Guesthouse and it was wonderful. Clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight was the owner, Gerry — such a genuinely kind and helpful person. There was no breakfast. The gentleman was checked me in was pleasant but the place seemed to be unfinished. Location was fine as it was on the right side of Limerick for the airport.

There was no breakfast. Kitchen was open to make tea or coffee as no facilities in the room. It was not up to my standard. The bathroom was not ensuite so I had the hassle of having to lock my room door each time I went to the bathroom. I didn't have a dressing gown with me so had to be fully dressed to leave the room to go to the bathroom and back again. I was the only woman in the building which seemed to have a lot of people coming and going. The worse bit was at about midnight some one was banging and shouting at the front door. I don't scare easily but it was an unpleasant experience. There was no one around when I checked out so I just left as I had prepaid. I will not be staying there again and I cannot in all honesty recommend this property

This property is off the beaten path but still only a short distance into Limerick. The host is kind and friendly. The room we stayed in was very large, with a sitting area, comfortable bed, high quality linens and a private en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is available for cooking and was easy to navigate. If you enjoy staying in a casual and homey guesthouse this is a great choice.

Notre hôte était particulièrement gentil et accueillant, il est même venu à notre rencontre car nous avions des difficultés à trouver le logement malgré wase. La mise à disposition de la cuisine pour le petit déjeuner.

Gerald was a kind host and tried to make me and my family feel welcomed. The beds were super comfy. One of the rooms we stayed in had its own bathroom.

The location is a bit outside the city and a little remote (can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for). The house is still under construction, has shared living spaces, and most of the bedrooms don't have private baths. I was traveling with my daughter, wife, and mother-in-law and the women were very uncomfortable with the as we didn't realize the host lives in the house and had several other male tenants staying there during our stay. Also, our rooms were on the opposite sides of the house as my mother-in-law could not lock her door as there was no key in her door. Just a few notes for future stays for Gerald.

We had a fantastic time at Kitty O’Shea. Gerald was a super kind and thoughtful host who made us feel incredibly welcome. The place has so much charm, and the beds were hands down the best we’ve slept in during our entire time in Ireland—absolutely comfortable!

Nothing!! The place was dreadful and shouldn't be used as a guest house, it's dirty and dangerous, see below...

Everything!! The photos on the property profile show a nice clean guest house which looks appealing, the reality was completely different! The state of the house was disgraceful, it was undergoing refurbishment and everything was covered in builder's dust. The kitchen was filthy, the fridge was dirty with open packs of food stored in it, there was even a dirty frying pan on the hob as well as spilled fried egg on the actual hob which hadn't been cleaned. There were empty wine and beer bottles and glasses around the house as well as used latex gloves (not sure what they were used for). Towels were spread over the table drying. There were bits of floor missing in the kitchen, cables hanging from the ceiling (including one of the bathroom ceilings!) and from one of the walls. The bathrooms were dirty, covered in builder's dust and hadn't been cleaned for some time. There were bottles of cleaning products and other chemical products spilling out of a storage space which is not safe, particularly if you have children with you. We left the place early as it was horrendous and when I told the owner we weren't staying he was in total denial that there was a problem.

Wie unsere Vorgänger schon geschrieben haben, der Besitzer ist sehr nett und bemüht. Die Betten sind auch wie mehrfach beschrieben, super bequem.

Die erwähnten Verwertung mit Renovierung, sind mittlerweile 2 Jahre alt. Es wir immer noch renoviert. Wir waren in einem halbfertige Zimmer, die Dusche war in einem anderem Zimmer. Wenn mal alles fertig sein sollte, ist das bestimmt sehr schön.

King size bed was the most comfortable I've slept in since arriving in Ireland. Best nights sleep in two weeks. Owner was a true gem. To be honest he wasn't expecting guests because he was in the middle of renovations, but once we arrived he bent over backwards to accommodate us, even opening up his whole house. Full range of TV programming too.

We booked a room and when we got there, they rudely said they had no rooms and sent us away. They were dismissive, not at all apologetic, even though it was after 9pm at night and we then had to search for another room.

No rooms available after booking and paying! Very disappointing and frustrating to say the least!

I had an amazing stay over the weekend with my husband and a friend. The house is fabulous, the rooms were spacious and the bed was so comfortable, pretty quiet as well even with other guests. The host is so friendly, made us feel very welcome and gave a lot of tips about what to do in the city. We were able to use the kitchen and everything

Arrivés dans l'après-midi, personne pour nous recevoir.Seul un homme et son tractopelle creusant un fossé autour de la maison.De plus l'établissement est en travaux ce qui constitue une excuse pour le propriétaire pour le non fonctionnement de la douche. Et il a répété inlassablement it's new. Si l'établissement n'est pas en mesure de fonctionner correctement on s'abstient de louer. Le tarif était identique a celui d'établissements bien plus professionnels. A déconseiller en ce moment.

Very friendly host and comfortable bed. This was a great place for couples or singles. The host said they were remodleo.g and the work done so far was really good (new bathrooms, a nice back deck).

I had a lovely 2 days staying with this guesthouse. The area was just what I needed out of the way. And as for the owner Gerry he was the nicest man very nice very friendly. I did not see anything to like about this property other than the fact that the owner did try to help us find another place by calling around, but I ended up finding one myself.

When we arrived at this property it appeared very disorganized beginning with the front parking area. When we went inside we were told by the owner that there were no rooms available and he was overbooked, even though we had booked an hour earlier. The entry way and owner’s front room we were invited into were messy and dirty.
