Look, Paul is a good guy. But he *could* look to building a small separate toilet outside so that the 4 guests + Paul are not all queuing up for the same toilet at the same time? Not a criticism but a suggestion.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Le hôte est très prévenant et essaye de faire de son mieux pour satisfaire ses clients, dans les conditions offertes par sa maison : cependant une seule salle de bain à partager avec d'autres locataires est insuffisante, ainsi que la cuisine qui est assez petite si tous les locataires veulent l'utiliser au même moment.
Mise à part ce qui précède, les stores blancs de la chambre laissent pénétrer le matin toute la lumière. Cela est un inconvénient de taille pour ceux qui ont besoin de dormir avec des rideaux ou des stores occultantes.

Reviewed May 21, 2026The house was really neat and cozy. Whenever it got too cold we could boost the heater and out room got very very warm. Location was also great, the Dart station was only 6 minutes walk from the house which was very convenient way of traveling to city center or Howth to see the cliffs. Paul is also very kind and helpful person. Couldn't ask for a better host.

It can be a bit cold inside which is quite usual in Ireland but we got extra blankets.

Reviewed Apr 25, 2026This property was absolutely exceptional. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, which immediately made me feel comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need — an oven, a stove, a microwave, and a fridge. It truly felt like a home away from home. There was also a washing machine, which is a huge advantage if you’re planning a longer stay.
I loved everything!

Reviewed Mar 31, 2026The host is very pleasant, explained everything clearly. The house itself is located in a calm residential area, it's not new, but maintained very well. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nearby there is a dart station, which allows easy and fast connection to the City Centre and other interesting spots.
The heating system is not very good. You can only turn it on every 2 hours, so every morning the house will be very cold (or you need to wake up every 2 hours to turn on heating). The bathroom is especially cold. The water in the shower also is not really hot and temperature is not consistent

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026Kostengünstige Alternative zu den überteuerten Hotels in der Innenstadt - grad zum St. Patrick's Day. Der Empfang war herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Natürlich kann man keine Hotel-Standards erwarten, aber wenn man eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist, ist es eine gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Die Leap Visitor Card kostete auch nur 24 Euro für 7 Tage, sodass der Transport mit dem DART kein Problem war.
Gemeinschaftsbad ist nicht wirklich meins - grad wenn man dringend auf Toilette möchte und das Bad grad belegt ist. Am Wochenende fährt der DART auch erst ab ca. 9 Uhr und man muss dann relativ weit bis zur Bushaltestelle laufen, wenn man früh um 7 oder 8 Uhr für eine Tour in der Stadt sein möchte. Ging aber auch.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026Paul was a really friendly host who accommodated a late arrival time. He introduced us to the city giving recommendations, and the room and amenities were all we could ask for. Also great that he let us adjust the heating which in January was a relief.
The single bathroom in the property meant sometimes had to wait a bit longer in the mornings and evenings but that was fine by us!

Reviewed Jan 1, 2026absolutely loved the location, such easy access into the city centre and Howth. Was very worth the price considering that accommodation in Dublin is fairly expensive. The place was situated on a very nice and quiet street too. Was a comfortable and clean stay.
Was not an issue for us, but just a note that the bathroom is shared by multiple guests, we just showered earlier to avoid having to queue so that wasn't a problem

Iš pradžių buvo šiek tiek sunku suprasti, kur yra tinkamas įėjimas į namą, tačiau galiausiai susiorientavome. Bendravimas su šeimininku vyko sklandžiai. Bendra virtuvė buvo tvarkinga, joje galėjome pasigaminti maisto.
Namuose buvo vėsu, nebuvo šildytuvo. Keista pasirodė tai, kad šeimininkas iškart parašydavo, jei ką nors padarydavome ne taip. Vos pavalgę pusryčius sulaukėme žinutės, kada jau išsiregistruosime ir išeisime, nors iki nustatyto laiko dar buvo likę pakankamai. Manau, kad daugiau čia neapsistosime.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2025"20 Minutes to the City Center" is fulfilling what once was a common offering in Ireland - namely providing clean, comfortable, basic, easy to find, friendly BUT affordable accommodation. There are no unnecessary frills provided - you get what was promised. Paul is also very helpful indeed. The cost of accommodation in Dublin is an International joke - most places are happy to gouge the market - a very short term approach and one that will come back to bite. Paul's in it for the long haul. I needed an overnight and a good night's sleep as my flight had arrived in late. Some of the places on offer on accommodation sites chance their arm and had horrible reviews. Paul's place by contrast had excellent ones and I was more than happy with my experience - I will be returning
I would install softer lighting and more pictures to make it more homely.
