Reviewed Mar 7, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Parkside Retreat. A near new townhouse beautifully presented with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were super comfortable, best ones we slept on during our NZ trip! Westfield shopping centre is only 3mins away by car.
Loved it all. Suggest a small clothes airer would be a handy addition.

Only downfall would be that we popped out to the warehouse up the road at 9.20am while we were waiting for our clothes to finish drying, we were gone for 15 minutes and the cleaner had already come in by the time we got back

All parties found the beds uncomfortable. With one being quite low to the ground. Upon returning from our meal out, we unfortunately no longer had a park available. So, I had to park right outside the door. Updated beds and maybe a sign on the park that goes with the apartment, and it would be a 10/10.. beautiful modern and fresh apartment otherwise.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2025This place was neat and tidy.Spot less clean.hardly 10mins from the city centre and less than a minute down the road from Westfield mall and supermarket. Kitchen had nice coffee/oil /salt/pepper daily essentials to cook which we thought was very thoughtful. This is a gem and good value for money .The host is lovely too .Will only stay here everytime I come back to Christchurch.Has a parking too which you hardly find in Cc. Thank you host ☺️

Reviewed Jun 6, 2025Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and good bed linen. Good location for access to university and Riccarton Mall a very short drive away. 2 heat pumps meant we were nice and warm at night both in the living areas and bedrooms.
It seems petty but given the high standard of the property it would have been nice to have had decent sized mugs for a cup of tea and a pod coffee machine is pretty standard these days! (A plunger was provided though). Also nice to have a small milk on arrival. Also, a duvet for the sofa bed which we did use. Good job on the wine glasses though!

Reviewed Feb 25, 2025I was unable to get access to wify on arrival in Christchurch, but got my cousin to speak to the host and get the door code, etc. The property was very clean and the facilities were excellent. Felt like home.
The property had been kept in new like condition and included amenities like a Dishwasher, Ironing Board and a washer and dryer. We found extra bed linen, pillows, etc. Even a lint brush was included along with cookware, toaster, tea, coffee, sugar.
