A great place to stay, super friendly and helpful owners.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable. It is also a central location.

The Motel was clean & tidy & meet my expectations, also I missed a text message from the owners regarding the lock box code for the room key, as I needed to check in quite late (1130) pm and owner still came out to let me into the room which I was very was grateful for.

The staff are friendly, and the location is nice

The road is quite dark at night, so it can be difficult to find the entrance to the motel

It was very clean and very reasonably priced. The king size bed was roomy and comfortable. Doggie friendly

Overall it is very run down, the kitchen had random utensils and plate etc. The fridge had an open packet of dog food in it??????? The hot water cylinder was extremely noisy, especially at night. Water that comes through kitchen taps and shower was scalding so we had to be careful. Dripping tap in the kitchen which seemed to worsen during our stay. We were in a unit down the back and it was really quiet.

Very tired unit, dirt build-up on kitchen surfaces, fly-blown blinds, refrigerator dirty and door didn't close without force, Tea un-drinkable, just two milk sachets. Despite having paid up-front we checked out the following morning and left a clear note/message as to why.

Room was comfy and location was great!

I think rooms could do with a bit of upgrade - sheets/covers could be neutral colors, curtains could be more sleek and kitchen should definitely have a frying pan. Addition of some fresh plants and diffusers could make room sound more chic and appealing. Small changes can really life the appeal of the room.

Great location but unit no. 3 was too close to the road so it was very noisy.

This motel has everything. I enjoyed my stay there with my family. The availability of the kitchen is pretty handy for budget travellers.

The motel was closely located for our purpose of being in Christchurch. We received a very friendly welcome on checking in. The bed was reasonably comfortable

We knew when we booked in it was only a 3 star motel..... But it was disappointing. The unit itself needs a really good upgrade, it's very tired. The unit was cold (stayed in July) and eventually warmed it up by running both the heater (very noisy) and the bathroom heater simultaneously for several hours. The flooring is lino, (a thin floor rug in front of the couch only) which contributed to the chill. Please get some new bath towels, they were very thin, old and didn't match. Please learn to make the bed so the bottom sheet is flat and tight, and not wrinkly down the end of the bed under foot. It made me wonder if the sheets were fresh on the bed? We had planned to stay again next week but have opted to spend a little more and ensure warmth and comfort.

Everything very quiet too

Was a comfortable, warm, homely room. It was dated but clean and had everything we needed. Location was great for us.

Really good sized room. Bed was comfortable. It was good to have a full sized kitchen. Right across the road from The Warehouse with bakery etc a short walk away. We arrived late but got text instructions for our arrival which made it easy for us to get into our unit. Car parking right outside our unit. The motel is a bit older but it's one of the cheapest around so a good choice if you're on a budget.

Room overdue for major renovation. Bed overdue for replacement. Mattress very old and stained. Some of the switches need repairs. Heating of the room needs improvement.

The location is super handy, the bed we had was nice and big and comfy. The room we had stayed in was very warm . East check in and out

The only thing would be the cuboard with the cups ect was in an awkward place to get in and out of

Communication was wonderful! Denise was so helpful and friendly! Doordash was still operating at 10pm when we checked in and the warehouse is open until midnight across the road! the room was very spacious and had a seperate closed off bathroom AND full kitchen area!! This will be our new family go to :)

Not that we didn't "like" it, but for those who expect matching dinnerware and modern fittings and finishings, this is not for you. This is good value for money and exactly as advertised a 'motel lodge' you pay for that cosy homely feel and location.
