Stunning place and lovely people. The area is perfectly situated to explore and get a feel for local life. The host and whole family are so friendly and helpful. The room is better in person than the photos and is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Fast and reliable wifi and a desk. Comfortable bed and really nice, extremely safe and friendly space. I will be back!

He recorrido meses Vietnam y nunca he visto expuestos así sin espacio apenas para moverse a unos pobres gatitos

Tres pobres gatos estaban encerrados en un espacio de un metro cuadrado como si fueran adornos en la zona de la cafetería. La cara de tristeza de esos gatos no se me van a borrar nunca de la memoria. He tardado mucho escribir esta review. Mi amigo y yo hemos pedido de abrir un momento la puerta donde estaban y los pobres gatitos salieron un momento a jugar. Me pareció terrible contraste con lo bonito del hotel y el personal, el tener a esos gatos como si fueran parte del decorado sin luz solar y apretados en ese cubil. Terriblemente triste. Cuánta falta de empatía. Jamás olvidaré la cara de esos gatos. Creo que el empleado por ser amable nos dijo que estaban en adopción lo cual es posiblemente mentira. No había ningún cartel donde decía que estaban en adopción, solo había un cartel diciendo que no se abra la puerta. Otra prueba de maldad. He estado hace dos meses allí. Ruego que esos gatos no sigan en esas condiciones insalubres. Por más bonito que sea el lugar y los ricos cafés que hacen, esa imagen está marcada en mi. Desolador

The atmosphere of the accommodation is very cozy! The staff is so kind and welcoming. It’s located in a lovely coffee shop. I felt instantly home!

La stanza era molto spaziosa e pulitissima e il bagno, nonostante fosse all’esterno della stanza, era solo per noi. Il ragazzo che ci ha accolti é stato gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Anche la posizione è molto comoda, leggermente spostata rispetto al centro ma in un quartiere comodo per muoversi e pieno di bar carini. Raccomandatissimo!

Nice perk to have free drinks and laundry service! Staff were very friendly and helpful, attentive to any issues or concerns we had with the room. Towels, AC and fridge provided.

The shower wasn't great because it is right over the toilet so the whole bathroom gets soaked. Would prefer bar or bottle of soap available rather than packeted body wash that was difficult to open. Would have liked somewhere to refill water bottles with clean water.

La chambre est spacieuse et propre et la localisation est très agréable. Ce n’est pas en plein centre mais c’est à côté et le quartier est très animé. Les matchas du café d’en bas sont excellents ! 😍

On pensait qu’on aurait une douche dans la chambre mais finalement elle était hors de la chambre. Ça ne posait pas de problème mais ce n’était pas très bien indiqué sur la réservation.

We agree with all the other positive comments! Very nice, quite and comfortable room, in walking distance to main center. The owners were kind and helpful, I even got gifted a hat 🧢. Nice coffee downstairs to start the day or to work.

L’hôte est très arrangeant et accueillant, la chambre est très propre. Nous avons réservé la chambre avec salle de bain extérieur privée mais ce n’était pas gênant car c’était la porte juste à côté, avec une clé pour fermer. Tout était très bien. Pour 23.000 vous serez dans le district 1 avec un grab scooter, ce qui rend l’emplacement idéal et au calme. Si nous revenons un jour, nous choisirons le même logement sans hésiter.

Některé doplňky v pokoji už jsou starší a mají něco za sebou, chybějící ventilace u externí koupelny.

I stayed here for three nights and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel manager was extremely warm and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. When I needed an extra blanket, he was very thoughtful and helped me find one, which I truly appreciated. Communication was smooth throughout my stay, and I really felt well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Ho Chi Minh City. Highly recommended.

This was a great guesthouse above a lovely coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and readily available. The room is so comfy and clean. I definitely recommend this place! Such a quirky experience.

I spent 2 days in here ,and every thing was perfect for me , the boss was nice and friendly supported me every thing i needed , if i will go to bussiness travel i will stay in here again

I had a very pleasant stay. The room was huge, very comfortable, with great linen and everything I needed inside. The staff were extremely helpful, they assisted with my deliveries, helped me find restaurants, did my laundry for free, and even offered a drink, which was very kind. The value for money was excellent. The property is in District 4, which is quieter than District 1. It’s easy and affordable to get around by Grab, and the area itself is interesting to explore.

Von allen Unterkünften auf unserer Asienreise war diese mit Abstand diejenige, in der wir uns am wohlsten gefühlt haben. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und bestens ausgestattet, und das Bett so gemütlich, dass man es am liebsten gar nicht verlassen hätte. Auch die Drinks im Shop unten waren hervorragend. Wir haben uns jeden Tag welche geholt und vermissen sie jetzt schon.

A very nice, quiet place, not far from the center. The room is bright, with high ceilings, which is important to me personally. There's a really cool cafe downstairs where you can both work and relax. The people who work there are very nice, polite and warm. I know they're planning to open a similar cafe on Phu Quoc Island, so I wish them success with all my heart!

Die Besitzer waren super hilfsbereit und nett. Wir waren knapp eine Woche dort und können diese Unterkunft empfehlen. Es gibt im Erdgeschoss ein Cafe mit Co-Working-Möglichkeit und viel Streetfood direkt nebenan.

La cafeteria del hostal la abren a las 9am!! Muy tarde para mí por lo que nunca pude desayunar en ella. Las sábanas y fundas de almohada no eran de algodón.

I booked to stay here (Góc Hải Phòng Drinks & Homestay) for 2 nights recently. Just a quick stop over in Saigon (to see family and friends) during my work trip in Singapore. Had the best time staying at this location. Everything is at your doorstep. Food, drinks, restaurants, fresh fruit markets is just a few minutes walk from this accommodation. The hosts and staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them, they are very accommodating and professional. Property is very clean, the drinks are to die for, my favourite drink is the soursop tea, there are heaps of other nice drinks too. Will definitely come back and stay again. Highly recommend.

Shared bathroom, but that didn’t bother me as you only share with one other room and the low accommodation fees has already taken into account to compensate for it.

I liked our room, decorations, bed everything was good. Staff was charming and helped and assisted a lot. It was shocking for us that the bathroom was outside the room (we didn’t notice it was mentioned as “external bathroom” when we did our booking). Since we have a habit to take a shower and don’t wear much clothes after that (especially when you’re slightly wet) it was a bit difficult and weird for us to walk all the way from the bathroom back to the room. Also cuz the toilet and bathroom were outside we had a feeling like it’s not our private bathroom/toilet. Other than that everything was ok. It was also a bit shocking that we couldn’t bring our food/delivery to the first floor and eat there since it’s not a common space for the hotel guests but a tea shop. I think this place should be considered like a Homestay rather that hotel with the guest area on the first floor. The area was good. We found a lot of nice restaurants nearby. Cozy and calm. I’m happy we chose this location. Also there was not room cleaning what was totally fine with us, but it was a bit surprising. I later found out that it’s a common thing I. Vietnam. Overall, our stay was good. We liked our room, staff and area. It was a bit sad and inconvenient that shower/toilet were not in the room :(

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par le jeune réceptionniste! L’équipe a été aux petits soins pendant nos deux nuits, ils nous ont même offerts un milktea local avant notre départ! Bien situé district 4, pas trop loin des points d’attraction de la ville, et surtout très au calme!!!

La seule petite chose c’est la climatisation qui ne marchait pas dans notre chambre (ou que nous n’avons pas su faire marcher, nous n’avons pas osé demandé donc c’était peut-être de notre faute) et le matelas un peu trop dur à notre goût mais c’est tout! Globalement une très très bonne expérience!

This was a lovely, spacious room to stay in. The staff were very kind and helpful and did our laundry for free which was so kind! The building is clean and in a nice area. We walked to a local swimming pool one morning which was nice.

Loved our stay at Goc Hai Phong! The bed was the most comfortable we’ve had during our travels, the room was modern and the hosts couldn’t have been better. Literally the only negative I can think of was the low shower pressure so if that was sorted it would have been perfect. Would happily stay again 😄

The staff is just soooo genuinely kind. It was a pleasure to stay here all around, as they were helpful with any request. The location is great, the rooms are spacious and luckily were supplied with both an AC and a ventilator. Not to mention that the drinks at the café downstairs are really really good. Large light room. Desk to work at. Good value. Enjoyed having a lovely cafe at the property. Hosts were very receptive to requests.

It was squeaky clean. The room was spacious, enough for a couple. The owner was nice and helpful. You can have your clothes washed for free. Parking is free, too.

The most annoying thing perhaps is the toilet. It is too small even for one person. The toilet door is not opaque enough. You can literally see everything the person who is using the toilet is doing inside.

I really enjoy my stay. It’s a very nice place. The staffs were very welcoming, kind and helpful during my stay. Clean room with a nice balcony, comfortable and cosy. The price is reasonable. I also really enjoyed the cafe on the first floor, everything was so yummy. Thank you so much for everything!

I highly recommend this homestay! We were 2 weeks there and everything was uncomplicated. The room was very clean, has an air conditioner and a shower with warm water. The owners were very kind and helpful. We would definitely come back! :)

We loved our stay at Goc Hai Phong. The room was huge, clean and very nicely decorated. It was also really bright and there was a comfy little reading chair by one of the windows. The guys who ran it were always very smiley and helpful. We also really liked the location, down a cute alleyway which felt very local and with lots of good, cheap food around. The WiFi was fast and they provided water, clean towels and toiletries.

We got woken up early from the sun coming in and the morning traffic in the alley (although this isn't that unusual in VN!) Our own bathroom was just outside the room but it wasn't quite as nice as the rest of the place.

The location was great for what I wanted. Away from the main city centre (but still reachable fairly quickly by Grab Bike/Car) but with plenty of nice restaurants and coffee places nearby. The room itself was great 👍

Very minor but I asked for advice on where to exchange money and the staff didn't know of anywhere local.

The home stay far exceeded our expectations. It was so clean, and the attention to detail was amazing. We loved our room, it was very nicely decorated, with a smart TV and a balcony. The hosts were fantastic, and even did our laundry for free, which was so kind of them. We enjoyed going to the cafe for smoothies too :) we highly recommend the place, it is amazing. The location is great, walking distance to everything.
