The beds were super comfortable as we had amazing sleep. The lounge area couch was super comfortable as well as the heating function in the lounge area. The bathrooms were spacious and showers were amazing. The outdoor entertainment and braai area were exceptional. There were plenty of pillows and blankets and towels for this winter month. This was beyond beautiful.

The kitchen cupboards was not very clean, including the inside of the kitchen cupboards. The main bedroom heating function on the aircon was not working as it was blowing cold air.

It was in police area, and the security was tight.

The one thing was not good , the electricity was gone during the time where need to prepared out for church, as we book to attend church conference

Our stay at Oak House in Hillcrest was nothing short of exceptional. The house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and truly feels like a home away from home. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful family getaway or a place to recharge, Oak House provides the perfect setting. The amenities are outstanding. The braai area is fantastic for entertaining, the bathrooms are luxurious and beautifully maintained, and the collection of books and games provides endless enjoyment for both adults and children. A special mention must go to Roy, the owner, who was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and attentive throughout our stay. His hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I genuinely believe it is a privilege to have the opportunity to stay in a property of this quality. I highly recommend Oak House to anyone visiting Hillcrest and looking for comfort, peace, and an unforgettable stay.

I loved everything about the property but mostly it’s owner/host Roy. He is truly a great man who ensures that his every guest feels welcome, happy and safe. I felt as if it was home away from home. Checking out was the hardest because of having to accept the fact that I had to leave this amazing place😅🤞🏽

no breakfast was supplied, the location is great

the hot water just needs attention, dish clothes are a necessity to wash dishes with, a set of pyrex dishes can be supplied for warming up food and storing food, I did point out the problem with the washing machine to the owner as we couldn't use it,

We had free roam, we could come and go as we liked, and we had plenty of room

The kitchen was not that well equipped, We did not have any Tupperware bowls to store our food in for the next day, and there was no grater for the cheese

The house was well-equipped, neat and suited the needs of three couples as a base in the area.

Location was great, the house was fully equipped, comfortable and safe. The owner also turned up the water heating for the shower 😀

The location and how well equipped the accomodation was. The stay was comfortable and quiet, a real home away from home.

The only small gripe was that the hot water didn't last long enough.

The cleanliness did not meet our expectations. There weren’t enough glasses and crockery and there was no fencing to keep our dogs separate from the rest of the property. Although we did enjoy our stay and the host did make a plan to corner our section off

Oak House is a very well equipped, beautifully decorated home, we were very comfortable and loved the layout and decor.. Checkin and check out were a breeze. We will most definitely be back.

The house is clean and has everything you need. Its home away from home indeed. The house is in a quiet area which is very good for relaxing.

The fridge is not working properly, most of our food went off and we had to throw it away.

Wow. What an incredible spot. Location is perfect. Between Hillcrest & Waterfall. Very quiet, peaceful and Zen. The House is a great size, loved the manicured garden where we could have a good old South African "braai" BBQ. The bedrooms are well kitted out and very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked and user friendly. There is even a laundry area. The lounge is big with a large L shaped lounge suite and dining table and chairs. All the comforts of home. The lamps and finishes are beautiful details that just finish things off. I can say so much more but do yourself a favor and book. Roy has been very accommodating to 4 overwhelmed women and 2 little boys who arrived from New Zealand and the UK respectively. (Family emergency) Highly Recommend

Very comfortable and well equipped property, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Brazilian (charcoal) available as well as full kitchen facilities, including an air fryer, you just provide the groceries. It was clean and had everything we needed as a family.

No issues at all with the property, there was a bit of neighbourhood noise early mornings (dogs barking, traffic) otherwise it was really good.

Felt like home away from home. We had to make an emergency booking due to family in hospital and within an hour we were able to book in. Roy was extremely accommodating and helpful with all of our needs. The place was clean, fully furnished even with a washing machine and tumble dryer which was perfect for an emergency trip. Would recommend this for anyone.

the place looked exactly like the pictures; the Host gave me the best hospitality. cleanliness and neatness were the best. i loved everything about this place and yet to visit again, I had the best 4 day stay.

Loved the space and braai area. We had such a lovely family dinner. Roy was exceptional, I was able to contact him with ease as though I knew him forever. The home was absolutely well kept and had everything we needed. Truly we felt and home that on check out day it was a bitter sweet moment.

Peaceful, wonderful place to have a restful stay. Roy was very accommodating. House has everything you would need for a weekend stay. Great yard space if you are bringing your furry friend.
