The team- really well organised and friendly. Our check in from Flavia was exceptional- warm and genuine hospitality.

The beach wasn’t our favourite in Mauritius, and the cups/glasses in the room weren’t cleaned to standard.

Everyone was so friendly. We felt so at ease and welcomed. It was also super clean and everything looked after

Tout était parfait . Le personnel est aux petits soins . La plage est magnifique, la chambre est spacieuse, le service est impeccable, le petit déjeuner est vraiment copieux et diversifié. Un grand merci au personnel et surtout à Jennifer qui s est bien occupée de nous.

Our suit was a bit dirty the floor was dusty, the toilet has a really bad smell, I even informed the staff more than once about it but still. I hope you can do something for the bad smell of the toilet

So TL;DR one if not the best accommodating resorts we have ever been in, with great food and even grater staff, a most stay if you are in Mauritius !!! So first things, first we were welcomed with a hot towel and 2 tropical drinks, and did our check ins. The rooms were huge with a large deck pointing to the beautiful garden, with a a delicious fruit basket. The resort offers a huge pool area, a well equipped gym, and even a yoga area, and also sea water activities all included (when it's not raining 😅) The resort also offers a pletera of activities including Volleyball, Arts, Billiards, Tennis, Pickle ball, Chess and also PS5. Special thanks to Jean Paul, Chef Nancy, and Head Barista Billal and Krissan for the incredible treatment during our Honeymoon, they made us feel special and like royalty, look no further and book this hotel we can't recommend this place enough.

So gut wie alles hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Personal war sehr nett und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

The food was absolutely outstanding, with an incredible variety of high-quality dishes at every buffet meal. Everything was beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. Since the hotel is located on the eastern side of the island, we expected it to be quite windy during the winter months. However, the beach area with the sun loungers was somehow well protected from the wind, so it was never a problem at all. This was a wonderful surprise. The beach itself was beautiful and very well maintained. There was always cold water and fresh towels available, and the sun loungers were exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The sand was very clean and, unlike many beaches in Mauritius, there was hardly any coral, making it very pleasant to walk on. As we were staying for our honeymoon, the hotel also provided us with several complimentary extras, which made our stay even more special. We really appreciated these thoughtful touches. The hotel’s architecture and overall design were also very pleasant. Even the smallest room was a suite of more than 60 square metres, so it was incredibly spacious and more than enough for two people. We had to leave the hotel very early in the morning, and they kindly prepared a breakfast box for us to take with us, which was another thoughtful gesture. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. We stayed at four luxury hotels during our time in Mauritius, and this was by far our favourite. It was the best hotel of our entire trip, and we would happily stay here again.

There was only one downside to our stay. In the evenings, we noticed quite a few cockroaches around the bar area. We understand that the hotel is surrounded by nature, so we are not sure how much this can be prevented. Still, it was a little unpleasant. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We really didn’t want to leave!

Vi hade bokat ett handikapprum och fått det bekräftat!! MEN Badrum och WC fungerade INTE!! var egentligen std rum där de lagt till en ramp vid ytterdörren...

Truly exceptional hotel, everything was perfect, the food was delicious, the room were perfectly clean and done twice a day. A lot of free water activities and in general activities for kids/adults. Honestly one of my best 5 star experiences.

The house keeping team is really bad. Sometime they knock the door at 7 am !! Never do refill for water , shampoo, hand-wash!! Even tissues they will not provide ‘til you ask for

This hotel was fantastic! The staff were all friendly and housekeeping was great, we loved the kids club and the glass bottom boat ride! The breakfasts were great as well.

We didn’t realize when we booked but this hotel was quite far from all the major tourist spots so if you are not looking to stay in the hotel it is better to find something in the west side!

Our stay at LUX* Belle Mare was truly exceptional from beginning to end. This is a genuine five-star resort, not only because of its beautiful facilities and stunning location, but above all because of the warmth, professionalism and attention to detail of its people. A very special thank you to Sheila, the General Manager, whose presence, kindness and leadership can clearly be felt throughout the hotel, and to her entire team. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for, always with a smile and a personal touch. The resort is also an excellent choice for families. We travelled with our two children and particularly appreciated the dedicated teens’ area. It is a fantastic space where teenagers can relax and enjoy themselves, with table tennis, billiards, padel courts and even a guitar available to play. These thoughtful facilities made the experience enjoyable for the whole family and gave our children plenty to do throughout the stay. The food was another major highlight. The breakfast and dinner buffets at MONDO were spectacular, with an outstanding variety, excellent quality and impressive live cooking stations. Beach Rouge, the beachfront restaurant, was also incredible: a wonderful setting, great atmosphere and delicious food, especially the wagyu. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with soft white sand and crystal-clear water, while the large pool and its tropical surroundings create the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy Mauritius. The resort’s contemporary tropical design is elegant, fresh and perfectly integrated into the landscape. We also loved our room: spacious, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, with excellent amenities and thoughtful details throughout. LUX* Belle Mare exceeded our expectations in every way. It combines real luxury with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and, most importantly, truly outstanding service. Without question, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.

The resort was very family-friendly, highly accessible for wheelchair users, and offered a wide range of activities for both children and adults. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The food was outstanding, with plenty of variety to suit everyone. A special thank you to Chef Ahmed, who went above and beyond to ensure that our children enjoyed their meals.

J’ai absolument tout aimé. L’architecture du lieu est époustouflante, tout en gardant un côté cosy. L’hôtel regorge de petit endroits aux caractères différents, on va de découverte en découverte. Les restaurants sont au top, la sélection du bar très pointue. La plage est sublimissime. Mais le plus incroyable, c’est la qualité du service et la gentillesse de toute l’équipe du Lux Belle Mare. It was upsetting, but I would like to sincerely thank the hotel team for the way they handled the situation. The Security Manager, the Events Team, the Guest Relations team, and the Front Desk staff all supported me with genuine care and professionalism. They listened, assisted me, and made me feel valued as a guest. I truly appreciate everything they did for me. The highlight of our stay was definitely the Kids Club. The entire team there was beyond amazing. They were incredibly patient, caring, and wonderful with children. My kids absolutely loved spending time there every day. The activities were creative, educational, and so much fun—from yoga classes and cooking sessions to water games and many other engaging activities. It was clear that the team genuinely loves what they do, and they made my children feel happy, safe, and excited every single day. The hotel itself was spotless. Every corner was clean and beautifully maintained. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Very welcoming and nice people who cares about details

Our experience at the hotel was terrible. The service did not match the price paid for the stay. We encountered some issues upon check-in; the duty manager was rude and unprofessional. Instead of resolving the problem calmly, he inappropriately told us to leave the hotel—even though we had children with us. Restaurant service was very poor: no guest reception or welcome, no smiles, and delays in taking orders. Service at the kids' club was also very poor; the female staff showed no interest in visitors or children. I saw them sitting around doing nothing but chatting with each other, paying us no attention or offering any welcome. There are no entertainment facilities for guests, and the hotel is very boring. This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in Mauritius, and I will not return, given the high cost relative to the extremely poor service.
