Overall, I really liked the hotel, and the staff were also very nice. The beach was quite nice, and the glass-bottom boat tour was very well organized and thoughtfully planned. The location of the beach was also great.

However, especially around the restaurant area, I sometimes felt that there was too much focus on upselling, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. For a hotel and restaurants at this level, I would expect the interaction with the waitstaff to feel more natural and customer-led rather than feeling like we were constantly being encouraged to purchase additional services or experiences. For example, regarding the fire-side restaurant, we were asked about it more than once every day, even after we had already said no. It would have been more comfortable if our initial decision had been respected.

This is a small very pretty boutique hotel. The rooms are comfortable and a good size. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our room had an awful smell from the toilet, I think the drains. It was unpleasant. So when we arrived there was air freshener in the room but that was very overpowering. The swimming pool is quite small for the numbers of rooms. During high season I think the pool area would be particularly over crowded..

An absolutely exceptional stay at SALT of Palmar. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were phenomenal, warm, attentive, genuine and always willing to go the extra mile. The facilities were amazing, the service was exceptional, and every detail of our stay was handled with such care. I genuinely cannot fault a single thing. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow room, and waking up every morning to those breathtaking ocean views was something truly special. It made our stay in Mauritius unforgettable. A very special mention has to go to the General Manager, Dheeraj. He is genuinely one of the most phenomenal individuals we have ever come across in hospitality. His kind hearted nature, warmth, professionalism and the way he personally engages with every guest are on another level. He leads by example, and you can see his influence throughout the entire hotel. The level of care, passion and attention to detail from the whole team is exceptional. SALT of Palmar didn’t just give us an amazing hotel stay. They gave us an experience we will remember for a very long time. Exceptional people, beautiful facilities, breathtaking views and truly world class hospitality. Without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We cannot recommend SALT of Palmar enough and will absolutely be back!

There was genuinely nothing we didn’t like about the property. From the service and facilities to the location, rooms and overall experience, everything exceeded our expectations. We honestly could not fault our stay.

Beautiful hotel in the Belle Mare region, with crystal clear waters, great beach and amazing amenities. The food was delicious and the rooftop bar is a cosy, intimate place with a good selection of drinks.

The hotel is amazing, at human scale. Rishi is of great help to organise any activity the way you want. The food quality at the restaurant is literally world class, as well as the bakeries. I recommend it 200%

- Odeur d’humidité dans la chambre qui a persisté tout au long du séjour - Nous avions la chambre 205 situé juste au dessus de la salle pour manger donc beaucoup de bruit le matin et le soir après le dîner. La chambre est située également juste après l’escalier donc nous entendions les conversations des personnes - Insonorisation pas au top - Restaurant de l’hôtel très cher pour la cuisine proposé

Beautiful hotel with many interesting design details, very friendly staff, great food and incredible views of the water. I really enjoyed all the additional activities on offer (forest bathing, painting classes, the chef's table experience at Tek Tek), the spa services are excellent and the rooms are very comfortable.

La struttura è sicuramente bella ed esclusiva e si affaccia su un tratto di costa incontaminato. Da segnalare ottime colazioni.

Pur trattandosi di un cinque stelle, Salt of Palmar non è stato pienamente all’altezza delle aspettative per una struttura di questo livello. La posizione è sicuramente interessante e il concept da cui nasce è ricercato, ma sono proprio i dettagli a fare la differenza e qui ci è sembrato che mancasse qualcosa. Le camere vista mare non ci hanno particolarmente affascinato: la vista dal terrazzino è piuttosto risicata e doccia e servizi avrebbero probabilmente bisogno di essere rinfrescati. Anche il servizio ci ha lasciato un po’ perplessi: il personale è gentile e generalmente rispettoso, ma ci è sembrato spesso un po’ invadente. Abbiamo costantemente percepito una certa spinta verso l’upselling di servizi ed esperienze extra, cosa che alla lunga ci è sembrata poco in linea con il livello e la filosofia che ci si aspetterebbe da una struttura di alto livello. In generale abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno piacevole, ma per il prezzo e soprattutto per essere un cinque stelle ci aspettavamo maggiore cura, attenzione ai dettagli e quel qualcosa in più. Non un’esperienza da cinque stelle.

There were many things I loved-the beach is divine! Liked the creative & fun exterior & interior design ( library is full of impressive books). Hotel is well kept - the staff keep the common areas pristine at all times- however it is nowhere near a 5 star hotel though. Disappointed that no effort to make our BabyMoon special was made- not even a cookie in our room with a card. The rooms are very small & impractical - toilet is tiny. The bathrooms should be enclosed - our entire room smelled of moist if the aircon wasn’t being blasted, we could smell the drainage from the shower. Most of the middle aged male staff is really awful to Black people, rude & brash & will leave you mid conversation to attend to other patrons. The 2 old men usually working the breakfast shift are divine as well as the young men & the two young ladies (esp Nikita). The tall skinny manager should not be client facing- observing how he manages the staff is rather disturbing. The lack of transparency with regards to packages & pricing was truly shocking- we were on full board but had to pay for water at all meals. We felt very cheated when we found out upon arrival that most of the good meals were not included in our full board package. On the first day the food is really impressive, however the repetitive menu options soon become a let down - all meals had the same ingredients: banana, coconut, beetroot, lamb, shrimp, local market fish & mozzarella - there wasn’t a balanced variety of vegetables such as broccoli & other greens. By the second day, I’d had enough & finding an option to eat became frustrating and I noticed other patrons looking at the menu with the same disappointment. The special desserts at dinner were such a treat as well as the sorbet & ice-cream.

I had a lovely stay at SALT. The staff were always friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was outstanding. As it is a boutique hotel, it never felt crowded and there was always a lounger available to lie in the sun.

An absolutely exceptional stay from beginning to end. This is one of those rare hotels where you can feel that every single detail has been carefully thought through. Everything was beautiful, effortless, and incredibly well done. What made the experience particularly special was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly while remaining highly professional, attentive, and thoughtful. The level of service was outstanding throughout my stay. One of the absolute highlights was a cooking class with the chef. I have done cooking classes in different places around the world, and this was genuinely the best one I have ever experienced. It was personal, fun, inspiring, and something I will remember for a long time. I also loved the range of activities available — snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and much more — all complimentary, which made it so easy to enjoy everything Mauritius has to offer and made the stay feel even more special. The hotel itself is simply beautiful, with a wonderful atmosphere and an incredible attention to detail. I enjoyed every moment of my stay and honestly struggled to find a single thing that could have been better. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A truly wonderful experience, and somewhere I would return to without hesitation.

I appreciated that there are no TVs in the room, which, I think is supposed to reduce the noise levels. Yoga mat is a nice addition, too. Most staff we interacted with seem to be very friendly and are trying to be helpful. Hotel feels quite original, both in architecture and room concept, as well as the fact that there's no classic reception - instead, check-in is being done in a more casual way at the lobby.

It's unfortunate that hotel is designed in a circular way which causes a lot of echo through hallways so if any guest is loud in the hotel, you are bound to hear it. Also if there's music at the restaurant/bar or the lobby, there's not a single room where music is entirely inaudible due to semi-circular shape and open plan design. If you are not sound-sensitive like we are (especially my wife who is autistic), probably you won't mind it, but we struggled with this and had to have our room changed to the farthest one - which hotel gladly did. We particularly struggled because on that day there was a screening of World Cup finals in the lobby (we booked a hotel just to escape even louder environment of our neighborhood where sports center had a full-night party), but considering that events like that don't happen on a regular basis, I believe that the hotel is otherwise silent during nights.

The staff was amazing . Kindly check the receptionist who checked me in ( Can’t remember his name ) and the restaurant???? Amazing two amazing old men basking in happiness as they served me breakfast every morning . One could say they are in their 20’s !!! I was baffled by their service . bool and Daaham ( I am sorry for my spelling ) . The older woman at the spa with guy at the spa were amazing . Can’t get off of my body massage done by her and the arm massage by the guy . Kenny was amazing and the handsome young guy from the sales department . The two girls at the reception ???? They helped me in every step of the way ! The House keeper whom I didn’t see personally will fixe my room before I return from breakfast . Thank you alllll

Your No Tv concept and No refrigerator concept needs to be reviewed. We come to relax yes but we will all like to know what’s happening around without switching on our phones and yes we have some beverages we will like t snack on without buying from the hotel and the absence of refrigerators adds up the stress ! Please do review this Again , train external staff to be more polite as the yoga master wasn’t polite on me when I came 2mins late . However the staff apologized and that was cool

The place is clean. The personnel very helpful and welcoming. The food are good. The environment is very quiet and peaceful.

The staff was excellent and very helpful in every way. All very nice and kind. The hotel was clean, the views were incredible, and aesthetically pleasing.

Considering we lean toward the halal option, opting for full board doesn’t offer many choices if you stay for more than 2 nights. The dessert section was slightly disappointing. Also for a 5-star hotel, we would have dxpected moee than just a pool especially in the center.

Schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick hat uns sehr gefallen und war schön eingerichtet. Das Essen war sehr gut. Besonders das frische Brot am Morgen war lecker. Die Küche war abwechslungsreich und wir haben gerne dort gegessen. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Wir hätten gerne öfter im Restaurant des Hotels gegessen, wenn die Preise etwas günstiger gewesen wären.

Srdečné přivítání, milý personál pečující o vás po celou dobu pobytu. Celý hotel má moderní interiér, útulné pokoje s velkou a pohodlnou postelí, prostornou koupelnou a terasou s výhledem na moře. Vynikající kuchyně, vyhřívaný bazén a úžasná pláž jsou další přednosti , díky kterým jsme se do tohoto hotelu vrátili podruhé během našeho pobytu na Mauriciu. Vřele doporučujeme.

Przesympatyczny i bardzo pomocny personel. Przepyszne serwowane śniadanka. Zawsze dostępne miejsce parkingowe. Mieliśmy przemiły pobyt. Dziękujemy Salt of Palmar. This was the best night of our stay in Mauritius. Our only regret is that we stayed for just one night. The hotel offered us complimentary snorkeling and a free glass-bottom boat trip to see the fish. The staff provided exceptional service throughout our stay. The surroundings, cleanliness, and location were all impeccable. Overall, this was the best hotel experience of our entire trip, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.

Everyone working at the hotel is super sweet and accommodating. The hotel design and concept is great. It is well located close to an amazing beach and also has another beach right at the hotel. We got a free room upgrade with breakfast included. The breakfast is very well done and delicious.

The beach the hotel is at isn't the best for lounging around. The room didn't have a fridge so keeping our water cold wasn't possible. The room wasn't as clean as I would have expected out of a 5 star hotel and the toilet/bidet combo was pretty loud and cheaply made. The bed was mattress and pillows were super soft, which isn't our preference, in general the mattress felt too soft for any adult to feel properly supported. The dinner restaurant is too expensive for what it is. There is a better and much cheaper place right outside the hotel.

Tot molt bé i còmode. Els detalls i l’estancia ha estat molt bona. Les activitats de l’hotel també estan molt bé. L’esmorzar esta molt bé i molts plats. Una especial menció per el Senyor Heeroo, que treballa a la piscina i la platja, ens ha fet sentir com uns reis! Un servei de 10.

Com a cosa negativa el preu del restaurant es excessiu per la qualitat dels plats (son plats que podries cuinar facilment a casa pero que valen 20-30€. Aigua a 4,40€ l’ampolla filtrada, quan al costat tenen dispensadors gratuits per els hostes i si no estavem en el restaurant la teniem gratuita. A vegades una mica desorganitzat el servei, els hi aniria bé que cada cambrer se li organitzes una zona. Ja que sovint venien dos/tres persones a preguntar-te el mateix.

As soon as we arrived we were offered a complimentary cocktail which was a sign of things to come. Every single member of staff we have come across in our 5 days here have greeted us and asked us how our stay was. They are very caring and have been fantastic hosts. מלון מדהים מעוצב להפליא, צוות הכי שירותי שיש,אדיבות יוצאת מגדר הרגיל, אנחנו שומרי כשרות והשף בא לפגוש אותנו באופן אישי והתאים לנו מנות דגים כשרות בנייר כסף ובכלים שהוא שומר רק לאוכלי כשרות, המלון נותן בחינם קיאקים סאפים וסיור שנורקלים פעם ביום,הספא היה מעולה!!!

La playa donde está ubicado es espectacular. Personal super amable. Las opciones de comida no son muy amplias pero el cocinero siempre intenta darte soluciones para que puedas comer rico. Las hamacas de la playa y de la piscina tienen un timbre que les suena a los camareros en una pulsera que llevan y te lo traen todo al momento. Siempre hay hamacas y sitios libres y el nivel de lujo es tal que pasan a limpiarte las gafas por las hamacas.

Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas pero la cama es espectacular de grande y cómoda.

Personnel très attentif et prévenant. Nous avons été chouchoutés par Med et toute l'équipe. L'hotel est parfait, calme et confortable, à taille humaine. Superbe plage avec transats et parasols, belle piscine très calme. Literie et chambres vue mer au top. Le petit déjeuner est varié et délicieux et le restaurant sert des plats savoureux de qualité. Très bel endroit pour découvrir l'Ile. Pas de TV mais c'est pour mieux déconnecter et c'est très bien ! Nous avons adoré ! Merci à tous de nous avoir permis de passer un séjour inoubliable.

Le soir où Med n'était pas là le personnel s'est un peu laissé déborder et le service a été plus chaotique. En plus il y avait plus de clients ce soir là. Mais comme tout le monde est hyper gentil et serviable cela n'a pas été gênant.

Everything was spotless, service was great, food was tasty, breakfast is superb, the activities like padel, kayak and pedalo offered for free are great and the surrounding of the hotel is beautiful white sand a clear clean water. And the colorful vibe and design that have the hotel really increase the experience to a different level.

Dit resort was echt geweldig, kleinschalig, persoonlijk en de ligging aan zee met strandbedden, hangmat of zitzak. De extra service dat ze langskomen om je zonnebril schoon te maken (geen zorgen Nederlanders, dit is inclusief) Ook een shotje met een soort sap? Ze zijn gewoon service gericht en vriendelijk. Wat er echt bovenuit stak was het eten en bediening in het restaurant. Ik ben zelf vegan en mijn vriend niet maar op Mauritius hadden we verder veel moeite om vegan eten te krijgen. (Ze begrijpen vaak niet dat kaas van melk wordt gemaakt en mayonaise van ei etc) Hier was alles zonder zorgen en echt op sterrenniveau gepresenteerd. De cauliflower coconut soup is echt iets wat je geprobeerd moet hebben! Wij kozen voor volpension waardoor we minder op de prijs hebben gelet. Ik zag comments dat er wellicht onduidelijkheden waren over wat hier wel en niet bij zit. Dit is nu heel duidelijk aangegeven met een *!en na elke lunch en diner teken je de bon af zodat er geen verwarring kan ontstaan. (Wij hadden exclusief drankjes dus deze tekende we dan af, pas bij uitchecken betalen). Er zit echt genoeg bij, exclusief is bijvoorbeeld de kreeft maar die mis je hier echt niet! Eerste dag gevraagd of ze ook desserts hadden zonder fruit. Uiteindelijk wilde ik 2 dagen later fruit bestellen (ik wilde niet moeilijk doen) als dessert en zei de ober, je vroeg me om iets anders dan fruit en de chef heeft iets voor je gemaakt mocht je dat graag willen. Zonder ernaar te vragen wist hij het dus nog. Top service. (Helaas ik heb je naam niet kunnen onthouden!) Ook het broodplankje, Om voelde gewoon aan dat we erg fan waren want OMY die olijfolie en balsamico zijn van een andere wereld en bracht ons nogmaals een plank. Wij kozen volpension omdat wij overdag meestal water drinken dat bij het zwembad en op het strand te krijgen is. Mocht je graag een ander drankje drinken, cocktails, wijn, bier of fris dan is all inclusief wellicht een fijne optie om over na te denken!

Ze hebben leuke activiteiten echter als het keihard regent weet ik niet goed wat er te doen is. Ze hebben een leuke bibliotheek waar je een speletje kunt doen. Gelukkig hadden wij goed weer! Wat wij leuk vonden maar wellicht goed om te benoemen is dat er watervliegtuigen laag overvlogen.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la vue sur la mer depuis la chambre, la taille raisonnable de l'établissement, le calme et le fait que l'hôtel était ADULT-ONLY. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié les sorties snorkeling en bateau gratuites chaque jour. Le spot de plongée est vraiment très beau et proche de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner était fabuleux. Le personnel était très prévenant.

Les points négatifs sont trop minimes pour être vraiment relevés.

Tolles Gym, schöner Strand und super saubere Zimmer. Kostenloses sunrise und sundowner Yoga sowie Bootsfahrten zu einem mega Schnorchelspot.

Wir hatten nur Frühstück inklusive, die Preise für Selbstzahler im Restaurant waren utopisch (Coladose 6€, kleiner Früchteteller 12€) Fußläufig war ein tolles Restaurant mit fairen Preisen, aber manchmal wäre es praktisch gewesen, schnell etwas im Hotel zu essen/trinken.

Best Reef for colourful fish on a 4 location stay in Mauritius. Big shout out to the Boat team as well.
