Close to the beach, next to the pool. The host took an effort to make the room ready for us earlier. They were responsive to all the questions.

Poorly equipped, no bed lights, no beach towels, standard lower than cheaper places we rented in the same location. There was no sal no sugar, literally notching in the kitchen. Whatever was there was super cheap or old, there was mold on the walls in bathroom. There was no table /side table on roof terrace. Outside furnitures uncomfortable and missing pillows.

Location is nice

Terrible value for money proposition 1. Terrace is completely useless and should not contribute a cent to apartment's price. You basically get a cramped apartment (30 m2 max I beleive) on the 3rd floor (or 2nd if not count ground floor). The terrace is on the 4th floor and is accessible only through a public stairway. There are 3 or 4 terraces on the roof, separated by waist-high walls. The furniture is not usable as it leaves dustry traces on clothes and you wouldn't want to seat on it anyway. Photos at booking.com are completely misleading in that respect. In reality everything is extremely dirty and is not cleanable because that furniture is intended for indoor use and they put it outdoor at a windy spot. The terrace door was not even locked, I later realised why - because nobody ever uses those terraces and nobody cares if they are locked or not. I didn't notice a single person on a single terrace throughout whole Mangroovy compound over our 16 days stay there. We asked the owners to bring the outdoor furniture to the terrace to make it at least partially usable, but that request was ignored. And so was ignored the request to bring a folding bed for our kid. 2. The apartment is not that bright and nice as in the photos. Actually it is dark, worn out and extremely small. There is no hallway at all, you literally get to the living room straight from the stairway. Our disapointment aggravated after our friends had arrived and checked in 120 m2 two bedroom ground floor apartment with a lawn, spacious living room, direct access to the pool and that apartment was cheaper than ours. My recomendation is to book ground floor apartments at Mangroovy, whereas 2nd and especially 3rd floor apartments (provided that terraces are completely pointless) should be massively discounted relative to ground floor. In our case it was the other way around though. Overall my feeling is that the this apatment is advertised in a deceiving manner at booking.com so beware

Stunning view over the pool towards the sea from the balcony plus roof terrace. Good size for a couple - clean and comfortable with all essentials you need.

Delay in sending QR code for entry into El Gouna and cleaners came to the property a little too early on check out day.

Quiet

Lack of communication regarding QR code access to resort and complex, security lock for key is hard to work, no one answered the number you are requested to use - very poor also no toilet roll - it’s the simple things that make the stay better, also some light bulbs not working.
