The room was immaculate and modern. We loved that it was spacious. The location of the apartment was great because it is very close to shopping centres and the sunbet arena for concerts!

The check-in process wasn't as pleasant. The lady who checked us in was dismissive, I didn't have my physical ID as the person who made the booking but my husband had his. I asked the lady if we could use his since the surname is the same and she gave me a dismissive "no" and told us about the apartments being owned privately and left us to stand there. My husband then asked her if there wasn't any alternative to check-in and only then she asked if I didn't have a copy of my ID on my phone and I told her I did. I sent it to their desk via email and then we got assisted. Though, we understood that there were rules & regulations, there was no need to be dismissive and somewhat rude. Another disappointment was when we got to our room, we had requested an early check-in of 2pm but only checked-in at 2.30pm, however when we got to our apartment we unlocked the door to find people in our room, a group of ladies who were sitting in our room looking out the balcony, we got confused and asked if we were in the wrong room but they said no. We eventually realized that they were the hotel's cleaning staff, they were giggling as they walked out with black bin bags and one of them explained that they were busy doing laundry in our room (Linen), she proceeded to ask if they could leave the linen on wash since it was already in the washing machine. Me & my husband were trying to be reasonable people and allowed it. What a big mistake, the ladies forgot to tell us that the washing machine makes a very loud banging noise as it drains the water out or spinning, the noise was so loud that it startled us since we weren't expecting the machine to make loud banging noises likes cops banging down the door. We eventually decided to switch of the machine because the noise was unbearable. At some point during the night, the fridge started making noises as well, we tried to get some rest but struggled.

Efficiency and kindness at the reception. The security is exceptional and the residence is clean. A bonus is that the owner's number actually works. We just did not have time as we had to leave, but I'd book the same room should there be a need to be that side again

It's just a minor thing that I think the owner can fix easily, can be done even tomorrow

No plug for the right hand bed lamp Room wasn't as clean as i would prefer, lots of dust and old chip packages under the bed Holes in the ceilings repair/patched with something that looked like toilet paper Wifi didn't work

The location is perfect, close to entertainment, restaurants and shops

Only 3 minor things: 1. Housekeeping is inconsistent, not sure how it works but they only came once during our 3 night stay 2. The door needs to be fix, but not a big problem 3. The shower drain smells

It’s a interlinked room ( connects to the next room) that made me uncomfortable specifically travelling alone , handle of main door loose , no carpet so the space feels cold . Otherwise not bad

Property is great , situated at a convenient location, though my room was not so clean

The room that was given to me was not so clean , there was woman hair all over the place . It looks like it was not given enough attention to clean

Room was what I expected to be like n the view was nice.

We should have an option of dropping off the key at the boom gate of the parking loft upon checkout, instead of driving around to the reception.

I really liked the apartment — it was clean, comfortable, and well laid out. The atmosphere felt peaceful and homely, and it had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

Pillows were terrible... hard like rocks. Really needs attention. Matress hard and not that comfy. Finding our parking booth was a nightmare.

Comfortable and well equiped for a one night stay. Walking distance to to Sun Bet Arena and the mall.

Apartments needs some TLC. Bathroom needs attention.

Everything from the convenience of the location, to the cleanliness and quality of the stay. It was surely a value for money.

The drainage system in the bathroom basin seems to be clogged. Water fills up the basin than the drainage can release the water. Not really a problem, but it was worrying.

I stayed at Menlyn Maine from 19–21 December for my birthday with my partner. Unfortunately, our stay was not fully comfortable. When we arrived, the washing machine was still running with sheets inside, which made us feel like the room was not prepared on time for our check-in. The space also didn’t accommodate two people well. There was only one chair and no proper table for breakfast or lunch, which made it difficult to sit and enjoy our meals. The small table provided was not practical for two guests. We also had issues with the plug points. When plugging in items like the iron or charger, the TV switched off, which was inconvenient. The swimming pool was quite far from our room as well — we were on the 7th floor and the pool was on the 16th — so it didn’t feel easily accessible. Besides these points, I don’t have complaints about other things. I believe small improvements like ensuring the room is fully ready before arrival, adding more seating, a proper table, and fixing the plug points would make the stay more comfortable for couples.

The staff was amazing. Very warm and welcoming.

There seemed to be an issue with the drain. And the unit isnt really well kept. More could be done towards cleaning. There weren't any glasses or handwash at the basin. The towels are rather old

Close to main attractions.

The bed linen was dirty & had not been changed from previous guests. I informed them that I would be checking in late around midnight. When I arrived & reported the dirty bed, they wanted me to send pictures, which I did, but later came back to say there was no one to change the bedding. I ended up using the extra blanket from the wardrobe, just to cover & sleep in it, as it was the only thing that was clean. This was very disappointing! I had paid R1600, for a dirty bed!

Property was neat and perfectly located. Bed was very comfy and bedding pristine.

For the price, there should be better amenities. No tea/milk. No wine glasses. Only 4 hangers. Dirty plugs, bedside lamps not plugged in (no adapter on the one side for the lamp). Broken bar stool on patio (almost fell off).

Central close to everything

Small details and no real effort not much interior design effort either. The only workspace was a small table, which wasn’t very practical. Having stayed in many places in this area, I found this one to be quite average in comparison.
