It is remote and it’s not in the security estate so safety can be a concern.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026One cannot fault the estate or the scenery. The house is extremely comfortable and every need is catered for. The fittings and furnishings are of exceptional quality and tasteful.
It would have been nice to receive some supplies for the first day, like wood and coffee capsules, dishwashing tablets (these were provided the next morning), especially considering the price range of the property. We've become used to these basics being provided. We found the lighting in the living areas inadequate, especially in the kitchen. We are foodies and it was difficult to cook and chop.

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026The house was very well kept and clean. It had all the amenities we like, especially in the kitchen. Each room was big enough for everybody and it was very comfortable and a pleasure to stay there. I love the fact that each bedroom was en suite and that it had a shower as well.
The only one problem was that we did not have electricity on Saturday night, the 2nd night there and did not come back on till we left Sunday and still no electricity. When we contacted the host, she said she will get back to us and she never did. There was no back up power. The host said that she was not allowed it on the Estate but in this day and age, especially in South Africa, you would need solar, or at least an inverter. Any form of backup power source would have helped.

Really nothing to complain about. Just very small details. One sliding door is still not working 1 year later and the wine bottle opener was broken.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2024Beautiful house, with a beautiful view. Big and spacious. Walking through the Estate was so amazing and calming. Loved the Hotel for a quick coffee or drink. By far the most beautiful home we have stayed in.

The location is outside Walkersons estate, although it’s part of it; The beds are VERY uncomfortable; Electricity problems with no back up solar/inverter (will expect it for the amount of money paid) Towels are stained A couple of maintenance problems, that should be sorted out before guests arrive

The host!!! Promises and more empty promises! There is no professional cleaning services! Our towels dirty, dustbins were not cleaned, laundry was not washed, although we were instructed by our host where to leave our laundry! There was a spice rack full off spice, which were not ours dating back to 2021! No information book for WiFi password, which light switches work where or any information regarding the possibility of fishing. By the way, if you want to fish on the estate, it is R200 per person per day, catch and release only!!!! Our host further promised to reimburse us for one nights stay, but since leaving, she has been ignoring all phone calls and messages!!! Appalling service and attitude and this premium price!

Reviewed Mar 7, 2024The neighbour guest played very loud music and made a lot of noice right through Friday night and the whole Saturday. It was so loud that we sometimes battled to hear one another and it was not appropriate for the quiet and serene area we were in but it is not any fault of the owners of 96 on Valley.
