The room was large. The staff were pleasant - some more than others. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful

The room had slanted ceilings that were low & I often bumped my head. There was no air-conditioning so I had to leave the patio door open & there was a baby crying all night and other sounds. The beds were uncomfortable & small. The bed duvet was noisy and cumbersome. I would have preferred a second sheet or light blanket.

Quiet location, great vibe, amazing helpful staff and fantastic property with great amenities, spa and very spacious rooms, and the main and the best part….Our room was a Matterhorn facing room and ohh boy..what a beautiful view. Can be seen in the images I have shared.

Chambre spacieuse, Très propre , Douche moderne, chauffe eau et machine à café, grand balcon, 3ème lit dans une petite chambre annexe, piscine-spa ouvert de 7h jusqu'à 22h. Petit déjeuner continental servi jusqu'à 11h. Personnel très accueillant. Complex familly friendly.

Everything. It is the best place to stay in Zermatt

Some fraudster got my booking number and dates and tried to verify my credit card. Since the word reservation was misspelled I became suspicious. I send all my emails to Booking .com and the hotel and we had to cancel the reservation and make it again. This was stressful. I’ve NEVER reply to any link outside of the app.

The reception staffs are quite helpful, and the cuisine is of a high standard. The hotel is conveniently located within easy reach of the railway station and offers a complimentary shuttle service for guest transfers. The room type I booked offers a partial view of the Matterhorn.

Location, close to train station but far from lifts Taxi’s around Zermatt are expensive not hotels fault but they cannot leave you anywhere Bathroom door is shared with toilet and shower which is a bit weird. Breakfast was ok wasn’t as good as other 4 star hotels

Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was diverse and delicious. Our room was beautiful with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. The spa was really clean and varied, we made use of all of the facilities. We enjoyed the short walk into the main area of Zermatt but the free shuttle was on hand to run us to the station on departure. Thank you for a fantastic stay. We hope to see you again sometime.

Best hotel pool and spa ever

Super schönes Spa mit extra Kindern Pool und Spielzimmer. Das war unser Highlight als Familie. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls super mit einem super Kaffee und alles was es brauchen könnte.

Die Zimmer waren nicht auf dem 4-Sterne Niveau. Die Balkontür war kaputt und die Matratze vom Schlafsofa echt schmuddelig

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort in Zermatt. The location is stunning, with breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our trip truly memorable. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Zermatt. We would happily stay here again on our next visit.

Mijn hele verblijf is verpest door nalatigheid en schandalig optreden van het hotelmanagement.

Tijdens mijn verblijf ben ik gefilmd door een vreemde mede hotelgast in de sauna. Er zijn meerdere mensen gefilmd en wij zijn allen zeer geshockeerd naar de receptie van het hotel gegaan om dit mede te delen. Er werd ons verzekerd dat dit werd opgelost maar na 3(!) dagen was deze persoon nog steeds niet gevonden. Het hotel vertelde mij dat zij camera beelden hadden van de gebeurtenis (deze beelden heb ik zelf ook gezien). Echter hebben zij niks met deze beelden gedaan. Er is toegang nodig met de kamer pas tot de spa maar het hotel wilde deze data niet opzoeken om de dader op te sporen. Nota bene in de sauna waar men op zijn kwetsbaarst is, word ik gefilmd en neemt dit hotel mij niet serieus. Deze beelden zijn gebruikt door de overtreder en niemand heeft mij geholpen. Nu ben ik zelf naar de politie gestapt want het hotel lacht mij uit. Tijdens de rest van mijn verblijf heb ik de Spa niet meer durven te gebruiken. Ik voel mij zeer verraden.

Location was excellent. Facilities were excellent and included breakfast was tremendous. Family room was perfect for us. Had Matterhorn view from Balcony. Could stream videos to TV in room. Very comfortable stay and loved spa facilities everyday!

Ceiling fan or standing fan would make it better on really hot days.

Restaurant was over-priced an abyssmal food. I order a beef tartare that came in a bone serving piece that was surrounded by rock salt that unavaoidably came in contact with the beef. Good news, it will likely be years before I will order beef tartare again. No 'croutes', no condiments, just a small amount of over-salty chopped beef.

The spa facilities were incredible - exactly how you want to spend your afternoons after an active morning. The staff can collect / drop you off at the train station, and the communication via WhatsApp was very convenient.

The attitude for the lady at the front desk when we checked in is very bad. When we asked if there are labels for luggage’s stored in the storage room, she got very upset. Another case when we asked if there is high floor room available for view, they put us to the attic!!! It is not a regular room for all four of us. The side of ceiling is so low, my husband bumped his head 3 times. We paid so much high price for the room we looked at the booking, but turned out it was an attic. They should let us know in advance! The breakfast is standard.

The opening times of the reception are very limited. It would be much more convenient if the reception would start at least at 6am, not between 7am and 7:30am

staff attention could have been better

It is located on a different side of Zermatt town - quieter but still within walking distance to the train station. There was a play room that came in handy when the weather was too hot to explore outside and we didn’t have our swimwear for the spa. We could see the Matterhorn very clearly from our room! Awesome!

I was not able to call for the hotel shuttle when I reached since I had to call an international number, and the construction outside the hotel made it difficult for us to initial find the place and push our luggages on foot there.

The location was superb with local amenities near by, train station was a 10 minute walk away which was good, the view from our room was awesome with the Tip of Matterhorn in sight. Overall a good spot

Very poor breakfast, very basic, to what we paid for the accommodation which included breakfast, not much of a variety and pretty much the same everyday. Can’t complain though when there’s food on the table

A very spacious room with a great view of the Matterhorn. Short walk into the village. The pool complex was impressive. Facilities were great. Breakfast was excellant.

When I checked in on June 20, a female receptionist told me that she had upgraded my room to an apartment. I also paid the local tax at check-in. At that time, I asked her where the spa was, and she told me that I would have to pay an extra CHF 20 per person per day to use it. After that, I went out for a while. When I came back, I was taking a shower at around 9:30 p.m. when someone suddenly rang my doorbell and told me that I had to change rooms because the receptionist had given me the wrong room. They also said they would upgrade my room. However, after checking, I realized that I was simply being moved back to the room type I had originally booked, which already included breakfast and spa access. The evening receptionist was only taking over the shift, but he told me that this was not the first time the female receptionist from earlier had made a mistake. He also asked me to pay the local tax again, even though I had already paid it when I checked in that afternoon. The whole handover was completely disorganized, and they even tried to charge the guest again without checking properly. This is a dishonest hotel. I sincerely advise everyone not to stay here.

We had a truly beautiful stay at the Alpenhotel Resort & Spa. The hospitality was exceptional—everyone made us feel so welcome. The location is fantastic, the breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning, and the views of the Matterhorn are simply stunning.
